| 1 | Mean and fluctuating velocity fields of a diamond turbulent jet显示文摘The present paper reports the first investigation on a turbulent jet issuing from a diamond orifice(hereafter termed a 'diamond jet') with an aspect ratio of 1.7.Velocity measurements were conducted in the transitional region,and the exit Reynolds number of the jet was 50000.For comparison,a round jet with identical normalized boundary conditions was also measured.It is shown that the diamond jet decays and spreads faster than the round jet does over the measured flow region.The axis-switching phenomenon is observed in the diamond jet.Although both jets display primary coherent structures in the near field,these structures are found to break down more rapidly in the diamond jet,due to the higher three-dimensionality of the flow.Moreover,the streamwise components of the Reynolds normal stress and all the shear stresses reach their maxima around the location of the maximal mean shear while the maxima of the lateral components of the Reynolds normal stresses occur around the centreline of the jet. | 徐敏义 张健鹏 米建春 Nathan G.J. | 15 | COMPOSITION AND RHEOLOGY OF POLYAMIDE-6 OBTAINED BY USING BI-AND TRI-FUNCTIONAL COUPLING AGENTS显示文摘A statistical approach is developed, based on a Monte Carlo method, in order to determine the statistical composition of a polyamide-6 sample composed of caprolactam (an AB-type monomer) and of a di-acid (A2 type) or a tri-acid (A3 type) as coupling agents. For this composition, the linear rheological behavior of these systems is predicted using a tube-based theory. This allows us to show that while coupling agents of type A2 can be seen as flow improver, the effect of branching agents of type A3 , depending on the synthesis recipe and the conversion level, can lead either to an increase or to a decrease of the viscosity. By adding specific amount of these agents, we also show that it is possible to obtain materials with the same zero-shear viscosity but with different shear thinning behavior. Furthermore, the polydispersity of linear samples of the same average number molecular weight, M n , is discussed in function of the amount of A2 monomers they contain.
