12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Vortex genesis over the Bay of Bengal in spring and its role in the onset of the Asian Summer Monsoon显示文摘Physical processes associated with onset of the 1998 Asian summer monsoon were examined in detail using multi-source datasets. We demonstrated that strong ocean-atmosphere-land interaction in the northern Indian Ocean and tropical Asian area during spring is a fundamental factor that induces the genesis and development of a monsoon onset vortex over the Bay of Bengal (BOB), with the vortex in turn triggering onset of the Asian summer monsoon. In spring, strong surface sensible heating over India and the Indochina Peninsula is transferred to the atmosphere, forming prominent in situ cyclonic circulation, with anticyclonic circulations over the Arabian Sea and northern BOB where the ocean receives abundant solar radiation. The corresponding surface winds along the North Indian Ocean coastal areas cause the ocean to produce the in situ offshore currents and upwelling, resulting in sea surface temperature (SST) cooling. With precipitation on the Indochina Peninsula increasing from late April to early May, the offshore current disappears in the eastern BOB or develops into an onshore current, leading to SST increasing. A southwest-northeast oriented spring BOB warm pool with SST >31°C forms in a band from the southeastern Arabian Sea to the eastern BOB. In early May, the Somali cross-equatorial flow forms due to the meridional SST gradient between the two hemispheres, and surface sensible heat over the African land surface. The Somali flow overlaps in phase with the anticyclone over the northern Arabian Sea in the course of its inertial fluctuation along the equator. The convergent cold northerlies on the eastern side of the anticyclone cause the westerly in the inertial trough to increase rapidly, so that enhanced sensible heat is released from the sea surface into the atmosphere. The cyclonic vorticity forced by such sensible heating is superimposed on the inertial trough, leading to its further increase in vorticity strength. Since atmospheric inertial motion is destroyed, the flow deviates from the inertial track in an intensified cyclonic curvature, and then turns northward toward the warm pool in the northern BOB. It therefore converges with the easterly flow on the south side of the anticyclone over the northern BOB, forming a cyclonic circulation center east of Sri Lanka. Co-located with the cyclonic circulation is a generation of atmospheric potential energy, due to lower tropospheric heating by the warm ocean. Eventually the BOB monsoon onset vortex (MOV) is generated east of Sri Lanka. As the MOV migrates northward to the warm pool it develops quickly such that the zonal oriented subtropical high is split over the eastern BOB. 4Improved corrosion resistance and thermal stability of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets with holmium substitution显示文摘The effects of Ho substitution for Nd on the microstructure, corrosion resistance and thermal stability of the Nd-Fe-B magnets were investigated. The(Nd,Ho)-O phase was formed with increasing Ho substitution. The results of potentiodynamic polarization and highly accelerated stress test show improved corrosion resistance with increasing Ho substitution. The optimum mass loss 0.29 mg/cm^2 is achieved.Moreover, the average temperature coefficients for remanence and coercivity in the range of 25-150℃are both closer to zero, indicating improved thermal stability. 5A 2-year study on the effect of biochar on methane and nitrous oxide emissions in an intensive rice-wheat cropping system显示文摘The impacts of biochar addition with nitrogen fertilizer(Urea-N)on greenhouse gas(GHG)fluxes and grain yields are not comprehensively understood.Therefore,we designed a field experiment in an intensive rice-wheat cropping system located in the Taihu Lake region of China and measured CH4 and N_(2)O emissions for 2 consecutive years to examine the impacts of biochar combined with N-fertilizer on rice production and GHG flux.Three field experimental treatments were designed:(1)no N-fertilizer application(N0);(2)270 kg N ha^(−1) application(N270);and(3)270 kg N-fertilizer ha^(−1) plus 25 t ha^(−1) biochar application(N270+C).We found that,compared with urea application alone,biochar applied with Urea-N fertilizer increased N use efficiency(NUE)and resulted in more stable growth of rice yield.In addition,biochar addition increased CH4 emissions by 0.5-37.5%on average during the two consecutive rice-growing seasons,and decreased N_(2)O-N loss by~16.7%.During the first growing season,biochar addition did not significantly affect the global warming potential(GWPt)or the greenhouse gas intensity(GHGI)of rice production(p>0.05).By contrast,during the second rice-growing season,biochar application significantly increased GWPt and GHGI by 28.9%and 18.8%,respectively,mainly because of increased CH_(4) emissions.Our results suggest that biochar amendment could improve grain yields and NUE,and increased soil GWPt,resulting in a higher potential environmental cost,but that biochar additions enhance exogenous carbon sequestration by the soil,which could offset the increases in GHG emissions.Shuwei Wang Shutan Ma Jun Shan Yongqiu Xia Jinghui Lin Xiaoyuan Yan 2019Biochar2019,1,2:4
