Compensation trends of the angulation of first molars:retrospective study of 1403 malocclusion cases显示文摘We investigated the compensatory trends of mesiodistal angulation of first molars in malocclusion cases. We compared differences in the angulation of first molars in different developmental stages, malocclusion classifications and skeletal patterns. The medical records and lateral cephalogrammes of 1 403 malocclusion cases taken before treatment were measured to evaluate compensation of molar angulation in relation to the skeletal jaw. The cases were stratified by age, Angle classification and skeletal patterns. Differences in the mesiodistal angulation of the first molars were compared among the stratifications. We observed three main phenomena. First, angulation of the upper first molar varied significantly with age and tipped most distally in cases aged,12 years and least distally in cases aged.16 years. The lower first molar did not show such differences. Second, in Angle Class II or skeletal Class II cases, the upper first molar was the most distally tipped, the lower first molar was the most mesially tipped, and opposite angulation compensation was observed in Class III cases. Third, in high-angle cases, the upper and lower first molars were the most distally tipped, and opposite angulation compensation was observed in low-angle cases. These data suggest that the angulation of the molars compensated for various growth patterns and malocclusion types. Hence, awareness of molar angulation compensation would help to adjust occlusal relationships, control anchorage and increase the chances of long-term stability. | Hong Su Bing Han Sa Li Bin Na Wen Ma Tian-Min Xu | 2014 | International Journal of Oral Science2014,6,3: | 22
Ion Channel Genes and Epilepsy:Functional Alteration,Pathogenic Potential, and Mechanism of Epilepsy显示文摘Ion channels are crucial in the generation and modulation of excitability in the nervous system and have been implicated in human epilepsy. Forty-one epilepsyassociated ion channel genes and their mutations are systematically reviewed. In this paper, we analyzed the genotypes, functional alterations(funotypes), and phenotypes of these mutations. Eleven genes featured loss-offunction mutations and six had gain-of-function mutations.Nine genes displayed diversified funotypes, among which a distinct funotype-phenotype correlation was found in SCN1A. These data suggest that the funotype is an essential consideration in evaluating the pathogenicity of mutations and a distinct funotype or funotype-phenotype correlation helps to define the pathogenic potential of a gene. | Feng Wei Li-Min Yan Tao Su Na He Zhi-Jian Lin Jie Wang Yi-Wu Shi Yong-Hong Yi Wei-Ping Liao | 2017 | Neuroscience Bulletin2017,33,4: | 21
Reinfection rate and endoscopic changes after successful eradication of Helicobacter pylori显示文摘AIM:To determine the long-term outcomes regarding reinfection with Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)and endoscopic changes after successful H.pylori eradication. METHODS:From June 1994 to January 2007,186 patients(M:F=98:88;mean age 50.0±11.4 years), in whom H.pylori had been successfully eradicated, were enrolled. The mean duration of follow up was 41.2±24.0 mo. RESULTS:H.pylori reinfection occurred in 58 patients (31.2%).The average annual reinfection rate was 9.1% per patient year.No recurrence of peptic ulcer was detected at the follow up endoscopy. There were no significant differences between the H.pylori eradication regimens for the reinfection rate and no significant differences in endoscopic findings between the H.pylorirecurred group and the H.pylori-cured group.CONCLUSION:The reinfection rate in Korea is 9.1% which represents a decreasing trend. There was no relationship between H.pylori infection status and changes in endoscopic findings. There was also no recurrence or aggravation of ulcers. | Kum Hei Ryu Sun Young Yi Youn Ju Na Su Jung Baik Su Jin Yoon Hae-Sun Jung Hyun Joo Song | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,2: | 14
