2Effect of processing on the alkaloids in Aconitum tubers by HPLC-TOF/MS显示文摘According to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2015, only processed Aconitum tubers can be clinically applied, and the effect of processing is unclear. This research aimed to explore the effect of processing on cardiac efficacy of alkaloids in Aconitum tubers. First, the chemical ingredients in unprocessed and processed Aconitum tubers were identified and compared by using high performance liquid chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry(HPLC-TOF/MS) and multivariate pattern recognition methods. Then the representative alkaloids in Aconitum tubers, aconitine, benzoylaconine, and aconine, which belong to diester-diterpenoid alkaloids,monoester-diterpenoid alkaloids, and amine-diterpenoid alkaloids, respectively, were selected for further validation of attenuated mechanism. Subsequent pharmacological experiments with aconitine, benzoylaconine,and aconine in SD rats were used to validate the effect of processing on cardiac functions. After processing the Aconitum tubers, it was found that the contents of diester-diterpenoid alkaloids were reduced, and those of monoester-diterpenoid alkaloids and amine-diterpenoid alkaloids were increased, suggesting that diesterditerpenoid alkaloids were transformed into monoester-diterpenoid alkaloids and amine-diterpenoid alkaloids.Through further decocting the aconitine in boiling water, it was confirmed that the three alkaloids could be progressively transformed. Pharmacological experiments with aconitine, benzoylaconine, and aconine in SD rats showed that aconitine at a dose of 0.01 mg/kg and aconine at a dose of 10 mg/kg enhanced the cardiac function, while benzoylaconine at a dose of 2 mg/kg weakened the cardiac function. 3Study on the mechanism of copper-ammonia complex decomposition in struvite formation process and enhanced ammonia and copper removal显示文摘Heavy metals and ammonia are difficult to remove from wastewater,as they easily combine into refractory complexes.The struvite formation method(SFM) was applied for the complex decomposition and simultaneous removal of heavy metal and ammonia.The results indicated that ammonia deprivation by SFM was the key factor leading to the decomposition of the copper-ammonia complex ion.Ammonia was separated from solution as crystalline struvite,and the copper mainly co-precipitated as copper hydroxide together with struvite.Hydrogen bonding and electrostatic attraction were considered to be the main surface interactions between struvite and copper hydroxide.Hydrogen bonding was concluded to be the key factor leading to the co-precipitation.In addition,incorporation of copper ions into the struvite crystal also occurred during the treatment process.Cong Peng Liyuan Chai Chongjian Tang Xiaobo Min Yuxia Song Chengshan Duan Cheng Yu 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,1:9

5Plasma soluble C-type lectin-like receptor-2 is associated with the risk of coronary artery disease显示文摘Accumulating evidence suggests that C-type lectin-like receptor-2(CLEC-2)plays an important role in atherothrombosis.In this case-control study,we investigated the association between CLEC-2 and incidence of coronary artery disease(CAD).A total of 216 patients,including 14 cases of stable angina pectoris(SAP,non-ACS)and 202 cases of acute coronary syndrome(ACS),and 89 non-CAD control subjects were enrolled.Plasma levels of soluble CLEC-2(sCLEC-2)were measured using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Compared with the control group(65.69(55.36–143.22)pg/mL),the plasma levels of sCLEC-2 were significantly increased in patients with CAD(133.67(88.76–220.09)pg/mL)and ACS(134.16(88.88–225.81)pg/mL).The multivariate adjusted odds ratios(95%confidence interval)of CAD reached 2.01(1.52–2.66)(Ptrend<0.001)for each 1-quartile increase in sCLEC-2.Restricted cubic splines showed a positive dose-response association between sCLEC2 and CAD incidence(Plinearity<0.001).The addition of sCLEC-2 to conventional risk factors improved the C statistic(0.821 vs.0.761,P=0.004)and reclassification ability(net reclassification improvement:57.45%,P<0.001;integrated discrimination improvement:8.27%,P<0.001)for CAD.In conclusion,high plasma sCLEC-2 is independently associated with CAD risk,and the prognostic value of sCLEC-2 may be evaluated in future prospective studies.Min Fei Li Xiang Xichen Chai Jingchun Jin Tao You Yiming Zhao Changgeng Ruan Yiwen Hao Li Zhu 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,1:5

