1Dualistic water cycle pattern and its evolution in Haihe River basin显示文摘The Haihe River basin is widely recognized as an area in China which is most severely affected by human activities.The water resources utilization and recycling in the basin is very complex, and the characteristic of the dualistic water cycle is becoming more and more prominent.The ever-growing demand of water for modern industry and domestic life nearly dries up all the natu-ral runoff.Meanwhile, industrial, agricultural and domestic wastewater discharges cause severe deterioration in water quality.Consequently, many of water courses are either dried out or being heavily polluted.Modern water resources management can no longer rely on the 'monitoring-rehabilitation' model which was originally developed based on the natural water cycle.This paper analyzes the critical characteristics, water balance, and evolution of water flux process based on the theory of dualistic water cycle.Referring to the water cycle in the Haihe River basin, a schematic diagram was drawn to describe the dualistic water cycle pattern.Ten different parameters affecting mainly the evolution of water flux in the 'dualistic water cycle' are closely examined using the newly-collected data.As a result, this paper proposes several water management and control strategies to achieve healthy wa-ter status for the Haihe River basin.LIU JiaHong QIN DaYong WANG Hao WANG MingNa YANG ZhiYong 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,16:18
2Modified endoscopic transnasal orbital apex decompression in dysthyroid optic neuropathy显示文摘Background:To describe the surgical technique and assess the clinical efficacy and safety of modified endoscopic transnasal orbital apex decompression in the treatment of dysthyroid optic neuropathy.Methods:In this retrospective research,forty-two subjects(74 orbits)who underwent modified endoscopic transnasal orbital apex decompression for the treatment of dysthyroid optic neuropathy were enrolled.Preoperative and postoperative best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),visual field mean deviation(MD),Hertel exophthalmometry,and new onset diplopia were assessed before and after the intervention.The Wilcoxon test was used for differential analysis.Linear mixed-models’analyses were conducted to assess the potential predictors for BCVA change.Results:Postoperatively,the mean BCVA improved from 0.70±0.62 logMAR to 0.22±0.33 logMAR.BCVA significantly improved in 69 eyes(93%),remained stable in 4 eyes(5%)and deteriorated in 1 eye(1%).MD of visual fields improved from−13.73±9.22 dB to−7.23±7.04 dB.Proptosis decreased from 19.57±3.38mm to 16.35±3.01mm.Preoperative BCVA,MD of visual fields and medical rectus diameter were independent factors associated with improvements in BCVA(P<0.05)by linear mixed-models’analyses.Eighteen patients(42.9%)developed new diplopia postoperatively.Conclusion:Modified endoscopic transnasal orbital apex decompression effectively restores vision in dysthyroid optic neuropathy.Yunhai Tu Mingna Xu Andy D.Kim Michael T.M.Wang Zhaoqi Pan Wencan Wu 2021Eye and Vision2021,8,1:4
3Microstructure induced galvanic corrosion evolution of SAC305 solder alloys in simulated marine atmosphere显示文摘Motivated by the increasing use of Sn-3.0 Ag-0.5 Cu(SAC305)solder in electronics worked in marine atmospheric environment and the uneven distribution of Ag3Sn and Cu6Sn5 intermetallic compounds(IMCs)inβ-Sn matrix,comb-like electrodes have been designed for in-situ EIS measurements to study the microstructure induced galvanic corrosion evolution of SAC305 solder in simulated marine atmosphere with high-temperature and high-humidity.Results indicate that in-situ EIS measurement by comb-like electrodes is an effective method for corrosion evolution behavior study of SAC305 solder.Besides,the galvanic effect between Ag3Sn IMCs andβ-Sn matrix can aggravate the corrosion of both as-received and furnace-cooled SAC305 solder as the exposure time proceeds in spite of the presence of corrosion product layer.Pitting corrosion can be preferentially found on furnace-cooled SAC305 with larger Ag3Sn grain size.Moreover,the generated inner stress during phases transformation process with Sn3O(OH)2Cl2 as an intermediate and the possible hydrogen evolution at local acidified sites are supposed to be responsible for the loose,porous,cracked,and non-adherent corrosion product layer.These findings clearly demonstrate the corrosion acceleration behavior and mechanism of SAC305 solder,and provide potential guidelines on maintenance of microelectronic devices for safe operation and longer in-service duration.Mingna Wang Chuang Qiao Xiaolin Jiang Long Hao Xiahe Liu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,16:4
