| 1 | Topical application of glycyrrhizin preparation ameliorates experimentally induced colitis in rats显示文摘AIM:To examine the efficacy of glycyrrhizin preparation(GL-p) in the treatment of a rat model of ulcerative colitis(UC).METHODS:Experimental colitis was induced by oral administration of dextran sodium sulfate.Rats with colitis were intrarectally administered GL-p or saline.The extent of colitis was evaluated based on body weight gain,colon wet weight,and macroscopic damage score.The expression levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines in the inflamed mucosa were measured by cytokine antibody array analysis.The effect of GL-p on myeloperoxidase(MPO) activity in the inflamed mucosa and purified enzyme was assayed.RESULTS:GL-p treatment significantly ameliorated the extent of colitis compared to sham treatment with saline.Cytokine antibody array analysis showed that GL-p treatment significantly decreased the expression levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines,including interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,tumor necrosis factor-α,cytokine-induced neutrophil chemoattractant-2,and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 in the inflamed mucosa.Furthermore,GL-p inhibited the oxidative activity of mucosal and purified MPO.CONCLUSION:GL-p enema has a therapeutic effect on experimental colitis in rats and may be useful in the treatment of UC. | Tomohiro Kudo Shinichi Okamura Yajing Zhang Takashige Masuo Masatomo Mori | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，17： | 23 |
| 2 | Topical nitrate drip infusion using cystic duct tube for retained bile duct stone:A six patients case series显示文摘A retained bile duct stone after operation for cholelithiasis still occurs and causes symptoms such as biliary colic and obstructive jaundice.An endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography with endoscopic sphincterotomy(EST),followed by stone extraction,are usually an effective treatment for this condition.However,these procedures are associated with severe complications including pancreatitis,bleeding,and duodenal perforation.Nitrates such as glyceryl trinitrate(GTN) and isosorbide dinitrate(ISDN) are known to relax the sphincter of Oddi.In 6 cases in which a retained stone was detected following cholecystectomy,topical nitrate drip infusion via cystic duct tube(C-tube) was carried out.Retained stones of 2-3 mm diameter and no dilated common bile duct in 3 patients were removed by drip infusion of 50 mg GTN or 10 mg ISDN,which was the regular dose of intravenous injection.Three other cases failed,and EST in 2 cases and endoscopic biliary balloon dilatation in 1 case were performed.One patient developed an adverse event of nausea.Severe complications were not observed.We consider the topical nitrate drip infusion via C-tube to be old but safe,easy,and inexpensive procedure for retained bile duct stone following cholecystectomy,inasmuch as removal rate was about 50% in our cases. | Masatoshi Shoji Hiroshi Sakuma Yutaka Yoshimitsu Tsutomu Maeda Masuo Nakai Hiroshi Ueda | 2013 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2013，5，6： | 4 |

| 4 | Isolation and characterization of a human apoptosis-inducing gene with yeast two-hybrid system显示文摘asy gene is a novel apoptosis-inducing gene, but its mechanism is unclear. To investigate the mechanism of asy inducing apoptosis, a novel gene encoding ASY interacting protein (asyip) is isolated from human lung cell line (WI-38) cDNA library with yeast two-hybrid system. The asyip gene is constitutively expressed as two mRNA transcripts with the size of 1.8 and 2.7 kb in various human tissues at different levels. Sequence analysis of full-length cDNA reveals that the two alternative transcripts of asyip gene contain common 5’ end and different 3’ end, and share a common open reading frame encoding a polypeptide of 236 amino acids. Two protein kinase C phosphorylation sites and two casein kinase II phosphorylation sites are found in ASYIP amino acid sequence. Two highly hydrophobic regions encoding potentially two transmembrane domains are present. The ASYIP protein contains a C-terminal endoplasmic reticulum retrieval signal (Lys-Lys-Lys-Ala-Glu).
