| 1 | Effect of heat input and filler metals on weld strength of gas tungsten arc welding of AISI 316 weldments显示文摘The present work investigates the effect of filler metals and heat input on weld bead geometry and mechanical properties of alloy316 welded by using GTAW.ER309 L,ER316 L and ERNi Cr Mo-3 filler metals,are applied to study their effect on the weldment.Weld defects are examined using radiographic testing.The mechanical properties of welds are evaluated through uniaxial testing,hardness measuring,and bending test.The mechanical properties and cooling rate decrease with increasing heat input.Tensile strength,yield stress and percentage elongation of weldments using three fillers are determined.Best results are obtained using ERNi Cr Mo-3.Besides,weld nugget area,cooling time and solidification time increases with increasing heat input.Finally,applying bending test on weld samples,cracks,tearing and surface defects are not observed. | Essam Ahmed Ramy Ahmed A EL-Nikhaily A R S Essa | 2020 | China Welding2020，29，1： | 7 |

| 3 | Two case reports of acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding from duodenal ulcers after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery: Endoscopic diagnosis and therapy by single balloon or push enteroscopy after missed diagnosis by standard esophagogastroduodenoscopy显示文摘The diagnosis and opportunity for endoscopic therapy of gastric or duodenal lesions may be missed at esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD) because of technical difficulty in intubating at EGD the postoperatively excluded stomach and proximal duodenum in patients status post Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(RYGB). Two cases are reported of acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding 10 or 11 years status postRYGB, performed for morbid obesity, in which the EGD was non-diagnostic due to failure to intubate the excluded stomach and proximal duodenum, whereas subsequent push enteroscopy or single balloon enteroscopy were diagnostic and revealed 4-cm-wide or 5-mm-wide bulbar ulcers and even permitted application of endoscopic therapy. | 4 | Assessment of lnc RNA GAS5, lnc RNA HEIH, lnc RNA BISPR and its m RNA BST2 as serum innovative non-invasive biomarkers: Recent insights into Egyptian patients with hepatitis C virus type 4显示文摘BACKGROUND Hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection and its consequent complications are undeniably a public health burden worldwide,particularly in Egypt.Emerging evidence suggests that many lncRNAs have relevant roles in viral infections and antiviral responses.AIM To investigate the expression profiles of circulating lncRNAGAS5,lncRNAHEIH,lncRNABISPR and mRNABST2 in naïve,treated and relapsed HCV Egyptian patients,to elucidate relation to HCV infection and their efficacy as innovative biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of HCV GT4.METHODS One hundred and thirty HCV-infected Egyptian patients and 20 healthy controls were included in this study.Serum lncRNAs and mRNABST2 were measured using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR).RESULTS Our results indicated that serum lncRNAGAS5 and LncRNABISPR were upregulated,whereas mRNA BST2 and LncRNA HEIH were downregulated in naïve patients.In contrast,HCV patients treated with sofosbuvir and simeprevir;with sofosbuvir and daclatasvir;or with sofosbuvir,daclatasvir and ribavirin exhibited lower levels of lncRNAGAS5 and lncRNABISPR with higher mRNABST2 compared to naïve patients.Notably,patients relapsed from sofosbuvir and simeprevir showed higher levels of these lncRNAs with lower mRNABST2 compared to treated patients.LncRNAGAS5 and lncRNABISPR were positively correlated with viral load and ALT at P<0.001,whereas mRNABST2 was negatively correlated with viral load at P<0.001 and ALT at P<0.05.Interestingly,a significant positive correlation between lncRNA HEIH and AFP was observed at P<0.001.CONCLUSION Differential expression of these RNAs suggests their involvement in HCV pathogenesis or antiviral response and highlights their promising roles in diagnosis and prognosis of HCV. | Nourhan M El Samaloty Marwa I Shabayek Ramy S Ghait Shohda A El-Maraghy Sherine M Rizk Maha M El-Sawalhi | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020，26，2： | 2 |
| 5 | Split-dose menthol-enhanced PEG vs PEG-ascorbic acid for colonoscopy preparation显示文摘AIM:To compare the efficacy and palatability of 4L polyethylene glycol electrolyte(PEG)plus sugar-free menthol candy(PEG+M)vs reduced-volume 2 L ascorbic acid-supplemented PEG(Asc PEG).METHODS:In a randomized controlled trial setting,ambulatory patients scheduled for elective colonoscopy were prospectively enrolled.Patients were randomized to receive either PEG+M or Asc PEG,both splitdosed with minimal dietary restriction.Palatability was assessed on a linear scale of 1 to 5(1=disgusting;5=tasty).Quality of preparation was scored by assignment-blinded endoscopists using the modified Aronchick and Ottawa scales.The main outcomes were the palatability and efficacy of the preparation.Secondary outcomes included patient willingness to retake the same preparation again in the future and completion of the prescribed preparation.RESULTS:Overall,200 patients were enrolled(100patients per arm).PEG+M was more palatable than Asc PEG(76%vs 62%,P=0.03).Completing the preparation was not different between study groups(91%PEG+M vs 86%Asc PEG,P=0.38)but more patients were willing to retake PEG+M(54%vs 40%respectively,P=0.047).There was no significant difference between PEG+M vs Asc PEG in adequate cleansing on both the modified Aronchick(82%vs77%,P=0.31)and the Ottawa scale(85%vs 74%,P=0.054).However,PEG+M was superior in the left colon on the Ottawa subsegmental score(score0-2:94%for PEG+M vs 81%for Asc PEG,P=0.005)and received significantly more excellent ratings than Asc PEG on the modified Aronchick scale(61%vs 43%,P=0.009).Both preparations performed less well in afternoon vs morning examinations(inadequate:29%vs 15.2%,P=0.02).CONCLUSION:4 L PEG plus menthol has better palatability and acceptability than 2 L ascorbic acidPEG and is associated with a higher rate of excellentpreparations;Clinicaltrial.gov identifier:NCT01788709. | Ala I Sharara Ali H Harb Fayez S Sarkis Jean M Chalhoub Rami Badreddine Fadi H Mourad Mahmoud Othman Omar Masri | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，6： | 2 |
| 6 | Peripheral interventions and antiplatelet therapy: Role in current practice显示文摘Peripheral arterial disease(PAD) is a common disorder associated with a high risk of cardiovascular mortality and continues to be under-recognized. The major risk factors for PAD are similar to those for coronary and cerebrovascular disease. Management includes exercise program, pharmacologic therapy and revascularization including endovascular and surgical approach. The optimal revascularization strategy, endovascular or surgical intervention, is often debated due to the paucity of head to head randomized controlled studies. Despite significant advances in endovascular interventions resulting in increased utilization over surgical bypass, significant challenges still remain. Platelet activation and aggregation after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of atherosclerotic arteries are important risk factors for re-occlusion/restenosis and life-threatening thrombosis following endovascular procedures. Antiplatelet agents are commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke and death from cardiovascular causes in patients with PAD. Despite an abundance of data demonstrating efficacy of antiplatelet therapy in coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular disease, there is a paucity of clinical information, clinical guidelines and randomized controlled studies in the PAD population. Hence, data on antiplatelet therapy in coronary interventions is frequently extrapolated to peripheral interventions.