4Effect of electroacpuncture of Neiguan(PC 6)and Tianquan(PC 2)on skin temperature,blood perfusion,and adrenoceptor response in rats with acute myocardial ischemia显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of acupoints Neiguan(PC 6) and Tianquan(PC 2) on the skin temperature, blood perfusion, and alpha1-and beta2-adrenoreceptor(α1-AR and β2-AR) protein and m RNA level in rats with acute myocardial ischemia.METHODS: Thirty male adult Wistar rats [(230 ±20) g] were randomly assigned into five groups(n = 6 each): a control group, sham operation group, model group, model group treated with EA at low frequency(L-EA, 2 Hz, 1 m A) and model group treated with EA at high frequency(H-EA, 100 Hz, 1 m A). The rat model was prepared by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery. Electroacupuncture was performed at the left Neiguan(PC 6) for 20 min daily for 3 d. After the 3 rd time of the treatment, measurements of skin blood perfusion and temperature in Neiguan(PC 6) and Tianquan(PC 2) in all groups were made by laser speckle contrast imaging and infrared thermal image instrument. Real-time PCR and ELISA were used to measure m RNA level and protein level of α1-AR andβ2-AR in the skin tissues of Neiguan(PC 6) and Tianquan(PC 2), respectively. Serum levels of c Tn T and electrocardiogram were used to identify the state of myocardium.RESULTS: In the group receiving electroacupunture at Neiguan(PC 6), compared with control group,the skin temperature, blood perfusion, and β2-AR m RNA and protein level of model group significantly decreased(P < 0.05), α1-AR m RNA and protein level of model group significantly increased(P < 0.05);compared with model group, the skin temperature,blood perfusion, and β2-AR m RNA and protein level of L-EA significantly increased(P < 0.05), α1-AR m RNA and protein level of L-EA and H-EA significantly decreased(P < 0.05). 5Temperature and NaCl deposition dependent corrosion of SAC305 solder alloy in simulated marine atmosphere显示文摘The stable operation of electronic devices in marine atmospheric environment is affected by the corrosion deterioration of solder joints,and the effects by atmosphere temperature and chloride deposition are critical.In this work,NaCl deposition and temperature dependent corrosion of Pb-free SAC305 solder in simulated marine atmosphere has been investigated.The results indicate that higher NaCl deposition prolongs the surface wetting time and leads to the final thicker saturated electrolyte film for further corrosion.Higher temperature accelerates the evaporation and contributes to the final thinner saturated NaCl electrolyte film.Besides,the corrosion control process varies under the initially covered thicker NaCl electrolyte layer and under the final saturated much thinner NaCl electrolyte film as the evaporation proceeds.Moreover,the ready oxygen availability through the final thinner saturated NaCl electrolyte film facilitates the formation of corrosion product layer mainly of electrochemically stable SnO2,but higher temperature leads to the final corrosion product layer with smaller crystal size and large cracks.The findings clearly demonstrate the effects of NaCl deposition and temperature on corrosion evolution of SAC305 solder joints and are critical to the daily maintenance of electronic devices for longer service life in marine atmosphere.Chuang Qiao Mingna Wang Long Hao Xiahe Liu Xiaolin Jiang Xizhong An Duanyang Li 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16:3
6A global alfalfa diversity panel reveals genomic selection signatures in Chinese varieties and genomic associations with root development显示文摘Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) is an important forage crop worldwide. However, little is known about the effects of breeding status and different geographical populations on alfalfa improvement. Here, we sequenced 220 alfalfa core germplasms and determined that Chinese alfalfa cultivars form an independent group, as evidenced by comparisons of FSTvalues between different subgroups, suggesting that geographical origin plays an important role in group differentiation. By tracing the influence of geographical regions on the genetic diversity of alfalfa varieties in China, we identified 350 common candidate genetic regions and 548 genes under selection. We also defined 165 loci associated with 24 important traits from genome-wide association studies. Of those, 17 genomic regions closely associated with a given phenotype were under selection, with the underlying haplotypes showing significant differences between subgroups of distinct geographical origins. Based on results from expression analysis and association mapping,we propose that 6-phosphogluconolactonase(MsPGL) and a gene encoding a protein with NHL domains(MsNHL) are critical candidate genes for root growth. 