1TRANSPORT OF THE SUSPENDED SEDIMENT IN THE CHANGJIANG ESTUARY显示文摘The Changjiang River is characterized by the enormous volume of runoff and the great amount of sediment load with remarkable seasonal variation. The annual runoff sometimes is respondent to the amount of sediment load, and sometimes not. The amount of monthly sediment load after the month of the maximum runoff is larger than those before the month. The sediment concentration and net quantity of sediment transport in the vicinity of the river mouth varies greatly in time between the ebb and flood, spring and neap, and dry seasons and flood seasons. The three bifurcations also have differences in concentration and net quantity in space. Even in the same bifurcation they have differences in and out of the sand bar. At present, the North Channel is the main passage for water and sediment load emptying into the sea from the Changjiang River. More than 50 percent of the sediments from the river basin are deposited nearby the South Branch entrance and the main depositional area is situated in subaqueous delta off the South Channel. 2Measurement of lumber moisture content based on PCA and GSSVM显示文摘Lumber moisture content(LMC) is the important parameter to judge the dryness of lumber and the quality of wooden products.Nevertheless the data acquired are mostly redundant and incomplete because of the complexity of the course of drying,by interference factors that exist in the dryness environment and by the physical characteristics of the lumber itself.To improve the measuring accuracy and reliability of LMC,the optimal support vector machine(SVM) algorithm was put forward for regression analysis LMC.Environmental factors such as air temperature and relative humidity were considered,the data of which were extracted with the principle component analysis method.The regression and prediction of SVM was optimized based on the grid search(GS) technique.Groups of data were sampled and analyzed,and simulation comparison of forecasting performance shows that the main component data were extracted to speed up the convergence rate of the optimum algorithm.The GS-SVM shows a better performance in solving the LMC measuring and forecasting problem.Jiawei Zhang Wenlong Song Bin Jiang Mingbao Li 2018Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,2:4

9Effect of the ultraviolet/chlorine process on microbial community structure,typical pathogens,and antibiotic resistance genes in reclaimed water显示文摘Urban wastewater contains a wide range of pathogens and antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs),which are a serious concern if reusing treated wastewater.However,few studies have explored the microbial communities in reclaimed water using ultraviolet(UV)/chlorine treatment and assessed the changes of the resistome.This study investigated the occurrence of typical pathogens,ARGs,and bacterial communities in UV/chlorine-treated reclaimed water samples.The numbers of culturable and viable but non-culturable pathogens were effectively reduced to 0 CFU/mL within 1–10 and 10–30 min after UV/chlorine treatment,respectively.Meanwhile,the physicochemical indices of water quality were not affected.UV/chlorine treatment could significantly change the bacterial community structure of reclaimed water,showing a decrease in bacterial abundance and diversity.Chlorine-resistant Acinetobacter and Mycobacterium were the dominant bacterial genera(>50%)after UV/chlorine treatment.Moreover,the number of ARGs and mobile genetic elements(MGEs)decreased with an increase in UV/chlorine exposure.However,eight ARGs and three MGEs were consistently detected in more than three seasons,making these major concerns because of their potential role in the persistence and dissemination of antibiotic resistance.Overall,the results of this study suggest that UV/chlorine treatment can potentially improve the microbiological safety of reclaimed water.And more attention should be paid to the pathogens that are both chlorine-resistant and carry MGEs because of their potential for resistance transmission.Chengsong Ye Yuming Chen Lin Feng Kun Wan Jianguo Li Mingbao Feng Xin Yu 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,8:0
