1One-Dimensional Variational Retrieval of Temperature and Humidity Profiles from the FY4A GIIRS显示文摘A physical retrieval approach based on the one-dimensional variational(1 D-Var) algorithm is applied in this paper to simultaneously retrieve atmospheric temperature and humidity profiles under both clear-sky and partly cloudy conditions from FY-4 A GIIRS(geostationary interferometric infrared sounder) observations. Radiosonde observations from upper-air stations in China and level-2 operational products from the Chinese National Satellite Meteorological Center(NSMC)during the periods from December 2019 to January 2020(winter) and from July 2020 to August 2020(summer) are used to validate the accuracies of the retrieved temperature and humidity profiles. Comparing the 1 D-Var-retrieved profiles to radiosonde data, the accuracy of the temperature retrievals at each vertical level of the troposphere is characterized by a root mean square error(RMSE) within 2 K, except for at the bottom level of the atmosphere under clear conditions. The RMSE increases slightly for the higher atmospheric layers, owing to the lack of temperature sounding channels there.Under partly cloudy conditions, the temperature at each vertical level can be obtained, while the level-2 operational products obtain values only at altitudes above the cloud top. In addition, the accuracy of the retrieved temperature profiles is greatly improved compared with the accuracies of the operational products. For the humidity retrievals, the mean RMSEs in the troposphere in winter and summer are both within 2 g kg^(–1). 3Grain production space reconstruction and land system function tradeoffs in China显示文摘Grain production space reconstruction referred to the changes in the quantity,quality and pattern of grain produc-tion space caused by functional tradeoffs and conflicts between grain production space,urban-rural development space,and ecological service space.Exploring tradeoffs between land system functions caused by grain produc-tion space reconstruction was particularly important for ensuring food security,promoting the construction of ecological civilization,and achieving sustainable development.Therefore,this study identified four relationships of land system functions during the process of grain production space reconstruction(1980-2018)in China by using Set Pair Analysis.Research results showed that the reconstruction of grain production space was achieved mainly through three pathways:Grain for Green,deforestation and reclamation,and urban expansion.Generally,ecological service had spatial negative correlation with grain production,economic development and population carrying capacity(P<0.01),but grain production,economic development and population carrying capacity were positively correlated with each other(P<0.01).In the process of grain production space reconstruction,eco-logical services and economic development,ecological services and population carrying capacity had all shown inverse synergies;there was a tradeoffbetween grain production and ecological services,a codirectional tradeoffbetween grain production and economic development,but a strong synergy between economic development and population carrying capacity.However,the functions of land systems only appeared as synergies or tradeoffs,and there were no inverse synergies and codirectional tradeoffs in the separate processes of Grain for Green,deforestation and reclamation,and urban expansion.It can be concluded that the relationships between land system functions were relatively simple in a single process,but it became complex and diverse when multiple processes were integrated for system analysis.Fei Li Zhangxuan Qin Xiaolin Liu Zehui Chen Xiaoli Wei Qiumeng Zhang Min Lei 2021Geography and Sustainability2021,2,1:2
4Loss-of-function of KMT5B leads to neurodevelopmental disorder and impairs neuronal development and neurogenesis显示文摘Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders that cause severe social,communication,and behavioral problems.Recent studies show that the variants of a histone methyltransferase gene KMT5B cause neurodevelopmental disorders(NDDs),including ASD,and the knockout of Kmt5b in mice is embryonic lethal.However,the detailed genotype-phenotype correlations and functional effects of KMT5B in neurodevelopment are unclear.By targeted sequencing of a large Chinese ASD cohort,analyzing published genome-wide sequencing data,and mining literature,we curated 39 KMT5B variants identified from NDD individuals.A genotype-phenotype correlation analysis for 10 individuals with KMT5B pathogenic variants reveals common symptoms,including ASD,intellectual disability,languages problem,and macrocephaly.In vitro knockdown of the expression of Kmt5b in cultured mouse primary cortical neurons leads to a decrease in neuronal dendritic complexity and an increase in dendritic spine density,which can be rescued by expression of human KMT5B but not that of pathogenic de novo missense mutants.In vivo knockdown of the Kmt5b expression in the mouse embryonic cerebral cortex by in utero electroporation results in decreased proliferation and accelerated migration of neural progenitor cells.Our findings reveal essential roles of histone methyltransferase KMT5B in neuronal development,prenatal neurogenesis,and neuronal migration.Guodong Chen Lin Han Senwei Tan Xiangbin Jia Huidan Wu Yingting Quan Qiumeng Zhang Bin Yu Zhengmao Hu Kun Xia Hui Guo 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,9:1

