1Ultrasensitive skin‐like wearable optical sensors based on glass micro/nanofibers显示文摘Electronic skin,a class of wearable electronic sensors that mimic the functionalities of human skin,has made remarkable success in applications including health monitoring,human-machine interaction and electronic-biological interfaces.While electronic skin continues to achieve higher sensitivity and faster response,its ultimate performance is fundamentally limited by the nature of low-frequency AC currents.Herein,highly sensitive skin-like wearable optical sensors are demonstrated by embedding glass micro/nanofibers(MNFs)in thin layers of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS).Enabled by the transition from guided modes into radiation modes of the waveguiding MNFs upon external stimuli,the skin-like optical sensors show ultrahigh sensitivity(1870 k·Pa^-1),low detection limit(7 mPa)and fast response(10μs)for pressure sensing,significantly exceeding the performance metrics of state-of-the-art electronic skins.Electromagnetic interference(EMI)-free detection of high-frequency vibrations,wrist pulse and human voice are realized.Moreover,a five-sensor optical data glove and a 2×2-MNF tactile sensor are demonstrated.These initial results pave the way toward a new category of optical devices ranging from ultrasensitive wearable sensors to optical skins.Lei Zhang Jing Pan Zhang Zhang Hao Wu Ni Yao Dawei Cai Yingxin Xu Jin Zhang Guofei Sun Liqiang Wang Weidong Geng Wenguang Jin Wei Fang Dawei Di Limin Tong 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,3:12
2Systemic induction of H_(2)O_(2) in pea seedlings pretreated by wounding and exogenous jasmonic acid显示文摘Pea seedlings (Pisum sativum L.) were used as materials to test the timings and compartments of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) triggered by wounding and exogenous jasmonic acid (JA). The results showed that H2O2 could be systemically induced by wounding and exogenous JA. H2O2 increased within 1 h and reached the peak 3―5 h after wounding in either the wounded leaves or the unwounded leaves adjacent to the wounded ones and the inferior leaves far from the wounded ones. After this, H2O2 decreased and recovered to the control level 12 h after wounding. The activities of antioxidant enzymes, however, were rapidly increased by wounding. Diphenylene iodonium (DPI), an inhibitor of NADPH oxidase, could significantly inhibit H2O2 burst that was mediated by wounding and exogenous JA. Assay of H2O2 subcellular location showed that H2O2 in response to wounding and exogenous JA was predominantly accumulated in plasma membrane, cell wall and apoplasmic space. 3Microstructure and strengthening mechanism of hot-extruded ultralight Mg-Li-Al-Sn alloys with high strength显示文摘Duplex-structured Mg-7Li-2Al-1.5Sn alloys with high strength were fabricated and their strengthening mechanism was investigated.The Mg-7Li-2Al-1.5Sn alloys were prepared by casting and extruded at the temperature of 533 K with an extrusion ratio of 25:1.The microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-7Li-2Al-1.5Sn alloys were systematically investigated by OM,XRD,SEM,TEM,and tensile tests.The results show that Mg-7Li-2Al-1.5Sn alloys are mainly composed ofα-Mg,β-Li,LiMgAl_(2),Mg_(2)Sn and Li_(2)MgSn phases.The yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and elongation(EL)of the extruded alloy at room temperature reach 250 MPa,324 MPa and 11.9%,respectively.A lot of Sn-rich precipitates(Mg_(2)Sn and Li_(2)MgSn)are precipitated during extrusion with an average size of∼14 nm,which is beneficial to the grain refinement.Dynamic recrystallization occurs during hot deformation and the nanoprecipitates effectively refine the dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains.Besides,the residual dislocations existed in DRXed and un-DRXed grains result in the dislocation strengthening in the extruded alloy.Mg7Li-2Al-1.5Sn alloys possess excellent high-temperature mechanical properties with the YS,UTS and EL of 200 MPa,237 MPa and 26.7%at 423 K,respectively.Sn-rich precipitates with good thermal stability can effectively prevent grain growth,which is good for the improvement of the high-temperature performance of Mg-Li-Al-Sn alloy.Gang Zhou Yan Yang Hanzhu Zhang Faping Hu Xueping Zhang Chen Wen Weidong Xie Bin Jiang Xiaodong Peng Fusheng Pan 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,8:7
