2A new method of spectral decomposition of covariance matrix in mixed effects models and its applications显示文摘For the mixed effects models with balanced data, a new ordering of design matrices of random effects is defined, and then a simple formula of the spectral decomposition of covariance matrix is obtained. To compare with the two methods in literature,the decomposition can not only give the actual number of all distinct eigenvalues and their expression, but also show clearly the relationship between the design matrices of random effects and the decomposition. These results can be applied to the problems for testifying the analysis of the variance estimate being a minimum variance unbiased under all random effects models and some mixed effects models with balanced data, for finding the explicit solution of maximum likelihood equations for the general mixed effects model and for showing the relationship between the spectral decomposition estimate and the analysis of variance estimate.WU Mixia WANG Songgui 2005Science China Mathematics2005,48,11:4

4The ANOVA-Type Inference in Linear Mixed Model with Skew-Normal Error显示文摘Linear mixed effect models with skew-normal errors and distribution-free random effects are considered. The ANOVA-type F-tests are proposed to test the significance of random effects and the hypothesis on fixed effects of interest, respectively. Both tests are proved to be exact F-tests under this model, and the exact confidence interval for fixed effects of interest is derived. 6Recent advances and research progress on microsystems and bioeffects of terahertz neuromodulation显示文摘Terahertz waves can interact with the nervous system of organisms under certain conditions.Compared to common optical modulation methods,terahertz waves have the advantages of low photon energy and low risk;therefore,the use of terahertz waves to regulate the nervous system is a promising new method of neuromodulation.However,most of the research has focused on the use of terahertz technology for biodetection,while relatively little research has been carried out on the biological effects of terahertz radiation on the nervous system,and there are almost no review papers on this topic.In the present article,we begin by reviewing principles and objects of research regarding the biological effects of terahertz radiation and summarizing the current state of related research from a variety of aspects,including the bioeffects of terahertz radiation on neurons in vivo and in vitro,novel regulation and detection methods with terahertz radiation devices and neural microelectrode arrays,and theoretical simulations of neural information encoding and decoding.In addition,we discuss the main problems and their possible causes and give some recommendations on possible future breakthroughs.This paper will provide insight and assistance to researchers in the fields of neuroscience,terahertz technology and biomedicine.Meiting Liu Juntao Liu Wei Liang Botao Lu Penghui Fan Yilin Song Mixia Wang Yirong Wu Xinxia Cai 2023Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,6:0
