| 6 | LncRNA DACH1 protects against pulmonary fibrosis by binding to SRSF1 to suppress CTNNB1 accumulation显示文摘Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF)is a progressive disease with unknown etiology and limited therapeutic options.Activation of fibroblasts is a prominent feature of pulmonary fibrosis.Here we report that lncRNA DACH1(dachshund homolog 1)is downregulated in the lungs of IPF patients and in an experimental mouse model of lung fibrosis.LncDACH1 knockout mice develop spontaneous pulmonary fibrosis,whereas overexpression of LncDACH1 attenuated TGF-β1-induced aberrant activation,collagen deposition and differentiation of mouse lung fibroblasts.Similarly,forced expression of LncDACH1 not only prevented bleomycin(BLM)-induced lung fibrosis,but also reversed established lung fibrosis in a BLM model.Mechanistically,LncDACH1 binding to the serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 1(SRSF1)protein decreases its activity and inhibits the accumulation of Ctnnb1.Enhanced expression of SRSF1 blocked the anti-fibrotic effect of LncDACH1 in lung fibroblasts.Furthermore,loss of LncDACH1 promoted proliferation,differentiation,and extracellular matrix(ECM)deposition in mouse lung fibroblasts,whereas such effects were abolished by silencing of Ctnnb1.In addition,a conserved fragment of LncDACH1 alleviated hyperproliferation,ECM deposition and differentiation of MRC-5 cells driven by TGF-β1.Collectively,LncDACH1 inhibits lung fibrosis by interacting with SRSF1 to suppress CTNNB1 accumulation,suggesting that LncDACH1 might be a potential therapeutic target for pulmonary fibrosis. | Jian Sun Tongzhu Jin Zhihui Niu Jiayu Guo Yingying Guo Ruoxuan Yang Qianqian Wang Huiying Gao Yuhan Zhang Tianyu Li Wenxin He Zhixin Li Wenchao Ma Wei Su Liangliang Li Xingxing Fan Hongli Shan Haihai Liang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9: | 1 |

| 11 | A Selective‑Response Hypersensitive Bio‑Inspired Strain Sensor Enabled by Hysteresis Effect and Parallel Through‑Slits Structures显示文摘Flexible strain sensors are promising in sensing minuscule mechanical signals,and thereby widely used in various advanced fields.However,the effective integration of hypersensitivity and highly selective response into one flexible strain sensor remains a huge challenge.Herein,inspired by the hysteresis strategy of the scorpion slit receptor,a bio-inspired flexible strain sensor(BFSS)with parallel through-slit arrays is designed and fabricated.Specifically,BFSS consists of conductive monolayer graphene and viscoelastic styrene–isoprene–styrene block copolymer.Under the synergistic effect of the bio-inspired slit structures and flexible viscoelastic materials,BFSS can achieve both hypersensitivity and highly selective frequency response.Remarkably,the BFSS exhibits a high gage factor of 657.36,and a precise identification of vibration frequencies at a resolution of 0.2 Hz through undergoing different morphological changes to high-frequency vibration and low-frequency vibration.Moreover,the BFSS possesses a wide frequency detection range(103 Hz)and stable durability(1000 cycles).It can sense and recognize vibration signals with different characteristics,including the frequency,amplitude,and waveform.This work,which turns the hysteresis effect into a'treasure,'can provide new design ideas for sensors for potential applications including human–computer interaction and health monitoring of mechanical equipment. | Qun Wang Zhongwen Yao Changchao Zhang Honglie Song Hanliang Ding Bo Li Shichao Niu Xinguan Huang Chuanhai Chen Zhiwu Han Luquan Ren | 2024 | Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,2: | 0 |

A key problem of reassembly is how to measure the similarity between the fragments. Most of the measurements are based on the local similarity of the images. We analyze the impact of similarity patterns on the judgment of the adjacency of the fragments and conclude that the horizontal similarity has little help.According to this conclusion, we improve the median edge detector by replacing the horizontal similarity with the left and right diagonal similarity. Furthermore, we improve the sum of differences and Euclidean distance by replacing the mean/sum used in the two measurements with the median. | 18 | Pyrophosphate-Mediated On-Off-On Oxidase-Like Activity Switching of Nanosized MnFe_(2)O_(4) for Alkaline Phosphatase Sensing显示文摘Developing reliable and facile approaches for alkaline phosphatase(ALP)sensing is important due to its role as a clinical biomarker for many diseases.In this study,we proposed a new and convenient colorimetric assay based on the pyrophosphate(PPi)-mediated oxidase-mimicking activity switching of nanosized MnFe_(2)O_(4) for the detection of ALP.The synthesized MnFe_(2)O_(4) exhibited high oxidase-like activity to catalyze the oxidation of colorless 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)to its blue product TMBox in the presence of dissolved O2,leading to a color reaction rapidly and remarkably;PPi could significantly inhibit the activity of the MnFe_(2)O_(4) nanozyme via the strong interaction between PPi and the Fe(III)species in MnFe_(2)O_(4),resulting in the suppression of the TMB color reaction;when ALP was added,it hydrolyzed the PPi substrate to phosphate(Pi)that had no obvious effect on the MnFe_(2)O_(4) activity,and such that the TMB color reaction catalyzed by the nanozyme could be observed again.With the above principle,linear colorimetric determination of ALP in the scope of 0.6-55 U L−1 was achieved,giving the limit of detection down to 0.27 U L−1.Besides,the developed assay could provide selective response toward ALP against other co-existing biological species.Furthermore,reliable detection of ALP in human serum samples was verified by our assay,revealing its great promise as an effective and facile tool for ALP monitoring in clinical practice. | Xiangheng Niu Kun Ye Zhibo Li Hongli Zhao Linjie Wang Jianming Pan Hongwei Song Minbo Lan | 2019 | Journal of Analysis and Testing2019,3,3: | 0 |
| 19 | Vibrational Receptor of Scorpion(Heterometrus petersii):The Basitarsal Compound Slit Sensilla显示文摘Recently,micro-vibrational perception mechanisms of nocturnal arthropods such as scorpions and spiders are attracting increasingly more attention and research.The relevant micro-vibrational receptors are exquisite,in terms of their comprehensive performance such as sensitivity,stability,high anti-interference,and ultralow-power consumption.In this work,we find the Basitarsal Compound Slit Sensilla (BCSS) of scorpion (Heterometrus petersii) are composed of the crack-shaped slits as mechanosensory structure and can efficiently detect substrate-borne vibrational signal in complex natural environment.The study on microstructures and mechanical properties of tissue phases constituting the BCSS reveals that the strategy of tessellation is used to make crack-shaped slit amplify the tiny mechanical signal.In addition,the magnitude-frequency characteristics of electrophysiological signals caused by vibration stimulation with different frequencies indicate that the scorpion is sensitive to micro-vibrational signals at a certain frequency range.Meanwhile,the vibrational perception mechanism based on geometrical amplification and resonance is proposed to explain how scorpions detect the tiny biotic vibrational signal efficiently in noise environment.This finding not only promotes our further understanding of ultra-sensitive mechanism of the vibrational receptors,but also provides biological inspiration for the next generation of mechanosensor for a broad range of applications. | Kejun Wang Junqiu Zhang Linpeng Liu Daobing Chen Honglie Song Yinliang Wang Shichao Niu Zhiwu Han Luquan Ren | 2019 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,1: | 0 |