Application of ultrasound in aggressive angiomyxoma: Eight case reports and review of literature显示文摘Aggressive angiomyxoma(AAM) is a rare tumour that often occurs in soft tissues of the female genital tract. Eight cases of AAM are reported in this article, and the clinical features and ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) results of the eight cases are reviewed and summarized. The main complaints of all the patients were palpable and painless masses in the vulva or scrotum. The lesions were mainly located in the vulva, pelvis, and perineal region, with a large scope of involvement. The sonographic features of AAM were characteristic. On sonography, all of the masses were of irregular shape and showed hypoechogenicity, with a heterogeneous inner echotexture. Intratumoural and peritumoural blood flows were detected by colour Doppler imaging. On real-time ultrasonic imaging, prominent deformation of the lesions was observed by compressing the masses with the probe. Some special imaging features were also revealed, including a laminated or swirled appearance of inner echogenicity, and a finger-like or tongue-like growth pattern. On MRI imaging, the lesions showed intermediate-intensity signals and intermediate to high-intensity signals on TI-weighted and T2-weighted sequences. A rapid and uneven enhancement pattern was demonstrated. After the comparison of sonographic features with MRIand pathological findings, we found the relevance of the ultrasonographic characteristics with MRI and histological features of AAM. Ultrasound can be a valuable imaging method for the preoperative diagnosis, evaluation of scope, and follow-up of AAM. | Chen-Yang Zhao Na Su Yu-Xin Jiang Meng Yang | 2018 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2018,6,14: | 13

A Geometric Understanding of Deep Learning显示文摘This work introduces an optimal transportation(OT)view of generative adversarial networks(GANs).Natural datasets have intrinsic patterns, which can be summarized as the manifold distribution principle:the distribution of a class of data is close to a low-dimensional manifold.GANs mainly accomplish two tasks:manifold learning and probability distribution transformation. The latter can be carried out using the classical OT method. From the OT perspective, the generator computes the OT map, while the discriminator computes the Wasserstein distance between the generated data distribution and the real data distribution;both can be reduced to a convex geometric optimization process.Furthermore,OT theory discovers the intrinsic collaborative-instead of competitive-relation between the generator and the discriminator, and the fundamental reason for mode collapse. We also propose a novel generative model, which uses an autoencoder(AE)for manifold learning and OT map for probability distribution transformation. This AE–OT model improves the theoretical rigor and transparency,as well as the computational stability and efficiency;in particular,it eliminates the mode collapse. The experimental results validate our hypothesis, and demonstrate the advantages of our proposed model. | Na Lei Dongsheng An Yang Guo Kehua Su Shixia Liu Zhongxuan Luo Shing-Tung Yau Xianfeng Gu | 2020 | Engineering2020,6,3: | 10
Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis of reinitiation into methamphetamine abusers: qualitative findings from an exploration of methamphetamine abusers in Shanghai, China显示文摘Background Despite high relapse rate among methamphetamine (MA) abusers, there still have been little empirical data to date detecting the risk factors related to craving and relapse from the perspective of MA abusers. Therefore, the aim of this study was to use qualitative research methods exploring the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat factors that could facilitate or impede individuals' abstinence in a real-life context from the perspectives of MA abusers. Aim To use qualitative research methods exploring the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat factors relating to individuals' abstinence in a real-life context. Method Semistructured interviews were conducted with 32 MA abusers recruited in Shanghai guided by open-ended questions on narrating the real-life catalysts and inhibitors related to craving, initiation, relapse and abstinence. All data were transcribed verbatim and analysed using a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis. Results The results of the SWOT analysis revealed that contextual factors including peer influence, prevalence and availability of MA, familiar venue of MA use, discrimination, sexual behaviours, alcohol, emotional states and their attitudes towards smoking MA were important factors that contribute to reinitiation and relapse. Surveillance systems, antidrug social workers, vocational skills trainings, moving to another city and family responsibility might serve as counter measures targeti叩 those mentioned weaknesses and threats above. Conclusion This SWOT analysis highlights the complex nature of relapse. Comprehensive interventions strengtheni叩 coping skills such as virtual reality techniques are desperately needed to facilitate individuals1 sustained abstinence. | Youwei Zhu Na Zhong Hang Su Xiaolu Ruan Jiayi Bao Lei Zhang Jiang Du Ding Xu Rongjie Ding Ke Xiao Min Zhao | 2019 | General Psychiatry2019,32,3: | 9
