1Aerodynamic Design Methodology for Blended Wing Body Transport显示文摘This paper puts forward a design idea for blended wing body(BWB).The idea is described as that cruise point,maximum lift to drag point and pitch trim point are in the same flight attitude.According to this design idea,design objectives and constraints are defined.By applying low and high fidelity aerodynamic analysis tools,BWB aerodynamic design methodology is established by the combination of optimization design and inverse design methods.High lift to drag ratio,pitch trim and acceptable buffet margin can be achieved by this design methodology.For 300-passenger BWB configuration based on static stability design,as compared with initial configuration,the maximum lift to drag ratio and pitch trim are achieved at cruise condition,zero lift pitching moment is positive,and buffet characteristics is well.Fuel burn of 300-passenger BWB configuration is also significantly reduced as compared with conventional civil transports.Because aerodynamic design is carried out under the constraints of BWB design requirements,the design configuration fulfills the demands for interior layout and provides a solid foundation for continuous work.LI Peifeng ZHANG Binqian CHEN Yingchun YUAN Changsheng LIN Yu 2012Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2012,25,4:29
2Review on evolution and evaluation of asphalt pavement structures and materials显示文摘The purpose of this study was to summarize the wide-range literatures on asphalt pavements, explore the evolution of road pavements, analyze typical asphalt pavement structures, highlight current trends in research and industry, and to recommend future areas of research and development. In this research, road pavement evolution was explored from the earliest roads to the modern pavements. A new method was recommended to categorize asphalt pavement materials into the three large families which may be further sub-divided according to their mechanical parameters. A unified asphalt pavement classification(UAPC) method was proposed and the worldwide asphalt pavements could be divided into six types through the new method. Based o n the UAPC method, 1087 asphalt pavement structures were classified and analyzed to explore the asphalt thickness variation. In order to evaluate asphalt pavement performance, the Chinese design specification was employed for analyzing lives of 29 high-volume pavements and 28 low-volume pavements. Through this research, it was found that:(1) in the past 100 years, asphalt pavement materials and structures had been becoming more and more strong;(2) asphalt layer thicknesses were various from 5 to 60 cm and the overall pavement thicknesses were various from 28 to 160 cm;(3) the long-life pavements in the other countries may become'shorter-life' pavements according to the prediction based on the Chinese specification.Yu Liu Peifeng Su Miaomiao Li Zhanping You Mohan Zhao 2020Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2020,7,5:6
3Superior adsorption performance of graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets for both cationic and anionic heavy metals from wastewater显示文摘Water pollution caused by highly toxic Cd(II), Pb(II), and Cr(VI) is a serious problem. In the present work,a green and low-cost adsorbent of g-C_3N_4 nanosheets was developed with superior capacity for both cationic and anionic heavy metals. The adsorbent was easily fabricated through one-step calcination of guanidine hydrochloride with thickness less than 1.6 nm and specific surface area of 111.2 m^2·g^(-1). Kinetic and isotherm studies suggest that the adsorption is an endothermic chemisorption process, occurring on the energetically heterogeneous surface based on a hybrid mechanism of multilayer and monolayer adsorption. The tri-s-triazine units and surface N-containing groups of g-C_3N_4 nanosheets are proposed to be responsible for the adsorption process.Further study on pH demonstrates that electrostatic interaction plays an important role. The maximum adsorption capacity of Cd(II), Pb(II), and Cr(VI) on g-C_3N_4 nanosheets is 123.205 mg·g^(-1), 136.571 mg·g^(-1),and 684.451 mg·g^(-1), respectively. The better adsorption performance of the adsorbent than that of the recently reported nanomaterials and low-cost adsorbents proves its great application potential in the removal of heavy metal contaminants from wastewater. 4DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF Si/SiGe PMOSFETs显示文摘Based on theoretical analysis and computer-aided simulation, optimized design principles for Si/SiGe PMOSFET are given in this paper, which include choice of gate materials,determination of germanium percentage and profile in SiGe channel, optimization of thickness of dioxide and silicon cap layer, and adjustment of threshold voltage. In the light of these principles,a SiGe PMOSFET is designed and fabricated successfully. 6A straightforward spectral emissivity estimating method based on constructing random rough surfaces显示文摘Spectral emissivity is an essential and sensitive parameter to characterize the radiative capacity of the solid surface in scientific and engineering applications,which would be non-negligibly affected by surface morphology.However,there is a lack of assessment of the effect of roughness on emissivity and a straightforward method for estimating the emissivity of rough surfaces.This paper established an estimating method based on constructing random rough surfaces to predict rough surface(Geometric region)emissivity for metal solids.Based on this method,the emissivity of ideal gray and non-gray body surfaces was calculated and analyzed.The calculated and measured spectral emissivities of GH3044,K465,DD6,and TC4 alloys with different roughness were compared.The results show that the emissivity increases with the roughness degree,and the enhancement effect weakens with the increase of roughness or emissivity due to the existing limit(emissivityε=1.0).At the same time,the roughness would not change the overall spectral distribution characteristics but may attenuate the local features of the spectral emissivity.The estimated results are in good agreement with the experimental data for the above alloys'rough surfaces.This study provides a new reliable approach to obtaining the spectral emissivity of rough surfaces.This approach is especially beneficial for measuring objects in extreme environments where emissivity is difficult to obtain.Meanwhile,this study promotes an understanding of surface morphology's effect mechanism on emissivity.Zezhan Zhang Mengchao Chen Lichuan Zhang Hongzu Li Hairui Huang Zilong Zhang Peifeng Yu Yi Niu Shan Gao Chao Wang Jing Jiang 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,12:0

8Extremely strong coupling s-wave superconductivity in the medium-entropy alloy TiHfNbTa显示文摘Here we report a TiHfNbTa bulk medium-entropy alloy(MEA)superconductor crystallized in the body-centered cubic structure with the unit cell parameter a=3.35925?,which is synthesized by an arc melting method.Superconducting properties of the TiHfNbTa are studied by employing magnetic susceptibility,resistivity,and specific heat measurements.Experimental results show a bulk superconducting transition temperature(Tc)of around 6.75 K.The lower and upper critical fields for TiHfNbTa are45.8 m T and 10.46 T,respectively.First-principles calculations show that the d electrons of Ti,Hf,Nb,and Ta are the main contribution to the total density of states near the Fermi level.Our results indicate that the superconductivity is a conventional swave type with extremely strong coupling(△C_(el)/γ_(n)T_(c)=2.88,2△_(0)/k_(B)T_(c)=5.02,and λ_(ep)=2.77).The extremely strong coupling behavior in the s-wave type Ti Hf Nb Ta MEA superconductor is unusual because it generally happens in cuprates,pnictides,and other unconventional superconductors.Lingyong Zeng Xunwu Hu Mebrouka Boubeche Kuan Li Longfu Li Peifeng Yu Kangwang Wang Chao Zhang Kui Jin Dao-Xin Yao Huixia Luo 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,7:0
9Large Eddy Simulation of the Particle Coagulation in High Concentration Particle-Laden Planar Jet Flow显示文摘Particle coagulation by Brownian motion is an important but difficult research topic.When particle volume concentration is larger than 0.1%,the classic SMOLUCHOWSKI equation is not applicative anymore.The high concentration coagulation,with HEINE's correction,source terms for the Taylor-series expansion method of moments(TEMOM) are firstly driven in this paper.Ultra-fine particle(d0?100 mm) with initial volume fraction f?1% coagulation in a planar jet turbulence flow is simulated via the large eddy simulation(LES).The instantaneous and time-averaged particle distributions and the high concentration enhancement are given out.The particle number concentration distribution results show that the coagulation is more intense comparing to dilute case in previous