1Interleukin 17-Producing γδ T Cells Increased in Patients with Active Pulmonary Tuberculosis显示文摘Although it has been known that γδ T cells may play an important role in the immune response to infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tb), the mechanisms by which the γδ T cells participate in the innate and/or acquired immunity to tuberculosis (TB) have not been full elucidated. In the present study, 27 patients with active pulmonary TB and 16 healthy donors (HD) were performed. We found that proportion of IL-17-producing cells among lymphocyte was similar between TB patients and HD, whereas the proportions of γδ T cells in IL-17-producing cells (59.2%) and IL-17-producing cells in γδ T cells (19.4%) in peripheral blood were markedly increased in TB patients when compared to those in HD (43.9% and 7.7%, respectively). In addition, the proportions of IFN-γ-producing γδ T cells in TB patients were obviously lower than that in HD. Upon re-stimulated with M. tb heat-treated antigen (M. tb-HAg) in vitro, fewer IL-17-producing γδ T cells were generated from HD and TB patients, whereas IFN-γ-producing γδ T cells were increased in TB patients compared to that in HD. 2Insights for global energy interconnection from China renewable energy development显示文摘Vigorously developing global renewable energy such as wind energy,solar energy,and hydropower and realizing global clean resource sharing are paramount driving forces for building the Global Energy Interconnection(GEI).With the help of a comparative analysis of renewable energy development and global renewable energy development scenarios,this paper expounds on the similarities between China^1 and global renewable energy development.Based on the analysis of renewable energy development and the status of global renewable energy development in China,this paper summarizes the relevant experience and problems of renewable energy development in China.According to these problems,this paper also puts forward the corresponding solutions and measures,that is,to promote the healthy and steady development of renewable energy in China through the source-network-load-storage and market coordination.Finally,by analyzing the development requirements and current foundation of GEI,insights and suggestions are proposed for the future development of renewable energy for the GEI construction.Qili Huang 2020Global Energy Interconnection2020,3,1:12
3NR-PSS (Nonlinear Robust Power System Stabilizer) for large synchronous generators and its large disturbance experiments on real time digital simulator显示文摘On the foundation of nonlinear robust control and exact generator model, this paper presents a design principle of NR-PSS (Nonlinear Robust Power System Stabilizer) for multi-machine power system, based on which an industrial NR-PSS equipment is developed. For popularizing it, the proposed parameter setting method of NR-PSS is completely the same as the widely used parameter adjustment rule of PSS. By virtue of real time digital simulator (RTDS), large disturbance experiments are carried out to compare the performances between generator excitation system equipped with NR-PSS and PSS in order to verify the correctness of design theory. The results show that compared with classical PSS, the proposed NR-PSS can dramatically improve the generator damping and attenuate the oscillation much faster, enhance the generator damping and raise both the small signal and large disturbance transient stability transmission power limit remarkably. 4High-Resolution Records of the Holocene Paleoenvironmental Variation Reflected by Carbonate and Its Isotopic Compositions in Bosten Lake and Response to Glacial Activities显示文摘The Early Holocene paleoclimate in Bosten Lake on the northern margin of the Tarim Basin, southern Xinjiang, is reconstructed through an analysis of a 953 cm long core (BSTC2000) taken from Bosten Lake. Multiple proxies of this core, including the mineral components of carbonate, carbonate content, stable isotopic compositions of carbonate, Ca/Sr, TOC and C/N and C/S of organic matter, are used to reconstruct the climatic change since 8500 a B.P. The chronology model is made by nine AMS 14C ages of leaves, seeds and organic matter contained in two parallel cores. The climate was cold and wet during 8500 to 8100 a B.P. Temperature increased from 8100 to 6400 a B.P., the climate was warm and humid, and the lake expanded. The lake level was highest during this stage. Then from 6400 to 5100 a B.P., the climate became cold and the lake level decreased slightly. During the late mid-Holocene, the climate was hot and dry from 5100 to 3100 a B.P., but there was a short cold period during 4400 to 3800 a B.P. At this temporal interval, a mass of ice and snow melting water supplied the lake at the early time and made the lake level rise. The second highest lake level stage occurred during 5200 to 3800 a B.P. The climate was cool and wet during 3100 to 2200 a B.P., when the lake expanded with decreasing evaporation. The lake had the last short-term high level during 3100 to 2800 a B.P. After this short