| 2 | Analysis and construction status of SG-Ⅱ 5PW laser facility显示文摘We present a recent progress of the SG-II 5 PW facility, which designed a multi-petawatt ultrashort pulse laser based on optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification(OPCPA). The prior two optical parametric amplifiers have been accomplished and chirped pulses with an energy of 49.7 J and a full-width-at-half-maximum(FWHM) spectrum bandwidth of 85 nm have been achieved. In the PW-scale optical parametric amplification(OPA), with the pump pulse that has an energy of 118 J from the second harmonic generation of the SG-II 7 th beam, the pump-to-signal conversion efficiency is up to 41.9%, which to the best of our knowledge is the highest among all of the reported values for OPCPA systems. The compressed pulse is higher than 37 J in 21 fs(1.76 PW), and the focal spot is ~10 μm after the closed-loop corrections by the adaptive optics. Limited by the repetition of the pump laser, the SG-II 5 PW facility operates one shot per hour. | 3 | Systematic study of spatiotemporal influences on temporal contrast in the focal region in large-aperture broadband ultrashort petawatt lasers显示文摘Temporal contrast is one of the crucial physical determinants which guarantee the successful performance of laser–matter interaction experiments. We generally reviewed the influences on the temporal contrast in three categories of noises based on the requirement by the physical mechanisms. The spatiotemporal influences on temporal contrast at the focal region of the chromatic aberration and propagation time difference introduced by large-aperture broadband spatial filters, which were spatiotemporally coupled with compression and focusing, were calculated and discussed with a practical case in SG-Ⅱ5 PW ultrashort petawatt laser. | 8 | A review on the transformation of birnessite in the environment:Implication for the stabilization of heavy metals显示文摘Birnessite is ubiquitous in the natural environment where heavy metals are retained and easily transformed.The surface properties and structure of birnessite change with the changes in external environmental conditions,which also affects the fate of heavy metals.Clarifying the effect and mechanism of the birnessite phase transition process on heavy metals is the key to taking effective measures to prevent and control heavy metal pollution.Therefore,the four transformation pathways of birnessite are summarized first in this review.Second,the relationship between transformation pathways and environmental conditions is proposed.These relevant environmental conditions include abiotic(e.g.,co-existing ions,pH,oxygen pressure,temperature,electric field,light,aging,pressure)and biotic factors(e.g.,microorganisms,biomolecules).The phase transformation is achieved by the key intermediate of Mn(Ⅲ)through interlayer-condensation,folding,neutralizationdisproportionation,and dissolution-recrystallization mechanisms.The AOS(average oxidation state)of Mn and interlayer spacing are closely correlated with the phase transformation of birnessite.Last but not least,the mechanisms of heavy metals immobilization in the transformation process of birnessite are summed up.They involve isomorphous substitution,redox,complexation,hydration/dehydration,etc.The transformation of birnessite and its implication on heavy metals will be helpful for understanding and predicting the behavior of heavy metals and the crucial phase of manganese oxides/hydroxides in natural and engineered environments. | Miao Shi Qingzhu Li Qingwei Wang Xuelei Yan Bensheng Li Linhai Feng Chao Wu Rongrong Qiu Hongkai Zhang Zhihui Yang Weichun Yang Qi Liao Liyuan Chai | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024，，5： | 0 |

| 10 | Independent and continuous third-order dispersion compensation using a pair of prisms显示文摘The dispersion of a pair of prisms is analyzed by means of a ray-tracing method operating at other than tip-to-tip propagation of the prisms, taking into consideration the limited spectral bandwidth. The variations of the group delay dispersion and the third-order dispersion for a pair of prisms are calculated with respect to the incident position and the separation between the prisms. The pair of prisms can provide a wide range of independent and continuous third-order dispersion compensation. The effect of residual third-order dispersion on the pulse contrast ratio and pulse duration is also calculated. The residual third-order dispersion not only worsens the pulse contrast ratio, but also increases the pulse duration to the hundreds of femtosecond range for a tens of femtosecond pulse, even when the residual thirdorder dispersion is small. | 12 | Ex utero intrapartum therapy in infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia:a propensity score matching analysis显示文摘Objective Previous studies have shown that ex utero intrapartum therapy(EXIT)is safe and feasible for newborns with congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH).This study reports our experience with EXIT in fetuses with CDH in an attempt to explore the efficacy of EXIT on the survival rate of this population.Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 116 children with CDH was conducted.The children were assigned to EXIT and non-EXIT groups.Propensity score matching(PSM)toward clinical data was performed,and the clinical characteristics and outcomes were compared.Taking survival at discharge as the main outcome,logistic regression analysis was carried out to explore the efficacy of EXIT on survival.Results During the study period,30 of 116 children received EXIT.After PSM,the survival rates of the EXIT group and the non-EXIT group were 82.76%(24/29)and 48.28%(14/29),respectively(p=0.006).EXIT(OR=0.083,95%CI=0.013to 0.525,p=0.008),liver herniation(OR=16.955,95%CI=2.342 to 122.767,p=0.005),and gestational age at diagnosis(OR=0.662,95%CI=0.497 to 0.881,p=0.005)were independent mortality-related risk factors of all children with CDH.Ninety-nine of 116 children underwent surgery.After PSM,the postoperative survival rates of the EXIT group and non-EXIT group were 84.6%(22/26)and 76.9%(20/26),respectively(p=0.754).Liver herniation(OR=10.451,95%CI=1.641 to 66.544,p=0.013)and gestational age at diagnosis(OR=0.736,95%CI=0.577 to 0.938,p=0.013)were independent mortality-related risk factors of children after surgery.Conclusion EXIT can be performed safely for selected prenatally diagnosed CDH neonates with potentially better survival and does not cause more maternal complications compared with traditional cesarean section. | Yunlong Zhao Ying Wang Chao Liu Yulin Jiang Yandong Wei Hua Meng Shan Jian Xiting Zhu Lijian Pei Xiaochen Bai Feng Feng Yan Lv Xiya Zhou Qingwei Qi Jingna Li Lishuang Ma | 2022 | World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2022，5，4： | 0 |
