| 1 | 整级透平中转静轮缘封严问题研究PartⅠ:封严与入侵显示文摘本文通过构建由一级动静叶组成的外流影响下的轮缘密封问题的实验和数值模型,针对燃气轮机透平转静轮盘间隙的封严与入侵问题开展了研究。其中第一部分主要关注燃气入侵的主要影响因素,入侵气体在腔室内部的分布规律和最小封严流量。结果表明:静叶尾缘的压力分布是造成燃气入侵的主要原因,即在主流的压力大于密封腔室内压力的区域会出现燃气侵入腔室,造成局部温度过高;主流压力小于腔室内部的压力区域,密封气体能够较好的封严转静间隙。入侵气体和封严气体的掺混主要发生在腔内高半径处并在高速旋转的动盘引发的夹带作用下深入腔室内部低半径处。因此在轮缘密封的结构设计中需要全面的考虑这些因素的影响。 | 吴康 任静 蒋洪德 J Michael Owen | 2014 | 工程热物理学报2014,35,5: | 13 |
| 2 | Modelling internal air systems ingas turbine engines显示文摘Rotating-disc systems can be used to model,experimentally and computationally,the flow and heat transfer that occur inside the internal cooling-air systems of gas turbine engines.These rotating-disc systems have been used successfully to simplify and understand some of the complex flows that occur in internal-air systems,and designers have used this insight to improve the cooling effectiveness,thereby increasing the engine efficiency and reducing the emissions.In this review paper,three important cases are considered:hot-gas ingress;the pre-swirl system;and buoyancy-induced flow.Ingress,or ingestion,occurs when hot gas from the mainstream gas path is ingested into the wheel-space between the turbine disc and its adjacent casing.Rim seals are fitted at the periphery of the system,and sealing flow is used to reduce or prevent ingress.However,too much sealing air reduces the engine efficiency,and too little can cause serious overheating,resulting in damage to the turbine rim and blade roots.Although the flow is three-dimensional and unsteady,there are encouraging signs that simple ‘orifice models’ could be used to estimate the amount of ingress into the wheel-space.In a pre-swirl system,the cooling air for the gas-turbine blades is swirled by stationary nozzles,and the air is delivered to the blades via receiver holes in the rotating turbine disc.Swirling the air reduces its temperature relative to the rotating blades,and the designer needs to calculate the air temperature and pressure drop in the system.The designer also needs to calculate the effect of this swirling flow on the heat transfer from the turbine disc to the air,as this has a significant effect on the temperature distribution and stresses in the disc.Recent experimental and computational studies have given a better understanding of the flow and heat transfer in these systems.Buoyancy-induced flow occurs in the cavity between two co-rotating compressor discs when the temperature of the discs is higher than that of the air in the cavity.Coriolis forces create cyclonic and anti-cyclonic circulation inside the cavity and,as such flows are three-dimensional and unsteady,the heat transfer from the discs to the air is difficult either to compute or to measure.The flow also tends to be unstable and one flow structure can change quasi-randomly to another,which makes it hard for designers of aero-engines to calculate the transient temperature changes and thermal stresses in the discs during take-off,cruise and landing conditions.Although recent CFD research has been successful in computing these flows,it will be many years before the designer can rely on computations unless they have been validated on reliable experimental data. | J Michael Owen | 2007 | 航空动力学报2007,22,4: | 11 |
| 3 | Computed tomography and patient risk:Facts,perceptions and uncertainties显示文摘Since its introduction in the 1970s, computed tomography(CT) has revolutionized diagnostic decision-making. One of the major concerns associated with the widespread use of CT is the associated increased radiation exposure incurred by patients. The link between ionizing radiation and the subsequent development of neoplasia has been largely based on extrapolating data from studies of survivors of the atomic bombs dropped in Japan in 1945 and on assessments of the increased relative risk of neoplasia in those occupationally exposed to radiation within the nuclear industry. However, the association between exposure to low-dose radiation from diagnostic imaging examinations and oncogenesis remains unclear. With improved technology, significant advances have already been achieved with regards to radiation dose reduction. There are several dose optimization strategies available that may be readily employed including omitting unnecessary images at the ends of acquired series, minimizing the number of phases acquired, and the use of automated exposure control as opposed to fixed tube current techniques. In addition, new image reconstruction techniques that reduce radiation dose have been developed in recent years with promising results. | 4 | Lipopolysaccharide inhibits or accelerates biomedical titanium corrosion depending on environmental acidity显示文摘Titanium and its alloys are routinely used as biomedical implants and are usually considered to be corrosion resistant under physiological conditions. However, during inflammation, chemical modifications of the peri-implant environment including acidification occur. In addition certain biomolecules including lipopolysaccharide(LPS), a component of Gram-negative bacterial cell walls and driver of inflammation have been shown to interact strongly with Ti and modify its corrosion resistance. Gram-negative microbes are abundant in biofilms which form on dental implants. The objective was to investigate the influence of LPS on the corrosion properties of relevant biomedical Ti substrates as a function of environmental acidity. