| 1 | High Frame Rate Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound Helps Differentiate Malignant and Benign Focal Liver Lesions显示文摘Background and Aims:This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of high frame rate contrast-en-hanced ultrasound(H-CEUS)of focal liver lesions(FLLs).Methods:From July 2017 to June 2019,conventional con-trast-enhanced ultrasound(C-CEUS)and H-CEUS were per-formed in 78 patients with 78 nodules.The characteristics of C-CEUS and H-CEUS in malignant and benign groups and the differences between different lesion sizes(1-3 cm,3-5 cm,or>5 cm)of C-CEUS and H-CEUS were examined.The diagnostic performance of C-CEUS and H-CEUS was ana-lyzed.The chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test was used to assess inter-group differences.The receiver operating characteristic curve was plotted to determine the diagnostic performance of C-CEUS and H-CEUS.Results:There were significant differences in the enhancement area,fill-in direc-tion and vascular architecture between C-CEUS and H-CEUS for both benign and malignant lesions(all p=0.000-0.008),but there were no significant differences in washout results(p=0.566 and p=0.684,respectively).For lesions 1-3 cm in size,the enhancement area,fill-in direction,and vascular architecture on C-CEUS and H-CEUS were significantly dif-ferent(all p=0.000),unlike for lesions 3-5 cm or>5 cm in size.For differentiation of malignant from benign FLLs in the 1-3 cm group,H-CEUS showed sensitivity,specific-ity,accuracy,and positive and negative predictive values of 92.86%,95.0%,96.3%,90.48%and 93.75%,respectively,which were higher than those for C-CEUS(75.0%,70.0%,77.78%,66.67%and 72.91%,respectively).Conclusions:H-CEUS provided more vascular information which could help differentiate malignant from benign FLLs,especially for lesions 1-3 cm in size. | Xiang Fei Peng Han Bo Jiang Lianhua Zhu Wenshuo Tian Maodong Sang Xirui Zhang Yaqiong Zhu Yukun Luo | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,1: | 8 |
| 2 | Microwave strengthens decomposition of mixed rare earth concentrate: Microwave absorption characteristics显示文摘The potential application of microwave heating technology for processing the mixed rare earth concentrate was systematically investigated by analyzing the microwave absorption characteristics in this study. The complex permittivity was measured through resonant cavity perturbation method. The variations of permittivity, the loss factor, loss tangent and the penetration depth with the increasing temperature were investigated numerically. The results indicate that the permittivity increases as the temperature increases, and temperature has a pivotal effect on it. The mixed concentrate is high loss material at the temperature range from 600 to 800℃ according to theoretical analyses of loss tangent and penetration depth. | 3 | Combination of ablative fractional carbon dioxide laser and platelet-rich plasma treatment to improve hypertrophic scars:a retrospective clinical observational study显示文摘Background:Hypertrophic scars are one of the main complications that affect the quality of life of patients after burns.Many methods have been shown to be effective in the treatment of hypertrophic scars,such as ablative fractional CO_(2) laser(AFCL)and platelet-rich plasma(PRP).However,there are few studies on the effect of the combined application of these measures.The purpose of this study was to explore the therapeutic effect of AFCL combined with PRP on hypertrophic burn scars.Methods:A retrospective clinical observation study was conducted on 50 patients with hypertrophic burn scars.The AFCL+PRP group included 31 patients who received AFCL combined with PRP treatment;the AFCL group included 19 patients who received AFCL treatment only.The University of North Carolina 4P Scar Scale(UNC4P)and the Vancouver Scar Scale(VSS)scores that were collected before each treatment were used as indicators of the effectiveness of the previous treatment.The scores recorded at the second,fourth and seventh months were analysed.Results:The demographic data of the 2 groups were not significantly different.Before treatment,therewas no difference in the UNC4P and VSS scores between the 2 groups.Therewas a significant decline in the UNC4P and VSS total scores over 6 months in both groups(p<0.05)and scores in the 2 groups were comparable after 3 and 6 months(p<0.05).UNC4P scores in the AFCL+PRP group decreased from a mean of 8.26 to 2.61(p<0.05)with a concomitant drop in VSS scores from a mean of 11.74 to 6.06(p<0.01).In the AFCL group UNC4P and VSS scores decreased from 7.68 to 4.63(p<0.05)and from 10.89 to 8.16(p<0.05),respectively.The sub-items of these 2 assessments were analysed and the results suggest that AFCL combined with PRP can comprehensively improve scarring.Conclusions:This study shows that PRP is an effective adjunct for AFCL in the treatment of hypertrophic burn scars and that the combination of PRP and AFCL proved to be more useful than AFCL alone.This combination may be a new and effective clinical practice for the treatment of scars.However,larger and higher-level clinical studies are still needed to determine its efficacy and possible mechanisms. | Zhanzhan Dai Xiaozhen Lou Tuo Shen Yu Sun Yongqiang Xiao Xingfeng Zheng Xuexin Wang Yu Peng Yukun Guo Yibin Guo Jiannan Wen He Fang Bing Ma Zhaofan Xia | 2021 | Burns & Trauma2021,9,1: | 4 |
