| 2 | CAS FGOALS-f3-L Model Datasets for CMIP6 Historical Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project Simulation显示文摘The outputs of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System(FGOALS-f3-L) model for the baseline experiment of the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project simulation in the Diagnostic,Evaluation and Characterization of Klima common experiments of phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) are described in this paper. The CAS FGOALS-f3-L model, experiment settings, and outputs are all given. In total,there are three ensemble experiments over the period 1979–2014, which are performed with different initial states. The model outputs contain a total of 37 variables and include the required three-hourly mean, six-hourly transient, daily and monthly mean datasets. The baseline performances of the model are validated at different time scales. The preliminary evaluation suggests that the CAS FGOALS-f3-L model can capture the basic patterns of atmospheric circulation and precipitation well, including the propagation of the Madden–Julian Oscillation, activities of tropical cyclones, and the characterization of extreme precipitation. | 3 | Sulfur-enriched alkaloids from the root of Isatis indigotica显示文摘Five new sulfur-enriched alkaloids isatithioetherins A–E(1–5), and two pairs of scalemic enantiomers(t)-and( à)-isatithiopyrin B(6 a and 6 b) and isoepigoitrin and isogoitrin(7 a and 7 b), along with the known scalemic enantiomers epigoitrin and goitrin(8 a and 8 b), were isolated and characterized from an aqueous extract of the Isatis indigotica roots. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic data analysis, including 2 D NMR and theoretical calculations of electronic circular dichroism(ECD) spectra based on the quantum-mechanical time-dependent density functional theory(TDDFT). Compounds 1–5 represent a novel group of sulfur-enriched alkaloids, biogenetically originating from stereoselective assemblies of epigoitrin-derived units. Isolation and structure characterization of 6 a and 6 b support the postulated biosynthetic pathways for the diastereomers 9 a and 9 b via a rare thio-Diels–Alder reaction. | 6 | Parthenolide increases the sensitivity of gastric cancer cells to chemotherapy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of parthenolide(PTL),a sesquiterpene lactone medicinal compound,on the sensitivity of the gastric cancer cell line SGC7901 and the DPP-and ADR-resistant sublines SGC7901/DDP and SGC7901/ADR to cisplatin[diamminedichloroplatinum(Ⅱ),DDP]and adriamycin(ADR)in vitro.METHODS:SGC7901,SGC7901/DDP,and SGC7901/ADR were treated with various concentrations of PTL alone or in combination with DDP or ADR.The effects on cell proliferation,apoptosis,and expression/activity of several proliferation/apoptosis-related proteins[B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),cyclin D1,nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB),and Caspase-8]and drug transporters(P-glycoprotein and multidrug resistance protein-1)were measured using flow cytometry,Western blotting,and in vitro activity assays.RESULTS:Treatment of SGC7901 cells with PTL inhibited cell growth,increased apoptosis,and sensitized the cells to DPP.Mechanistically,PTL treatment resulted in downregulation of NF-κB activity and Bcl-2 expression,and upregulation of Caspase-8 activity.Similarly,PTL co-treatment of SGC7901/DDP and SGC7901/ADR overcame their resistance to DDP and ADR,respectively,with concomitant inhibition of NF-κB,Bcl-2,Cyclin D1,P-glycoprotein,and multidrug resistance protein-1 expression and/or activity.CONCLUSION:PTL treatment decreases drug resistance in SGC7901,SGC7901/DDP,and SGC7901/ADR cells,as reflected by induction of apoptosis,inhibition of proliferation,downregulation of pro-survival and drug resistance pathways,and upregulation of pro-apoptotic pathways.Our results suggest that co-treatment with PTL may thus complement existing therapies for gastric cancer. | Liu Minghua Yang Ying Liu Dajun Cao Ye Li Yan | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6: | 5 |

| 14 | Distribution Features of the Nanhua-Sinian Rifts and their Significance to Hydrocarbon Accumulation in the Tarim Basin显示文摘On the basis of reprocessing 34 new two-dimensional spliced long sections(20,191 km) in the Tarim Basin, the deep structure features of the Tarim Basin were analyzed through interpreting 30,451 km of two-dimensional seismic data and compiling basic maps. Seismic interpretation and geological analysis conclude that the Nanhua-Sinian strata are a set of rift-depression depositional systems according to their tectonic and depositional features. The rift valley formed in the Nanhua Period, and the transformation became weaker during the late Sinian Period, which eventually turned into depression. From bottom to top, the