6Optimization of Extraction Process and Determination of Antioxidant Activity of Myrica ruba Leaf Pigment by Orthogonal Design显示文摘[Objectives] To determine the optimum conditions and antioxidant activity of Myrica ruba leaf pigment,and provide reference for further development and use of Myrica ruba leaves. [Methods]Pigment of Myrica ruba leaves was extracted by ethanol extraction method. Absorbance was measured at wavelength of 300 nm. Effects of ethanol volume fraction,solid-to-liquid ratio,temperature,and extraction time were studied. 7Supply-side drivers of phosphorus emissions from phosphorus supply chains in China显示文摘Human activities interfere with natural Phosphorus(P)cycles by introducing increased levels of P emissions to air,land,and water.A supply-side analysis of P supply chains and associated P emissions can provide insights into underlying economic activities and transitions responsible for human-induced P emissions.Taking the China's Mainland as the case,this study constructs time-series physical input-output tables to describe P supply chains during 1949-2012.Subsequently,it identifies critical products and influencing factors of P supply chains enabling P emissions to the environment(including air,land,and water)from the supply perspective.The results show that phosphate rock,an important initial supplier of P from natural environment to China’s P supply chain,was responsible for 86%of P emissions in 2012.Moreover,food crops and livestock are important initial suppliers of P from soil to China’s P supply chain,through cultivation and pasturing,respectively.From 1949 to 2012,the change in primary input level was the largest driver of P emission increments,followed by changes in population,emission intensity,and primary input structure.On the contrary,changes in production structure reduced P emissions.These findings could support supply-side policy decisions on P emission control.Jing Zhang Qiumeng Zhong Yadong Yu Jetashree Xuechun Yang Cuiyang Feng Hui Li Sai Liang 2022Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2022,8,1:0
8Extended State Observer based Attitude Control of a Bird-like Flapping-wing Flying Robot显示文摘The attitude control system of a flapping-wing flying robot plays an important role in the precise orientation and tracking of the robot.In this paper,the modeling of a bird-like micro flapping-wing system is introduced,and the design of a sliding mode controller based on an Extended State Observer(ESO)is described.The main design difficulties are the control law and the adaptive law for the attitude control system.To address this problem,a sliding mode adaptive extended state observer algorithm is proposed.Firstly,a new extended state approximation method is used to estimate the final output as a disturbance state.Then,a sliding mode observer with good robustness to the model approximation error and external disturbance is used to estimate the system state.Compared with traditional algorithms,this method is not only suitable for more general cases,but also effectively reduces the influence of the approximation error and interference.Next,the simulation and experiment example is given to illustrate the implementation process.The results show that the algorithm can effectively estimate the state of the attitude control system of the flapping-wing flying robot,and further guarantee the robustness of the model regarding error and external disturbance.Keqiang Bai YunZhi Luo Zhihong Dan Song Zhang Meiling Wang Qiumeng Qian Jun Zhong 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,4:0
9Production of (2S)-sakuranetin from (2S)-naringenin in Escherichia coli by strengthening methylation process and cell resistance显示文摘(2S)-Sakuranetin is a 7-O-methylflavonoid that has anticancer,antiviral,and antimicrobial activities.Methylation process is involved in biosynthesizing(2S)-sakuranetin from(2S)-naringenin,in which S-adenosylmethionine(SAM)serves as the methyl donor.In this study,after methyl donor and substrate inhibition were identified as limiting factors for(2S)-sakuranetin biosynthesis,an efficient(2S)-sakuranetin-producing strain was constructed by enhancing methyl donor supply and cell tolerance to(2S)-naringenin.Firstly,PfOMT3 from Perilla frutescens was selected as the optimal flavonoid 7-O-methyltransferase(F7-OMT)for the conversion of(2S)-naringenin to(2S)-sakuranetin.Then,the methylation process was upregulated by regulating pyridoxal 5′-phosphate(PLP)content,key enzymes in methionine synthesis pathway,and the availability of ATP.Furthermore,genes that can enhance cell resistance to(2S)-naringenin were identified from molecular chaperones and sRNAs.Finally,by optimizing the fermentation process,681.44 mg/L of(2S)-sakuranetin was obtained in 250-mL shake flasks.The titer of(2S)-sakuranetin reached 2642.38 mg/L in a 5-L bioreactor,which is the highest titer ever reported.This work demonstrates the importance of cofactor PLP in methylation process,and provides insights to biosynthesize other O-methylated flavonoids efficiently in E.coli.Qiumeng Sun Song Gao Shiqin Yu Pu Zheng Jingwen Zhou 2022Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2022,7,4:0
10Reducing environmental impacts through socioeconomic transitions:critical review and prospects显示文摘Rapid socioeconomic development has caused numerous environmental impacts.Human production and consumption activities are the underlying drivers of resource uses,environmental emissions,and associated environmental impacts(e.g.,ecosystem quality and human health).Reducing environmental impacts requires an understanding of the complex interactions between socioeconomic system and environmental system.Existing studies have explored the relationships among human society,economic system,and environmental system.However,it is unclear about the research progress in the effects of socioeconomic activities on environmental impacts and the potential directions of future research.This critical review finds that existing studies have identified critical regions,sectors,and transmission pathways for resource uses,environmental emissions,and environmental impacts from supply chain perspectives.Moreover,scholars have characterized the impacts of socioeconomic transitions on resource uses and environmental emissions.However,existing studies overlook the dynamic nature of the interconnections among human society,economic system,and environmental system.In addition,the effects of socioeconomic structural transitions on environmental impacts remain unknown.This review proposes four prospects and possible solutions that will contribute to a better understanding of the complex interactions among human society,economic system,and environmental system.They can help identify more effective solutions to reduce environmental impacts through socioeconomic transitions.Sai Liang Qiumeng Zhong 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,2:0

12Comparison of Extraction Methods for Total Alkaloids from Abrus Cantoniensis Hance显示文摘[Objectives] To compare different extraction methods for total alkaloids from Abrus Cantoniensis Hance taking chloroform as solvent. [Methods] The ethanol extraction method,ultrasonic extraction method,acid water extraction method,and Soxhlet extraction method were used to extract total alkaloids,and the total alkaloids of Abrus Cantoniensis Hance were measured at 238 nm wavelength.
