1Survival rate:an indicator of the management of acquired immune deficiency syndrome using Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘Complementary and alternative medicine,including Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),has been used as therapy against acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) for almost 30 years. Based on evaluation indicators for AIDS treatment using TCM,we discuss why the survival rate(which has been used widely in Western Medicine) should be adopted as a new important indicator of TCM treatment for AIDS. 3Effects of cementation on physical properties of clastic rock-originated weathering crust reservoirs in the Kexia region,Junggar Basin,NW China显示文摘Cements are widely developed in clastic rock-originated weathering crust(CWC)reservoirs in the Kexia region along the northwestern margin of the Junggar Basin and significantly affect reservoir physical properties and oil and gas distribution in this area.Focusing on the CWC reservoirs at the top of both the Permian Jiamuhe Formation and the Triassic Karamay Formation,this study analyzed the types and characteristics of cements in the reservoirs and explored their effects on reservoir physical properties based on thin sections,SEM images,XRD results,and tests of physical properties.The main results are as follows.The cements in the CWC reservoirs in Kexia region mainly consist of carbonate minerals(41.5%),clay minerals(27.8%)and zeolite minerals(30%),as well as small amount of siliceous minerals.Among them,the carbonate minerals are dominated by siderite and calcite,the clay minerals mainly include kaolinite,interstratified illite/smectite(I/S)and chlorite,and the zeolite minerals primarily comprise heulandite and laumontite.These different types of multiphase cements are generally paragenetic or associated and affect reservoir physical properties to different degrees.Specifically,the carbonate and clay cements of the early diagenetic stage reduced the reservoirs’average porosity from 21%to 15%.The dissolution of some carbonate and zeolite cements in the early A substage of the middle diagenetic stage restored the average porosity to 18%,and the cementation in the late A substage decreased the average porosity to 13%again,of which about 4%was reduced by carbonate cements.The average porosity of the CWC reservoirs gradually decreased to the current value of approximately 10%in the B substage of the middle diagenetic stage.The impact of cementation on the CWC reservoirs can reach as far as 70 m below the unconformity.Moreover,the types and contents of cements vary with their depth below the unconformity surface,leading to the development of multiple zones with high cement content and the differentiated oil and gas distribution.Changhai Gao Shida Meng Jiahao Zhang Jian Wang Yifei Sun 2023Energy Geoscience2023,4,1:0
4Design and evaluation of a maize monitoring system for precision planting显示文摘To increase the accuracy and real-time performance of on-line assessment of maize planting,a CAN bus based maize monitoring system for precision planting was designed and tested both in laboratory and field.The system was mainly comprised of:(a)seeding rate sensors based on opposite-type infrared photoelectric cell for counting the dropping seeds;(b)a decimeter GPS receiver for acquiring planter position and operation speed;(c)a vehicle monitoring terminal based on ARM Cotex-m4 core chip to acquire and process the whole-system data;(d)a touchscreen monitor to display the planter performance for the operator;and(e)a buzzer alarm to sound a warning when skip and double seeding happened.Taking the applicability,dependability and feasibility of the monitoring system into consideration,the opposite-type infrared photoelectric sensors were selected and their deployment strategies in the 6-port seed tube were analyzed.To decrease the average response time,a distributed information communication structure was adopted.In this information communication mode,collectors were designed for each individual sensor and communicated with sensors through two-wire CAN bus.A sensor together with the designed collector is called a sensor node,and each of them worked individually and took the responsibility for acquiring,processing,and transiting the on-going information.Laboratory test results showed that the random error distribution was approximately normal,and by liner analysis,the system observed value and the true value had as a liner relationship with coefficient of determination R^(2)=0.9991.Series of field tests showed that the seeding rate maximum relative error of the 6-port seed tube was 2.92%,and the maximum root mean square error(RMSE)was about 1.64%.The monitoring system,including sensor nodes,vehicle monitoring terminal and a touch-screen monitor,was proved to be dependable and stable with more than 14 d of continuous experiments in field.Yanxin Yin Liping Chen Zhijun Meng Bin Li Changhai Luo Weiqiang Fu Hebo Mei Wuchang Qin 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,4:0
5Genomic and transcriptomic dissection of Theionarchaea in marine ecosystem显示文摘Theionarchaea is a recently described archaeal class within the Euryarchaeota.While it is widely distributed in sediment ecosystems,little is known about its metabolic potential and ecological features.Here,we used metagenomics and metatranscriptomics to characterize 12 theionarchaeal metagenome-assembled genomes,which were further divided into two subgroups,from coastal mangrove sediments of China and seawater columns of the Yap Trench.Genomic analysis revealed that apart from the canonical sulfhydrogenase,Theionarchaea harbor genes encoding heliorhodopsin,group 4[NiFe]-hydrogenase,and flagellin,in which genes for heliorhodopsin and group 4[NiFe]-hydrogenase were transcribed in mangrove sediment.Further,the theionarchaeal substrate spectrum may be broader than previously reported as revealed by metagenomics and metatranscriptomics,and the potential carbon substrates include detrital proteins,hemicellulose,ethanol,and CO_(2).The genes for organic substrate metabolism(mainly detrital protein and amino acid metabolism genes)have relatively higher transcripts in the top sediment layers in mangrove wetlands.In addition,co-occurrence analysis suggested that the degradation of these organic compounds by Theionarchaea might be processed in syntrophy with fermenters(e.g.,Chloroflexi)and methanogens.Collectively,these observations expand the current knowledge of the metabolic potential of Theionarchaea,and shed light on the metabolic strategies and roles of these archaea in the marine ecosystems.Mingwei Cai Changhai Duan Xinxu Zhang Jie Pan Yang Liu Cuijing Zhang Meng Li 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,6:0
