1Efficacy and safety of metformin and sitagliptin based triple antihyperglycemic therapy(STRATEGY):a multicenter,randomized,controlled,non-inferiority clinical trial显示文摘Despite the current guideline's recommendation of a timely stepwise intensification therapy,the 'clinical inertia',termed as the delayed treatment intensification,commonly exists in the real world,which may be partly due to the relatively little substantial evidence and no clear consensus regarding the efficacy and safety of triple oral agents in patients inadequately controlled with dual therapy.In this clinical trial performed in 237 centers in China,5,535 type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled by previous therapies were treated with a stable metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy for 20 weeks.The patients who did not reach the glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) goal were then further randomized into glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose group for an additional 24-week triple therapy.A mean HbAlc reduction of 0.85%was observed when sitagliptin was added to the patients inadequately controlled with metformin in 16 weeks.Further HbAlc reductions in the 24-week triple therapy stage were 0.65%in glimepiride group,0.70%in gliclazide group,0.61%in repaglinide group,and 0.45%in acarbose group.The non-inferiority criterion for primary hypotheses was met for gliclazide and repaglinide,but not for acarbose,compared with glimepiride,when added to metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy.The incidences of adverse events(AEs) were 29.2%in the dual therapy stage and30.3%in the triple therapy stage.Metformin/sitagliptin as baseline therapy,with the addition of a third oral antihyperglycemic agent,including glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose,was effective,safe and well-tolerated for achieving an HbAlc<7.0%goal in type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled with previous therapies.The timely augmentation of up to three oral antihyperglycemic agents is valid and of important clinical benefit to prevent patients from exposure to unnecessarily prolonged hyperglycemia.Wen Xu Yiming Mu Jiajun Zhao Dalong Zhu Qiuhe Ji Zhiguang Zhou Bin Yao Anhua Mao Samuel S.Engel Bin Zhao Yan Bi Longyi Zeng Xingwu Ran Juming Lu Linong Ji Wenying Yang Weiping Jia Jianping Weng 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3:19
2The YDA-MKK4/MKK5-MPK3/MPK6 Cascade Functions Downstream of the RGF1-RGI Ligand-Receptor Pair in Regulating Mitotic Activity in Root Apical Meristem显示文摘The mitotic activity of root apical meristem(RAM)is critical to primary root growth and development.Previous studies have identified the roles of ROOT GROWTH FACTOR 1(RGF1),a peptide ligand,and its receptors,RGF1 INSENSITIVEs(RGIs),a clade of five leucine-rich-repeat receptor-like kinases,in promoting cell division in the RAM,which determines the primary root length.However,the downstream signaling components remain elusive.In this study,we identify a complete mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK or MPK)cascade,composed of YDA,MKK4/MKK5,and MPK3/MPK6,that functions downstream of the RGF1-RGI ligand-receptor pair.Similar to the rgi1/2/3/4/5 quintuple mutant,loss-of-function mutants of MPK3 and MPK6,MKK4 and MKK5,or YDA show a short-root phenotype,which is associated with reduced mitotic activity and lower expression of PLETHORA 1(PLT1)/PLT2 in the RAM.Furthermore,MPK3/MPK6 activation in response to exogenous RGF1 treatment is impaired in the rgi1/2/3/4/5 quintuple,yda single,and mkk4 m kk5 double mutants.Epistatic analyses demonstrated that the expression of constitutively active MKK4,MKK5,or YDA driven by the RGI2 promoter can rescue the short-root phenotype of the rgi1/2/3/4/5 mutant.Taken together,these results suggest that the YDA-MKK4/MKK5-MPK3/MPK6 cascade functions downstream of the RGF1-RGI ligand-receptor pair and upstream of PLT1/PLT2 to modulate the stem cell population and primary root growth in Arabidopsis.Yiming Shao Xinxing Yu Xuwen Xu Yong Li Wenxin Yuan Yan Xu Chuanzao Mao Shuqun Zhang Juan Xu 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,11:6
3Periodic performance of the chaotic spread spectrum sequence on finite precision显示文摘It is well known that the periodic performance of spread spectrum sequence heavily affects the cor-relative and secure characteristics of communication systems.The chaotic binary sequence is paid more and more attention since it is one kind of applicable spread spectrum sequences.However,there are unavoidable short cyclic problems for chaotic binary sequences in finite precision.The chaotic binary sequence generating methods are studied first.Then the short cyclic behavior of the chaotic sequences is analyzed in detail,which are generated by quantification approaches with finite word-length.At the same time,a chaotic similar function is defined for presenting the cyclic characteristics of the sequences.Based on these efforts,an improved method with scrambling control for generating chaotic binary sequences is proposed.To quantitatively describe the improvement of periodic performance of the sequences,an orthogonal estimator is also defined.Some simulating results are provided.From the theoretical deduction and the experimental results,it is concluded that the proposed method can effectively increase the period and raise the complexity of the chaotic sequences to some extent.Zhu Canyan Zhang Lihua Wang Yiming Liu Jiasheng Mao Lingfeng 2008Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2008,19,4:3
