1Effect of externally applied Jidesheng anti-venom on skin and soft-tissue necrosis after Chinese cobra bite: a retrospective study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of Jidesheng anti-venom used externally for skin and soft-tissue necrosis from Chinese cobra bite.METHODS: A retrospective review was performed according to the clinical data recorded from January 2002 to December 2012. A total of 126 patients(116 females and 10 males) with skin and soft-tissue necrosis due to Chinese cobra bite were divided into two groups. The control group was treated externally with 40% glyceride magnesium sulfate(n=52), and the treatment group was given Jidesheng anti-venom externally(n=74). The data collected included maximum local necrotic area of skin and soft tissues, de-tumescence time, healing time,and skin-grafting rate.RESULTS: There were no significant differences in gender, age, and disease condition between the control and treatment groups(P>0.05). No statistically significant difference was found in de-tumescence time between the two groups(P>0.05). The maximum local necrotic area of skin and soft tissues was(19.9 ± 7.3) cm2in the treatment group,while it was(23.3±6.4) cm2in the control group.The healing time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group [(32.1 ± 3.7) vs(34.4±4.5) days)] The skin-grafting rate in the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(10.81% vs 25.00%). There were statistically significant differences in maximum local necrotic area of skin and soft tissues, healing time, and skin-grafting rate between the control and treatment groups(all P<0.05).CONCLUSION: External application of Jidesheng anti-venom may help to promote wound healing and reduce the skin-grafting rate in cases of skin and soft-tissue necrosis due to Chinese cobra bite.Quanfang Chen Wei Wang Qibin Li Yulong Bai Xiaoying Zou Yanbin Wu 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,2:3
2Fabrication and characterization of crystalline copper nanowires by electrochemical deposition inside anodic alumina template显示文摘Copper nanowires were fabricated by electrochemical deposition inside anodic alumina template anodized on aluminum substrate. The morphology, composition and structure of the copper nanowires were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), energy-dispersive (EDS) and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD). The results revealed that copper nanowires were dense, continuous, highly-crystalline and uniform with diameters. The electrical properties of copper nanowires wrer characterized with two-terminal electrical measurements. Different current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of single copper nanowire were observed and possible conductive mechanisms were discussed. 4Preparation and Characterization of Natural Rubber/Silica Nanocomposites using Rule of Similarity in Latex显示文摘Rule of similarity and latex compounding techniques were combined for the first time to prepare natural rubber/nanosilica(NR/SiO2) nanocomposite with core-shell nanosilica-poly(methyl methacrylate)(SiO2-PMMA) particles and PMMA-modified natural rubber matrix(NR-PMMA).The microstructure of SiO2 and nanocomposites with different SiO2 contents was characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR);the morphology of nanocomposites was investigated with scanning electron microscopy(SEM);the tensile strength was characterized by tensile testing machine and the thermal stability of composites was studied by thermal gravimetric analysis.Results showed that PMMA chains have successfully grafted onto the surface of SiO2,and the core-shell SiO2-PMMA nanoparticles and NR-PMMA latex have been perfectly incorporated.SiO2-PMMA nanoparticles are evenly distributed over the NR matrix with an average size in the range of 60-100 nm at the low content(SiO2 ≤ 3 wt%),while aggregations are apparently observed when 5 wt% SiO2 is loaded.In addition,NR/SiO2 composities possess a considerable improvement in ageing resistance compared with the pure NR.The tensile strength of composite increases from 6.99 to 12.72 MPa,reaching the highest value at a 0.5 wt% SiO2 loading,and then the figure decreases gradually because of the aggregation of SiO2 nanoparticles.It is anticipated that the reported process is to provide a simple and economic way for preparing NR composites.罗勇悦 FENG Chunfang WANG Qinghuang YI Zhifeng QIU Quanfang Kong LX 彭政 2013Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2013,28,5:1
