| 1 | Crystalline behaviors and phase transition during the manufacture of fine denier PA6 fibers显示文摘Recently we have successfully produced fine denier PA6 fibers by using additives containing lanthanide compounds.Meanwhile,crystallization and phase transition of PA6 fibers during spinning and drawing processes were investigated.During the spinning process,β phase crystal could be obtained in as-spun PA6 fibers which were produced with relatively high melt draw ratio,while γ phase crystal predominated when the melt draw ratio was relatively low.β phase crystal,whose behaviors are similar with those of γ phase by FT-IR and XRD characterization,could be transformed to α form easily when PA6 fibers are immersed in boiling water.However,γ phase crystal of PA6 remains unchanged in boiling water.Thus,β and γ phase crystals of PA6 can be differentiated by the crystalline behaviors of PA6 fibers after treatment in boiling water.Further experiments demonstrate that the β phase can also be produced during a drawing process where a phase transformation from γ to α occurs.In other words,β phase may act as an intermediate state during the phase transformation. | ZHANG ChengFeng LIU YuHai LIU ShaoXuan LI HuiZhen HUANG Kun PAN QingHua HUA XiaoHui HAO ChaoWei MA QingFang LV ChangYou LI WeiHong YANG ZhanLan ZHAO Ying WANG DuJin LAI GuoQiao JIANG JianXiong XU YiZhuang WU JinGuang | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,11: | 4 |

| 6 | Study on Crustal Structure in Haiyuan Strong Earthquake Region显示文摘The crust/upper-mantle velocity structure and deep tectonic features are obtained in Haiyuan M = 8. 5 earthquake region from data processing of Xiji-Zhongwei deep seismic sounding (DSS) profile. The result shows that there is a great difference between the velocity structures on the two sides of the epicenter. The crust consists of alternative high and low velocity layers on the southern side while on the northern side it consists of a series of layers with positive velocity gradient. | 7 | Exploration and Study on Deep Crust Structural Characteristics in the Jiashi-Artux Seismic Region显示文摘The data from two deep seismic sounding profiles was processed and studied comprehensively. The results show that crust_mantle structures in the investigated region obviously display layered characteristics and velocity structures and tectonic features have larger distinction in different geological structure blocks. The boundary interface C between the upper and lower crust and Moho fluctuate greatly. The shallowest depths of C (30 0km) and Moho (45 5km) under Jiashi deepen sharply from Jiashi to the western Kunlun mountain areas, where the depths of C and Moho are 44 0km and 70 0km, respectively. The higher velocity structures in the Tarim massif determine its relatively “stable” characteristics in crust tectonics. | 9 | The Crust-mantle Structure and Seismic Risk in Tangyin Graben and Its Adjacent Area显示文摘1-D and 2-D calculation and interpretation are carried out with the DSS data from the western section of Heze-Changzhi profile and the southern section of Zhengzhou-Jinan profile. 2-D velocity structure is determined in Tangyin graben and its adjacent area. The result shows that velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle is obviously different in vertical and lateral directions. Crustal thickness varies apparently in this area, and there are local low velocity blocks in the interior crust. The swelling M-discontinuity corresponds to Tangyin graben and Moho depth at the highest swelling position is 31 km. Toward the east, its depth gradually increases to 32 km in Xunxian swelling; toward the west, M-discontinuity becomes a steep zone at the piedmont uplift of Taihang Mountain and reaches 40 km at depth near Changzhi. | 10 | Identification and analysis of a minority fraction in a U87 cell line Do side-population cells represent bona fide stem cell-like cancer cells?显示文摘BACKGROUND:Overwhelming evidence suggests that tumor bulks are comprised of differentiated tumor cells and cancer stem cells(CSCs).The stem cell-like side-population(SP) cells account for a minor fraction of the total tumor cells,yet are apparently the cells capable of tumor initiation,growth, maintenance,and recurrence. OBJECTIVE:To identify potential stem cell-like cancer cells in a U87 human brain glioma cell line on the basis of dye efflux,clone formation,and multi-drug resistance capacity. