| 1 | Molecular determination and genotyping of Cryptosporidium spp.in fecal and respiratory samples of industrial poultry in Iran显示文摘Objective:To identify the genotypes of prevalent Cryptosporidia in broiler chickens in Lorestan province,Iran.Methods:A total of 1 000 fecal and 1 000 trachea samples were collected from chickens.Smears from both fecal and tracheal samples were stained with modified ZiehlNeelsen method and nested PCR-RFTP according to amplification of 18S rRNA gene using Ssp1 and Vsp 1 restriction enzymes and DNA sequencing.Results:From the examined chickens0.7%was positive for Cryptosporidium,Infection was present in 0.3%fecal samples and also in0.5%trachea.Only 0.3%of simultaneous infections in fecal and tracheal samples were observed.Nested PCR of our isolates demonstrated Cryptosporidium baileyi.Conclusions:In our work,low rate of Cryptosporidium baileyi infection was detected,but in critical situations and our poor management circumstances,cryptosporidiosis occurs in serious feature especially in immune suppressed individuals. | Hossein Hamidinejat Mohammad Hossein Razi Jalali Ramezan Ali Jafari Kiomars Nourmohammadi | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2014,7,7: | 1 |

| 3 | A survey of incidental ocular trauma by pencil and pen显示文摘AIM:To determine characteristic features of ocular trauma resulted from self-trauma by writing instruments among pediatric population.METHODS:Thirty-six children who suffered from selfinflicted ocular trauma with a writing instrument were included in this prospective cross-sectional study.RESULTS:The mean age was 5.6±2.7y with male:female ratio of 1.77.The right eye was involved two times more than the left eye.The superomedial(55.5%)and inferomedial(30.6%)quadrants were the most common sites of injury.The leading culprit was colored pencils(44.4%).During surgical exploration,no foreign body(FB)was found in 25(69.4%)patients while an FB was found in 11(30.5%)patients.Brain injury was present in two patients(5.6%)and only in superomedial quadrant injuries.Zone 1 was the most common site for ocular trauma associated with penetrating injury.The mean ocular trauma score(OTS)in penetrating injuries was 3.8±1.2.The best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)was 0.3±0.6 upon admittance and 0.08±0.21 after one year.The final BCVA was significantly correlated with the entrance site,better final BCVA was found in nasal entrance site(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The ophthalmologists should keep a high index of suspicion to rule out penetrating eye injuries related to writing instruments in a young uncooperative child.Brain injury is a life-threatening event that should be ruled out by appropriate imaging.Medial canthal area as the most common site needs an especial attention in writing instrument injuries. | Seyed Ali Tabatabaei Mohammad Soleimani Morteza Naderan Aliasghar Ahmadraji Mohammad Bagher Rajabi Hajar Jafari Mona Safizade | 2018 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2018,11,10: | 1 |

| 10 | Improving the Sound Absorption Properties of Flexible Polyurethane (PU) Foam using Nanofibers and Nanoparticles显示文摘Polyurethane foam as the most well-known absorbent materials has a suitable absorption coefficient only within a limited frequency range.The aim of this study was to improve the sound absorption coefficient of flexible polyurethane(PU)foam within the range of various frequencies using clay nanoparticles,polyacrylonitrile nanofibers,and polyvinylidene fluoride nanofibers.The response surface method was used to determine the effect of addition of nanofibers of PAN and PVDF,addition of clay nanoparticles,absorbent thickness,and air gap on the sound absorption coefficient of flexible polyurethane foam(PU)across different frequency ranges.The absorption coefficient of the samples was measured using Impedance Tubes device.Nano clay at low thicknesses as well as polyacrylonitrile nanofibers and polyvinyl fluoride nanofibers at higher thicknesses had a greater positive effect on absorption coefficient.The mean sound absorption coefficient in the composite with the highest absorption coefficient at middle and high frequencies was 0.798 and 0.75,respectively.In comparison with pure polyurethane foam with the same thickness and air gap,these values were 2.22 times at the middle frequencies and 1.47 times at high frequencies,respectively.Surface porosity rose with increasing nano clay,but decreased with increasing polyacrylonitrile nanofibers and polyvinyl fluoride nanofibers.The results indicated that the absorption coefficient was elevated with increasing the thickness and air gap.This study suggests that the use of a combination of nanoparticles and nanofibers can enhance the acoustic properties of flexible polyurethane foam. | Roohalah Hajizadeh Ali Khavanin Mohammad Barmar Ahmad Jonidi Jafari Somayeh Farhang Dehghan | 2019 | Sound & Vibration2019,53,5: | 1 |
| 11 | Improving the Cellular Characteristics of Aluminum Foam for Maximum Sound Absorption Coefficient Using Genetic Algorithm显示文摘Fabricating of metal foams with desired morphological parameters including pore size,porosity and pore opening is possible now using sintering technology.Thus,if it is possible to determine the morphology of metal foam to absorb sound at a given frequency,and then fabricate it through sintering,it is expected to have optimized metal foams for the best sound absorption.Theoretical sound absorption models such as Lu model describe the relationship between morphological parameters and the sound absorption coefficient.In this study,the Lu model was used to optimize the morphological parameters of aluminum metal foam for the best sound absorption coefficient.For this purpose,the Lu model was numerically solved using written codes in MATLAB software.After validating the proposed codes with benchmark data,the genetic algorithm(GA)was applied to optimize the affecting morphological parameters on the sound absorption coefficient.The optimization was carried out for the thicknesses of 5 mm to 40 mm at the sound frequency range of 250 Hz–8000 Hz.The optimized parameters ranged from 50%to 95%for porosity,0.1 mm to 4.5 mm for pore size,and 0.07 mm to 0.6 mm for pore opening size.The result of this study was applied to fabricate the desired aluminum metal foams for the best sound absorption.The novel approach applied in this study,is expected to be successfully applied in for best sound absorption in desired frequencies. | Mohammad Javad Jafari Mohsen Niknam Sharak Ali Khavanin Touraj Ebadzadeh Mahmood Fazlali Rohollah Fallah Madvari | 2021 | Sound & Vibration2021,55,2: | 0 |
| 12 | Scleractinian coral communities of Hormuz Island in the PersianGulf显示文摘The abundance and health of scleractinian coral communities of Hormuz Island were investigated.For this purpose,we employed 20 m line intercept transects—12 in the intertidal zone and 15 subtidally to evaluate coral cover and community composition.The estimated dead coral coverage was 6.21%±0.81%,while live coral coverage was 16.93%±1.81%,considered as very poor.Totally,12 genera were recorded,of which Porites with 11.9%±1.4%live cover was the dominant,while Goniopora had the least cover(0.07%±0.08%).Based on Mann-Whitney U-test,live coral coverage,dead coral coverage,algal coverage,cover of other benthic organisms and abiotic components showed significant univariate differences between zones(p<0.05).The Spearman correlation test between the abundance of biotic and abiotic components indicated significant negative correlation of live coral and sand with zoantharian and significant positive correlation of algae and other benthic organisms with rubble.The reef health indices used for the corals indicated that,in general,the environmental conditions were not suitable,which could be attributed to both natural and anthropogenic factors,the most important of which was zoantharian’overgrowth on the scleractinian corals in this region. | Yamin Pouryousef Jafar Seyfabadi Hamid Rezai Alireza Mahvari Mohammad Ali Jafari | 2022 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,12: | 0 |
