2Blockchain-Empowered Dynamic Spectrum Management for Space-Air-Ground Integrated Network显示文摘Space-air-ground integrated network is capable of providing seamless and ubiquitous services to cater for the increasing wireless communication demands of emerging applications. However, how to efficiently manage the heterogeneous resources and protect the privacy of connected devices is a very challenging issue, especially under the highly dynamic network topology and multiple trustless network operators. In this paper, we investigate blockchain-empowered dynamic spectrum management by reaping the advantages of blockchain and software defined network(SDN), where operators are incentive to share their resources in a common resourced pool. We first propose a blockchain enabled spectrum management framework for space-air-ground integrated network, with inter-slice spectrum sharing and intra-slice spectrum allocation. Specifically, the inter-slice spectrum sharing is realized through a consortium blockchain formed by the upper-tier SDN controllers, and then a graph coloring based channel assignment algorithm is proposed to manage the intra-slice spectrum assignment. A bilateral confirmation protocol and a consensus mechanism are also proposed for the consortium blockchain. The simulation results prove that our proposed consensus algorithm takes less time than practical Byzantine fault tolerance algorithm to reach a consensus, and the proposed channel assignment algorithm significantly improves the spectrum utilization and outperforms the baseline algorithm in both simulation and real-world scenarios.LI Zuguang WANG Wei GUO Jia ZHU Youwen HAN Lu WU Qihui 2022Chinese Journal of Electronics2022,31,3:0
3Short-term forecasts and long-term mitigation evaluations for the COVID-19 epidemic in Hubei Province,China显示文摘As an emerging infectious disease,the 2019 coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has developed into a global pandemic.During the initial spreading of the virus in China,we demonstrated the ensemble Kalman filter performed well as a short-term predictor of the daily cases reported in Wuhan City.Second,we used an individual-level network-based model to reconstruct the epidemic dynamics in Hubei Province and examine the effectiveness of non-pharmaceutical interventions on the epidemic spreading with various scenarios.Our simulation results show that without continued control measures,the epidemic in Hubei Province could have become persistent.Only by continuing to decrease the infection rate through 1)protective measures and 2)social distancing can the actual epidemic trajectory that happened in Hubei Province be reconstructed in simulation.Finally,we simulate the COVID-19 transmission with non-Markovian processes and show how these models produce different epidemic trajectories,compared to those obtained with Markov processes.Since recent studies show that COVID-19 epidemiological parameters do not follow exponential distributions leading to Markov processes,future works need to focus on non-Markovian models to better capture the COVID-19 spreading trajectories.In addition,shortening the infectious period via early case identification and isolation can slow the epidemic spreading significantly.Qihui Yang Chunlin Yi Aram Vajdi Lee W.Cohnstaedt Hongyu Wu Xiaolong Guo Caterina M.Scoglio 2020Infectious Disease Modelling2020,5,1:0
4Mako:A Graph-based Pattern Growth Approach to Detect Complex Structural Variants显示文摘Complex structural variants(CSVs) are genomic alterations that have more than two breakpoints and are considered as the simultaneous occurrence of simple structural variants.However,detecting the compounded mutational signals of CSVs is challenging through a commonly used model-match strategy.As a result,there has been limited progress for CSV discovery compared with simple structural variants.Here,we systematically analyzed the multi-breakpoint connection feature of CSVs,and proposed Mako,utilizing a bottom-up guided model-free strategy,to detect CSVs from paired-end short-read sequencing.Specifically,we implemented a graph-based pattern growth approach,where the graph depicts potential breakpoint connections,and pattern growth enables CSV detection without pre-defined models.Comprehensive evaluations on both simulated and real datasets revealed that Mako outperformed other algorithms.Notably,validation rates of CSVs on real data based on experimental and computational validations as well as manual inspections are around 70%,where the medians of experimental and computational breakpoint shift are 13 bp and 26 bp,respectively.Moreover,the Mako CSV subgraph effectively characterized the breakpoint connections of a CSV event and uncovered a total of 15 CSV types,including two novel types of adjacent segment swap and tandem dispersed duplication.Further analysis of these CSVs also revealed the impact of sequence homology on the formation of CSVs.Mako is publicly available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asvouk56qv5px66ok9.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/xjtu-omics/Mako.Jiadong Lin Xiaofei Yang Walter Kosters Tun Xu Yanyan Jia Songbo Wang Qihui Zhu Mallory Ryan Li Guo Chengsheng Zhang The Human Genome Structural Variation Consortium Charles Lee Scott E.Devine Evan E.Eichler Kai Ye 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,1:0
5Uncovering potential distinctive acoustic features of healing music显示文摘S Background Music therapy is a promising complementary intervention for addressing various mental health conditions.Despite evidence of the beneficial effects of music,the acoustic features that make music effective in therapeutic contexts remain elusive.Aims This study aimed to identify and validate distinctive acoustic features of healing music.Methods We constructed a healing music dataset(HMD)based on nominations from related professionals and extracted 370 acoustic features.Healing-distinctive acoustic features were identified as those that were(1)independent from genre within the HMD,(2)significantly different from music pieces in a classical music dataset(CMD)and(3)similar to pieces in a five-element music dataset(FEMD).We validated the identified features by comparing jazz pieces in the HMD with a jazz music dataset(JMD).We also examined the emotional properties of the features in a Chinese affective music system(CAMS).Results The HMD comprised 165 pieces.Among all the acoustic features,74.59%shared commonalities across genres,and 26.22%significantly differed between the HMD classical pieces and the CMD.The equivalence test showed that the HMD and FEMD did not differ significantly in 9.46%of the features.The potential healing-distinctive acoustic features were identified as the standard deviation of the roughness,mean and period entropy of the third coefficient of the mel-frequency cepstral coefficients.In a three-dimensional space defined by these features,HMD's jazz pieces could be distinguished from those of the JMD.These three features could significantly predict both subjective valence and arousal ratings in the CAMS.Conclusions The distinctive acoustic features of healing music that have been identified and validated in this study have implications for the development of artificial intelligence models for identifying therapeutic music,particularly in contexts where access to professional expertise may be limited.This study contributes to the growing body of research exploring the potential of digital technologies for healthcare interventions.Yue Ding Jiaqi Jing Qihui Guo Jiajia Zhou Xinyao Cheng Xiaoya Chen Lihui Wang Yingying Tang Qing Fan 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,6:0
