1Effect of Firing Temperature on the Electromagnetic Properties of Electronic Transformer Cores Developed by Using Nanosized Mn–Zn Ferrite Powders显示文摘Current investigation deals with the effect of grain growth process as a function of sintering temperature on the electromagnetic properties(initial permeability, impedance, and gain) of Mn–Zn ferrite(MZF) cores(toroids). By employing auto combustion process, nanosized [(20 ± 5) nm] MZF powders were synthesized and toroid shape cores were obtained after subsequent calcination and firing(sintering) process. It was observed that the submicron structure(0.5 lm)achieved in the ferrite core sintered at 1,000 °C was gradually transformed into micron size grains by increasing the firing temperature i.e., 1,100, 1,200, and 1,350 °C. The results reveal that MZF core sintered at low temperature(1,000 °C)showed high impedance, low initial permeability, and narrow working frequency range i.e., 3–15 MHz. However, the improvement in initial permeability, sintered density, and operational frequency range(100 k Hz–17 MHz) was observed at high temperature(1,350 °C) firing in the inert environment. 2Trends in species distribution modelling in context of rare and endemic plants:a systematic review显示文摘Background:Many research papers have utilized Species Distribution Models to estimate a species’current and future geographic distribution and environmental niche.This study aims to(a)understand critical features of SDMs used to model endemic and rare species and(b)to identify possible constraints with the collected data.The present systematic review examined how SDMs are used on endemic and rare plant species to identify optimal practices for future research.Results:The evaluated literature(79 articles)was published between January 2010 and December 2020.The number of papers grew considerably over time.The studies were primarily conducted in Asia(41%),Europe(24%),and Africa(2%).The bulk of the research evaluated(38%)focused on theoretical ecology,climate change impacts(19%),and conservation policy and planning(22%).Most of the papers were published in publications devoted to biodiversity conservation,ecological or multidisciplinary fields.The degree of uncertainty was not disclosed in most studies(81%).Conclusion:This systematic review provides a broad overview of the emerging trends and gaps in the SDMs research.The majority of studies failed to present uncertainties and error estimates.However,when model performance estimates are given,the model results will be highly effective,allowing for more assurance in the predictions they make.Furthermore,based on our systematic review,we recommend that in the future rare and endemic SDMs should represent uncertainty levels and estimates of errors in the modelling process.Ammad Waheed Qazi Zafeer Saqib Muhammad Zaman‑ul‑Haq 2022Ecological Processes2022,11,1:1
3Detection of SARS-CoV-2 Eta VOI among international travelers using COVIDSeq-NGS显示文摘Rationale:SARS-CoV-2 has been identified as a highly infective and contagious viral infection.The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has been spread worldwide and affected more than 210 countries.Globally,the fast spread of novel SARS-CoV-2 variants has been mostly attributed to international travel.Patient concerns:We are reporting the genomic evidence of SARSCoV-2 Eta VOI among two international travelers.Both travelers were males from Nigeria aged 24 and 34 years and both were asymptomatic.Diagnosis:The nasopharyngeal swab samples were in both travelers positive by real-time RT-PCR followed by COVIDSeq-NGS.Interventions:Paracetamol 3 times daily for 5 days.Outcomes:Patient recovered completely within 10 days and discharged after 14 days of quarantine duration.Lessons:This report highlights genomic variation of SARSCoV-2 among the travelers.For managing the present health crisis,molecular identification of viral variants present in different geographical locations will be very helpful.Mati Ur Rehman Rooh Ullah Narmeen Arshad Muhammad Ammad Qurat Ul Ain Anam Razzak Muhammad Yousaf Shabana Perween Syed Sajjad Naqvi Tarique N.Hasan 2022Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2022,15,11:0