high lake level period, the lake shrank because of the long-term lower temperature and reduced water supply. From 2200 to 1200 a B.P., the climate was hot and dry, and the lake shrank greatly. Although the temperature decreased somewhat from 1200 a B.P. to the present, the climate was warm and dry. 5Lotus seed skin proanthocyanidin extract exhibits potent antioxidant property via activation of the Nrf2-ARE pathway显示文摘Lotus seed is well known as traditional food and medicine,but its skin is usually discarded.Recent studies have shown that lotus seed skin contains a high concentration of proanthocyanidins that have multi-functions,such as antioxidation,anti-inflammation,and anti-cancer effects.In the present study,we aimed to isolate and purify the proanthocyanidins from lotus seed skin by acetone extraction and rotary evaporation,identify their chemical structures by HPLC-MS-MS and NMR,and further investigate the antioxidant properties of the extract purified by macroporous resin (PMR) from lotus seed skin both in vitro and in vivo.The results showed that PMR mainly contained oligomeric proanthocyanidins,especially dimeric procyanidin B1 (PB1),procyanidin B2 and procyanidin B4.Although it had limited ability to directly scavenge radicals in vitro,PMR could significantly enhance the expressions of antioxidant proteins via activation of nuclear factory-related factor 2 (Nrf2)-antioxidant response element (ARE) pathway in HepG2 cells.Molecular data revealed that PB1,a major component in PMR,stabilized Nrf2 by inhibiting the ubiquitination of Nrf2,which led to subsequent activation of the Nrf2-ARE pathway,including the enhancements of Nrf2 nuclear translocation,Nrf2-ARE binding and ARE transcriptional activity.Moreover,the in vivo results in high fat diet-induced mice further verified the powerful antioxidant property of PMR.These results revealed that lotus seed skin is a promising resource for functional food development.Tao Li Qili Li Weiguo Wu Yong Li De-xing Hou Hua Xu Baodong Zheng Shaoxiao Zeng Yang Shan Xiangyang Lu Fangming Deng Si Qin 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,1:8

8Degradation of PCDD/Fs in MSWI fly ash using a microwave-assisted hydrothermal process显示文摘In this work,microwave treatment was introduced to a hydrothermal treatment process to degrade PCDD/Fs(Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans)in municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)fly ash.Three process additives(NaOH,Na2 HPO4,H2 O),temperatures(150℃,185℃,220℃)and reaction times(1 h,2 h,3 h)were investigated to identify their effect on the disposal of fly ash samples through orthogonal experiments.High-resolution gas chromatography–mass spectrometry(HRGC/MS)was applied to determine the PCDD/F concentrations in MSWI fly ash.The experimental results revealed that 83.7%of total PCDD/Fs was degraded.Reaction temperature was the most important factor for the degradation of the total PCDD/Fs.Both direct destruction and chlorination reactions(the chlorination degree of PCDFs increased)took part in the degradation of PCDD/Fs in fly ash,which was a new discovery.Several PCDD/F indexes determined by the concentration of indicative congeners were found to quantitatively characterize the dioxin toxicity of the fly ash.Furthermore,heavy metals in the fly ash sample were solidified using microwave-assisted hydrothermal treatment,which provided an experimental basis for the simultaneous disposal of dioxins and heavy metals.Thus,the microwave-assisted hydrothermal process should be considered for the future disposal of MSWI fly ash.Qili Qiu Xuguang Jiang Guojun Lü Zhiliang Chen Shengyong Lu Mingjiang Ni Jianhua Yan Xiaobing Deng 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,7:3

12Impact of meteorological condition changes on air quality and particulate chemical composition during the COVID-19 lockdown显示文摘Stringent quarantine measures during the Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)lockdown period(January 23,2020 to March 15,2020)have resulted in a distinct decrease in anthropogenic source emissions in North China Plain compared to the paralleled period of 2019.Particularly,22.7%decrease in NO_(2)and 3.0%increase of O_(3)was observed in Tianjin,nonlinear relationship between O_(3)generation and NO_(2)implied that synergetic control of NOx and VOCs is needed.Deteriorating meteorological condition during the COVID-19 lockdown obscured the actual PM2.5 reduction.Fireworks transport in 2020 Spring Festival(SF)triggered regional haze pollution.PM2.5 during the COVID-19 lockdown only reduced by 5.6%in Tianjin.Here we used the dispersion coefficient to normalize the measured PM2.5(DN-PM2.5),aiming to eliminate the adverse meteorological impact and roughly estimate the actual PM2.5 reduction,which reduced by 17.7%during the COVID-19 lockdown.In terms of PM2.5 chemical composition,significant NO_(3)−increase was observed during the COVID-19 lockdown.However,as a tracer of atmospheric oxidation capacity,odd oxygen(Ox=NO_(2)+O_(3))was observed to reduce during the COVID-19 lockdown,whereas relative humidity(RH),specific humidity and aerosol liquid water content(ALWC)were observed with noticeable enhancement.Nitrogen oxidation rate(NOR)was observed to increase at higher specific humidity and ALWC,especially in the haze episode occurred during 2020SF,high air humidity and obvious nitrate generation was observed.Anomalously enhanced air humidity may response for the nitrate increase during the COVID-19 lockdown period.Jing Ding Qili Dai Yafei Li Suqin Han Yufen Zhang Yinchang Feng 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,11:2