4NONLINEAR TRANSIENT RESPONSE OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED SHALLOW SPHERICAL SHELLS SUBJECTED TO MECHANICAL LOAD AND UNSTEADY TEMPERATURE FIELD显示文摘This paper is concerned with the transient deformation of functionally graded(FG)shallow spherical shells subjected to time-dependent thermomechanical load. Based on TimoshenkoMindlin hypothesis and von Karman nonlinear theory, a set of nonlinear governing equations of motion for FG shallow spherical shells in regard to transverse shear deformation and all the inertia terms are established using Hamilton's principle. The collocation point method and Newmarkbeta scheme in conjunction with the finite difference method are adopted to solve the governing equations of motion and the unsteady heat conduction equation numerically. 6Effective Sea Clutter Spectrum Extraction Method for HFSWR in Adverse Conditions显示文摘An effective approach in solving the sea clutter spectrum extraction problem is studied in the paper.Different from the conventional signal to noise ratio(SNR)method based on Doppler frequency or range domain information,a method is developed to characterize the differences between the sea echo and those interferences are by signal to interference plus noise ratio(SINR)which jointly utilizing the range,Doppler frequency and azimuth domain information.Furthermore,these differences can be adaptable to adverse conditions by forming the necessary boundaries and constraints in searching of the maximum SINR,which greatly promotes the extraction of sea clutter spectrum.The real high frequency surface wave radar(HFSWR)data demonstrate that the proposed method is less influenced by those interferences and can effectively extract the sea clutter spectrum even under the adverse conditions.Furthermore,it has been shown as an effective method for ship detection and sea state remote sensing of HFSWR.Yiming Wang Xingpeng Mao Jie Zhang Yonggang Ji 2017Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2017,26,3:1

16Improving schedule adherence based on dynamic signal control and speed guidance in connected bus system显示文摘Purpose–The purpose of this paper is to develop a dynamic control method to improve bus schedule adherence under connected bus system.Design/methodology/approach–The authors developed a dynamic programming model that optimally schedules the bus operating speed at road sections and multiple signal timing plans at intersections to improve bus schedule adherence.First,the bus route was partitioned into three types of sections:stop,road and intersection.Then,transit agencies can control buses in real time based on all collected information;i.e.control bus operating speed on road sections and adjust the signal timing plans through signal controllers to improve the schedule adherence in connected bus environment.Finally,bus punctuality at the downstream stop and the saturation degree deviations of intersections were selected as the evaluation criteria in optimizing signal control plans and bus speeds jointly.Findings–An illustrative case study by using a bus rapid transit line in Jinan city was performed to verify the proposed model.It revealed that based on the proposed strategy,the objective value could be reduced by 73.7%,which indicated that the punctuality was highly improved but not to incur excessive congestion for other vehicular traffic.Originality/value–In this paper,the authors applied speed guidance and the adjustment of the signal control plans for multiple cycles in advance to improve the scheduled stability;furthermore,the proposed control strategy can reduce the effect on private traffics to the utmost extend.Mingjie Hao Yiming Bie Le Zhang Chengyuan Mao 2020Journal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles2020,3,2:0
17In-situ coupling construction of interface bridge to enhance electrochemical stability of all solid-state lithium metal batteries显示文摘Polymer-based composite electrolytes composed of three-dimensional Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(2)Al_(0.2)O_(12)(3D-LLZAO)have attracted increasing attention due to their continuous ion conduction and satisfactory mechanical properties.However,the organic/inorganic interface is incompatible,resulting in slow lithium-ion transport at the interface.Therefore,the compatibility of organic/inorganic interface is an urgent problem to be solved.Inspired by the concept of“gecko eaves”,polymer-based composite solid electrolytes with dense interface structures were designed.The bridging of organic/inorganic interfaces was established by introducing silane coupling agent(3-chloropropyl)trimethoxysilane(CTMS)into the PEO-3D-LLZAO(PL)electrolyte.The in-situ coupling