deposited strata include mafic igneous, tillite, mudstone, and dolomite. Three major depocenters developed inside this basin during the rift stage and are distributed in the eastern Tarim Basin, the Awati area, and the southwestern Tarim Basin. Among them, the rift in the eastern Tarim Basin strikes in the near east-west direction on the plane and coincides with the aeromagnetic anomaly belt. This represents a strong magnetic zone formed by upwelling basic volcanic rock along high, steep normal faults of the Nanhua Period. Controlled by the tectonic background, two types of sedimentary systems were developed in the rift stage and depression stage, showing two types of sequence features in the Sinian depositional stage. The Nanhua System appears as a wedge-shaped formation, with its bottom in unconformable contact with the base. The rifting event has a strong influence on the current tectonic units in the Tarim Basin, and affects the distribution of source rock in the Yuertus Formation and reservoir beds in the Xiaoerbulake Formation in Lower Cambrian, as well as the gypseous cap rock in Middle Cambrian. The distribution features of the rifts have important and realistic significance for determining the direction of oil and gas exploration in the deep strata of the Tarim Basin. | 19 | Improvement of different source function expressions in SWAN model for the Bohai Sea显示文摘The simulating wave nearshore (SWAN) wave model has been widely used in coastal areas, lakes and estuaries. However, we found a poor agreement between modeling results and measurements in analyzing the chosen four typical cases when we used the default parameters of the source function formulas of the SWAN to make wave simulation for the Bohai Sea. Also, it was found that at the same wind process the simulated results of two wind generation expressions (Komen, Janssen) demonstrated a large difference. Further study showed that the proportionality coefficient α in linear growth term of wave growth source function plays an unperceived role in the process of wave development. Based on experiments and analysis, we thought that the coefficient α should change rather than be a constant. Therefore, the coefficient α changing with the variation of friction velocity U_* was introduced into the linear growth term of wave growth source function. Four weather processes were adopted to validate the improvement in the linear growth term. The results from the improved coefficient α agree much better with the measurements than those from the default constant coefficient α. Furthermore, the large differences of results between Komen wind generation expression and Janssen wind generation expression were eliminated. We also experimented with the four weather processes to test the new white-capping mechanisms based on the cumulative steepness method. | 20 | Fully integrated hybrid microwave photonic receiver显示文摘Microwave photonic receivers are a promising candidate in breaking the bandwidth limitation of traditional radio-frequency(RF)receivers.To further balance the performance superiority with the requirements regarding size,weight,and power consumption(SWa P),the implementation of integrated microwave photonic microsystems has been considered an upgrade path.However,up to now,to the best of our knowledge,chip-scale fully integrated microwave photonic receivers have not been reported due to the limitation of material platforms.In this paper,we report a fully integrated hybrid microwave photonic receiver(FIH-MWPR)obtained by comprising the indium phosphide(In P)laser chip and the monolithic silicon-on-insulator(SOI)photonic circuit into the same substrate based on the low-coupling-loss micro-optics method.Benefiting from the integration of all optoelectronic components,the packaged FIH-MWPR exhibits a compact volume of 6 cmand low power consumption of 1.2 W.The FIH-MWPR supports a wide operation bandwidth from 2 to 18 GHz.Furthermore,its RF-link performance to down-convert the RF signals to the intermediate frequency is experimentally characterized by measuring the link gain,the noise figure,and the spurious-free dynamic range metrics across the whole operation frequency band.Moreover,we have utilized it as a de-chirp receiver to process the broadband linear frequencymodulated(LFM)radar echo signals at different frequency bands(S-,C-,X-,and Ku-bands)and successfully demonstrated its high-resolution-ranging capability.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first realization of a chip-scale broadband fully integrated microwave photonic receiver,which is expected to be an important step in demonstrating the feasibility of all-integrated microwave photonic microsystems oriented to miniaturized application scenarios. | JIACHEN LI SIGANG YANG HONGWEI CHEN XINGJUN WANG MINGHUA CHEN WEIWEN ZOU | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,6: | 2 |
