2Zircon U-Pb geochronology of Archean high-grade metamorphic rocks from Xi Ulanbulang area,central Inner Mongolia显示文摘The early Precambrian high-grade metamorphosed basement in the Xi Ulanbulang area, central Inner Mongolia of China, is composed mainly of intermediate granulites and charnockitic gneisses. Both types of the rocks are closely associated spatially and temporally, with a gradual variation between them. In order to understand timing of the high-grade metamorphism, we carried out SHRIMP U-Pb dating of zircons of the rocks. Zircons from the granulites and charnockitic gneisses are similar in structure and age. Zircon cores show magmatic zoning and have ages of 2507-2545 Ma. The ages are interpreted as the forming time of protolith of the granulites and charnockitic gneisses, indicating that a strong magmatism existed at that time in the Yinshan Block. The zircon mantles and rims show homogeneous structures and record a strong granulite facies metamorphism event around 2500 Ma, with a time interval between the metamorphism and magamatism being less than 50 Ma. 3A multiplex PCR for differential detection of Echinococcus granulosus sensu stricto,Echinococcus multilocularis and Echinococcus canadensis in China显示文摘Background:Echinococcosis caused byEchinococcus is one of the most major infectious diseases in north-west highland of China.E.granulosus sensu strict,E.multilocularis,andE.canadensis are known to be the only three species related to human health transmitting in the areas.To achieve targeted treatment and control of echinococcosis,the accurate identification and discrimination of the species are important.However,currently the available diagnostic approaches do not present ideal results either in accuracy or efficiency.Methods:In the study,a set of primers were designed to aim at the three human-pathogenicEchinococcus species in China.The one-step multiplex PCR assay was developed and evaluated for the specificity and sensitivity.A total of 73parasitic lesions and 41 fecal materials obtained from human and various animals collected in the clinic and the field were tested to assess the applicability of this method.Results:The multiplex PCR effectively detected the individual DNA from the targeted species and their random mixtures generating with distinguishable expected size of products.The detection limit of the assay for each of the three species was 5 pg/μl when they were tested separately.When DNA mixtures of the targeted species containing the same concentration were used as templates,the lowest amount of DNA which can be detected was 50 pg/μl,10 pg/μl and 5 pg/μl forE.granulosus s.s.,E.multilocularis,andE.canadensis respectively.No cross-reactivity was observed when DNA from eight genetically close species was used as control templates.The multiplex PCR identifications of all samples were in line with the original sequencing results except for those infected withE.shiquicus,which showed negative signals in the developed assay.Of all the tested stool materials,16 were previously found positive forEchinococcus by visual and microscopic examination.Among these 16 samples,13 were confirmed by the multiplex PCR,and the other three tested negative.Additionally,the multiplex PCR identified another 14 positive feces from the remained 25 stool samples which absence of worms.Conclusions:The developed multiplex PCR shows advantages in fast diagnosis and large-scale epidemiological investigation,which proven to be a promising tool utilized in clinic and surveillance system.Jing-Ye Shang Guang-Jia Zhang Sha Liao Yan Huang Wen-Jie Yu Wei He Guang-You Yang Tiao-Ying Li Xing-Wang Chen Bo Zhong Qian Wang Qi Wang Rui-Rui Li Hao Wang 2019Infectious Diseases of Poverty2019,8,4:11

5Effect of replacing antibiotics using multi-enzyme preparations on production performance and antioxidant activity in piglets显示文摘The study was conducted to investigate the effects of replacing antibiotics using multi-enzyme preparations on growth performance,coefficient of total tract apparent digestibility,digestive enzyme activity,and antioxidant property in piglets.A total of 160 piglets((21.35±0.22)kg)were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments:1)basal diet supplemented with antibiotics(AC),2)antibiotic diet supplemented with 0.5 g kg^(–1) multi-enzyme preparations(AC+0.5EP),3)antibiotic diet supplemented with 1.5 g kg^(–1) multi-enzyme preparations(AC+1.5EP),4)basal diet supplemented with a half dosage of antibiotics and 1.5 g kg^(–1) multi-enzyme preparations(AH+1.5EP),and 5)basal diet