6Highly crystalline ReSe2 atomic layers synthesized by chemical vapor transport显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D) anisotropic rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) has attracted lots ofattention due to its promising applications in electronics and optoelectronics. However,controlled synthesis of high quality ultrathin ReSe2 remains as a challenge.Here we developed an approach for synthesizing high quality 2D ReSe2 flakes witha thickness down to monolayer by chemical vapor transport (CVT) through carefullytuning the growth kinetics. The atomic structures and anisotropy of theobtained ReSe2 flakes were intensively characterized with scanning transmissionelectron microscope and angle-resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy. Fieldeffecttransistors fabricated on the CVT-grown ReSe2 flakes showed n-typesemiconducting behavior with an on/off current ratio of 105 and a mobility up to5 cm2 V−1 s−1, which is comparable to mechanically exfoliated flakes and isobvious higher than the samples synthesized with other approaches. 7Filter paper-templated preparation of ZnO thin films and examination of their gas-sensing properties显示文摘ZnO thin films prepared by using quantitative filter paper as a template and Zn(CH3CO2) 2·2H2O ethanol precursor solution were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) . The effects of sample calcination temperature,precursor concentration and filter paper types were studied,and the growth process was investigated by infra-red(IR) spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis/differential thermal analysis(TGA/DTA) . The results show that samples soaked in a 1.5 mol/L Zn(CH3CO2) 2·2H2O ethanol solution and calcined at 600 °C yield ZnO films of uniform particle size,approx-imately 30,40 and 50 nm,for fast-,medium-and slow-speed filter papers,respectively. 9Expression of multidrug resistance 1 gene and C3435T genetic polymorphism in peripheral blood of patients with intractable epilepsy显示文摘BACKGROUND:Increased expression of multidrug resistance 1 (MDR1) mRNA in peripheral blood of pa-tients with intractable epilepsy is not due to epilepsy drugs,but epilepsy behavior. Monitoring MDR1 ex-pression in peripheral blood is a target for MDR1 gene evaluation. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of antiepileptic drugs and seizures on MDR expression in intrac-table epilepsy,and to analyze the genetic polymorphisms of C3435T in the MDR1 gene. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: Factorial designs and comparative observations at the experimental cen-ter of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Medical College,Qingdao University between October 2003 and October 2004. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 120 subjects were recruited from the epilepsy clinical department of the Affili-ated Hospital of Qingdao Medical College. Four groups (n=30) were classified according to statistical fac-torial design: intractable epilepsy,treatment response,no treatment,and normal control groups. METHODS: One-step semi-quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction technology was used to test expressions of the MDR1 gene in 120 subjects. C3435T polymorphisms in intractable epilepsy group and normal control groups were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Expression of MDR1 mRNA in the four groups,and C3435T genetic polymorphisms in intractable epilepsy and normal control groups. RESULTS: MDR1 gene expression was increased in the intractable epilepsy group,due to the factor sei-zures,but not the antiepileptic drugs. However,the interaction between the two factors was not statistically significant. Of the 30 subjects in the intractable epilepsy group,the following genotypes were exhibited: 3 (10%) C/C genotype,9 (30%) C/T genotype,and 18 (60%) T/T genotype at the site of C3435T,while 4 (13%),10 (33%),and 16 (53%) subjects were determined to express these genotypes in the normal control group,respectively. C and T allele frequency were 25% and 75% in the intractable epilepsy group,and 30% and 70% in the normal control group,respectively. However,there was no statistical difference between the groups. CONCLUSION: Results demonstrated that seizures,not antiepileptic drugs,induced MDR1 gene expres-sion in intractable epilepsy. 20Investigating the ENSO prediction skills of the Beijing Climate Center climate prediction system version 2显示文摘The El Niño-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)ensemble prediction skills of the Beijing Climate Center(BCC)climate prediction system version 2(BCC-CPS2)are examined for the period from 1991 to 2018.The upper-limit ENSO predictability of this system is quantified by measuring its“potential”predictability using information-based metrics,whereas the actual prediction skill is evaluated using deterministic and probabilistic skill measures.Results show that:(1)In general,the current operational BCC model achieves an effective 10-month lead predictability for ENSO.Moreover,prediction skills are up to 10–11 months for the warm and cold ENSO phases,while the normal phase has a prediction skill of just 6 months.(2)Similar to previous results of the intermediate coupled models,the relative entropy(RE)with a dominating ENSO signal component can more effectively quantify correlation-based prediction skills compared to the predictive information(PI)and the predictive power(PP).(3)An evaluation of the signal-dependent feature of the prediction skill scores suggests the relationship between the“Spring predictability barrier(SPB)”of ENSO prediction and the weak ENSO signal phase during boreal spring and early summer.Yanjie Cheng Youmin Tang Tongwen Wu Xiaoge Xin Xiangwen Liu Jianglong Li Xiaoyun Liang Qiaoping Li Junchen Yao Jinghui Yan 2022Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,5:0