11High-pressure microwave-assisted synthesis of WS_(x)/Ni_(9)S_(8)/NF hetero-catalyst for efficient oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Designing the specific crystal phase with better intrinsic activity and more active sites is a very promising strategy for earth-abundant electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,a facile two-step method including the high-pressure microwave and the hydrothermal sulfurization is adopted to prepare the WS_(x)/Ni_(9)S_(8) hetero-catalyst on nickel foam(WS_(x)/Ni_(9)S_(8)/NF).Firstly,WO3 polyhedrons homogeneously cover the surface of NF through the high-pressure microwave hydrothermal process.Secondly,WS_(x)/Ni_(9)S_(8) nanoparticles on the surface of NF can be synthesized after a hydrothermal sulfurization,which has been confirmed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) elemental mapping and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM).The amorphous WSx and Ni9 S8 phase may provide the dual active sites for OER.The electrochemical measurements show that WS_(x)/Ni_(9)S_(8)/NF has superior OER activity with a low overpotential of 320 mV at the current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2),better than those of other samples.The enhanced OER performance may be due to the synergistic catalysis from Ni9 S8 phase and high valence of W.Owing to the stable structure of Ni9 S8,the long-term stability of WS_(x)/Ni_(9)S_(8)/NF for at least 10 h can be obtained.This work may provide a new approach for the doped nickel sulfides crystal phase through high-pressure microwave hydrothermal assistance for OER.Xue Ma Xin-Yu Zhang Min Yang Jing-Yi Xie Ren-Qing Lv Yong-Ming Chai Bin Dong 2021Rare Metals2021,40,5:3
12The Malaysian cataract surgery registry:incidence and risk factors of postoperative infectious endophthalmitis over a 7-year period显示文摘AIM:To report the incidence,risk factors and visual outcomes for postoperative endophthalmitis(POE)based on 7-year data from the Malaysian Ministry of Health Cataract Surgery Registry(MOH CSR).METHODS:Data was collected from the web-based MOH CSR.All consecutive cataract surgery patients from 1st June 2008 to 31st December 2014 were identified.Exclusion criteria were traumatic cataract or previous ocular surgery.Demographic data,ocular co-morbidities,intraoperative details and postoperative visual acuity(VA)at final ophthalmological follow-up were noted.All eyes were taken for analysis.Subjects with POE were compared against subjects with no POE for risk factor assessment using multiple logistic regressions.RESULTS:A total of 163 503 subjects were screened.The incidence of POE was 0.08%(131/163 503).Demographic POE risk factors included male gender(OR:2.121,95%CI:1.464-3.015)and renal disease(OR:2.867,95%CI:1.503-5.467).POE risk increased with secondary causes of cataract(OR:3.562,95%CI:1.740-7.288),uveitis(OR:11.663,95%CI:4.292-31.693)and diabetic retinopathy(OR:1.720,95%CI:1.078-2.744).Intraoperative factors reducing POE were shorter surgical time(OR:2.114,95%CI:1.473-3.032),topical or intracameral anaesthesia(OR:1.823,95%CI:1.278-2.602),posterior chamber intraocular lens(PCIOL;OR:4.992,95%CI:2.689-9.266)and foldable IOL(OR:2.276,95%CI:1.498-3.457).POE risk increased with posterior capsule rupture(OR:3.773,95%CI:1.915-7.432)and vitreous loss(OR:3.907,95%CI:1.720-8.873).Postoperative VA of 6/12 or better was achieved in 15.27%(20/131)subjects with POE.CONCLUSION:This study concurs with other studies regarding POE risk factors.Further strengthening of MOH CSR data collection process will enable deeper analysis and optimization of POE treatment.Yong Zheng Wai Fiona Lee Min Chew Mohamad Aziz Salowi Chai Liang Ang Yong Yuin Chong Tassha Hilda Adnan Pik-Pin Goh 2018International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2018,11,10:3
13Prospect of China's ambient air quality standards显示文摘Ambient air quality standards are the core strategic goal of ambient air quality management.Countries worldwide have given importance to research on the development of ambient air quality standards.To understand the history of the development of China’s ambient air quality standards,this study analyzed the background associated with all previous formulations and revisions of the standards,classification of functional areas,standard grading,pollutants,and evolution of the standard limits over the past 40 years.The results show that since the initial release of the“Ambient Air Quality Standard”by China in 1982,it has been supplemented once,revised twice,and modified twice.The first ambient air quality standard specified the standard limits of six pollutants commonly found in ambient air.With the development of ambient air quality management,the number of pollutants has increased to ten.Since the release of the“Ambient Air Quality Standards”in 2012,the ambient air quality in China has significantly improved.However,the proportion of cities meeting these standards is still low.At present,China is suitably positioned to make the standards associated with 24 hr SO2concentrations more stringent such that it meets the values defined in the World Health Organization(WHO)interim target-2 and the WHO air quality guideline(AQG).We further suggested that the SO2standard should be revised promptly.Simultaneously,regions with a relatively high proportion of cities meeting the standard are encouraged to introduce more stringent interim target limits in due course to manage the local ambient air quality.Zongshuang Wang Yufei Tan Min Guo Miaomiao Cheng Yanyue Gu Siyu Chen Xuefang Wu Fahe Chai 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,1:2