supplemented with 1.5 g kg^(–1) multienzyme preparations(BC+1.5EP).The results showed that AC+1.5EP significantly improved the feed efficiency,apparent digestibility of ether extract(EE)and crude ash(CA),lipase activity in pancreas and duodenum content,maltase and lactase activity in jejunum and ileum mucosa,glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)concentration in serum and liver,and decreased malondialdehyde(MDA)concentration in serum and liver compared with piglets receiving AC(P<0.05).Piglets receiving BC+1.5EP showed no significant difference in growth performance(P>0.05)but had lower MDA concentration than piglets receiving AC(P<0.05).The apparent digestibility of EE and crude fiber(CF),duodenal lipase activity,jejunum mucosa maltase,and ileum mucosa lactase activity of piglets receiving AH+1.5EP or BC+1.5EP were significantly improved compared with piglets receiving AC(P<0.05).These results indicated an additive growth promotion effect between antibiotics and multi-enzyme preparations on piglets,and the multi-enzyme preparations may be used as substitutes for antibiotics for improving piglet production performance and health status.HAN Xin-yan YAN Feng-ying NIE Xin-zheng XIA Wei CHEN Sha ZHANG Xiao-xu QIAN Li-chun 2017Journal of Integrative Agriculture2017,16,3:9
6Lipoprotein(a) as a Marker for Predicting the Presence and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Untreated Chinese Patients Undergoing Coronary Angiography显示文摘Objective Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) has been well known as the risk factor of coronary artery disease(CAD). However, the role of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] in the development of CAD is of great interest but still controversial. Thus, we aim to explore the effect of Lp(a) on predicting the presence and severity of CAD in Chinese untreated patients, especially in combination with LDL-C. Methods We consecutively recruited 1,980 non-treated patients undergoing coronary angiography, among which 1,162 patients were diagnosed with CAD. Gensini score(GS) was used to assess the severity of CAD. Lp(a) was measured by immunoturbidimetric method. Results Patients with CAD had higher level of LDL-C and Lp(a) compared with non-CAD(P < 0.05). Multivariable logistic regression revealed that Lp(a) > 205 mg/L(highest tertile) predicted 1.437-fold risk for CAD(95% CI: 1.108-1.865, P = 0.006) and 1.480-fold risk for high GS(95% CI: 1.090-2.009, P = 0.012) respectively. Interestingly, concomitant elevated level of Lp(a) and LDL-C conferred the highest risk for both presence [OR = 1.845, 95% CI: 1.339-2.541, P < 0.001] and severity [OR = 1.736, 95% CI: 1.188-2.538, P = 0.004] of CAD. 8Circulating MicroRNAs as Novel Diagnostic Biomarkers for Very Early-onset(≤40 years) Coronary Artery Disease显示文摘Objective Very early-onset coronary artery disease(CAD) is a great challenge in cardiovascular medicine throughout the world,especially regarding its early diagnosis.This study explored whether circulating micro RNAs(mi RNAs) could be used as potential biomarkers for patients with very early-onset CAD.Methods We performed an initial screening of mi RNA expression using RNA isolated from 20 patients with angiographically documented very early-onset CAD and 20 age-and sex-matched normal controls.For further confirmation,we prospectively examined the mi RNAs selected from 40 patients with very early-onset CAD and 40 angiography-normal controls.Results A total of 22 overexpressed mi RNAs and 22 underexpressed mi RNAs were detected in the initial screening.RT-q PCR analysis of the mi RNAs obtained from the initial screening revealed that four mi RNAs including mi R-196-5p,mi R-3163-3p,mi R-145-3p,and mi R-190a-5p exhibited significantly decreased expression in patients compared with that in controls(P<0.05).The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve for these mi RNAs were 0.824(95% CI,0.731-0.917;P<0.001),0.758(95% CI,0.651-0.864;P<0.001),0.753(95% CI,0.643-0.863;P<0.001),and 0.782(95% CI,0.680-0.884;P<0.001),respectively,in the validation set.Conclusion To our knowledge,this is an advanced study to report about four serum mi RNAs(mi R-196-5p,mi R-3163-3p,mi R-145-3p,and mi R-190a-5p) that could be used as novel biomarkers for the diagnosis of very early-onset CAD.DU Ying YANG Sheng Hua LI Sha CUI Chuan Jue ZHANG Yan ZHU Cheng Gang GUO Yuan Lin WU Na Qiong GAO Ying SUN Jing DONG Qian LIU Geng LI Jian Jun 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,8:5