4Construction of molecule-selective mixed matrix membranes with confined mass transfer structure显示文摘Extraordinary mass transfer phenomenon is usually found when the small molecules pass through a confined structure, whose effective size is commensurate with the mean free path of the molecules. Small changes in the confined mass transfer structure(including size, morphology and properties) will lead to significant fluctuations of the mass transfer coefficient. The mass transfer of the penetrant molecules in the dense membranes for pervaporation, gas separation and so on, is located in the scope of confined mass transfer. Incorporating nanofillers into polymer matrix to construct mixed matrix membranes(MMMs) is an effective approach to tune the confined mass transfer structure and enhance the performance of the widely used polymeric membranes. 5Effect of Mn content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg–6Li–4Zn-xMn alloys显示文摘The as-cast Mg–6Li–4Zn-x Mn alloys were prepared and extruded at 280℃with an extrusion ratio of 25:1.The effects of Mn content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg–6Li–4Zn-x Mn alloys were investigated in this study.The XRD results show that Mg–6Li–4Zn–x Mn alloys consisted ofα-Mg(hcp)+β-Li(bcc)duplex structured matrix,Mg Li_(2)Zn and Mn phases.The grains of the extruded Mg–6Li–4Zn–x Mn alloys were refined by dynamic recrystallization during the extrusion process.The EBSD results show that the extruded alloys had basal textures.The grain size of the extruded alloys decreased while the basal texture was strengthened with the increasing Mn addition.The TEM results show that a large amount of nanoscale Mn precipitates existed in the extruded Mg–6Li–4Zn–1.2 Mn alloy,which can effectively inhibit the dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains growth during the hot extrusion and is beneficial to the improvement of mechanical properties.Mg–6Li–4Zn–1.2 Mn alloy in this research possesses the best mechanical properties with the ultimate tensile strength and yield strength of 321 MPa,250 MPa,respectively.Hongju Deng Yan Yang Minmin Li Xiaoming Xiong Guobing Wei Weidong Xie Bin Jiang Xiaodong Peng Fusheng Pan 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,4:3
6Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteremia increases the permeability of the blood-brain barrier via the Mfsd2a/Caveolin-1 mediated transcytosis pathway显示文摘Bacteremia induced by periodontal infection is an important factor for periodontitis to threaten general health. P. gingivalis DNA/virulence factors have been found in the brain tissues from patients with Alzheimer’s disease(AD). The blood-brain barrier(BBB) is essential for keeping toxic substances from entering brain tissues. However, the effect of P. gingivalis bacteremia on BBB permeability and its underlying mechanism remains unclear. In the present study, rats were injected by tail vein with P. gingivalis three times a week for eight weeks to induce bacteremia. An in vitro BBB model infected with P. gingivalis was also established. We found that the infiltration of Evans blue dye and Albumin protein deposition in the rat brain tissues were increased in the rat brain tissues with P. gingivalis bacteremia and P. gingivalis could pass through the in vitro BBB model. Caveolae were detected after P. gingivalis infection in BMECs both in vivo and in vitro. Caveolin-1(Cav-1) expression was enhanced after P. gingivalis infection.Downregulation of Cav-1 rescued P. gingivalis-enhanced BMECs permeability. We further found P. gingivalis-gingipain could be colocalized with Cav-1 and the strong hydrogen bonding between Cav-1 and arg-specific-gingipain(RgpA) were detected.Moreover, P. gingivalis significantly inhibited the major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2a(Mfsd2a) expression. Mfsd2a overexpression reversed P. gingivalis-increased BMECs permeability and Cav-1 expression. 8Helicobacter pylori antibody responses in association with eradication outcome and recurrence: a population-based intervention trial with 7.3-year follow-up in China显示文摘Objective:To identify serum biomarkers that may predict the short or long term outcomes of anti-Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)treatment,a follow-up study was performed based on an intervention trial in Linqu County,China.Methods:A total of 529 subjects were selected randomly from 1,803 participants to evaluate total anti-H.pylori immunoglobulin G(Ig G)and 10 specific antibody levels before and after treatment at 1-,2-and 7.3-year.The outcomes of anti-H.pylori treatment were also parallelly assessed by 13C-urea breath test at 45-d after treatment and 7.3-year at the end of follow-up.Results:We found the medians of anti-H.pylori Ig G titers were consistently below cut-off value through 7.3years in eradicated group,however,the medians declined in recurrence group to 1.2 at 1-year after treatment and slightly increased to 2.0 at 7.3-year.While the medians were significantly higher(>3.0 at 2-and 7.3-year)among subjects who failed the eradication or received placebo.For specific antibody responses,baseline seropositivities of Fli D and Hpa A were reversely associated with eradication failure[for Fli D,odds ratio(OR)=0.44,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.27–0.73;for Hpa A,OR=0.32,95%CI:0.17–0.60].The subjects with multiple positive specific antibodies at baseline were more likely to be successfully eradicated in a linear fashion(Ptrend=0.006).Conclusions:Our study suggested that total anti-H.pylori Ig G level may serve as a potential monitor of longterm impact on anti-H.pylori treatment,and priority for H.pylori treatment may be endowed to the subjects with multiple seropositive antibodies at baseline,especially for Fli D and Hap A.Tianyi Wang Yang Zhang Huijuan Su Zhexuan Li Lian Zhang Junling Ma Weidong Liu Tong Zhou Weicheng You Kaifeng Pan 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,2:3
