| 1 | Precise orbit determination of Beidou Satellites with precise positioning显示文摘Chinese Beidou satellite navigation system constellation currently consists of eight Beidou satellites and can provide preliminary service of navigation and positioning in the Asia-Pacific Region.Based on the self-developed software Position And Navigation Data Analysis(PANDA) and Beidou Experimental Tracking Stations (BETS),which are built by Wuhan University,the study of Beidou precise orbit determination,static precise point positioning (PPP),and high precision relative positioning,and differential positioning are carried out comprehensively.Results show that the radial precision of the Beidou satellite orbit determination is better than 10 centimeters.The RMS of static PPP can reach several centimeters to even millimeters for baseline relative positioning.The precision of kinematic pseudo-range differential positioning and RTK mode positioning are 2-4 m and 5-10 cm respectively,which are close to the level of GPS precise positioning.Research in this paper verifies that,with support of ground reference station network,Beidou satellite navigation system can provide precise positioning from several decimeters to meters in the wide area and several centimeters in the regional area.These promising results would be helpful for the implementation and applications of Beidou satellite navigation system. | SHI Chuang ZHAO QiLe LI Min TANG WeiMing HU ZhiGang LOU YiDong ZHANG HongPing NIU XiaoJi LIU JingNan | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7: | 61 |

| 4 | Contemporary crustal deformation of the Chinese continent and tectonic block model显示文摘We obtain the preliminary result of crustal deformation velocity field for the Chinese con-tinent by analyzing GPS data from the Crustal Motion Observation Network of China (CMONOC), particularly the data from the regional networks of CMONOC observed in 1999 and 2001. We de-lineate 9 tectonically active blocks and 2 broadly distributed deformation zones out of a denseGPS velocity field, and derive block motion Euler poles for the blocks and their relative motionrates. Our result reveals that there are 3 categories of deformation patterns in the Chinese conti-nent. The first category, associated with the interior of the Tibetan Plateau and the Tianshan oro-genic belt, shows broadly distributed deformation within the regions. The third category, associatedwith the Tarim Basin and the region east of the north-south seismic belt of China, shows block-likemotion, with deformation accommodated along the block boundaries only. The second category, mainly associated with the borderland of the Tibetan Plateau, such as the Qaidam, Qilian, Xining(in eastern Qinghai), and the Diamond-shaped (in western Sichuan and Yunnan) blocks, has thedeformation pattern between the first and the third, i.e. these regions appear to deform block-like,but with smaller sizes and less strength for the blocks. Based on the analysis of the lithosphericstructures and the deformation patterns of the regions above, we come to the inference that thedeformation modes of the Chinese continental crust are mainly controlled by the crustal structure.The crust of the eastern China and the Tarim Basin is mechanically strong, and its deformationtakes the form of relative motion between rigid blocks. On the other hand, the northward indentation of the Indian plate into the Asia continent has created the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the Tianshan Mountains, thickened their crust, and raised the temperature in the crust. The lower crust thus has become ductile, evidenced in low seismic velocity and high electric conductivity observed. The brittle part of the crust, driven by the visco-plastic flow of the lower crust, deforms extensively at all scales. The regions of the second category located at the borderland of the Tibetan Plateau are at the transition zone between the regions of the first and the third categories in terms of the crustal structure. | 5 | Daclatasvir plus asunaprevir in treatment-na?ve patients with hepatitis C virus genotype 1b infection显示文摘AIM To assess daclatasvir plus asunaprevir(d UAL) in treatment-na?ve patients from China's Mainland, Russia and South Korea with hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype 1 b infection. METHODS Patients were randomly assigned(3:1) to receive 24 wk of treatment with d UAL(daclatasvir 60 mg once daily and asunaprevir 100 mg twice daily) beginning on day 1 of the treatment period(immediate treatment arm) or following 12 wk of matching placebo(placebodeferred treatment arm). The primary endpoint was a comparison of sustained virologic response at posttreatment week 12(SVR12) compared with the historical SVR rate for peg-interferon plus ribavirin(70%) among patients in the immediate treatment arm. The first 12 wk of the study were blinded. Safety was assessed in d UAL-treated patients compared with placebo patients during the first 12 wk(doubleblind phase), and during 24 wk of d UAL in both arms combined.RESULTS In total, 207 patients were randomly assigned to immediate(n = 155) or placebo-deferred(n = 52) treatment. Most patients were Asian(86%), female(59%) and aged < 65 years(90%). Among them, 13% had cirrhosis, 32% had IL28 B non-CC genotypes and 53% had baseline HCV RNA levels of ≥ 6 million IU/m L. Among patients in the immediate treatment arm, SVR12 was achieved by 92%(95% confidence interval: 87.2-96.0), which was significantly higher than the historical comparator rate(70%). SVR12 was largely unaffected by cirrhosis(89%), age ≥ 65 years(92%), male sex(90%), baseline HCV RNA ≥ 6 million(89%) or IL28 B non-CC genotypes(96%), although SVR12 was higher among patients without(96%) than among those with(53%) baseline NS5 A resistanceassociated polymorphisms(at L31 or Y93 H). during the double-blind