7Theories and calculation methods for regional objective ET显示文摘The regional objective ET (Evapotranspiration) is a new concept in water resources research,which refers to the total amount of water that could be exhausted from a region in the form of vapor per year. The objective-ET based water resources management allocates water to different regions in terms of ET. It controls the water exhausted from a region to meet the objective ET. The regional objective ET must be adapted to fit the region’s local available water resources. By improving the water utilization effi-ciency and reducing the unrecoverable water in the social water circle,it is saved so that water related production is maintained or even increased under the same water consumption conditions. Regional water balance is realized by rationally deploying the available water among different industries,adjusting industrial structures,and adopting new water-saving technologies,therefore to meeting the requirements for groundwater conservation,agricultural income stability,and avoiding environmental damages. Furthermore,water competition among various departments and industries (including envi-ronmental and ecological water use) may be avoided. This paper proposes an innovative definition of objective ET,and its principles,sub-index systems. 8Correlation between radiologic features on contrastenhanced CT and pathological tumor grades in pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms显示文摘Contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)contributes to the increasing detection of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms(PNENs).Nevertheless,its value for differentiating pathological tumor grades is not well recognized.In this report,we have conducted a retrospective study on the relationship between the 2017 World Health Organization(WHO)classification and CT imaging features in 94 patients.Most of the investigated features eventually provided statistically significant indicators for discerning PNENs G3 from PNENs G1/G2,including tumor size,shape,margin,heterogeneity,intratumoral blood vessels,vascular invasion,enhancement pattern in both contrast phases,enhancement degree in both phases,tumor-to-pancreas contrast ratio in both phases,common bile duct dilatation,lymph node metastases,and liver metastases.Ill-defined tumor margin was an independent predictor for PNENs G3 with the highest area under the curve(AUC)of 0.906 in the multivariable logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.The portal enhancement ratio(PER)was shown the highest AUC of 0.855 in terms of quantitative features.Our data suggest that the traditional contrastenhanced CT still plays a vital role in differentiation of tumor grades and heterogeneity analysis prior to treatment.Wenbin Xu Han Yan Lulu Xu Mingna Li Wentao Gao Kuirong Jiang Junli Wu Yi Miao 2021The Journal of Biomedical Research2021,35,3:2
9Characterizing the Micropores in Lacustrine Shales of the Late Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation of Southern Songliao Basin, NE China显示文摘Micropores of shale are significant to the gas content and production potential of shale, which has been verified in the research of marine shale gas; while, few studies have been conducted on lacustrine shales. This study collected 42 samples from three wells in the Late Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation of the southern Songliao Basin, NE China, and investigated these samples by the focused ion beam-scanning electron microscope(FIB–SEM) and nitrogen adsorption analysis techniques. Four types of micropores were identified in the samples, i.e., intergranular pore, intracellular pore, organic matter pore and microfracture. The pore structure type is characterized by open slit pores and 'ink type' pores which are mainly 1.5–5 nm in diameter with mesopores as the main pores. The mesopores account for 74.01% of the pore volume and 54.68% of the pore surface area. Compared with the lacustrine shales from the Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin and Xujiahe Formation in the Sichuan Basin, the intergranular clay mineral interlayer pores are considered to be the main reservoir space for shale gas storage in the study area, followed by intraparticle pores, organic matter pores and microfractures. 