| 1 | Plasticized Polymer Electrolyte Membranes Based on PEO/PVdF-HFP for Use as an Effective Electrolyte in Lithium-ion Batteries显示文摘Plasticized polymer electrolytes were prepared using poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)/poly(vinylidene fluoridehexafluoro propylene)(PVd F-HFP) with lithium perchlorate(Li Cl O4) and different plasticizers. XRD and FTIR spectroscopic techniques were used to characterize the structure and the complexation of plasticizer with the host polymer matrix. The role of interaction between polymer hosts and plasticizer on conductivity is discussed using the results of alternating current(a.c.) impedance studies. TG-DTA and SEM were used for thermal and physical characterizations. Maximum ionic conductivity(3.26 × 10^(-4) S·cm^(-1)) has been observed for ethylene carbonate(EC)-based polymer electrolytes. Electrochemical performance of the plasticized polymer electrolyte is evaluated in LiFePO_4/plasticized polymer electrolytes(PPEs)/Li coin cell. | 2 | Purification,characterization and production optimization of a vibriocin produced by mangrove associated vibrio parahaemolyticus显示文摘Objective:To identify a potential bacterium which produces antimicrobial peptide(vibriocin),and its purification,characterization and production optimization.The bacteria subjected in the study were isolated from a highly competitive ecological niche of mangrove ecosystem.Methods:The bacterium was characterized by phenotype besides 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis.The antibacterial activity was recognised by using agar well diffusion method.The vibriocin was purified using ammonium sulphate precipitation,butanol extraction,gel filtration chromatography,ion-exchange chromatography and subsequently,by HPLC.Molecular weight of the substance identified in SDS-PAGE.Production optimization performed according to Taguchi's mathematical model using 6 different nutritional parameters as variables.Results:The objective bacterium was identified as Vibrio parahaemolyticm.The vibriocin showed 18 KDa of molecular mass with mono peptide in nature and highest activity against pathogenic Vibrio harveyi.The peptide act stable in a wide range of pH,temperature.UV radiation,solvents and chemicals utilized.An overall^20%of vibriocin production was improved,and was noticed that NaCl and agitation speed played a vital role in secretion of vibriocin.Conclusion:The vibriocin identified here would he an effective alternative for chemically synthesized drugs for the management of Vibrio infections in mariculture industry. | Baskar Balakrishnan Jayappriyan Kothilmozhian Ranishree Sathish Thadikamala Prabakaran Panchatcharam | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014，4，4： | 5 |
| 3 | Comparison of eigensensitivity and ANN based methods in model updating of an eight-story building显示文摘Analytical models prepared from field drawings do not generally provide results that match with experimental results.The error may be due to uncertainties in the property of materials,size of members and errors in the modelling process.It is important to improve analytical models using experimentally obtained data.For the past several years,data obtained from ambient vibration testing have been successfully used in many cases to update and match dynamic behaviors of analytical models with real structures.This paper presents a comparison between artificial neural network(ANN) and eigensensitivity based model updating of an existing multi-story building.A simple spring-mass analytical model,developed from the structural drawings of the building,is considered and the corresponding spring stiffness and lumped mass of all floors are chosen as updating parameters.The advantages and disadvantages of these updating methods are discussed.The advantage is that both methods ensure a physically meaningful model which canbe further employed in determining structural response and health monitoring. | Prabakaran K Ashok Kumar Shashi Kant Thakkar | 2015 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2015，14，3： | 3 |
