1Hollow Micro-/Nanostructure Reviving Lithium-sulfur Batteries显示文摘Higb-energy-density lhiumslu(Li-S)bttries are drawing dramatic research interests to fulill the ever-increasing demands of etrical vehicles.However,chllenges with the insulating poperty of sulfur and its lihistion products aund its large volume expansion,aund the sutle eflet of lthiumn polysulides,hinder the commer-cial application of Li-S butteries.Lots of material design concepts have bocn developed to address the failure modes.Among them,bollw micro-/anostructures with abundant compositional und geometrical feasibility have been prored fuitful in adresing the cureut obstacles of LiS bttries Here,lypical examples of designing hollw mi-co-/anostructures to address the problemns of Li-S bttries and sinultuneously improve the practical capacity and lifespan are highlightedl.In purticular,the great efeet of structural engineering on minimizing volume change,inhi-biting the shutle efiet and catalyzing plysulide conversion are disussed systeatically. 3Crystal phase-controlled growth of PtCu and PtCo alloys on 4H Au nanoribbons for electrocatalytic ethanol oxidation reaction显示文摘Crystal phase can greatly affect the physicochemical properties and applications of nanomaterials.However,it stil remains a great challenge to synthesize nanostructures with the same composition and morphology but different phases in order to explore the phase-dependent properties and applications.Herein,we report the crystal phase-controlled synthesis of PtCu alloy shells on 4H Au nanoribbons(NRBs),referred to as 4H-Au NRBs,to form the 4H-Au@PtCu core-shell NRBs.By tuning the thickness of PtCu,4H-PtCu and face-centered cubic(cc)phase PICu(cc-PtCu)alloy shells are successtully grown on the 4H-Au NRB cores.This thickness-dependent phase-controlled growth strategy can also be used to grow PtCo alloys with 4H or fcc phase on 4H-Au NRBs.Significantly,when used as electrocatalysts for the ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR)in alkaline media,the 4H-Au@4H-PtCu NRBs show much better EOR performance than the 4H-Au@fcc-PtCu NRBs,and both of them possess superior performance compared to the commercial Pt black.Our study provides a strategy on phase-contolled synthesis of nanomaterials used for crystal phase-dependent applications.Jie Wang Jian Zhang Guigao Liu Chongyi Ling Bo Chen Jingtao Huang Xiaozhi Liu Bing Li An-Liang Wang Zhaoning Hu Ming Zhou Ye Chen Hongfei Cheng Jiawei Liu Zhanxi Fan Nailiang Yang Chaoliang Tan Lin Gu Jinlan Wang Hua Zhang 2020Nano Research2020,13,7:2
4Model-free Demand Response Scheduling Strategy for Virtual Power Plants Considering Risk Attitude of Consumers显示文摘Driven by modern advanced information and communication technologies,distributed energy resources have great potential for energy supply within the framework of the virtual power plant(VPP).Meanwhile,demand response(DR)is becoming increasingly important for enhancing the VPP operation and mitigating the risks associated with the fluctuation of renewable energy resources(RESs).In this paper,we propose an incentivebased DR program for the VPP to minimize the deviation penalty from participating in the power market.The Markov decision process(MDP)with unknown transition probability is constructed from the VPP’s prospective to formulate an incentivebased DR program,in which the randomness of consumer behavior and RES generation are taken into consideration.Furthermore,a value function of prospect theory(PT)is developed to characterize consumer’s risk attitude and describe the psychological factors.A model-free deep reinforcement learning(DRL)-based approach is proposed to deal with the randomness existing in the model and adaptively determine the optimal DR pricing strategy for the VPP,without requiring any system model information.Finally,the results of cases tested demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Yi Kuang Xiuli Wang Hongyang Zhao Tao Qian Nailiang Li Jianxue Wang Xifan Wang 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,2:2
5Efficient sequential harvesting of solar light by heterogeneous hollow shells with hierarchical pores显示文摘In nature,sequential harvesting of light widely exists in the old life entity,i.e.cyanobacteria,to maximize the light absorption and enhance the photosynthesis efficiency.Inspired by nature,we propose a brand new concept of temporally-spatially sequential harvesting of light in one single particle,which has purpose-designed heterogeneous hollow multi-shelled structures(HoMSs)with porous shells composed of nanoparticle subunits.Structurally,HoMSs consist of different band-gap materials outside-in,thus realizing the efficient harvesting of light with different wavelengths.Moreover,introducing oxygen vacancies into each nanoparticle subunit can also enhance the light absorption.With the benefit of sequential harvesting of light in HoMSs,the quantum efficiency at wavelength of 400 nm is enhanced by six times compared with the corresponding nanoparticles.Impressively,using these aforementioned materials as photocatalysts;highly efficient photocatalytic water splitting is realized,which cannot be achieved by using the nanoparticle counterparts.This new concept of temporally-spatially sequential harvesting of solar light paves the way for solving the ever-growing energy demand.Yanze Wei Jiawei Wan Nailiang Yang Yu Yang Yanwen Ma Songcan Wang Jiangyan Wang Ranbo Yu Lin Gu Lianhui Wang Lianzhou Wang Wei Huang Dan Wang 2020National Science Review2020,7,11:2