Biomarkers enhance the long-term predictive ability of the KAMIR risk score in Chinese patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction显示文摘Background:The Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) score is recommended by current ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) guidelines. But it has inherent defects. The present study aimed to investigate the more compatible risk stratification for Chinese patients with STEMI and to determine whether the addition of biomarkers to the Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry (KAMIR) score could enhance its predictive value for long-term outcomes. Methods:A total of 1093 consecutive STEMI patients were included and followed up 48.2 months.Homocysteine, hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) were detected. The KAMIR score and the GRACE score were calculated. The performance between the KAMIR and the GRACE was compared. The predictive power of the KAMIR alone and combined with biomarkers were assessed by the receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results:The KAMIR demonstrated a better risk stratification and predictive ability than the GRACE (death:AUC = 0.802 vs.0.721,P<0.001;major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE):AUC = 0.683 vs.0.656,P<0.001).It showed that the biomarkers could independently predict death [homocysteine:HR= 1.019 (1.015–1.024),P<0.001;hs-CRP:HR= 1.052 (1.000–1.104),P= 0.018;NT-pro BNP:HR= 1.142 (1.004–1.280),P= 0.021] and MACE [homocysteine:HR= 1.019 (1.015–1.024),P<0.001;hs-CRP:HR= 1.012 (1.003–1.021),P= 0.020;NT-pro BNP:HR= 1.136 (1.104–1.168),P= 0.006].When they were used in combination with the KAMIR,the area under the ROC curve (AUC) significantly increased for death [homocysteine:AUC = 0.802 vs.0.890,Z = 5.982,P<0.001;hs-CRP:AUC = 0.802 vs.0.873,Z= 3.721,P<0.001;NT-pro BNP:AUC= 0.802 vs.0.871,Z = 2.187,P= 0.047;homocysteine,hs-CRP and NT-pro BNP:AUC = 0.802 vs.0.940,Z = 6.177,P<0.001] and MACE [homocysteine:AUC = 0.683 vs.0.771,Z= 6.818,P<0.001;hs-CRP:AUC= 0.683 vs.0.712,Z= 2.022,P= 0.031;NT-pro BNP:AUC= 0.683 vs.0.720,Z= 2.974,P= 0.003;homocysteine,hs-CRP and NT-pro BNP:AUC= 0.683 vs.0.789,Z= 6.900,P<0.001].Conclusion:The KAMIR is better than the GRACE in risk stratification and prognosis prediction in Chinese STEMI patients.A combination of above-mentioned biomarkers can develop a more predominant prediction for long-term outcomes. | Jian-Jun Wang Yan Fan Yan Zhu Jian-Dong Zhang Su-Mei Zhang Zhao-Fei Wan Hong-Ling Su Na Jiang | 2019 | Chinese Medical Journal2019,,1: | 9
Dynamic analysis of C/C composite finger seal显示文摘A seal device as an important component of aeroengines has decisive influence on performance, reliability, and working life of aeroengines. With the development of aeroengines, demands on the performance characteristics of seal devices are made strictly. Finger seal as a novel kind of sealing device, recently attracts more and more attentions in academic circles and engineering fields at home and abroad. Research on finger seals has been extensively developed, especially on leakage and wear performances under dynamic conditions. However, it is a pity that the work on finger seals has been limited with a single approach that is improving the performance by structural optimization; in addition, the technology of dynamic analysis on finger seals is weak. Aiming at the problems mentioned above, a distributed mass equivalent dynamic model of finger seals considering the coupling effect of overlaid laminates is established in the present paper, the dynamic performance of 2.5 dimension C/C composite finger seal is analyzed with the model, and then the effects of fiber bundle density and fiber bundle preparation direction on finger seal's dynamic performance are discussed, as well as compared with those of Co-based alloy finger seal. The current work is about dynamic analysis of finger seals and application of C/C composite in this paper may have much academic significance and many engineering values for improving research level of finger seal dynamics and exploring feasibility of C/C composite being used for finger seals. | Chen Guoding Wang Li’na Yu Qiangpeng Su Hua | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2014,27,3: | 8