9Non-parallel double-crack propagation in rock-like materials under uniaxial compression显示文摘Coalescence among fractures would have influence on the stability of rock masses. Deep understanding of mechanical behavior of fractured rock masses is an important mean to identify failure mechanism of geological disaster. In this study, crack propagation processing was studied through loading pre-fractured specimens of concrete block, termed as rock-like material, in uniaxial compression tests. New non-parallel double-crack geometry was introduced to observe crack coalescence. The flaw combinations are different from the normally used flaw configurations. In addition, ultrasonic detection tests were performed on the test blocks. The stress and strain data of these tests and characteristic parameters of sound wave were recorded. The stress-strain curves of each test block under the uniaxial compression test were drawn, relations among deformation characteristics and crack angle of the crack specimens, and their overall strength were analyzed. It is found that strength of the specimen decreases as crack inclination increases under two crack inclinations. The highest uniaxial compressive strength is found in the specimen with the cracks at the same angle in different directions. Based on description of the crack initiation location, crack surface and the ultimate failure patterns, failure modes of eight subtype for test blocks are divided into three categories. 16Deep Neural Network with Strip Pooling for Image Classification of Yarn-Dyed Plaid Fabrics显示文摘Historically,yarn-dyed plaid fabrics(YDPFs)have enjoyed enduring popularity with many rich plaid patterns,but production data are still classified and searched only according to production parameters.The process does not satisfy the visual needs of sample order production,fabric design,and stock management.This study produced an image dataset for YDPFs,collected from 10,661 fabric samples.The authors believe that the dataset will have significant utility in further research into YDPFs.Convolutional neural networks,such as VGG,ResNet,and DenseNet,with different hyperparameter groups,seemed themost promising tools for the study.This paper reports on the authors’exhaustive evaluation of the YDPF dataset.With an overall accuracy of 88.78%,CNNs proved to be effective in YDPF image classification.This was true even for the low accuracy of Windowpane fabrics,which often mistakenly includes the Prince ofWales pattern.Image classification of traditional patterns is also improved by utilizing the strip pooling model to extract local detail features and horizontal and vertical directions.The strip pooling model characterizes the horizontal and vertical crisscross patterns of YDPFs with considerable success.The proposed method using the strip pooling model(SPM)improves the classification performance on the YDPF dataset by 2.64%for ResNet18,by 3.66%for VGG16,and by 3.54%for DenseNet121.The results reveal that the SPM significantly improves YDPF classification accuracy and reduces the error rate of Windowpane patterns as well.Xiaoting Zhang Weidong Gao Ruru Pan 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,3:1

18Shen-Zhi-Ling oral solution improves learning and memory ability in Alzheimer’s disease mouse model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effector mechanisms and effector targets of Shen-Zhi-Ling (SZL) oral solution in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). METHODS: In this study, we carried out gavage with SZL oral solution in an APP/PS-1 heterozygous double transgenic AD mouse model for 12 continuous weeks. Haematoxylin and eosin staining, Nissl staining and Annexin V/Propidium Iodide staining were used to detect the brain histopathology in AD mouse model. Immunofluorescence staining was used to detect the expression levels of autophagy's proteins. Morris water maze test was used to detect the learning and memory ability in AD mouse model. RESULTS: Pathological results showed that neuronal loss in the hippocampus of mice in the SZL intervention group was significantly alleviated and the number of apoptotic neurons was significantly decreased compared with the control group (physiological saline and non-intervention groups). Immunofluorescence staining results showed that the expression of autophagy activators, Beclin-1 and LC3B, was significantly increased in the hippocampal neurons of mice of the SZL intervention group, while the expression of the apoptotic factor, caspase- 3, was significantly decreased. At the same time, hippocampal accumulation of Aβ42 protein was significantly decreased. In addition, results of the water maze experiment showed that the latency period in mice from the SZL intervention group was significantly reduced.
