| 1 | A 6.2–9.5 GHz receiver for Wimedia MB-OFDM and China UWB standard显示文摘An integrated 6.2–9.5 GHz UWB receiver for both WiMedia MB-OFDM and China UWB standard is proposed. The receiver can cover Group#3, Group#4 for WiMedia and Group#2–5 for China UWB standard respectively. The fully differential receiver consists of a wideband LNA and a down conversion mixer with high gain and low gain mode. A low-pass filter with controllable gain and cut-o? frequency along with a programmable gain amplifier are also included. The chip was fabricated in TSMC 0.13-μm RF CMOS process. Measurement results show that the receiver achieves voltage gain from 21 to 69 dB with 2 dB/step and an NF of 3.2–4.6 dB over 6.2–9.5 GHz and 1-dB compression point of ?21 dBm. The intermediate frequency of the receiver can be switched between 264 and 132 MHz, which enables the receiver applicable for both WiMedia and China UWB standard. | 2 | A current-mode RF transmitter for 6–9 GHz MB-OFDM UWB application显示文摘This paper presents a current-mode 6–9 GHz RF transmitter for MB-OFDM UWB systems. The proposed current-mode transmitter consists of current-mode IQ LPF, current mirror amplifier, IQ up-conversion mixer (up-mixer), differential power driver amplifier (PA) and high-speed divider with LO buffers for generating IQ LO signals. All circuits are designed to possess high linearity and wide bandwidth. The transmitter is fabricated in TSMC 0.13 μm 1P8M RF CMOS technology with a die area of 1.56 mm2. | 7 | Extracellular ADP facilitates monocyte recruitment in bacterial infection via ERK signaling显示文摘As the most prominent clinical drug targets for the inhibition of platelet aggregation, P2Y12 and P2Y13 have been found to be highly expressed in both platelets and macrophages. However, the roles and function of P2Y12/13 in the regulation of macrophage-mediated innate immune responses remain unclear. Here, we demonstrate that adenosine 5′-diphosphate (ADP), the endogenous ligand of P2Y1, P2Y12 and P2Y13, was released both in E. coli-infected mice and from macrophages treated with either lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or Pam3CSK4. Furthermore, the expression of P2Y13 was clearly increased in both LPS-treated macrophages and tuberculosis patients. ADP protected mice from E. coli 0111-induced peritonitis by recruiting more macrophages to the infected sites. Consistent with this, ADP and ADP-treated cell culture medium attracted more macrophages in the transwell assay by enhancing the expression of MCP-1. Nevertheless, P2Y1 is dispensable for ADP-mediated protection against bacterial infection. However, either P2Y12/P2Y13 deficiency or blocking the downstream signaling of P2Y12/P2Y13 blocked the ADP-mediated immune response and allowed more bacteria to persist in the infected mice. Furthermore, extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) phosphorylation was clearly increased by ADP, and this type of activation could be blocked by either forskolin or analogs of cyclic AMP (cAMP) (for example, 8-bromo-cAMP). Accordingly, ADP-induced MCP-1 production and protection against bacterial infection could also be reduced by U0126, forskolin and 8-bromo-cAMP. | 12 | A monolithic K-band phase-locked loop for microwave radar application显示文摘A monolithic K-band phase-locked loop(PLL) for microwave radar application is proposed and implemented in this paper. By eliminating the tail transistor and using optimized high-Q LC-tank, the proposed voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO) achieves a tuning range of 18.4 to 23.3 GHz and reduced phase noise. Two cascaded current-mode logic(CML) divide-by-two frequency prescalers are implemented to bridge the frequency gap, in which inductor peaking technique is used in the first stage to further boost allowable input frequency.Six-stage TSPC divider chain is used to provide programmable division ratio from 64 to 127, and a second-order passive loop filter with 825 kHz bandwidth is also integrated on-chip to minimize required external components.The proposed PLL needs only approximately 18.2 μs settling time, and achieves a wide tuning range from 18.4 to 23.3 GHz, with a typical output power of –0.84 dBm and phase noise of 91:92 d Bc/Hz @ 1 MHz.
