| 1 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 2 | Magnetic resonance imaging:A new tool for diagnosis of acute ischemic colitis?显示文摘AIM:To define the evolution of ischemic lesions with 7T magnetic resonance imaging(7T-MRI)in an animal model of acute colonic ischemia.METHODS:Adult Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into two groups.GroupⅠ underwent inferior mesenteric artery(IMA)ligation followed by macroscopic observations and histological analysis.In groupⅡ,7T-MRI was performed before and after IMA ligation and followed by histological analysis.RESULTS:Morphological alterations started to develop 1 h after IMA ligation,when pale areas became evident in the splenic flexure mesentery and progressively worsened up to 8 h thereafter,when the mesentery was less pale,and the splenic flexure loop appeared very dark.The 7T-MRI results reflected these alterations,showing a hyperintense signal in both the intraperitoneal space and the colonic loop wall 1 h after IMA ligation;the latter progressively increased to demonstrate a reduction in the colonic loop lumen at 6 h.Eight hours after IMA ligation,MRI showed a persistent colonic mural hyperintensity associated with a reduction in peritoneal free fluid.The 7T-MRI findings were correlated with histological alterations,varying from an attenuated epithelium with glandular apex lesions at 1 h to coagulative necrosis and loss of the surface epithelium detected 8 h after IMA ligation.CONCLUSION:MRI may be used as a substitute for invasive procedures in diagnosing and grading acute ischemic colitis,allowing for the early identification of pathological findings. | Francesca Iacobellis Daniela Berritto Francesco Somma Carlo Cavaliere Marco Corona Santolo Cozzolino Franco Fulciniti Salvatore Cappabianca Antonio Rotondo Roberto Grassi | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012，18，13： | 7 |
| 3 | Distribution and origin of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in surface sediments from an urban river basin at the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba,Brazil显示文摘The concentrations of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) were determined in surface sediment samples from nine sites located at the Iguau River Basin in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba,Brazil to evaluate their distribution and sources.The total concentration of the PAHs was greater for sediments from highly urbanized areas,while the sediments from the Iraí Environmental Protection Area(Iraí EPA) showed significantly low concentrations.The sediments from the Iguau and Barigui rivers were classified as highly contaminated,while those from the Cercado and Curralinho rivers were classified as moderately contaminated.The predominance of PAHs containing two to four aromatic rings in most of the samples suggested the direct input of raw sewage into the water resources evaluated.Benzo[g,h,i]perylene,dibenzo[a,h]anthracene and indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene were predominant in sediments from the areas under the greatest urban and industrial development.The correlation between thermodynamic stability and the kinetics of evolution presented by the isomeric pairs indicated that combustion is the predominant source of PAHs in the sediments because the combustion of fossil fuels affected most of the points evaluated,followed by combustion of biomass and eventually combustion of oil product inputs.In general,the results showed that areas under strong urban influence,as well as the Iraí EPA,receive contributions of PAHs from similar sources. | Natalicio Ferreira Leite Patricio Peralta-Zamora Marco Tadeu Grassi | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011，23，6： | 4 |
| 4 | Optimization of transdisciplinary management of elderly with femur proximal extremity fracture:A patient-tailored plan from orthopaedics to rehabilitation显示文摘Fractures of femur proximal extremity(FFPE)are the most common fragility fractures requiring hospitalization,with a high risk of mortality,low independence in the activities of daily living and severe consequences on healthrelated quality of life.Timing for surgery has a key role in the management of elderly patients with FFPE as recommended by the Australian and New Zealand guidelines and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines.Early surgery(within 48 h from hospital admission)allows significant benefits in terms of lower rates of postoperative complications and risk of death and can provide better functional outcomes.Therefore,time for surgery could be considered as a comorbidity marker.The choice between conservative or surgical approach surprisingly seems to be still not strongly supported by available literature,but it seems that both 30 d and 1 year risk of mortality is higher with the conservative treatment rather than with surgery.In light of these considerations,the optimization of FFPE management care is mandatory to improve functional outcomes and to reduce sanitary costs.Albeit it is widely accepted that transdisciplinary approach to patients suffering from FFPE is mandatory to optimize both short-term and long-term outcomes,the feasibility of a comprehensive approach in clinical practice is still a challenge.In particular,the large variability of figures involved could be considered both a resource and an additional disadvantage taking into account the difficulty to coordinate multidisciplinary approach covering care in all settings.Therefore,the aim of the present article was to summarize current evidence supporting transdisciplinary management of patients with FFPE,highlighting the benefits,feasibility and limitations of this approach. | Alessandro de Sire Marco Invernizzi Alessio Baricich Lorenzo Lippi Antonio Ammendolia Federico Alberto Grassi Massimiliano Leigheb | 2021 | World Journal of Orthopedics2021，12，7： | 3 |

In most cases, HCV infection becomes chronic causing liver disease ranging from fibrosis to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Viral persistence and pathogenesis are due to the ability of HCV to deregulate specific host processes, mainly lipid metabolism and innate immunity. In particular, HCV exploits the lipoprotein machineries for almost all steps of its life cycle. | 6 | State of the art biological therapies in pancreatic cancer显示文摘Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC) is one of the most lethal malignancies with a five-year survival rate of approximately 5%. Several target agents have been tested in PDAC, but almost all have failed to demonstrate efficacy in late phase clinical trials, despite the better understanding of PDAC molecular biology generated by large cancer sequencing initiatives in the past decade. Eroltinib(a small-molecule tyrosine-kinase inhibitor of epidermal growth factor receptor) plus gemcitabine is the only schedule with a biological agent approved for advanced pancreatic cancer, but it has resulted in a very modest survival benefit in unselected patients.
