Implications of the autophagy core gene variations on brain metastasis risk in non-small cell lung cancer treated with EGFR-TKI显示文摘Objective The brain is the main site of failure in cancer patients with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)mutations undergoing treatment. However, identifying patients who may develop brain metastases(BM)is difficult.Autophagy is critical for cancer initiation and progression. We hypothesized that genetic variants in autophagy core genes might contribute to BM risk of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)following treatment with EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKIs).Methods We systematically examined 16 potentially functional genetic polymorphisms in seven autophagy core genes among 105 TKI-treated NSCLC patients.Kaplan-Meier curves were plotted to assess the cumulative BM probability.Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses were utilized to calculate hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).We evaluated the potential associations of these genes with subsequent BM development. Results We found that ATG16L1:rs2241880,ATG10:rs10036653,rs3734114,and ATG3:rs7652377 are significantly associated with NSCLC treated with EGFR-TKIs(all P<0.05).BM developed more often in patients with ATG3 rs7652377 CC genotype(33%),ATG10 rs10036653 AA genotype(43%),ATG10:rs3734114 CT/CC genotype(46%),and ATG16L1 rs2241880 AA genotype(37%)compared to patients with AA genotypes at rs7652377(12%),AT/TT genotypes at rs10036653(16%),the TT genotype at rs3734114(13%),or AG/GG genotypes at rs2241880(17%).Conclusion These associations may be critical for understanding the role of autophagy in BM risk.Future prospective studies are needed to determine if prophylactic cranial irradiation(PCI)could offer a survival benefit in this group of patients. | Ye Yuan Hu Han Yu Jin Xiao Zhou Minxiao Yi Yang Tang Qianxia Li | 2020 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,5: | 5
Correlation between miR-564, TGF-β1, and radiation-induced lung injury显示文摘Objective Our study aimed to analyze the expression of miR-564 and TGF-β1 in cancer tissues and the serum of patients with radiation-induced lung injury, and to investigate the relationship between them and radiation-induced lung injury. Methods In situ hybridization and real-time fluorescence quantitative method were used to detect the expression of miR-564.Additionally,immunohistochemistry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)were performed to detect the expression of TGF-β1.Results The overall incidence of acute radiation pneumonia was 55.9%(100/179).The incidence of≥grade 2 radioactive pneumonia was 24.0%(43/179)and that of grade 1 was 31.8%(57/179).The expression of miR-564 in grade≥2 was slightly higher than that in patients without or with grade 1,but there was no statistical difference(P=0.86).The serum level and ratio of miR-564 in patients with grade≥2 were significantly higher than those without or with grade 1(P=0.005,P=0.025,respectively).The expression of TGF-β1 in grade≥2 was significantly higher than that of patients without or with grade 1(P=0.017).The serum levels of TGF-β1 in grade≥2 were significantly higher than those in patients without or with grade 1(P=0.038).Although the ratio of TGF-β1 in radiation pneumonia of grade≥2 was significantly higher than that of without or with grade 1,there was no significant difference(P=0.24).Moreover,patients with higher expression of miR-564 and lower expression of TGF-β1 had better prognosis. Conclusion MiR-564 and TGF-β1 are predictors of radiation-induced lung injury.Monitoring its changing trend can improve the accuracy of predicting radiation-induced lung injury. The levels and ratio of serum miR-564 and TGF-β1 in patients with radiation-induced lung injury are related to the severity of radiationinduced lung injury. | Yunzhang Ge Tao Xie Bin Yang Qianxia Li Qingrong Ren Xiaoyi Zhou Desheng Hu Zhongshu Tu | 2019 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2019,5,5: | 4
Targeting polarized phenotype of microglia via IL6/JAK2/ STAT3 signaling to reduce NSCLC brain metastasis显示文摘Tumor-associated macrophages have emerged as crucial factors for metastases.Microglia are indispensable components of the brain microenvironment and play vital roles in brain metastasis(BM).However, the underlying mechanism of how activated microglia promote brain metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)remains elusive. | Yu Jin Yalin Kang Minghuan Wang Bili Wu Beibei Su Han Yin Yang Tang Qianxia Li Wenjie Wei Qi Mei Guangyuan Hu Veronika Lukacs-Kornek Jian Li Kongming Wu Xianglin Yuan Wei Wang | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,3: | 3