Relationship between Maternal PBMC HBV cccDNA and HBV Serological Markers and its Effect on HBV Intrauterine Transmission显示文摘Objective To investigate the relationship between maternal peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) hepatitis B virus(HBV) covalenty closed circular deoxyribonucleic acid(cccDNA) and other HBV serological markers and its effects on HBV intrauterine transmission. Methods We enrolled 290 newborns and their hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg) positive mothers. HBV cccDNA in PBMC and HBV DNA in serum were detected by a real‐time PCR‐TaqM an probe while HBV serological markers were detected with an electrochemiluminescence immunoassay. Results There was a positive correlation between the levels of PBMC HBV cccD NA and serum HBV DNA and HBeA g(r = 0.436 and 0.403, P < 0.001). The detection rate of pattern A [‘HBsA g(+), HBeA g(+), and anti‐HBc(+)’] was significantly higher in the PBMC HBV cccD NA positive group than in the control group(χ^2 = 48.48, P < 0.001). There was a significant association between HBV intrauterine transmission and PBMC HBV cccD NA(χ^2 = 9.28, P = 0.002). In the presence of serum HBV DNA, HBeA g, and PBMC HBV cccD NA, the risk of HBV intrauterine transmission was three times higher(OR = 3.69, 95% CI: 1.30‐10.42) than that observed in their absence. The risk of HBV intrauterine transmission was the greatest(OR = 5.89, 95% CI: 2.35‐14.72) when both PBMC HBV cccD NA and pattern A were present. A Bayesian network model showed that maternal PBMC HBV cccD NA was directly related to HBV intrauterine transmission. Conclusion PBMC HBV cccDNA may be a direct risk factor for HBV intrauterine transmission. Our study suggests that serological markers could be combined with PBMC‐related markers in prenatal testing. | WANG Dan Dan YI Lin Zhu WU Li Na YANG Zhi Qing HAO Hai Yun SHI Xiao Hong WANG Bo FENG Shu Ying FENG Yong Liang WANG Su Ping | 2019 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2019,32,5: | 8

Evaluation of germ-cell kinetics in infertile patients with proliferating cell nuclear antigen proliferating index显示文摘To explore the usefulness of proliferating cell nuclear antigen proliferating index (PCNA PI) in the pathological diagnosis and treatment of male infertility. Methods: Testicular biopsy specimen obtained from 48 cases of male infertility and 2 normal controls were fixed and embedded. The sections were stained with anti-PCNA monoclonal antibodies or haematoxylin/eosin. Proliferating index (PI), expressed as the percentage of germ-cell nuclei positively stained with PCNA antibody, was assessed from more than 20 seminiferous tubules or 600 germ-cells. Results: The infertile patients were divided into 4 groups: Group 1, normal spermatogenesis ( 14 cases); Group 2, hypospermatogenesis (16 cases); Group 3, germinal arrest (10 cases); Group 4, Sertoli cell only syndrome (8 cases). The PCNA PI of normal control testis was 86.5% (mean value). Group 3 had a significantly lower PCNA PI (29.8%) than normal testis; Group 1 and 2 had similar Pis (82.3% and 82.3%, respectively) as the control testis. PI of the negative control (Group 4) was 0 as no germ-cells were found. Conclusion: PCNA PI is useful for assessing germ-cell kinetics, especially for pathological diagnosis of germinal arrest which is difficult to differentiate by routine HE staining technique. In germinal arrest, there is a significantly lowered PCNA PI, which is an indication of DNA synthesis deterioration, suggesting the use of therapies be different from those for hypospermatogenesis. | Li ZENG, Xiang-Tian KONG, Jin-Wei SU, Tong-Li XIA Yan-Qun NA Ying-Lu GUO Institute of Urology,Peking University, Beijing 100034, China | 2001 | Asian Journal of Andrology2001,3,1: | 7

Acellular ostrich corneal stroma used as scaffold for construction of tissue-engineered cornea显示文摘AIM:To assess acellular ostrich corneal matrix used as a scaffold to reconstruct a damaged cornea.· METHODS:A hypertonic saline solution combined with a digestion method was used to decellularize the ostrich cornea. The microstructure of the acellular corneal matrix was observed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) staining. The mechanical properties were detected by a rheometer and a tension machine. The acellular corneal matrix was also transplanted into a rabbit cornea and cytokeratin 3 was used to check the immune phenotype.·RESULTS:The microstructure and mechanical properties of the ostrich cornea were well preserved after the decellularization process. In vitro, the methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium results revealed that extracts of the acellular ostrich corneas(AOCs) had no inhibitory effects on the proliferation of the corneal epithelial or endothelial cells or on the keratocytes. The rabbit lamellar keratoplasty showed that the transplanted AOCs were transparent and completely incorporated into the host cornea while corneal turbidity and graft dissolution occurred in the acellular porcine cornea(APC) transplantation. The phenotype of the reconstructed cornea was similar to a normal rabbit cornea with a high expression of cytokeratin 3 in the superficial epithelial cell layer.