9Fabrication and Application of Graphdiyne-based Heterogeneous Compositions:from the View of Interaction显示文摘Graphdiyne(GDY)has the unique feature in the topological ordered arranged sp-and sp^(2)-hybridized carbon atoms,thus deriving a series of 2D allotropes.Due to inhomogeneousπ-bonding and carbon orbital overlap between different hybrid carbon atoms,GDY possesses a natural band gap with a Dirac cones structure.And GDY exhibits semiconductor property with a conductivity of 2.516×10^(−4) S/m at room temperature.The topological distribution of alkyne and benzene bonds of GDY makes its surface charge distribution extremely uneven,which produces high intrinsic activity for further modification.Its unique molecular structure endows the specific interaction with various species,such as ions,atoms,molecules and nanoparticles,showing excellent charge transport capability and unique advantages in mass transfer and energy conversion.From the view of the interaction principle between GDY and different compositions,we summarized the application of GDY-based materials in the fields of catalysis,energy conversion and storage,biological detection and so on.QI Qi XU Lekai DU Jiang YANG Nailiang WANG Dan 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,6:1

11Molecule functionalization to facilitate electrocatalytic oxygen reduction on graphdiyne显示文摘Chemical doping is verified to be a promising strategy to regulate local electron distribution and further promote the poor intrinsic catalytic activity of graphdiyne.However,the current doping approach still faces problems such as precise doping for creating active sites and the destruction of graphdiyne skeleton calling for high temperature.Here,we achieved charge redistribution on graphdiyne surface through molecule functionalization.A p-type molecule–F4 TCNQ(2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodime thane)was introduced and the site-defined functionalization was accomplished.Theoretical calculations showed that the charge transfer ability is improved and graphdiyne becomes positively charged.The oxygen reduction electrocatalysis was conducted as a proof of principle,where the electronic states of sp hybridized C active site was tuned toward favorable reaction intermediates’adsorption.Such work from both theoretical prediction and experimental validation,found that molecule functionalization is effective to promote the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction,which creates new possibilities for graphdiyne’s applications in different electrochemical reactions.Huiying Yao Yasong Zhao Nailiang Yang Wei Hao Hu Zhao Shuzhou Li Jia Zhu Lin Shen Weihai Fang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:1

17Hollow structures as drug carriers:Recognition,response,and release显示文摘Hollow structures have demonstrated great potential in drug delivery owing to their privileged structure,such as high surface-to-volume ratio,low density,large cavities,and hierarchical pores.In this review,we provide a comprehensive overview of hollow structured materials applied in targeting recognition,smart response,and drug release,and we have addressed the possible chemical factors and reactions in these three processes.The advantages of hollow nanostructures are summarized as follows:hollow cavity contributes to large loading capacity;a tailored structure helps controllable drug release;variable compounds adapt to flexible application;surface modification facilitates smart responsive release.Especially,because the multiple physical barriers and chemical interactions can be induced by multishells,hollow multishelled structure is considered as a promising material with unique loading and releasing properties.Finally,we conclude this review with some perspectives on the future research and development of the hollow structures as drug carriers.Decai Zhao Nailiang Yang Lekai Xu Jiang Du Yang Yang Dan Wang 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

20Aging amorphous/crystalline heterophase PdCu nanosheets for catalytic reactions显示文摘Phase engineering is arising as an attractive strategy to tune the properties and functionalities of nanomaterials.In particular,amorphous/crystalline heterophase nanostructures have exhibited some intriguing properties.Herein,the one-pot wet-chemical synthesis of two types of amorphous/crystalline heterophase Pd Cu nanosheets is reported,in which one is amorphous phase-dominant and the other one is crystalline phase-dominant.Then the aging process of the synthesized Pd Cu nanosheets is studied,during which their crystallinity increases,accompanied by changes in some physicochemical properties.As a proof-of-concept application,their aging effect on catalytic hydrogenation of 4-nitrostyrene is investigated.As a result,the amorphous phase-dominant nanosheets initially show excellent chemoselectivity.After aging for 14 days,their catalytic activity is higher than that of crystalline phase-dominant nanosheets.This work demonstrates the intriguing properties of heterophase nanostructures,providing a new platform for future studies on the regulation of functionalities and applications of nanomaterials by phase engineering.Hongfei Cheng Nailiang Yang Xiaozhi Liu Qinbai Yun Min Hao Goh Bo Chen Xiaoying Qi Qipeng Lu Xiaoping Chen Wen Liu Lin Gu Hua Zhang 2019National Science Review2019,6,5:0