Progress in the diagnosis and treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer显示文摘Lung cancer, being the most common cancer type, accounts for 13% of all newly diagnosed malignant tumors globally each year. Small cell lung cancer(SCLC) accounts for approximately 15% of newly diagnosed lung cancers each year, but its annual death toll accounts for 25% of that of lung cancer. We summarized relevant clinical studies to elaborate the epidemiology, pathological and clinical characteristics and the treatment status of small cell lung cancer. This paper first described the epidemiology and the pathological and clinical characteristics of SCLC and the systematic treatment of extensive-stage SCLC and then introduced the current targeted therapy and immunotherapy for SCLC to provide clinicians and patients with a more systematic, comprehensive, and beneficial treatment regimen. We expect that these studies can provide clinicians with a clear direction in molecularly targeted therapy or immunotherapy, so that a treatment approach with better antitumor effects and longer-lasting clinical benefits can be provided to the patients. | Fei Xu Xiaoli Ren Yuan Chen Qianxia Li Ruichao Li Yu Chen Shu Xia | 2019 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2019,5,1: | 3
Comparison of pencil beam and Monte Carlo calculations with ion chamber array measurements for patient-specific quality assurance显示文摘Objective:To determine under what conditions and criteria comparisons between calculations made with the current clinical treatment planning system(Syngo)and an in-house built TPS(TIMPS)would allow skipping of in-beam portal-specific measurements. Methods:Measurements were made with an array of 24 ion chambers in a water phantom for 227 proton and 313 carbon ion portals with and without a range shifter(RS).These measurements were compared with calculations performed with Syngo and TIMPS using metrics of average dose difference and Gamma index. Results:For proton portals without RS,if a Gamma comparison between TIMPS and Syngo passed using criteria of 90%of tested points being within 3%and 3 mm,then 74%of measurements would agree with both TIMPS and Syngo. For proton portals with RS,more than 80%of measurements would agree with both calculations using the same criteria. For carbon ion portals without RS,if a Gamma evaluation between TIMPS and Syngo passed with criteria of 90%of tested points being within 2%and 2 mm,85%of measurements would agree with both cal-culations.For carbon ion portals with RS,if a Gamma evaluation between TIMPS and Syngo passed with criteria of 90%of tested points being within 3%and 3 mm,60%of measurements would agree with both calculations. Conclusions:Both the pencil beam algorithm in Syngo and the FDC algorithm in TIMPS can provide accurate dose calculations in water for most clinical portals. For about 75%of portals, physicists can perform comparisons of calculations instead of phantom measurements to verify Syngo calculations thereby saving a large amount of beam time. There are some portals, however, such as for low-energy protons without RS and high-energy carbon ions, where agreement between the two calculations and measurements are not yet satisfactory to allow the elimination of all measurements. | Yu Deng Zhi Chen Qianxia Wang Pablo Yepes Zhuangming Shen Hongliang Chen Jie Li Michael F.Moyers | 2022 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2022,3,3: | 2

Implementation of Monte Carlo based PET verification of ion beam delivery into a TPS显示文摘Objective:To develop and implement an ion beam teletherapy verification system based upon simulations of induced radioactivity and comparison with patient positron emission tomography(PET)scans. Methods:A Monte Carlo algorithm was integrated into an in-house built treatment, information, management, and planning system(TIMPS■)to calculate distributions of positron emitters induced by ion beams. These distribu-tions are processed to simulate PET images taking into account positron diffusion, radioactive decay, biological washout, and detector blurring.Additional tools were developed to register simulated PET images with planning CT images and perform comparisons of measured and simulated PET images. Results:Production cross-sections were generated for various isotopes and materials.Treatment plans for several different body sites were used to verify the functioning and utility of the new tools for both proton and carbon ion beams. Conclusions:Several tools have been developed to simulate PET scans of patients irradiated with ion beams and compare the simulated images to measurements. After commissioning and implementation into the clinic, the appropriate sizes for margins that account for uncertainties may be investigated. | Pablo Yepes Zhuangming Shen Michael F.Moyers Qianxia Wang Hongliang Chen Jie Li Yongqiang Li James Lin | 2022 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2022,3,3: | 1