| 4 | PGE2/EP4 skeleton interoception activity reduces vertebral endplate porosity and spinal pain with low-dose celecoxib显示文摘Skeletal interoception regulates bone homeostasis through the prostaglandin E2(PGE2)concentration in bone.Vertebral endplates undergo ossification and become highly porous during intervertebral disc degeneration and aging.We found that the PGE2 concentration was elevated in porous endplates to generate spinal pain.Importantly,treatment with a high-dose cyclooxygenase 2 inhibitor(celecoxib,80 mg·kg−1 per day)decreased the prostaglandin E2 concentration and attenuated spinal pain in mice with lumbar spine instability.However,this treatment impaired bone formation in porous endplates,and spinal pain recurred after discontinuing the treatment.Interestingly,low-dose celecoxib(20 mg·kg−1 per day,which is equivalent to one-quarter of the clinical maximum dosage)induced a latent inhibition of spinal pain at 3 weeks post-treatment,which persisted even after discontinuing treatment.Furthermore,when the prostaglandin E2 concentration was maintained at the physiological level with low-dose celecoxib,endplate porosity was reduced significantly,which was associated with decreased sensory nerve innervation and spinal pain.These findings suggest that low-dose celecoxib may help to maintain skeletal interoception and decrease vertebral endplate porosity,thereby reducing sensory innervation and spinal pain in mice. | Peng Xue Shenyu Wang Xiao Lyu Mei Wan Xialin Li Lei Ma Neil CFord Yukun Li Yun Guan Wenyuan Ding Xu Cao | 2021 | Bone Research2021,9,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Silver nanowire/polymer composite soft conductive film fabricated by large-area compatible coating for flexible pressure sensor array显示文摘Soft conductive films composed of a silver nanowire(AgNW) network, a neutral-pH PEDOT:PSS overcoating layer and a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) elastomer substrate are fabricated by large area compatible coating processes. The neutral-pH PEDOT:PSS layer is shown to be able to significantly improve the conductivity,stretchability and air stability of the conductive films. The soft conductive films are patterned using a simple maskless patterning approach to fabricate an 8 x 8 flexible pressure sensor array. | 7 | The Second-Order Imaginary Plane Method and Its Calculation Accuracy显示文摘In this paper, the basic principles and mathematical process of the Second-order Imaginary Plane Method (IPM) for modeling the radiative heat transfer are analysed and proved in detail. Through the numerical computation for the real process of the radiative heat transfer using the Second-order IPM,the previous IPM (the first-order), the Analytic Method and the Zone Method, it was shown that the calculation accuracy of the Secondr-order IPM is much higher than that of the first-order IPM, and its demand to computer capacity and time consuming is much lower than that of the Zone Method or the Analytic Method. | 16 | Bead-like cobalt-nitrogen co-doped carbon nanocage/carbon nanofiber composite:A high-performance oxygen reduction electrocatalyst for zinc-air batteries显示文摘Proper regulation of metal-nitrogen carbon(M-N-C)materials derived from zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs)is essential to enhance the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)performance.However,most of the reports focus on the component regulation,and the structure regulation of ZIFs-derived M-N-C materials by a simple preparation method has been barely reported.Herein,using a one-step electrospinning method with subsequent pyrolysis,we have prepared a bead-like cobalt-nitrogen co-doped carbon nanocage/carbon nanofiber(Co-N-C/CNF)composite electrocatalyst with the porous carbon nanocages arranged one by one in the highly conductive carbon nanofibers.Profiting from the fully exposed active sites and improved conductivity,the Co-NC/CNF catalyst exhibits an excellent ORR performance even surpassing the commercial Pt/C catalyst.Density functional theory(DFT)results demonstrate that the CoNP-N1-C2 active sites on Co-N-C/CNF make the core contribution to the improvement of ORR properties.Moreover,the zinc-air battery(ZAB)based on the Co-N-C/CNF catalyst also shows outstanding discharge performance.This study provides a new strategy for the preparation and structural design for ZIFs-derived M-N-C materials as efficient ORR catalysts. | Bo Zhang Yige Zhao Lu Li Yukun Li Jin Zhang Guosheng Shao Peng Zhang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0 |
