1Observation and research of deep underground multi-physical fields—Huainan–848 m deep experiment显示文摘Compared with the surface,the deep environment has the advantages of allowing“super-quiet and ultra-clean”-geophysical field observation with low vibration noise and little electromagnetic interference,which are conducive to the realization of long-term and high-precision observation of multi-physical fields,thus enabling the solution of a series of geoscience problems.In the Panyidong Coal Mine,where there are extensive underground tunnels at the depth of 848 m below sea level,we carried out the first deep-underground geophysical observations,including radioactivity,gravity,magnetic,magnetotelluric,background vibration and six-component seismic observations.We concluded from these measurements that(1)the background of deep subsurface gravity noise in the long-period frequency band less than 2 Hz is nearly two orders of magnitude weaker than that in the surface observation environment;(2)the underground electric field is obviously weaker than the surface electric field,and the relatively high frequency of the underground field,greater than 1 Hz,is more than two orders of magnitude weaker than that of the surface electric field;the east-west magnetic field underground is approximately the same as that at the surface;the relatively high-frequency north-south magnetic field underground,below 10 Hz,is at least one order of magnitude lower than that at the surface,showing that the underground has a clean electromagnetic environment;(3)in addition to the highfrequency and single-frequency noises introduced by underground human activities,the deep underground space has a significantly lower background vibration noise than the surface,which is very beneficial to the detection of weak earthquake and gravity signals;and(4)the underground roadway support system built with ferromagnetic material interferes the geomagnetic field.We also found that for deep observation in the“ultra-quiet and ultra-clean”environment,the existing geophysical equipment and observation technology have problems of poor adaptability and insufficient precision as well as data cleaning problems,such as the effective separation of the signal and noise of deep observation data.It is also urgent to interpret and comprehensively utilize these high-precision multi-physics observation data.Yun WANG Yaxin YANG Heping SUN Chengliang XIE Qisheng ZHANG Xiaoming CUI Chang CHEN Yongsheng HE Qiangqiang MIAO Chaomin MU Lianghui GUO Jiwen TENG 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,1:3

5Ultra-fast charge-discharge and high-energy storage performance realized in K_(0.5)Na_(0.5)NbO_(3)-Bi(Mn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))O_(3) ceramics显示文摘Lead-free relaxor ceramics(1−x)K_(0.5)Na_(0.5)NbO_(3)−xBi(Mn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))O_(3)((1−x)KNN-xBMN)with considerable charge-discharge characteristics and energy storage properties were prepared by a solid state method.Remarkable,a BMN doping level of 0.04,0.96KNN-0.04BMN ceramic obtained good energy storage performance with acceptable energy storage density Wrec of 1.826 J/cm^(3) and energy storage efficiencyηof 77.4%,as well as good frequency stability(1-500 Hz)and fatigue resistance(1-5000 cycles).Meanwhile,a satisfactory charge-discharge performance with power density PD~98.90 MW/cm^(3),discharge time t0.9<70 ns and temperature stability(30-180°C)was obtained in 0.96KNN-0.04BMN ceramic.The small grain size(~150 nm)and the high polarizability of Bi3+are directly related to its good energy storage capacity.This work proposes a feasible approach for lead-free KNN-based ceramics to achieve high-energy storage and ultra-fast charge-discharge performance as well as candidate materials for the application of advanced high-temperature pulse capacitors.Xinru Nie Yan He Qiangqiang Shi Yuqian Liang Lingling Wei Pengfei Liang Xiaolian Chao Guoxin Hu Zupei Yang 2023Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2023,13,1:0