10Theories and calculation methods for regional objective ET(evapotranspiration):Applications显示文摘The regional objective ET(evapotranspiration) is defined as the quantity of water that could be con-sumed in a particular region.It varies with the water conditions and economic development stages in the region.It is also constrained by the requirement of benign environment cycle.At the same time,it must meet the demands of sustainable economic growth and the construction of harmony society.Objective ET based water resources distribution will replace the conventional method,which empha-sizes the balance between the water demand and the water supply.It puts focus on the reasonable water consumption instead of the forecasted water demand,which is usually greater than the actual one.In this paper,we calculated the objective ET of 2010 year level in Tianjin by an analysis-integra-tion-assessment method.Objective ET can be classified into two parts:controllable ET and uncontrol-lable ET.Controllable ET includes the ET from irrigation land and the ET from resident land,among which the former can be calculated with soil moisture model and evapotranspiration model,while the latter can be calculated by water use ration and water consumption rate.The uncontrollable ET can be calculated with the distributed hydrological model and the remote sensing monitoring model.The two models can be mutually calibrated.In this paper,eight schemes are put forward based on different portfolios of water resources.The objective ET of each scheme was calculated and the results were assessed and analyzed.Finally,an optimal scheme was recommended.LIU JiaHong QIN DaYong WANG MingNa LüJinYan SANG XueFeng ZHANG RuiMei 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:2

15Quantitative trait locus mapping of yield and plant height in autotetraploid alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)显示文摘Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)is the most widely grown forage legume crop worldwide.Yield and plant height are important agronomic traits influenced by genetic and environmental factors.The objective of this study was to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL)and molecular markers associated with alfalfa yield and plant height.To understand the genetic basis of these traits,a full-sib F1 population composed of 392 individuals was developed by crossing a low-yielding precocious alfalfa genotype(male parent)with a high-yielding latematuring alfalfa cultivar(female parent).The linkage maps were constructed with 3818 single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers on 64 linkage groups.QTL for yield and plant height were mapped using phenotypic data for three years.Sixteen QTL associated with yield and plant height were identified on chromosomes 1 to 8.Six QTL explained more than 10%of phenotypic variation,representing major loci controlling yield and plant height.One locus on chromosome 1 controlling yield traits had not been identified in previous studies.Three QTL co-located with other QTL(qyield-1 and qheight-7,qheight-5 and qyield-4,qheight-6,and qyield-6).With further validation,the markers closely linked with these QTL may be used for marker-assisted selection in breeding new alfalfa varieties with high yield.Fei He Ruicai Long Tiejun Zhang Fan Zhang Zhen Wang Xijiang Yang Xueqian Jiang Changfu Yang Xuxin Zhi Mingna Li Longxi Yu Junmei Kang Qingchuan Yang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,5:1

20Genome Assembly of Alfalfa Cultivar Zhongmu-4 and Identification of SNPs Associated with Agronomic Traits显示文摘Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)is the most important legume forage crop worldwide with high nutritional value and yield.For a long time,the breeding of alfalfa was hampered by lacking reliable information on the autotetraploid genome and molecular markers linked to important agronomic traits.We herein reported the de novo assembly of the allele-aware chromosome-level genome of Zhongmu-4,a cultivar widely cultivated in China,and a comprehensive database of genomic variations based on resequencing of 220 germplasms.Approximate 2.74 Gb contigs(N50 of 2.06 Mb),accounting for 88.39%of the estimated genome,were assembled,and 2.56 Gb contigs were anchored to 32 pseudo-chromosomes.A total of 34,922 allelic genes were identified from the allele-aware genome.We observed the expansion of gene families,especially those related to the nitrogen metabolism,and the increase of repetitive elements including transposable elements,which probably resulted in the increase of Zhongmu-4 genome compared with Medicago truncatula.Population structure analysis revealed that the accessions from Asia and South America had relatively lower genetic diversity than those from Europe,suggesting that geography may influence alfalfa genetic divergence during local adaption.Genome-wide association studies identified 101 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)associated with 27 agronomic traits.Two candidate genes were predicted to be correlated with fall dormancy and salt response.We believe that the alleleaware chromosome-level genome sequence of Zhongmu-4 combined with the resequencing data of the diverse alfalfa germplasms will facilitate genetic research and genomics-assisted breeding in variety improvement of alfalfa.Ruicai Long Fan Zhang Zhiwu Zhang Mingna Li Lin Chen Xue Wang Wenwen Liu Tiejun Zhang Long-Xi Yu Fei He Xueqian Jiang Xijiang Yang Changfu Yang Zhen Wang Junmei Kang Qingchuan Yang 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,1:1