· CONCLUSION:We first used AOCs as scaffolds to reconstruct damaged corneas.Compared with porcine corneas, the anatomical structures of ostrich corneas are closer to those of human corneas. In accordance with the principle that structure determines function,a xenograft lamellar keratoplasty also confirmed that the AOC transplantation generated a superior outcome compared to that of the APC graft. | Xian-Ning Liu Xiu-Ping Zhu Jie Wu Zheng-Jie Wu Yong Yin Xiang-HuaXiao Xin Su Bin Kong Shi-Yin Pan Hua Yang Yan Cheng Na An Sheng-Li Mi | 2016 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2016,9,3: | 6
The association between the genetic polymorphisms of LMP2/LMP7 and the outcomes of HCV infection among drug users显示文摘Objective:To investigate a possible association of LMP2/LMP7 genes with chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection, and to assess whether LMP2/LMP7 genes could influence the outcomes of HCV infection among drug users. Methods:Genomic DNAs of 362 anti-HCV sero-positive drug users and 225 control drug users were extracted from the peripheral blood leukocytes. The sero-positive patients were divided into those who had persistent infection and those who had spontaneously cleared the infection.Polymorphisms of LMP genes were determined by PCR combined with restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP).Results:The distribution of LMP2 genotypes among the control, persistent infection and spontaneous clearance groups were not different. However, the LMP7 codon 145 Gln/Lys,Lys/Lys,and Gln/Lys+Lys/Lys genotypes were found significantly more frequent in the persistent infection group than in control group(OR=1.75,95%CI=1.06~2.90;OR=3.16,95%CI=1.23-8.12;OR=1.94,95%CI=1.21-3.12,respectively).Similarly,the frequencies of the codon 145 Gln/Lys,Lys/Lys,and Gln/Lys+Lys/Lys genotypes were found significantly more frequent in the persistent infection group than in the spontaneous clearance group(OR=1.64,95%CI=1.04-2.57;OR=2.40,95%CI=1.09-5.28;OR=1.76,95%CI=1.152.69,respectively).Stratified analysis indicated that combined genotype Gln/Lys+Lys/Lys of the LMP7 gene was related to an increasing susceptibility to HCV infection(OR=1.91,95%CI=1.02-3.55;OR=2.19,95%CI=1.243.89;OR=1.91,95%CI=1.05-3.48,OR=2.86,95%CI=1.41-5.78,respectively)and the risk of persistent HCV infection(OR=1.94,95%CI=1.12-3.34;OR=2.02,95%CI=1.21-3.38;OR=1.78,95%CI=1.12-2.85,OR=2.23,95%CI=1.09-4.58,respectively)among>30-year-old,males,the injection drug user(IDU)subjects and/or the shorter duration drug users(≤5 y).Conclusion:These results suggest that polymorphism of the LMP7 gene may have an influence on the outcomes of HCV infection, and is one of the factors accounting for the genetic susceptibility to HCV infection among drug users. | Qian Cui Yongxiang Zhang Jing Su Chao Shi Na Lei Keqin Ding Jun Li Rongbin Yu L u Wang Ning Wang | 2010 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5: | 6
Dynamic performance of a C/C composite finger seal in a tilting mode显示文摘The complex operating state of aeroengines has an impact on the performance of finger seals. However, little work has been focused on the issue and the dynamic performance of finger seals is also rarely studied. Therefore, a distributed mass equivalent model considering working conditions is proposed in this paper for solving the existing problems. The effects of the fiber bundle density and the preparation direction of the fiber bundle of a C/C composite on the dynamic performance of a finger seal are investigated in rotor tilt based on the proposed model. The difference between the C/C composite finger seal performances under the rotor precession and nutation tilt cases is also investigated. The results show that the fiber bundle density and the preparation direction of the fiber bundle have an influence on the dynamic performance of the finger seal as rotor tilt is considered, and the dynamic performance of the finger seal is different in the two kinds of tilting modes. In addition, a novel method for design of finger seals is presented based on the contact pressure between finger boots and the rotor. Finger seals with good leakage rates and low wear can be acquired in this method. | Hailin ZHAO Guoding CHEN Li'na WANG Hua SU Fei LU | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,4: | 6