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The cellular and molecular biology experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Shanghai Institute of Hematology and Laboratory of Shanghai Institute of Endocrinology in Ruijin Hospital;in vivo contrast observational animal trial was performed at Experimental Animal Center,School of Medicine,Shanghai Jiao Tong University from June 2007 to May 2008. MATERIALS:The U87 cell line was provided by the Shanghai Institute of Cancer Research, Chinese Academy of Science;DMEM/F12(1:1) and fetal bovine serum were purchased from Gibco, Invitrogen,USA;human recombinant basic fibroblast growth factors were purchased from BD Bioscience,USA;Hoechst 33342,Verapamil,and methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium were purchased from Sigma,USA;phycoerythrin-labeled anti-human-CD133 was purchased from Milteny Biotec, Germany;SYBR(?) PrimeScript^(TM) RT-PCR kit was purchased from TaKaRa Biotechnology,Dalian, China. METHODS:Monolayer cultured cells were harvested by 0.25%Trypsin-EDTA and suspended at a 1×10~6/mL dilution in PBS containing 2%FBS,and were stained with Hoechst 33342 dye,either alone or in combination with Verapamil.Following fluorescence-activated cell sorting,SP and non-SP subsets were cultivated with serum-containing(DMEM plus 10%fetal bovine serum) or serum-free culture medium[DMEM/F12(1:1) + 1×B27 supplement + 10 ng/mL basic fibroblast growth factors + 1×L-glutamine]to determine growth characteristics in vitro.Finally,single free U87 cells and subsets(SP or non-SP cells) were subcutaneously injected into the backs of 5-week-old nude mice for in vivo tumorigenicity. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Cell morphology and clonogenicity were observed under inverted microscope;SP phenotype and fluorescent antibody labeling were analyzed by MoFlo^(TM) flow cytometry;ABC transporter mRNA expression was evaluated by semi-quantitative real-time RT-PCR;efflux capacity for anti-neoplastic drugs from the U87 cell line and subsets was measured with the MTT assay,then detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay at a wavelength of 490 nm;in vivo tumorigenicity in immunodeficient nude mice was evaluated by diameter size. RESULTS:During in vitro passages,human U87 cells maintained a stable SP fraction profile and exhibited the ability to form neurosphere-like clones.SP cell proliferation decreased compared with non-treated U87 cells.CD133 expression was reduced in the SP and non-SP cells.Freshly sorted SP fractions expressed higher levels of ABC drug transporter genes,and exhibited increased potential for cytotoxic drug resistance.The in vivo malignancy of U87 cells was largely dependent on non-SP cells in nude mice,and tumors that formed from the non-SP fraction developed faster and larger compared with tumors from the SP fraction. | 12 | Three-Dimensional M-Shaped Resection for Nasal Alar Hypertrophy in Asian Patients显示文摘Background Nasal alarplasty is an important component of esthetic rhinoplasty in Asians.The two main surgical techniques that correct alar hypertrophy by reducing the height or length often leave external scars and are associated with a high relapse rate.Methods We developed a new technique,called three-dimensional(3D)M-shaped resection,which corrects both the nasal alar height and length and simultaneously minimizes external scarring.We performed this procedure from January 2013 to September 2016 in 49 consecutive female patients diagnosed with saddle nose and nasal alar hypertrophy.Their mean age was 28.6(range,18–40)years.All patients had previously undergone simple rhinoplasty.Nasal alar length and height,nostril length and width,and maximal nose width were analyzed preoperatively and postoperatively from photographs.Results After a mean of 9(range,3–24)months of follow-up,surgery was considered successful in 46 women(94%)with good cosmetic effects.In three patients,nasal alar hypertrophy recurred(6 months postoperatively).There were no early complications such as hematomas,infections,skin or mucosal necrosis,or wound dehiscence.The mean reductions postoperatively were 1.7 mm and 0.9 mm for nasal alar length and height,respectively,1.6 mm for both nostril length and width,and 3.5 mm for nose width.Conclusion The 3D M-shaped resection for nasal alar hypertrophy effectively reduced hypertrophy in 94%of patients for up to 24 months,producing minimal external scars and good cosmetic effects.It is a simple and convenient technique that is an effective and safe option for nasal alarplasty. | Yiqing QIU Qingfang ZHAO Zhixiong CHEN Yichen SHEN Mengmeng LUO Qiaoyun QIU Jinghong XU | 2021 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2021,3,1: | 0 |
