1Delivery of triptolide with reduction-sensitive polymer nanoparticles for liver cancer therapy on patient-derived xenografts models显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has become the fourth predominant cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide,and HCC is still one of the worst prognoses for survival as it is poorly responsive to both chemotherapy and surgical treatment due to drug resista nce and great toxic effects.Triptolide(TP),a key ingredient from the traditional Chinese medical herb,has been utilized to treat inflammation and antitumor for centuries.However,investigations of this potent agent have been met with only limited success due to the severe systemic toxicities in patients and low water solubility as well as its high toxicity over the past two decades.Herein,we reported the development of a reduction-responsive drug delive ry system loaded with TP fo r glutathione(GSH)-trigge red drug release for cancer therapy.With the GSH-sensitive TP loaded nanoparticles,the remarkable increases in tumor accumulation and amelioration of drug toxicity in animals are demonstrated,which is likely due to sustained stepwise release of active TP within cancer cells.Moreover,in a patient-derived tumor xenograft model of liver cancer,administration of tritolide nanoparticles enhances the antitumor efficacy relative to administration of free TP.These findings indicate that GSH-sensitive release of TP may be a promising strategy for cancer treatment.Mengxue He Ling Yu Yuanyuan Yang Binhua Zou Wen Ma Meng Yu Jiandong Lu Guoliang Xiong Zhiqiang Yu Aimin Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,12:5
2Effect of scar-producing moxibustion at the acupoints Zusanli(ST 36) and Feishu(BL 13) on neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and quality of life in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer: A randomized,controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of heat stimulation via scar-producing moxibustion at the acupoints Zusanli(ST 36) and Feishu(BL 13) on the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and quality of life in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).METHODS: Seventy patients with NSCLC were randomly assigned into two groups: group A received scar-producing moxibustion at the acupoints Zusanli(ST 36) and Feishu(BL 13) every day for 6 weeks, while group B received no intervention(control group). Outcome measures were the NLR and the scores from the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30). The NLR and the EORTC QLQ-C30 were assessed at baseline and at the end of 6 weeks.RESULTS: Five participants dropped out, leaving afinal total of 65 participants who completed the trial. Groups A and B had a similar mean NLR at baseline. After the treatment course, the NLR in group A was significantly lower than that in group B(P <0.001). Compared with group B, the EORTC QLQ-C30 scores in group A were significantly greater in terms of global health status or quality of life(P < 0.001) and function(P < 0.05), and significantly lower in terms of symptoms(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: The present study suggests that performing scar-producing moxibustion by heat-stimulating the acupoints Zusanli(ST 36) and Feishu(BL13) effectively decreases the NLR and improves the quality of life in patients with NSCLC.Zhang Mengxue Guan Ling Wang Lili Li Ying 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,3:3
3Microwave-assisted pyrolysis of waste plastics for their resource reuse:A technical review显示文摘Rapidly increasing plastics have been used and finally become wastes,resulting in increasing pressures to the environment.Microwave-assisted pyrolysis is a promising technology for converting organic wastes as waste plastics into value-added products.At present,many works on microwave-assisted pyrolysis of plastics have been published,but the achievements,challenges,and future directions of microwave-assisted pyrolysis of waste plastics have not been well summarized and discussed.In this work,the principle of microwave-assisted pyrolysis technology is introduced.Then,the progress of its application to recover useful products from plastics is reviewed and discussed in terms of key parameters including microwave power,pyrolysis temperature,reaction time,types of catalyst,microwave absorbents and feedstock mixing ratio.Especially,the yields and properties of the produced oil,gas and char are correlated with the process parameters.Finally,the existing challenges and prospects of disposal/reuse of waste plastics by microwave-assisted pyrolysis technology are discussed.Xuan Hu Dachao Ma Guangyi Zhang Mengxue Ling Qiaoling Hu Kangyi Liang Jiacheng Lu Yifan Zheng 2023Carbon Resources Conversion2023,6,3:0