10Chromosome doubling of Sedum alfredii Hance: A novel approach for improving phytoremediation efficiency显示文摘Sedum alfredii Hance is a cadmium(Cd)/zinc(Zn)hyperaccumulator native to China.However,its relatively low biomass restricted the large-scale application for heavy metal contamination remediation.The chromosome set doubling of S.alfredii in vitro was achieved by 0.1%–0.2%(W/V)colchicine treatment.The plant DNA ploidy was analyzed by flow cytometry and chromosome set doubling plants(CSD)were identified based on the obvious different sharp peak.A tissue culture experiment with different Cd treated levels and a field trial with natural polluted mined soil were conducted to study the effects of chromosome doubling on plant biomass and Cd accumulation in shoots.The results suggested that S.alfredii is a mixoploid.Compared with the wild type plants(WT),CSD exhibited typical'gigas'characteristics in morphology including stem thickness,root hair production,number of leaves and size of stoma guard cell.Fresh weight and dry weight of CSD were increased to 1.62–2.03-fold and 2.26–3.25-fold of WT.And Cd content of CSD showed a17.49%–42.82%increase and 59%increase under tissue culture and field condition,accordingly.In addition,the TF and in BCF of CSD were 2.37-and 1.59-fold of WT,respectively.These results proved that it is feasible to promote phytoextraction efficiency of S.alfredii in Cd contaminated soils through chromosomal engineering,which provides a novel approach for hyperaccumulator application in phytoremediation.Ying Feng Qiong Wang Qian Meng Yongjun Liu Fengshan Pan Sha Luo Yingjie Wu Luyao Ma Xiaoe Yang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,12:4
11Epsilon-near-zero photonics:infinite potentials显示文摘With its unique and exclusive linear and nonlinear optical characteristics,epsilon-near-zero(ENZ)photonics has drawn a tremendous amount of attention in the recent decade in the fields of nanophotonics,nonlinear optics,plasmonics,light-matter interactions,material science,applied optical science,etc.The extraordinary optical properties,relatively high tuning flexibility,and CMOS compatibility of ENZ materials make them popular and competitive candidates for nanophotonic devices and on-chip integration in all-optical and electro-optical platforms.With exclusive features and high performance,ENZ photonics can play a big role in optical communications and optical data processing.In this review,we give a focused discussion on recent advances of the theoretical and experimental studies on ENZ photonics,especially in the regime of nonlinear ENZ nanophotonics and its applications.First,we overview the basics of the ENZ concepts,mechanisms,and nonlinear ENZ nanophotonics.Then the new advancements in theoretical and experimental optical physics are reviewed.For nanophotonic applications,the recent decades saw rapid developments in various kinds of different ENZ-based devices and systems,which are discussed and analyzed in detail.Finally,we give our perspectives on where future endeavors can be made.JIAYE WU ZE TAO XIE YANHUA SHA H.Y.FU QIAN LI 2021Photonics Research2021,9,8:4

13DDX3X regulates cell survival and cell cycle during mouse early embryonic development显示文摘DDX3X is a highly conserved DEAD-box RNA helicase that participates in RNA transcription,RNA splicing,and mRNA transport,translation,and nucleo-cytoplasmic transport.It is highly expressed in metaphaseⅡ(MⅡ)oocytes and is the predominant DDX3 variant in the ovary and embryo.However,whether it is important in mouse early embryo development remains unknown.In this study,we investigated the function of DDX3X in early embryogenesis by cytoplasmic microinjection with its siRNA in zygotes or single blastomeres of 2-cell embryos.Our results showed that knockdown of Ddx3x in zygote cytoplasm led to dramatically diminished blastocyst formation,reduced cell numbers,and an increase in the number of apoptotic cells in blastocysts.Meanwhile,there was an accumulation of p53 in RNAi blastocysts.In addition,the ratio of cell cycle arrest during 2-cell to 4-cell transition increased following microinjection of Ddx3x siRNA into single blastomeres of 2-cell embryos compared with control.These results suggest that Ddx3x is an essential gene associated with cell survival and cell cycle control in mouse early embryos,and thus plays key roles in normal embryo development.Qian Li Pan Zhang Chao Zhang Ying Wang Ru Wan Ye Yang Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Min Lin Zuomin Zhou Jiahao Sha 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,4:4

