| 1 | Efficacy and safety of metformin and sitagliptin based triple antihyperglycemic therapy(STRATEGY):a multicenter,randomized,controlled,non-inferiority clinical trial显示文摘Despite the current guideline's recommendation of a timely stepwise intensification therapy,the 'clinical inertia',termed as the delayed treatment intensification,commonly exists in the real world,which may be partly due to the relatively little substantial evidence and no clear consensus regarding the efficacy and safety of triple oral agents in patients inadequately controlled with dual therapy.In this clinical trial performed in 237 centers in China,5,535 type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled by previous therapies were treated with a stable metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy for 20 weeks.The patients who did not reach the glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) goal were then further randomized into glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose group for an additional 24-week triple therapy.A mean HbAlc reduction of 0.85%was observed when sitagliptin was added to the patients inadequately controlled with metformin in 16 weeks.Further HbAlc reductions in the 24-week triple therapy stage were 0.65%in glimepiride group,0.70%in gliclazide group,0.61%in repaglinide group,and 0.45%in acarbose group.The non-inferiority criterion for primary hypotheses was met for gliclazide and repaglinide,but not for acarbose,compared with glimepiride,when added to metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy.The incidences of adverse events(AEs) were 29.2%in the dual therapy stage and30.3%in the triple therapy stage.Metformin/sitagliptin as baseline therapy,with the addition of a third oral antihyperglycemic agent,including glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose,was effective,safe and well-tolerated for achieving an HbAlc<7.0%goal in type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled with previous therapies.The timely augmentation of up to three oral antihyperglycemic agents is valid and of important clinical benefit to prevent patients from exposure to unnecessarily prolonged hyperglycemia. | Wen Xu Yiming Mu Jiajun Zhao Dalong Zhu Qiuhe Ji Zhiguang Zhou Bin Yao Anhua Mao Samuel S.Engel Bin Zhao Yan Bi Longyi Zeng Xingwu Ran Juming Lu Linong Ji Wenying Yang Weiping Jia Jianping Weng | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017，60，3： | 19 |

| 3 | New radiocarbon and archaeobotanical evidence reveal the timing and route of southward dispersal of rice farming in south China显示文摘The origins and spreads of rice agriculture have been enduring topics, yet the timing and southward dispersal from the Yangtze River Basin have been difficult to trace, due to the scarcity of archaeobotanical data, especially systematic macro-plant remains examination, combined with the poor preservation in the humid climate and acidic soils of China's southern provinces.Here, we report new radiocarbon dating and preserved rice phytolith evidence, derived from three Late Neolithic archaeological sites in south China, dated about 5,000–4,100 cal a BP.Our results demonstrate that rice farming had spread southward through the mountainous regions of Wuyi and Nanling, then entered the areas of Western Fujian and North Guangdong by 5,000 cal a BP, followed by continued expansion into coastal areas of East China Sea and South China Sea, also crossing the Taiwan Strait, around 4,500–4,000 cal a BP.The North River,East River, Min River, and possibly other river systems likely were influential as pathways or conduits. | Xiaoyan Yang Qiuhe Chen Yongchao Ma Zhao Li Hsiao-chun Hung Qianglu Zhang Zhiwei Jin Suoqiang Liu Zhenyu Zhou Xianguo Fu | 2018 | Science Bulletin2018，63，22： | 9 |
| 4 | Heterojunction-Type Photocatalytic System Based on Inorganic Halide Perovskite CsPbBr3显示文摘of main observation and conclusion The heterojunction-type structure has shown significant merits in tuning the optical properties and carrier physics.Inspired by the excellent absorption capability of halide perovskite materials for visible light,a series of CsPbBr3/TiO2 heterojunction-type photocatalysts with various all-inorganic-perovskite/TiO2 ratios are successfully fabricated by the ligand-assisted reprecipitation(LARP)method.The heterojunction structure extends the light absorption of TiO2 with good chemical and structural stability.A Pb-O interaction at the CsPbBr3/TiO2 interface is observed by the XPS and confirmed by the TRPL showing improved interface carrier transport and stability.The heterojunction-type catalyst shows drastically enhanced photocatalytic activity towards the direct oxidation of toluene with 02 molecule,as an important reaction for organic chemical synthesis.The optimized sample shows an activity of 2356μmol·g^-1·h^-1 at 75℃,4 times of that of the naked CsPbBr3 nanocrystals,and 3 times of that of the bare TiO2.Based on the investigation with trapping agents,a reaction mechanism is hence proposed suggesting that the photo-generated hole may be involved in the rate-limiting step.This work demonstrates the potential of inorganic halide perovskite-based heterojunction structure for photocatalytic applications. | Enbo Zhu Yizhou Zhao Yi Dai Qiuhe Wang Yuanyuan Dong Qi Chen Yujing Li | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2020，38，12： | 3 |