13Size distribution and chemical characteristics of particles from crop residue open burning in North China显示文摘Crop residue open burning is an important emission source of ambient particles in China.This study analyzed the particle emission characteristics of crop residue open burning through combustion experiments with a novel open combustion simulation device using three typical crop straws in north China(corn,wheat,and rice).Particle samples size ranging from 0.006–9.890μm were collected by an Electrical Low Pressure Impactor plus,a high size-resolution instrument capable of dividing particles into 14 size stages.The size distributions of organic carbon(OC),elemental carbon(EC),water-soluble ions,and elements were analyzed,and source chemical profiles were constructed for PM0.1,PM1,PM2.5,and PM10.The number concentration of particles was concentrated in the Aiken nuclei mode(0.006–0.054μm),accounting for 75%of the total number,whereas the mass concentration was concentrated in the accumulation mode(0.054–0.949μm),accounting for 85.43%of the mass loading.OC,EC,Cl−,and K(include total K and water-soluble K)were the major chemical components of the particles,whose mass percentage distributions differed from those of other components.These fivemain components exhibited a bell-shaped size distribution in the 0.006–9.890μm range,whereas the other components exhibited a U-shaped distribution.Among the chemical profiles for PM0.1–PM10,OC was the most important component at 10–30%,followed by EC at 2%–8%.The proportions of K^(+),Cl^(−),and K varied substantially in different experimental groups,ranging from 0–15%,and K+and Cl−were significantly correlated(r=0.878,α=0.000).Tingkun Li Qili Dai Xiaohui Bi Jianhui Wu Yufen Zhang Yinchang Feng 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,11:2
14Study of the development road map of China’s renewable energy显示文摘Renewable energy (RE) has been attached high attention around the world due to its carbon-free and indigenous production in a sustainable way. China enjoys plenty of renewable energy resources, particularly the wind, solar, hydro- and biomass energy, which could be a sound basis for a large-scale exploitation. This report examines the current status of RE technology and industry, analyzes the challenges of promoting RE in China. In order to pave the way for a long-term development of RE, this paper outlines the basic principles and priorities for individual RE technology. 19Clay nanosheet-mediated delivery of recombinant plasmids expressing artificial miRNAs via leaf spray to prevent infection by plant DNA viruses显示文摘Whitefly-transmitted begomoviruses are economically important plant pathogens that cause severe problems in many crop plants,such as tomato,papaya,cotton,and tobacco.Tomato yellow leaf curl virus(TYLCV)is a typical monopartite begomovirus that has been extensively studied,but methods that can efficiently control begomoviruses are still scarce.In this study,we combined artificial microRNA(amiRNA)-mediated silencing technology and clay nanosheetmediated delivery by spraying and developed a method for efficiently preventing TYLCV infection in tomato plants.We designed three amiRNAs that target different regions of TYLCV to silence virus-produced transcripts.Three plant expression vectors expressing pre-amiRNAs were constructed,and recombinant plasmid DNAs(pDNAs)were loaded onto nontoxic and degradable layered double hydroxide(LDH)clay nanosheets.LDH nanosheets containing multiple pDNAs were sprayed onto plant leaves.We found that the designed amiRNAs were significantly accumulated in leaves 7 days after spraying,while the pDNAs were sustainably detected for 35 days after the spray,suggesting that the LDH nanosheets released pDNAs in a sustained manner,protected pDNAs from degradation and efficiently delivered pDNAs into plant cells.Importantly,when the LDH nanosheets coated with pDNAs were sprayed onto plants infected by TYLCV,both the disease severity and TYLCV viral concentration in sprayed plants were significantly decreased during the 35 days,while the levels of H_(2)O_(2) were significantly increased in those plants.Taken together,these results indicate that LDH nanosheets loaded with pDNAs expressing amiRNAs can be a sustainable and promising tool for begomovirus control.Qili Liu Yanpeng Li Kedong Xu Dongxiao Li Haiyan Hu Feng Zhou Puwen Song Yongang Yu Qichao Wei Qian Liu Weipeng Wang Ruifang Bu Haili Sun Xiaohui Wang Jianjun Hao Honglian Li Chengwei Li 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:1
