1Spatial transmission and meteorological determinants of tuberculosis incidence in Qinghai Province,China:a spatial clustering panel analysis显示文摘Background:Tuberculosis(TB)is the notifiable infectious disease with the second highest incidence in the Qinghai province,a province with poor primary health care infrastructure.Understanding the spatial distribution of TB and related environmental factors is necessary for developing effective strategies to control and further eliminate TB.Methods:Our TB incidence data and meteorological data were extracted from the China Information System of Disease Control and Prevention and statistical yearbooks,respectively.We calculated the global and local Moran’s I by using spatial autocorrelation analysis to detect the spatial clustering of TB incidence each year.A spatial panel data model was applied to examine the associations of meteorological factors with TB incidence after adjustment of spatial individual effects and spatial autocorrelation.Results:The Local Moran’s I method detected 11 counties with a significantly high-high spatial clustering(average annual incidence:294/100000)and 17 counties with a significantly low-low spatial clustering(average annual incidence:68/100000)of TB annual incidence within the examined five-year period;the global Moran’s I values ranged from 0.40 to 0.58(all P-values<0.05).The TB incidence was positively associated with the temperature,precipitation,and wind speed(all P-values<0.05),which were confirmed by the spatial panel data model.Each 10°C,2 cm,and 1 m/s increase in temperature,precipitation,and wind speed associated with 9%and 3%decrements and a 7%increment in the TB incidence,respectively.Conclusions:High TB incidence areas were mainly concentrated in south-western Qinghai,while low TB incidence areas clustered in eastern and north-western Qinghai.Areas with low temperature and precipitation and with strong wind speeds tended to have higher TB incidences.Hua-Xiang Rao Xi Zhang Lei Zhao Juan Yu Wen Ren Xue-Lei Zhang Yong-Cheng Ma Yan Shi Bin-Zhong Ma Xiang Wang Zhen Wei Hua-Fang Wang Li-Xia Qiu 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:10
2CD30 expression in extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma,nasal type among 622 cases of mature T-cell and natural killer-cell lymphoma at a single institution in South China显示文摘Background:Mature T-cell and natural killer(NK)-cell lymphomas compose a heterogeneous group of non-Hodgkin lymphomas,and extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma,nasal type(ENKTL) is an aggressive subtype with sporadic CD30 expression.However,the significance of CD30 expression in ENKTL is controversial.We aimed to classify a large cohort of patients with mature T-cell and NK-cell lymphomas according to the 2016 World Health Organization(WHO) classification guidelines and to study the association between CD30 expression and prognosis of patients with ENKTL.Methods:We selected consecutive patients with mature T-cell and NK-cell lymphomas who attended our institution between September 1,2009 and August 31,2013.We classified the lymphomas according to the 2016 revision of the WHO classification of lymphoid neoplasms,analyzed the associations between CD30 expression and clinicopathologic features of ENKTL patients,and evaluated the prognostic implications of CD30 expression.Results:We identified 622 consecutive patients with mature T-cell and NK-cell lymphomas,including 317(51.0%)patients with ENKTL.In addition,CD30 expression was detected in 43(47.3%) of a subset of 91 patients with ENKTL.No clinicopathologic features were associated with CD30 expression,and CD30 positivity showed no prognostic significance in patients with ENKTL.Conclusions:ENKTL is the most common type of mature T-cell and NK-cell lymphoma diagnosed at our institution.CD30 is frequently expressed in ENKTL and represents a therapeutic target;however,it may not be a prognostic marker.Yanfen Feng Huilan Rao Yiyan Lei Yuhua Huang Fang Wang Yu Zhang Shaoyan Xi Qiuliang Wu Jianyong Shao 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer2017,36,6:10