10Measuring moisture content of dead fine fuels based on the fusion of spectrum meteorological data显示文摘Dead fine fuel moisture content(DFFMC)is a key factor affecting the spread of forest fires,which plays an important role in evaluation of forest fire risk.In order to achieve high-precision real-time measurement of DFFMC,this study established a long short-term memory(LSTM)network based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm as a measurement model.A multi-point surface monitoring scheme combining near-infrared measurement method and meteorological measurement method is proposed.The near-infrared spectral information of dead fine fuels and the meteorological factors in the region are processed by data fusion technology to construct a spectral-meteorological data set.The surface fine dead fuel of Mongolian oak(Quercus mongolica Fisch.ex Ledeb.),white birch(Betula platyphylla Suk.),larch(Larix gmelinii(Rupr.)Kuzen.),and Manchurian walnut(Juglans mandshurica Maxim.)in the maoershan experimental forest farm of the Northeast Forestry University were investigated.We used the PSO-LSTM model for moisture content to compare the near-infrared spectroscopy,meteorological,and spectral meteorological fusion methods.The results show that the mean absolute error of the DFFMC of the four stands by spectral meteorological fusion method were 1.1%for Mongolian oak,1.3%for white birch,1.4%for larch,and 1.8%for Manchurian walnut,and these values were lower than those of the near-infrared method and the meteorological method.The spectral meteorological fusion method provides a new way for high-precision measurement of moisture content of fine dead fuel.Bo Peng Jiawei Zhang Jian Xing Jiuqing Liu Mingbao Li 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,5:0
11General strategy for ultrabroadband and wideangle absorbers via multidimensional design of functional motifs显示文摘Developing wide-angle,polarization-independent,and effective electromagnetic absorbers that endow devices with versatile characteristics in solar,terahertz,and microwave regimes is highly desired,yet it is still facing a theoretical challenge.Herein,a general and straightforward strategy is proposed to surmount the impedance mismatching in the ultrabroadband and wide-angle absorber design.A vertical atom sticking on N×N horizontal meta-atoms with conductive film is proposed as the functional motif,exhibiting the strong ohmic dissipation along both vertical and horizontal directions.Assisted by the intelligent optimization strategy,the structure dimension,location,and film distribution are designed to maintain absorbing performance under different incident angles.As a demonstration,an absorber was designed and proved in both simulation and experiment.Significantly,the over 10 d B absorption from 5 to 34 GHz is achieved in the range of 0°to 70°for both TE and TM,and even 3 to 40 GHz from 60°to 70°for the TE wave.Meanwhile,the proposed multidimensional design of functional motifs can be attached with optical transparency function at will.That is to say,our effort provides an effective scheme for expanding matching area and may also be made in optical,infrared,and terahertz regimes.QI YUAN CUILIAN XU JINMING JIANG YONGFENG LI YANG CHENG HE WANG MINGBAO YAN JIAFU WANG HUA MA SHAOBO QU 2022Photonics Research2022,10,9:0
12Leaky cavity modes in metasurfaces:a route to low-loss wideband anomalous dispersion显示文摘Metasurfaces have provided unprecedented degrees of freedom in manipulating electromagnetic waves upon interfaces.In this work,we first explore the condition of wide operating bandwidth in the view of reflective scheme,which indicates the necessity of anomalous dispersion.To this end,the leaky cavity modes(LCMs)in the metaatom are analyzed and can make effective permittivity inversely proportional to frequency.Here we employ the longitudinal Fabry-Perot(F-P)resonances and transverse plasmonic resonances to improve the LCMs efficiency.It is shown that the order of F-P resonance can be customized by the plasmonic modes,that is,the F-P cavity propagation phase should match the phase delay of surface currents excited on the meta-atom.The nth order F-P resonance will multiply the permittivity by a factor of n,allowing larger phase accumulation with increasing frequencies and forming nonlinear phase distribution which can be applied in weak chromatic-aberration focusing design.As a proof-of-concept,we demonstrate a planar weak chromatic-aberration focusing reflector with a thickness ofλ_(0)∕9 at 16.0-21.0 GHz.This work paves a robust way to advanced functional materials with anomalous dispersion and can be extended to higher frequencies such as terahertz,infrared,and optical frequencies.XIAOFENG WANG JIAFU WANG YAJUAN HAN MINGBAO YAN YONGFENG LI TONGHAO LIU HUA MA SHAOBO QU 2023Photonics Research2023,11,6:0