17Metal-doped(Cu,Zn)Fe2O4 from integral utilization of toxic Zn-containing electric arc furnace dust: An environment-friendly heterogeneous Fenton-like catalyst显示文摘Pure metal-doped(Cu,Zn)Fe2O4 was synthesized from Zn-containing electric arc furnace dust(EAFD)by solid-state reaction using copper salt as additive.The effects of pretreated EAFD-to-Cu2(OH)2CO3·6H2O mass ratio,calcination time,and calcination temperature on the structure and catalytic ability were systematically studied.Under the optimum conditions,the decolorization efficiency and total organic carbon(TOC)removal efficiency of the as-prepared ferrite for treating a Rhodamine B solution were approximately 90.0%and 45.0%,respectively,and the decolorization efficiency remained 83.0%after five recycles,suggesting that the as-prepared(Cu,Zn)Fe2O4 was an efficient heterogeneous Fenton-like catalyst with high stability.The high catalytic activity mainly depended on the synergistic effect of iron and copper ions occupying octahedral positions.More importantly,the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure(TCLP)analysis illustrated that the toxic Zncontaining EAFD was transformed into harmless(Cu,Zn)Fe2O4 and that the concentrations of toxic ions in the degraded solution were all lower than the national emission standard(GB/31574-2015),further confirming that the as obtained sample is an environment-friendly heterogeneous Fenton-like catalyst.Jun-wu Li Xing Han Rong-xia Chai Fang-qin Cheng Mei Zhang Min Guo 2020International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2020,27,7:2
18Warm ischemia time and elevated serum uric acid are associated with metabolic syndrome after liver transplantation with donation after cardiac death显示文摘AIM To describe the prevalence of posttransplant metabolic syndrome(PTMS) after donation after cardiac death(DCD) liver transplantation(LT) and the pre-and postoperative risk factors.METHODS One hundred and forty-seven subjects who underwent DCD LT from January 2012 to February 2016 were enrolled in this study. The demographics and the clinical characteristics of pre-and post-transplantation were collected for both recipients and donors. PTMS was defined according to the 2004 Adult Treatment Panel-Ⅲ criteria. All subjects were followed monthly for the initial 6 mo after discharge, and then, every 3 mo for 2 years. The subjects were followed every 6 mo or as required after 2 years post-LT.RESULTS The prevalence of PTMS after DCD donor orthotopic LT was 20/147(13.6%). Recipient's body mass index(P = 0.024), warm ischemia time(WIT)(P = 0.045), and posttransplant hyperuricemia(P = 0.001) were significantly associated with PTMS. The change in serum uric acid levels in PTMS patients was significantly higher than that in non-PTMS patients(P < 0.001). After the 1 s t mo, the level of serum uric acid of PTMS patients rose continually over a period, while it was unaltered in non-PTMS patients. After transplantation, the level of serum uric acid in PTMS patients was not associated with renal function.CONCLUSION PTMS could occur at early stage after DCD LT with growing morbidity with the passage of time. WIT and post-LT hyperuricemia are associated with the prevalence of PTMS. 19Fe-doped CoP core–shell structure with open cages as efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution显示文摘Developing a facile approach based on transition metal-based Prussian blue(PB)and its analogues(PBAs)with core-shell nanostructure is a very promising choice for constructing cost-effective electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,a bimetallic core-shell structure with open cages of Fe-doped CoP(Fe-CoP cage)has been synthesized using CoFe-PBA cage-4 as precursor through a facile hydrothermal method and following phosphating process.Interestingly,there is an open hole in each face center of Fe-CoP cage,which suggests the more exposure of active sites for OER.Electrochemical measurements show that Fe-CoP cage can afford a current density of 10 mA cm-2 at a low overpotential(300 mV),which is better than that of RuO2.The excellent performance can be attributed to Fe doping composition and unique open-cage core-shell structure.The synergistic effect derived from bimetallic active for OER has been discussed.And its great catalytic stability has been evaluated via 1000 cycles of CV and chronoamperometry measurement.This work provides a potential method to design multiple transitional metal-doping electrocatalysts with complex framework derived from PBAs for water splitting.Jing-Yi Xie Zi-Zhang Liu Jia Li Lei Feng Min Yang Yu Ma Da-Peng Liu Lei Wang Yong-Ming Chai Bin Dong 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9:2
20在结核病患者中通过评估解剖结构和视功能变化早期发现乙胺丁醇毒性(英文)显示文摘目的:通过评估比较治疗前后解剖结构和视功能的变化,包括视网膜神经纤维厚度、图形视觉诱发电位、传统视神经功能检查,早期检测乙胺丁醇毒性。方法:前瞻性研究,包括参加马来西亚理科大学医院的短期治疗观察项目的36例72眼结核病患者。视力和视神经功能检查由同一位研究者进行。同样,Humphrey自动视野检查、光学相干断层扫描(OCT)检查视网膜神经纤维厚度(RNFL)和图形视觉诱发电位(PVEP)均由同一位技术人员进行。在开始乙胺丁醇治疗前和治疗3mo后各进行检查一次。结果:乙胺丁醇治疗前后视力、彩色视觉、光亮度、红光反射和眼底检查无明显改变。然而,平均视野缺损在治疗后较前变差(P=0.010)。OCT和PVEP有显著变化,P100潜伏期延长、幅度降低,RNFL在各个象限均增厚(P<0.05)。结论:通过OCT检测RNFL厚度以及使用PVEP检测P100波峰潜伏期和幅度,可以在传统视神经功能检查异常之前,发现乙胺丁醇治疗后早期解剖结构和视功能的亚临床改变。Jessica Mani Penny Tevaraj Tan Chai Keong Evelyn Tai Li Min Muhammed Julieana Raja Azmi Mohd Noor Wan-Hazabbah Wan Hitam 2017国际眼科杂志2017,17,11:2