16Plasma apo CⅢ Levels in Relation to Inflammatory Traits and Metabolic Syndrome in Patients not Treated with Lipid-lowering Drugs Undergoing Coronary Angiography显示文摘Objective Assessment of the comprehensive relationship among apolipoprotein CIII(apoCⅢ) levels, inflammation, and metabolic disorders is rare. Methods A total of 1455 consecutive patients not treated with lipid-lowering drugs and undergoing coronary angiography were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. A mediation analysis was used to detect the underlying role of apoCⅢ in the association of inflammation with metabolic syndrome(MetS). Results Patients with MetS showed higher levels of apoCⅢ [95.1(73.1-131.4) vs. 81.7(58.6-112.4) μg/mL, P < 0.001] and inflammatory markers [high sensitivity C-reactive protein, 1.7(0.8-3.4) vs. 1.1(0.5-2.2) mg/L; white blood cell count,(6.48 ± 1.68) vs.(6.11 ± 1.67) × 10~9/L]. The levels of apoCⅢ and inflammatory markers increased with the number of metabolic risk components(all P < 0.001). Furthermore, apoCⅢ levels were associated with virtually all individual MetS risk factors and inflammatory markers(all P < 0.05). Importantly, the prevalence of MetS in each metabolic disorder rose as apoCⅢ levels increased(all P < 0.05). Mediation analysis showed that apoCⅢ partially mediated the effect of inflammation on MetS independently from triglycerides. 18Impact of Smoking Status on Lipoprotein Subfractions: Data from an Untreated Chinese Cohort显示文摘Objective Cigarette smoking is one of the established risk factors of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease,however,its impact on lipids is not completely understood,especially in the Chinese population.Therefore,this study evaluated the impact of smoking status(non,former,and current smoking) on the distribution of lipoprotein subfractions in untreated patients with angina-like chest pain.Methods A total of 877 patients were consecutively enrolled and divided into nonsmoking(n = 518),former smoking(n = 103),and current smoking(n = 256) groups.Both low-and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C and HDL-C) subfractions were measured using the Quantimetrix Lipoprint System.The distributions of lipoprotein subfractions were evaluated among the groups.Results Compared with nonsmoking subjects,the current smoking group had significantly lower large/medium HDL-C(both P < 0.001) concentration and large HDL subfraction percentage but higher small HDL-C and medium LDL-C concentrations as well as medium LDL subfraction percentage.Importantly,former smoking subjects showed elevated levels of large HDL-C concentration,large HDL particle percentage,and mean LDL particle size and attenuation in small HDL/LDL percentages and small LDL-C concentration,but these levels did not reach the optimal status compared with those of the non-smoking group(data not shown).Conclusion Smoking has an adverse impact on the lipoprotein subfractions,presented as lower large HDL particles besides higher small HDL and medium LDL particles,whereas smoking cessation could reverse these change to a certain degree.ZHAO Xi ZHANG Hui Wen ZHANG Yan LI Sha XU Rui Xia SUN Jing ZHU Cheng Gang WU Na Qiong GAO Ying GUO Yuan Lin LIU Geng DONG Qian LI Jian Jun 2017Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2017,30,4:2
19Preconcentration of Ultra-trace Cadmium with Nanometer-size TiO_2 Colloid and Determination by GFAAS with Slurry Sampling显示文摘A novel method of ultra-trace Cd(II) preconcentration with nanometer-size TiO2 colloid and determination by graphite furnace atomic adsorption spectrometry(GFAAS) with slurry sampling was first advanced in this paper. The adsorption efficiency of nanometer-size TiO2 colloid for ultra-trace Cd(II) could reach above 96% in a short time when the pH value was between 5 and 6. Other problems were also studied,such as adsorption capacity,nanometer-size TiO2 colloid dosage,effect of coexistent ions. The detection limit(3σ) and the relative standard deviation (R.S.D) of this method were 4.46?10-3 μg/L and 1.30%(n=7),respectively. 20中性植酸酶对鲫鱼生长及磷利用的影响(英文)显示文摘目的:比较研究在无机磷(磷酸二氢钙)添加不足时,添加不同剂量中性植酸酶对鲫鱼生长和磷利用的影响,为水产养殖更好地应用植酸酶提供依据并减少磷的排放,保护环境。创新点:试验采用的中性植酸酶能够耐受饲料加工温度,并从营养物质消化及磷利用等方面研究中性植酸酶对鲫鱼的影响,探究低磷日粮在水产养殖的应用。方法:384条鲫鱼((1.50±0.01)g)随机分为6组,分别饲喂对照组(未添加中性植酸酶)跟试验组(添加不同剂量中性植酸酶)日粮63天,比较3组间各项指标差异。结论:在以植物蛋白为主的日粮中,添加中性植酸酶能够促进植酸磷水解,提高鲫鱼对饲粮中磷、粗蛋白等营养物质的利用,促进钙、磷等矿物质在鲫鱼体中的沉积,降低粪磷排出量,促进鲫鱼生长。说明可以在鲫鱼日粮中添加中性植酸酶,减少无机磷的添加,降低粪磷排放,从而减轻环境污染。Xin-zheng NIE Sha CHEN Xiao-xu ZHANG Bin-yang DAI Li-chun QIAN 2017Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2017,18,10:2