Temporal pattern of resolution/recurrence of choroidal neovascularization during bevacizumab therapy for wet age-related macular degeneration显示文摘AIM:To characterize temporal pattern of resolution and recurrence of naive choroidal neovascularization(CNV) secondary to wet age-related macular degeneration(AMD) treated with intravitreal bevacizumab on as needed regimen, and to analyze baseline risk factors for CNV resolution or recurrence.METHODS:Ninety-one eyes of 80 patients with newly diagnosed wet AMD were retrospectively studied. All eyes were treated with a round of three monthly intravitreal bevacizumab injections, followed by one additional 'bonus' injection after resolution of CNV activity.During follow-up,eyes were monitored with fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography, and best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA).In case of recurrences of CNV activity, eyes were retreated with other rounds of bevacizumab injections following the same treatment protocol.RESULTS:Over a median follow-up of 532d,the median resolution time of CNV activity in the first, second, and third treatment round was 98d,126d,and 111d,respectively.The median recurrence time for the three rounds was 154d,126d,and 151d,respectively.No significant difference in resolution time(P=0.09) or in recurrence time(P=0.11) was detected among treatment rounds.Age(P=0.0082) and lens status(P=0.035) were found to be associated with CNV resolution;for every 1-year increase in age there was 4% greater chance of CNV resolution;Phakic eyes demonstrated a 33% better chance to experience CNV resolution than pseudophakic eyes. For CNV recurrence, lens status(P=0.0009) and gender(P=0.0446) were found to be predictive;pseudophakic eyes had a 3.69-fold greater risk to experience recurrence of CNV activity compared to phakic eyes;males had a 2.19-fold greater risk to experience recurrence of CNV activity than females. No significant BCVA changes among three treatment rounds were noted(P=0.56).CONCLUSION:Resolution time and recurrence time of CNV activity were not significantly different among treatment rounds, suggesting absence of tachyphylaxis to bevacizumab.A cautious decision should be made upon discontinuing treatment in wet AMD eyes of younger or pseudophakic patients, which showed slower response to bevacizumab. In addition, wet AMD eyes of male or pseudophakic patients should be evaluated more carefully after stopping the treatment, because they may have early reactivation of the CNV.BCVA was preserved by bevacizumab treatment despite multiple recurrences. | Haiyan Wang Giulio Barteselli William R.Freeman Su Na Lee Jay Chhablani Sharif El-Emam Lingyun Cheng | 2013 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,5: | 5
Cancer metabolism and tumor microenvironment:fostering each other?显示文摘The changes associated with malignancy are not only in cancer cells but also in environment in which cancer cells live.Metabolic reprogramming supports tumor cells’high demand of biogenesis for their rapid proliferation, and helps tumor cells to survive under certain genetic or environmental stresses.Emerging evidence suggests that metabolic alteration is ultimately and tightly associated with genetic changes,in particular the dysregulation of key oncogenic and tumor suppressive signaling pathways.Cancer cells activate HIF signaling even in the presence of oxygen and in the absence of growth factor stimulation. This cancer metabolic phenotype, described firstly by German physiologist Otto Warburg, ensures enhanced glycolytic metabolism for the biosynthesis of macromolecules. The conception of metabolite signaling,i.e.,metabolites are regulators of cell signaling, provides novel insights into how reactive oxygen species(ROS)and other metabolites deregulation may regulate redox homeostasis, epigenetics, and proliferation of cancer cells. Moreover, the unveiling of noncanonical functions of metabolic enzymes, such as the moonlighting functions of phosphoglycerate kinase 1(PGK1),reassures the importance of metabolism in cancer development. The metabolic, microRNAs,and ncRNAs alterations in cancer cells can be sorted and delivered either to intercellular matrix or to cancer adjacent cells to shape cancer microenvironment via media such as exosome.Among them, cancer microenvironmental cells are immune cells which exert profound effects on cancer cells.Understanding of all these processes is a prerequisite for the development of a more effective strategy to contain cancers. | Yiyuan Yuan Huimin Li Wang Pu Leilei Chen Dong Guo Hongfei Jiang Bo He Siyuan Qin Kui Wang Na Li Jingwei Feng Jing Wen Shipeng Cheng Yaguang Zhang Weiwei Yang Dan Ye Zhimin Lu Canhua Huang Jun Mei Hua-Feng Zhang Ping Gao Peng Jiang Shicheng Su Bing Sun Shi-Min Zhao | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,2: | 5