3Combining sap flow measurement-based canopy stomatal conductance and ^(13)C discrimination to estimate forest carbon assimilation显示文摘The available methods for studying C uptake of forest and their problems in practices are reviewed, and a new approach to combining sap flow and 13C techniques is proposed in this paper. This approach, obtained through strict mathematic derivation, combines sap flow measure-ment-based canopy stomatal conductance and 13C discrimi-nation to estimate instantaneous carbon assimilation rate of a forest. Namely the mean canopy stomatal conductance (gc) acquired from accurate measurement of sap flux density is integrated with the relationship between 13C discrimination (?) and Ci/Ca (intercellular/ambient CO2 concentrations) and with that between Anet (net photosynthetic rate) and gCO2 (stomatal conductance for CO2) so that a new relation be-tween forest C uptake and ? as well as gc is established. 4The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. 6Potential mechanism of cholagogic effect about Gardenia Jasminoides Ellis(Zhizi)-mediated increase of bile acids urinary excretion in normal rats显示文摘Objectives: Gardenia Jasminoides Ellis(Zhizi), belonging to Rubiaceae family, has been traditionally used for treatment cholestasis and jaundice for centuries in Asian countries. In the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicines, Zhizi could dispel dampness and heat via the urine to execute its choleretic effects. However, the potential molecular mechanism has been still poorly clarified. Here, we investigated the effect of different dose of Zhizi aqueous extract powder(0.3 g/kg/d and 0.9 g/kg/d) on urinary excretion of bile acids(BAs), and defined the potential mechanism via renal BAs efflux transporters Mrp2 and Mrp4 in normal rats.Methods: Male Wistar rats were orally administrated with 0.3 or 0.9 g/kg/d dose of Zhizi aqueous extract powder for 2 weeks, then body weight, serum aminotransferase, total BAs concentrations in liver, bile,serum, kidney and urine, 1 h bile flow, 12-h urinary volume, biliary and urinary excretion amount of total BAs as well as protein expression of major renal BAs efflux transporter Mrp2 and Mrp4, were all evaluated.Results: Zhizi especially the high dose of Zhizi aqueous extract powder could reduce hepatic total BAs concentration. 7High-dose Chemotherapy Combined with Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation as Frontline Therapy for Intermediate/High-risk Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma显示文摘The role of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(auto-HSCT)following high-dose chemotherapy has been validated and accepted as a standard treatment for patients with relapsed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).However,its clinical efficacy as frontline therapy remains to be elucidated.This study aimed to examine the feasibility of frontline auto-HSCT for newly diagnosed intermediate/high-risk DLBCL patients.We retrospectively reviewed the data of 223 patients treated with frontline auto-HSCT or chemotherapy alone(year 2008-2014)from four hospitals.The median follow-up time was 29.4 months.Between the two treatment arms among the intermediate/high-risk DLBCL patients,the 3-year overall survival(OS)and progression-free survival(PFS)rates of patients given frontline auto-HSCT were 87.6%and 81.9%,respectively,and the chemotherapy-alone group showed 3-year OS and PFS rates of 64.9%and 59.59%,respectively.Compared with the chemotherapy-alone group,the frontline auto-HSCT could eliminate the adverse impact of non-germinal center B-cell(GCB)type.In addition,in the frontline auto-HSCT group,patients who achieved complete response(CR)at auto-HSCT had a longer survival time than those who did not achieve CR.Our results suggested that frontline auto-HSCT could improve the prognosis of intennediate/high-risk DLBCL patients.Qin WEN Li GAO Jing-kang XIONG Qiong LI San-bin WANG Ji-shi WANG Fang LIU Cheng ZHANG Yao LIU Pei-yan KONG Xian-gui PENG Jun RAO Lei GAO Xi ZHANG 2021Current Medical Science2021,41,3:2

16Network pharmacology and in vitro study of Fengreqing oral liquid(风热清口服液) in the intervention of wind-heat pattern显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the underlying mechanism of the effect of Fengreqing oral liquid(风热清口服液,FOL)on wind-heat pattern(WHP).METHODS:In this study,we predicted the potential targets of FOL via the approach of network pharmacology and verified it by in vitro inflammation model.In the network pharmacology part,two strategies,namely the direct target search and the indirect one,were used to collect the target sets of FOL in WHP treatment.The enrichment analysis was carried out by David database and Clue Go plug-in in Cytoscape.Furthermore,the potential targets were mapped in the candidate pathways.In the verification experiment section,in vitro model of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)induced RAW 264.7 was used to confirm the predictive results in the network pharmacology part.RESULTS:Through the two screening strategies,a total of 141 non-repetitive intervention targets of FOL on WHP were obtained.Gene ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis showed that the intervention effect was mainly focused on the anti-inflammatory effect,and the Toll-like receptor signaling pathway was one of the most critical regulatory pathways.Further mapping analysis showed that phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3 K)-protein kinase B(AKT)signaling transfer might be the key part of regulating the concentration of inflammation mediators of FOL in the Toll-like receptor signaling pathway.In vitro experiment showed that FOL significantly reduced the levels of NO,IL-1,IL-6,and TNF-αproduced by RAW264.7 induced by LPS.Further immunofluorescence found that this effect is related to the regulation of PI3 K-AKT pathway activity by FOL.CONCLUSION:FOL can intervene in WHP by regulating the content of inflammatory mediators via the PI3 K-AKT pathway.YANG Ruocong RAO Zhili LI Xiangyu WANG Dejian PENG Xi ZENG Nan 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,5:1

18Enhanced anticancer effect of doxorubicin by TPGS-coated liposomes with Bcl-2 siRNA-corona for dual suppression of drug resistance显示文摘Multiple drug resistance(MDR)is a tough problem in developing hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)therapy.Here,we developed TPGS-coated cationic liposomes with Bcl-2 siRNA corona to load doxorubicin(Dox)i.e.,Bcl-2 siRNA/Dox-TPGS-LPs,to enhance anticancer effect of Dox in HCC-MDR.TPGS i.e.,d-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate,inhibited Pglycoprotein(P-gp)efflux pump and Bcl-2 siRNA suppressed anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein.The Bcl-2 siRNA loaded in the liposomal corona was observed under transmission electron microscopy.The stability and hemolysis evaluation demonstrated Bcl-2 siRNA/Dox-TPGSLPs had good biocompatibility and siRNA-corona could protect the liposomal core to avoid the attachment of fetal bovine serum.In drug-resistant cells,TPGS effectively prolonged intracellular Dox retention time and siRNA-corona did improve the internalization of Dox from liposomes.In vitro and in vivo anticancer effect of this dual-functional nanostructure was examined in HCC-MDR Bel7402/5-FU tumor model.MTT assay confirmed the IC50 value of Dox was 20–50 fold higher in Bel7402/5-FU MDR cells than that in sensitive Bel7402 cells.Bcl-2 siRNA corona successfully entered the cytosol of Bel7402/5-FU MDR cells to downregulate Bcl-2 protein levels in vitro and in vivo.Bcl-2 siRNA/Dox-TPGS-LPs showed superior to TPGS-(or siRNA-)linked Dox liposomes in cell apoptosis and cytotoxicity assay in Bel7402/5-FU MDR cells,and 7-fold greater effect than free Dox in tumor growth inhibition of Bel7402/5-FU xenograft nude mice.In conclusion,TPGS-coated cationic liposomes with Bcl-2 siRNA corona had the capacity to inhibit MDR dual-pathways and subsequently improved the anti-tumor activity of the chemotherapeutic agent co-delivered to a level that cannot be achieved by inhibiting a MDR single way.Yinghuan Li Xi Tan Xuhan Liu Lingyan Liu Yan Fang Rong Rao Yuanyuan Ren Xiangliang Yang Wei Liu 2020Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2020,15,5:1
19Effect of thermal processing and fermentation with Chinese traditional starters on characteristics and allergenicity of wheat matrix显示文摘Wheat allergy has become a serious health threat worldwide and its prevalence has increased alarmingly in the past few years.Factors such as food matrix and food processing may alter the structure of wheat proteins,and hence affect its allergenic properties.However,few reports have focused on the influence of Chinese traditional starter fermentation on wheat allergy.In this study,5 starters from different regions of China were used for fermentation,and protein characteristics were monitored by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electropheresis,and immunoreactivity analyzed by immunoassay with allergenic serum was obtained from New Zealand white rabbits.The allergenicity of steamed and baked matrices was also evaluated.The results showed that the allergenicity of wheat dough was basically increased at the beginning and then decreased during fermentation,but specific trends depend on different starters.With the progress of fermentation,especially as pH value decreased to 3.0-4.0,the allergenicity decreased significantly.Baking and steaming can reduce the allergenicity of wheat matrix,but fermentation is not a key factor affecting the allergenic activity of proteins.Our results can provide a theoretical basis for controlling wheat allergenicity in food proces sing or producing hypoallergenic food.Huan Rao Xi Li Wentong Xue 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,3:1