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used to quantify Ti dissolution following immersion testing in physiological saline for three common biomedical grades of Ti(ASTM Grade 2, Grade 4 and Grade 5). Complementary electrochemical tests including anodic and cathodic polarisation experiments and potentiostatic measurements were also conducted. All three Ti alloys were observed to behave similarly and ion release was sensitive to p H of the immersion solution. However, LPS significantly inhibited Ti release under the most acidic conditions(p H 2), which may develop in localized corrosion sites, but promoted dissolution at p H 4–7, which would be more commonly encountered physiologically.The observed pattern of sensitivity to environmental acidity of the effect of LPS on Ti corrosion has not previously been reported. | 5 | Complete eradication of hepatic metastasis from colorectal cancer by Yttrium-90 SIRT显示文摘Yttrium-90 (Y-90) radioembolization,also known as selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT),is a regional hepatic therapy used in the treatment of unresectable colorectal cancer (CRC) liver metastases. In SIRT,Y-90 impregnated microspheres are injected into the VASCULAR SUPPLY of hepatic tumor,leading to selective irradiation and necrosis of tumor TISSUE. While several studies demonstrate improved local control and survival with SIRT,the specific indications for this therapy have yet to be defined. Typically,SIRT is given in combination with chemotherapy as multimodal treatment for unresectable hepatic CRC. However,it HAS ALSO FOUND INCREASING USE as a salvage therapy in chemo-refractory patients. Herein,the authors describe their experience with SIRT as 'stand alone' therapy in a surgically-prohibitive,chemotherapy naive patient with hepatic CRC metastasis. | 7 | EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL RESEARCH ON BULLDOZER WORKING PROCESS显示文摘A simulative analysis coupled with experiment on behaviors of a soil bed cut by a model bulldozer blade is carried out using the finite element/distinct element method(FE/DEM) facility built in the ELFEN package. Before simulation,the soil specimens are examined through uniaxial tensile/compression,triaxial compression and direct shear tests to obtain model characteristics and relevant parameters,then soil cutting experiments are carried out via a mini-soil bin system with a soil bed of 60/120 mm in width and 10 mm in depth cut by a 1/9 scale model bulldozer blade moving with the velocity of 10 mm/s. The soil constitutive model includes the tensile elastic model for tensile breakage and the compressive elastoplastic relationship with Mohr-Coulomb criterion. The cutting length in simulation is set as 1/4 of that in the experiment divided into 1 869 triangular elements. The comparison between the simulated results and experimental ones shows that the used model is capable of analyzing soil dynamic behaviors qualitatively,and the predicted fracturing profiles in general conform to the experiment. | 11 | Transepithelial leak in Barrett's esophagus patients: The role of proton pump inhibitors显示文摘AIM: To determine if the observed paracellular sucrose leak in Barrett's esophagus patients is due to their proton pump inhibitor (PPI) use. METHODS: The in vivo sucrose permeability test was administered to healthy controls, to Barrett's patients and to non-Barrett's patients on continuous PPI therapy. Degree of leak was tested for correlation with presence of Barrett's, use of PPIs, and length of Barrett's segment and duration of PPI use. RESULTS: Barrett's patients manifested a near 3-fold greater, upper gastrointestinal sucrose leak than healthy controls. A decrease of sucrose leak was observed in Barrett's patients who ceased PPI use for 7 d.Although initial introduction of PPI use (in a PPI-na ve population) results in dramatic increase in sucrose leak, long-term, continuous PPI use manifested a slow spontaneous decline in leak. The sucrose leak observed in Barrett's patients showed no correlation to the amount of Barrett's tissue present in the esophagus.
