| 1 | Combined obeticholic acid and apoptosis inhibitor treatment alleviates liver fibrosis显示文摘Obeticholic acid(OCA), the first FXR-targeting drug, has been claimed effective in the therapy of liver fibrosis. However, recent clinical trials indicated that OCA might not be effective against liver fibrosis, possibly due to the lower dosage to reduce the incidence of the side-effect of pruritus. Here we propose a combinatory therapeutic strategy of OCA and apoptosis inhibitor for combating against liver fibrosis. CCl4-injured mice, D-galactosamine/LPS(GalN/LPS)-treated mice and cycloheximide/TNFα(CHX/TNFα)-treated HepG2 cells were employed to assess the effects of OCA, or together with IDN-6556, an apoptosis inhibitor. OCA treatment significantly inhibited hepatic stellate cell(HSC)activation/proliferation and prevented fibrosis. Elevated bile acid(BA) levels and hepatocyte apoptosis triggered the activation and proliferation of HSCs. OCA treatment reduced BA levels but could not inhibit hepatocellular apoptosis. An enhanced anti-fibrotic effect was observed when OCA was co-administrated with IDN-6556. Our study demonstrated that OCA inhibits HSCs activation/proliferation partially by regulating BA homeostasis and thereby inhibiting activation of HSCs. | 5 | Vancomycin pretreatment attenuates acetaminophen-induced liver injury through 2-hydroxybutyric acid显示文摘Liver injury caused by acetaminophen(AP)overdose is a leading public health problem.Although APinduced liver injury is well recognized as the formation of N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone(NAPQI),a toxic metabolite of AP,resulting in cell damage,emerging evidence indicates that AP-induced liver injury is also associated with gut microbiota.However,the gut microbiota-involved mechanism remains largely unknown.In our study,we found that vancomycin(Vac)pretreatment(100 mg/kg,twice a day for 4 days)attenuated AP-induced liver injury,altered the composition of gut microbiota,and changed serum metabolic profile.Moreover,we identified Vac pretreatment elevated cecum and serum 2-hydroxybutyric acid(2-HB),which ameliorated AP-induced cell damage and liver injury in mice by reducing AP bioavailability and elevating GSH levels.Our current results revealed the novel role of 2-HB in protecting AP-induced liver injury and add new evidence for gut microbiota in affecting AP toxicity. | Ningning Zheng Yu Gu Ying Hong Lili Sheng Linlin Chen Feng Zhang Jie Hou Weidong Zhang Zean Zhang Wei Jia Houkai Li | 2020 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,6: | 1 |

| 8 | Mass transfer techniques for large-scaleand high-density microLED arrays显示文摘Inorganic-based micro light-emitting diodes (microLEDs) offer more fascinating properties and unique demands in next-generation displays. However, the small size of the microLED chip (1–100 µm) makes it extremely challenging for high efficiency and low cost to accurately, selectively, integrate millions of microLED chips. Recent impressive technological advances have overcome the drawbacks of traditional pick-and-place techniques when they were utilized in the assembly of microLED display, including the most broadly recognized laser lift-off technique, contact micro-transfer printing (µTP) technique, laser non-contact µTP technique, and self-assembly technique. Herein, we firstly review the key developments in mass transfer technique and highlight their potential value, covering both the state-of-the-art devices and requirements for mass transfer in the assembly of the ultra-large-area display and virtual reality glasses. We begin with the significant challenges and the brief history of mass transfer technique, and expand that mass transfer technique is composed of two major techniques, namely, the epitaxial Lift-off technique and the pick-and-place technique. The basic concept and transfer effects for each representative epitaxial Lift-off and pick-and-place technique in mass transfer are then overviewed separately. | 17 | Evidence of aircraft activity impact on local air quality: A study in the context of uncommon airport operation显示文摘Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH) was suspended to contain the spread of COVID-19,while Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) saw a tremendousflight reduction.Closure of a major international airport is extremely rare and thus represents a unique opportunity to straightforwardly observe the impact of airport emissions on local air quality.In this study,a series of statistical tools were applied to analyze the variations in air pollutant levels in the vicinity of WUH and SHA.The results of bivariate polar plots show that airport SHA and WUH are a major source of nitrogen oxides.NOx,NO_(2)and NO diminished by 55.8%,44.1%,76.9%,and 40.4%,33.3% and 59.4% during the COVID-19 lockdown compared to those in the same period of 2018 and 2019,under a reduction in aircraft activities by 58.6%and61.4%.The concentration of NO_(2),SO_(2)and PM_(2.5)decreased by 77.3%,8.2%,29.5%,right after the closure of airport WUH on 23 January 2020.The average concentrations of NO,NO_(2)and NOxscatter plots at downwind of SHA after the lockdown were 78.0%,47.9%,57.4%and 62.3%,34.8%,41.8%lower than those during the same period in 2018 and 2019.However,a significant increase in O_(3)levels by 50.0% and 25.9%at WUH and SHA was observed,respectively.These results evidently show decreased nitrogen oxides concentrations in the airport vicinity due to reduced aircraft activities,while amplified O_(3)pollution due to a lower titration by NO under strong reduction in NOxemissions. | Hao Xu Kai Xiao Jun Pan Qingyan Fu Xiaodong Wei Junrui Zhou Yamei Yu Xue Hu Huarui Ren Jinping Cheng Shitao Peng Ningning Hong Yin Ye Ning Su Zehui He Tao Hu | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3: | 0 |

| 19 | Laser projection proximity transfer for deterministic assembly of microchip arrays at scale显示文摘Deterministic assembly techniques that enable programmatic and massively parallel integration of chips are essential for the development of novel electronic systems such as micro LED displays.However,large-area integration of ultrathin micro-chips with high yield and transfer accuracy remains a great challenge due to the difficulties in selective transfer,adhesion switchability,and transfer deviation.Here,a“laser projection proximity transfer(Laser PPT)”technique is presented for the deterministic assembly of microchip arrays at scale.One of the remarkable features is that the transfer status between the chip and the receiver substrate evolves from the original non-contact mode to contact mode for high-precision transfer,which overcomes the strict requirements of the flatness of stamp and substrate in contact-style transfer,and flight deviation of microchip array in noncontact-style transfer.Another feature is the rapid modulation of interfacial adhesion for reliable transfer via the use of thermally expandable microspheres to form microstructures and combining with a laser-induced blister.The adhesion regulation range is over 20 times without any damage to chip arrays.The results show that the transfer accuracy has been improved substantially with a minimum relative error of~0.5%.Combined with a laser beam projection system,demonstrations of Laser PPT for selective assembly of fragile objects onto challenging non-adhesive/cured surfaces in batch illustrate its potential in the highprecision integration of microscale chips at scale. | HU JinLong CHEN FuRong BIAN Jing SUN NingNing WANG KaiXin LING Hong YU HaiYang GAI MengXin XU LiZhi HUANG YongAn | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,9: | 0 |