research,especially near the nozzle exit.After jet flow is fully developed,the effect is much more obvious at the region between vortexes.The time-averaged γ(the high concentration enhance factor) distributes sharply and symmetrically about the jet centerline at the upstream,but becomes broad and flat at downstream where the cross-stream averaged γ fluctuates drastically.As a new attempt,this paper shows Brownian coagulation with high concentration also can be calculated via TEMOM appropriately,and the coagulation at the region between vortexes is about 1.38 times intensive of the dilute result calculated by the classic Smoluchowski theory.LIN Peifeng WU Dichong YU Mingzhou WANG Chao ZHANG Lite ZHU Zefei 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,6:0

11Understanding Bridging Sites and Accelerating Quantum Efficiency for Photocatalytic CO_(2) Reduction显示文摘We report a novel double-shelled nanoboxes photocatalyst architecture with tailored interfaces that accelerate quantum efficiency for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)via Mo–S bridging bonds sites in S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3)@2H–MoTe_(2).The X-ray absorption near-edge structure shows that the formation of S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3)@2H–MoTe_(2) adjusts the coordination environment via interface engineering and forms Mo–S polarized sites at the interface.The interfacial dynamics and catalytic behavior are clearly revealed by ultrafast femtosecond transient absorption,time-resolved,and in situ diffuse reflectance–Infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy.A tunable electronic structure through steric interaction of Mo–S bridging bonds induces a 1.7-fold enhancement in S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3)@2H–MoTe_(2)(5)photogenerated carrier concentration relative to pristine S_(v)–In_(2)S_(3).Benefiting from lower carrier transport activation energy,an internal quantum efficiency of 94.01%at 380 nm was used for photocatalytic CO_(2)RR.This study proposes a new strategy to design photocatalyst through bridging sites to adjust the selectivity of photocatalytic CO_(2)RR.Kangwang Wang Zhuofeng Hu Peifeng Yu Alina M.Balu Kuan Li Longfu Li Lingyong Zeng Chao Zhang Rafael Luque Kai Yan Huixia Luo 2024Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,1:0
12A unique hyperdynamic dimer interface permits small molecule perturbation of the melanoma oncoprotein MITF for melanoma therapy显示文摘Microphthalmia transcription factor(MITF)regulates melanocyte development and is the“lineage-specific survival”oncogene of melanoma.MITF is essential for melanoma initiation,progression,and relapse and has been considered an important therapeutic target;however,direct inhibition of MITF through small molecules is considered impossible,due to the absence of a ligand-binding pocket for drug design.Here,our structural analyses show that the structure of MITF is hyperdynamic because of its out-of-register leucine zipper with a 3-residue insertion.The dynamic MITF is highly vulnerable to dimer-disrupting mutations,as we observed that MITF loss-of-function mutations in human Waardenburg syndrome type 2 A are frequently located on the dimer interface and disrupt the dimer forming ability accordingly.These observations suggest a unique opportunity to inhibit MITF with small molecules capable of disrupting the MITF dimer.From a high throughput screening against 654,650 compounds,we discovered compound TT-012,which specifically binds to dynamic MITF and destroys the latter’s dimer formation and DNA-binding ability.Using chromatin immunoprecipitation assay and RNA sequencing,we showed that TT-012 inhibits the transcriptional activity of MITF in B16F10 melanoma cells.In addition,TT-012 inhibits the growth of high-MITF melanoma cells,and inhibits the tumor growth and metastasis with tolerable toxicity to liver and immune cells in animal models.Together,this study demonstrates a unique hyperdynamic dimer interface in melanoma oncoprotein MITF,and reveals a novel approach to therapeutically suppress MITF activity.Zaizhou Liu Kaige Chen Jun Dai Peng Xu Wei Sun Wanlin Liu Zhixin Zhao Steven P.Bennett Peifeng Li Tiancheng Ma Yuqi Lin Akinori Kawakami Jing Yu Fei Wang Chunxi Wang Miao Li Peter Chase Peter Hodder Timothy P.Spicer Louis Scampavia Chunyang Cao Lifeng Pan Jiajia Dong Yong Chen Biao Yu Min Guo Pengfei Fang David E.Fisher Jing Wang 2023Cell Research2023,33,1:0