8Sonic hedgehog signaling:Alternative splicing and pathogenic role in medulloblastoma显示文摘Alternative splicing(AS)produces the different mRNA splicing bodies,which are then translated into multiple protein isoforms and participate in various biological functions.With a deeper understanding of alternative splicing through the study of transcriptomes using high-throughput sequencing-based methods,the correlation between aberrant AS and diseases triggered a great concern,especially abnormal AS and cancer.Medulloblastoma(MB)is an intracranial tumor in children.Sonic hedgehog MB(SHH-MB)accounted for approximately 30%of MB,which is associated with the activation of SHH signaling.Growing evidence shows that aberrant AS is closely related to the tumorigenesis of MB.Here,we briefly introduced the AS and its mechanism.Next,we described canonical/noncanonical hedgehog signaling and its correlation with MB.The main description focused on AS of various regulators in canonical hedgehog signaling in MB.In addition,we also described AS of various regulators in noncanonical hedgehog signaling.Meanwhile,activated hedgehog signaling also induces AS in MB.Then,we pointed out that aberrant AS of hedgehog signaling is associated with different MB subgroups.Finally,we summarized the therapeutic applications of targeted AS in cancer treatment.In summary,further understanding of AS in SHH-MB could develop therapeutic targets for splicing factors which may be a novel therapeutic strategy.Meiyu Qu Qiangqiang He Jiahao Luo Tingyu Shen Ruibo Gao Yana Xu Chengyun Xu Muhammad Qasim Barkat Ling-Hui Zeng Ximei Wu 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,5:0
9Invasive Hemodynamic and Vasoreactivity Testing with Inhaled Iloprost in Children with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Associated with Congenital Heart Defects显示文摘Objective:Invasive hemodynamic evaluation and acute vasoreactivity testing are recommended in the diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension(PAH),but their clinical role in children with PAH associated with congenital heart defects(CHD)is unclear.This study aims to investigate acute hemodynamic responses to inhaled iloprost,and its role in prognosis in children with PAH-CHD.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 83 pediatric patients with PAH-CHD in whom invasive hemodynamics were evaluated before and after a single inhaled dose of iloprost at a single center between 2010 and 2022.Details of the CHD corrective operation,medical treatment,and outcome for each patient were obtained via medical records or telephone contact.A composite endpoint of all-cause death,admission for worsening heart failure during follow-up,and event-free survival was defined,and risk factors associated with this composite endpoint were analyzed.Results:The patient age was(11.3±4.6)years,and 60(72.3%)were female.Fifty-nine(71.1%)patients were diagnosed with Eisenmenger syndrome.After iloprost inhalation,mean pulmonary artery pressure decreased from(78.2±11.5)to(72.3±13.2)mmHg(P<0.001),and pulmonary vascular resistance index(PVRI)decreased from(18.0±7.9)to(14.5±8.1)WU·m^(2)(P<0.001).A total of 38(45.8%)patients had a positive response,defined as a PVRl decrease>25%with stable systemic pressure.Thirtyseven(44.6%)patients underwent a corrective CHD operation at a median of 24 d after hemodynamic evaluation.Nine patients died,and 15 met the composite endpoint during a follow-up period of 5.4(3.8,8.8)years.Five-year event-free survival estimates were 96.7%(95%confidence interval:90.3%-100%)in patients with a positive response,and 82.8%(95%confidence interval:71.7%-94.5%)in patients with a non-positive response(log-rank P=0.012).A positive PVRl response and higher pulmonary arterial oxygen saturation after iloprost inhalation,lower baseline brain natriuretic peptide,and PAH-targeted therapy at follow-up were significantly associated with a favorable clinical outcome.A positive acute vasoreactivity testing response and PAH-targeted therapy at follow-up were independent predictors of outcome in multivariate Cox analysis.conclusions:Acute inhalation of iloprost can lead to a significant decrease in hemodynamic parameters.Responsiveness to inhaled iloprost is associated with better outcomes and can be a valuable predictor of outcomes.Qiangqiang Li Yuan He Chen Zhang Hong Gu 2023Cardiology Discovery2023,3,4:0

11Microarrow sensor array with enhanced skin adhesion for transdermal continuous monitoring of glucose and reactive oxygen species显示文摘Conventional blood sampling for glucose detection is prone to cause pain and fails to continuously record glucose fluctuations in vivo.Continuous glucose monitoring based on implantable electrodes could induce pain and potential tissue inflammation,and the presence of reactive oxygen species(ROS)due to inflammationmay affect glucose detection.Microneedle technology is less invasive,yet microneedle adhesion with skin tissue is limited.In this work,we developed a microarrow sensor array(MASA),which provided enhanced skin surface adhesion and enabled simultaneous detection of glucose and H_(2)O_(2)(representative of ROS)in interstitial fluid in vivo.The microarrows fabricated via laser micromachining were modified with functional coating and integrated into a patch of a three-dimensional(3D)microneedle array.Due to the arrow tip mechanically interlocking with the tissue,the microarrow array could better adhere to the skin surface after penetration into skin.The MASA was demonstrated to provide continuous in vivo monitoring of glucose and H_(2)O_(2) concentrations,with the detection of H_(2)O_(2) providing a valuable reference for assessing the inflammation state.Finally,the MASA was integrated into a monitoring system using custom circuitry.This work provides a promising tool for the stable and reliable monitoring of blood glucose in diabetic patients.Xinshuo Huang Baoming Liang Shantao Zheng Feifei Wu Mengyi He Shuang Huang Jingbo Yang Qiangqiang Ouyang Fanmao Liu Jing Liu Hui-jiuan Chen Xi Xie 2024Bio-Design and Manufacturing2024,7,1:0
12Semi-implantable device based on multiplexed microfilament electrode cluster for continuous monitoring of physiological ions显示文摘Modern medicine is increasingly interested in advanced sensors to detect and analyze biochemical indicators.Ion sensors based on potentiometric methods are a promising platform for monitoring physiological ions in biological subjects.Current semi-implantable devices are mainly based on single-parameter detection.Miniaturized semi-implantable electrodes for multiparameter sensing have more restrictions on the electrode size due to biocompatibility considerations,but reducing the electrode surface area could potentially limit electrode sensitivity.This study developed a semi-implantable device system comprising a multiplexed microfilament electrode cluster(MMEC)and a printed circuit board for real-time monitoring of intra-tissue K^(+),Ca^(2+),and Na^(+)concentrations.The electrode surface area was less important for the potentiometric sensing mechanism,suggesting the feasibility of using a tiny fiber-like electrode for potentiometric sensing.The MMEC device exhibited a broad linear response(K^(+):2–32 mmol/L;Ca^(2+):0.5–4 mmol/L;Na^(+):10–160 mmol/L),high sensitivity(about 20–45 mV/decade),temporal stability(>2weeks),and good selectivity(>80%)for the above ions.In vitro detection and in vivo subcutaneous and brain experiment results showed that the MMEC system exhibits good multi-ion monitoring performance in several complex environments.This work provides a platform for the continuous real-time monitoring of ion fluctuations in different situations and has implications for developing smart sensors to monitor human health.Shuang Huang Shantao Zheng Mengyi He Chuanjie Yao Xinshuo Huang Zhengjie Liu Qiangqiang Ouyang Jing Liu Feifei Wu Hang Gao Xi Xie Hui-jiuan Chen 2024Bio-Design and Manufacturing2024,7,1:0