Verification of an independent dose calculation method for portal-specific QA of proton and carbon ion beams显示文摘Objective:To verify the accuracy of an independent dose calculation method,as incorporated into an in-house developed treatment planning system(TPS),for performing quality assurance of dose distributions delivered to a water phantom planned by a clinical TPS.Methods:A Monte Carlo based track repeating algorithm was incorporated into an in-house treatment planning system for proton and carbon ion beams.Calculations were performed in a flat water phantom for both a traditional pencil beam algorithm and a new Monte Carlo algorithm, and then compared to measurements made at multiple depths with a 2D ionization array for 44 patient portals. The comparisons utilized a Gamma analysis. Results:A total of 124 measurements were performed for proton and carbon ion patient portals.Using a small Gamma criteria of 2%/2 mm,an average of 93%and 97%of measurement points passed for each portal for pencil beam and Monte Carlo calculations, respectively. The passing rate was substantially higher for Monte Carlo calculations than for pencil beam calculations for portals that used a range shifter. Conclusions:The implemented independent method has been verified against measurements. The high passing rate with small tolerances leads to the possibility of reducing the number of required quality assurance measurements. | Michael F.Moyers Qianxia Wang Yu Deng Hongliang Chen Zhi Chen Xiaoli Liu Nicki Schlegel Jie Li Zhuangming Shen James Lin Pablo Yepes | 2022 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2022,3,3: | 1
BCC-ESM1 Model Datasets for the CMIP6 Aerosol Chemistry Model Intercomparison Project (AerChemMIP)显示文摘BCC-ESM1 is the first version of the Beijing Climate Center’s Earth System Model, and is participating in phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6).The Aerosol Chemistry Model Intercomparison Project(AerChemMIP)is the only CMIP6-endorsed MIP in which BCC-ESM1 is involved. All AerChemMIP experiments in priority 1 and seven experiments in priorities 2 and 3 have been conducted. The DECK(Diagnostic,Evaluation and Characterization of Klima)and CMIP historical simulations have also been run as the entry card of CMIP6.The AerChemMIP outputs from BCC-ESM1 have been widely used in recent atmospheric chemistry studies. To facilitate the use of the BCC-ESM1 datasets, this study describes the experiment settings and summarizes the model outputs in detail.Preliminary evaluations of BCC-ESM1 are also presented, revealing that:the climate sensitivities of BCC-ESM1 are well within the likely ranges suggested by IPCC AR5;the spatial structures of annual mean surface air temperature and precipitation can be reasonably captured, despite some common precipitation biases as in CMIP5 and CMIP6 models;a spurious cooling bias from the 1960s to 1990s is evident in BCC-ESM1,as in most other ESMs;and the mean states of surface sulfate concentrations can also be reasonably reproduced,as well as their temporal evolution at regional scales. These datasets have been archived on the Earth System Grid Federation(ESGF)node for atmospheric chemistry studies. | Jie ZHANG Tongwen WU Fang ZHANG Kalli FURTADO Xiaoge XIN Xueli SHI Jianglong LI Min CHU Li ZHANG Qianxia LIU Jinghui Yan Min WEI Qiang MA | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,2: | 1

Application of silver-based dihydric alcohol to the extraction of methyl linolenate with high extractability and stability replacing ionic liquids显示文摘A novel silver-based dihydric alcohol extractant was substituted for ionic liquids to enrich methyl linolenate(C18-3)from tallow seed oil methyl ester in this study. The interactions among dihydric alcohol,Ag(I)and C18-3 were explored by FT-IR spectroscopy. The effects of dihydric alcohol structure, carrier Ag(I)concentration, temperature and initial feed concentration on extraction yield and selectivity were reported. The good extraction performance was achieved by 1,4-butanediol containing AgBF4.The complexation of Ag(I)with C18-3 was dominant in extraction operation rather than physical partition.Furthermore,a multi-step reverse extraction method was proposed to obtain C18-3 product and regenerate the extractant.1-Hexene as the stripping phase can facilitate C18-3 reverse extraction. The content of C18-3 in the product was up to 93.36%,and the yield was 73.76%.This work opened a new route for the utilization of the dihydric alcohol properties to manipulate the carrier efficiency for extracting unsaturated fatty acid methyl esters at a lower cost. | Qianxia Chen Xianghong Lu Jianbing Ji | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,3: | 0