phase, aminotransferase elevations were more common among placebo recipients than among patients receiving d UAL. during 24 wk of d UAL therapy(combined arms), the most common adverse events(≥ 10%) were elevated alanine aminotransferase and upper respiratory tract infection; emergent grade 3-4 laboratory abnormalities were infrequently observed, and all grade 3-4 aminotransferase abnormalities(alanine aminotransferase, n = 9; aspartate transaminase, n = 6) reversed within 8-11 d. Two patients discontinued d UAL treatment; one due to aminotransferase elevations, nausea, and jaundice and the other due to a fatal adverse event unrelated to treatment. The abdominal cavity extracted macrophages were pretreated with PBS, Boxb, TLR4 inhibitor(CLI-095), Dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) separately before A. fumigatus hyphae stimulation. HMGB1 was detected in normal and infected mice corneas and macrophages by real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR), the TLR4, My D88, interleukin-1β(IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) were detected by Western blot and PCR.RESULTS: In BALB/c mice corneas, the expressions of TLR4, HMGB1, IL-1β, TNF-α were increased after A. fumigatus infection. While pretreatment with Boxb significantly increased the expressions of TLR4, HMGB1, My D88, IL-1β, TNF-α compared with PBS control after infection. In BALB/c mice abdominal cavity extracted macrophages, pretreatment with Boxb increased the expressions of TLR4, HMGB1, My D88, IL-1β, TNF-α, while pretreatment with CLI-095 and Boxb significantly decreased the expressions of TLR4, HMGB1, My D88, IL-1β, TNF-α. | 12 | Efficacy of capecitabine-based combination therapy and singleagent capecitabine maintenance therapy in patients with metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to observe the efficacy and toxicities of capecitabine-based chemotherapy and capecitabine monotherapy as maintenance therapy in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer(MBC).Patients and methods: A total of 98 MBC patients were treated with capecitabine combined with vinorelbine(NX). Results: The median number of treatment was 6 cycles(1-7 cycles). There were two cases of complete remission(CR), 58 partial remission, 27 stable disease(SD), 11 progression disease. The overall response rate(ORR)(CR + PR) was 61.2%. The clinical benefit rate(CBR) was 75.5%. Fifty of effective patients received with capecitabine monotherapy as maintenance therapy. The ORR(CR + PR) was 4%. The CBR was 48%. The median progression-free survival(PFS) was 12 months. In maintenance therapy or not, the median post metastasis survival rate(MSR) was 63 and 28 months, respectively. | 15 | The vernalization-induced long non-coding RNA VAS functions with the transcription factor TaRF2b to promote TaVRN1 expression for flowering in hexaploid wheat显示文摘Vernalization is a physiological process in which prolonged cold exposure establishes flowering competence in winter plants. In hexaploid wheat, TaVRN1 is a cold-induced key regulator that accelerates floral transition. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the gradual activation of TaVRN1 during the vernalization process remains unknown. In this study, we identified the novel transcript VAS (TaVRN1 alternative splicing) as a non-coding RNA derived from the sense strand of the TaVRN1 gene only in winter wheat, which regulates TaVRN1 transcription for flowering. VAS was induced during the early period of vernalization, and its overexpression promoted TaVRN1 expression to accelerate flowering in winter wheat. VAS physically associates with TaRF2b and facilitates docking of the TaRF2b-TaRF2a complex at the TaVRN1 promoter during the middle period of vernalization. TaRF2b recognizes the Sp1 motif within the TaVRN1 proximal promoter region, which is gradually exposed along with the disruption of a loop structure at the TaVRN1 locus during vernalization, to activate the transcription of TaVRN1. The tarf2b mutants exhibited delayed flowering, whereas transgenic wheat lines overexpressing TaRF2b showed earlier flowering. | 20 | MHC polymorphism and disease-resistance to Edwardsiella tarda in six turbot(Scophthalmus maximus) families显示文摘This study examined genetic variation in the major histocompatibility complex(MHC) Class II B gene in turbot(Scophthalmus maximus) by virulent bacterial pathogen challenge.One hundred fry from each of six families were infected with Edwardsiella tarda by intraperitoneal injection.Family mortality ranged from 28.0% to 83.3%.Complete exon 2 and intron 1 sequences of MHC Class II B genes were amplified from five survivor and five non-survivor individuals per family using the clone-sequence method.Thirty-seven sequences from 60 individuals revealed 37 different alleles,25 of which were unique to this study.The 25 unique alleles belonged to 16 major allele types.Nine alleles were used to examine the association between alleles and resistance/susceptibility to disease.Five alleles were present in an individual,suggesting a minimum of three loci or copies of the turbot MHC Class II B gene.The rate of non-synonymous substitution(d N) was 2.30 and 1.58 times higher than synonymous substitution(d S) in the peptide-binding regions(PBR) and non-PBR in whole families,respectively,which suggested balancing selection on exon 2 of the MHC Class II B gene in turbot.One allele,Scma-DBB1*02,was significantly more prevalent in survivor stock than in non-survivor stock(P=0.001).Therefore,this allele might be associated with resistance to bacteria.A second allele,Scma-DBB1*10,was significantly more prevalent in non-survivor stock(P=0.021),and is likely associated with susceptibility to bacteria. | DU Min CHEN SongLin LIU YanHong NIU BaoZhen YANG JingFeng ZHANG Bo | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25: | 5 |