reaction improves the interface affinity,strengthens the organic/inorganic interaction,reduces the interface resistance,and thus achieves an efficient interface ion transport network.The prepared PEO-3D-LLZAO-CTMS(PLC)electrolyte exhibits enhanced ionic conductivity of 6.04×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)and high ion migration number(0.61)at 60℃and broadens the electrochemical window(5.1 V).At the same time,the PLC electrolyte has good thermal stability and high mechanical properties.Moreover,the Li Fe PO_(4)|PLC|Li battery has excellent rate performance and cycling stability with a capacity decay rate of 2.2%after 100 cycles at 60℃and 0.1 C.These advantages of PLC membranes indicate that this design approach is indeed practical,and the in-situ coupling method provides a new approach to address interface compatibility issues.Qianwei Zhang Rong Yang Chao Li Lei Mao Bohai Wang Meng Luo Yinglin Yan Yiming Zou Lisheng Zhong Yunhua Xu 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,89,2:0
18MECHANICAL AND ACOUSTIC RESPONSE OF AN UNDERWATER STRUCTURE SUBJECTED TO MECHANICAL EXCITATION显示文摘In this paper, an underwater structure is modeled as a cylindrical shell with internal bulkheads, and closed by a truncated conical shell, and it consists of metal substrate and sound absorbing coating, whose FGM core is considered. Suppose the inner cavity and outer space of the structure are filled with air and fluid mediums, the mechanical response of the underwater structure is calculated with Galerkin method while the acoustic response is investigated by means of the Helmholtz integral. 19Graphene quantum dots as sulfiphilic and lithiophilic mediator toward high stability and durable life lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The development of lithium-sulfur(Li-S) battery as one of the most attractive energy storage systems among lithium metal batteries is seriously hindered by low sulfur utilization, poor cycle stability and uneven redeposition of Li anode. It is necessary to propose strategies to address the problems as well as improve the electrochemical performance. One of the effective solutions is to improve the sulfiphilicity of sulfur cathode and the lithiophilicity of the Li anode. Herein, we reported that a synergistic functional separator(graphene quantum dots(GQDs)-polyacrylonitrile(PAN) @polypropylene(PP) separator)improved the electrochemical activity of sulfur cathode as well as the stability of Li anode. GQDs induced uniform Li^(+)nucleation and deposition, which slowed down the passivation of Li anode and avoided shortcircuit. Further, three-dimensional network constructed by electrospinning nanofibers and the polar functional groups of GQDs could both effectively inhibit the shuttle of LiPSs and improve the sulfur utilization. The stability of Li-S battery was improved by the synergistic effect. In addition, GQDs and electrospinning nanofibers protector increased lifetime of separators. Benefiting from the unique design strategy, Li//Li symmetric battery with GQDs-PAN@PP separators exhibited stably cycling for over 600 h. More importantly, the Li-S full batteries based GQDs-PAN@PP separators enabled high stability and desirable sulfur electrochemistry, including high reversibility of 558.09 mA h g^(-1)for 200 cycles and durable life with a low fading rate of 0.075% per cycle after 500 cycles at 0.5 C. Moreover, an impressive areal capacity of 3.23 mA h cm^(-2)was maintained under high sulfur loading of 5.10 mg cm^(-2). 20Sialoglycoproteins Isolated from the Eggs of Gadus morhua Inhibit Bone Resorption in Ovariectomized Rats by Suppressing the MAPK and NF-κB Pathways显示文摘The present study investigated the anti-osteoporosis function and the mechanism of sialoglycoproteins isolated from the eggs of Gadus morhua(Gm-SGP)on ovariectomized(OVX)rats.After 3 months of Gm-SGP treatment,OVX-induced bone loss was suppressed and uncoupling bone turnover was balanced,as indicated by systemic biomarkers of bone metabolism;no uterine estrogenicity was observed.Moreover,rats administered with Gm-SGP exhibited increased bone mineral density and biomechanical strength and significant restoration of the trabecular microarchitecture compared with rats in the control group.Gm-SGP significantly decreased bone resorption-related indicators in serum.Investigation of the associated mechanisms revealed that Gm-SGP significantly increases the OPG/RANKL ratio at the mRNA and protein levels.Further research suggested that Gm-SGP inhibits the mRNA and protein expressions of important transcription factors of the MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways.It also attenuates the activation of related transduction signaling pathways by inhibiting phosphorylation of JNK,ERK,p38,and NF-κB,and ultimately suppresses the induction of c-Fos and NFATc1.Overall,these results demonstrate that Gm-SGP inhibits bone resorption by suppressing osteoclastogenesis-related MAPK and NF-κB pathways,thereby improving osteoporosis.MAO Lei WANG Yiming WANG Meiling DAI Yufeng WANG Jingfeng XUE Changhu 2019Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,5:0