Study on the Toxicity of Acetochlor to Loaches显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the toxic effect of acetochlor in loaches. [Methods]Loaches were put into the acetochlor solution with concentrations of 0,0. 062 5,0. 125,0. 25,0. 5 and 1 μl/L,respectively. The effects on dismutase( SOD),peroxidase( POD),catalase( CAT) and glutathione( GSH) activity and malondialdehyde( MDA) content in the liver of loaches were analyzed after 12,24,48 and 72 h of exposure. [Results] The activity of SOD,POD,CAT and GSH increased with the stress time and concentration, reached their maximums at 48 h after acetochlor treatment, and then decreased. However,MDA content increased with the stress time and concentration. [Conclusions] Acetochlor had obvious oxidative stress on loaches, and the activity of SOD,POD,CAT and GSH showed an obvious induction-inhibition effect with the increase of acetochlor concentration and the extension of stress time. | Yan WANG Peng DONG Pei XU Yuxiang LIN Zexin CHEN Yihong HU Chenzhong JIN Yiding WANG Kaifa GUO Qianxia ZHU | 2020 | Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,3: | 0
Updated Simulation of Tropospheric Ozone and Its Radiative Forcing over the Globe and China Based on a Newly Developed Chemistry–Climate Model显示文摘This study evaluates the performance of a newly developed atmospheric chemistry–climate model,BCCAGCM_CUACE2.0(Beijing Climate Center Atmospheric General Circulation Model_China Meteorological Administration Unified Atmospheric Chemistry Environment)model, for determining past(2010)and future(2050)tropospheric ozone(O_(3))levels.The radiative forcing(RF),effective radiative forcing(ERF),and rapid adjustments(RAs,both atmospheric and cloud)due to changes in tropospheric O_(3)are then simulated by using the model. The results show that the model reproduces the tropospheric O_(3)distribution and the seasonal changes in O_(3)surface concentration in 2010 reasonably compared with site observations throughout China. The global annual mean burden of tropospheric O_(3)is simulated to have increased by 14.1 DU in 2010 relative to pre-industrial time, particularly in the Northern Hemisphere.Over the same period, tropospheric O_(3)burden has increased by 21.1 DU in China, with the largest increase occurring over Southeast China.Although the simulated tropospheric O_(3)burden exhibits a declining trend in global mean in the future,it increases over South Asia and Africa, according to the Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP)4.5 and 8.5 scenarios. The global annual mean ERF of tropospheric O_(3)is estimated to be 0.25 W m^(−2)in 1850−2010,and it is 0.50 W m^(−2)over China. The corresponding atmospheric and cloud RAs caused by the increase of tropospheric O_(3)are estimated to be 0.02 and 0.03 W m^(−2),respectively.Under the RCP2.6,RCP4.5,RCP6.0,and RCP8.5 scenarios, the annual mean tropospheric O_(3)ERFs are projected to be 0.29(0.24),0.18(0.32),0.23(0.32),and 0.25(0.01)W m^(−2)over the globe(China),respectively. | Qi AN Hua ZHANG Shuyun ZHAO Tijian WANG Qianxia LIU Zaizhi WANG Sunling GONG Bing XIE Yi LIU | 2022 | Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,4: | 0
Crystalline porous ionic salts assembled from polyoxometalates and cationic capsule for the selective photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of aromatic alcohols to aldehydes显示文摘Crystalline porous ionic salts(CPISs) represent a new type of porous materials constructed by electrostatic interaction, however, synthesis of CPISs bearing pre-designed functionality while exhibiting permanent porosity is still challenging. Herein we report the facile synthesis of a series of CPISs 1-3 built from photocatalytic-active polyoxometalate(POM) clusters and cationic Zr-based capsules, which showed open porous frameworks with BET surface area up to 33 m^(2)/g and high activity and selectivity for photodriven aerobic oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes. Compared with the pristine POM cluster {W10}, 1 can promote the reaction in much higher efficiency due to the concerted catalysis of preinstalled {W10} and Zr-based capsule together with open channels. This work highlights the advantage of CPISs as porous heterogeneous catalysts in organic transformation, and may shed light on the rational design of more delicate CPISs-derived functional materials. | Qianxia Gu Xiao-Li Zhao Min Meng Zhiyu Shao Qi Zheng Weimin Xuan | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,4: | 0
