1Per oral cholangiopancreatoscopy in pancreatico biliary diseases- Expert consensus statements显示文摘AIM: To provide consensus statements on the use of per-oral cholangiopancreatoscopy(POCPS).METHODS: A workgroup of experts in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP), endosonography, and POCPS generated consensus statements summarizing the utility of POCPS in pancreaticobiliary disease. Recommendation grades used validated evidence ratings of publications from an extensive literature review.RESULTS: Six consensus statements were generated:(1) POCPS is now an important additional tool during ERCP;(2) in patients with indeterminate biliary strictures, POCS and POCS-guided targeted biopsy are useful for establishing a definitive diagnosis;(3) POCS and POCS-guided lithotripsy are recommended for treatment of difficult common bile duct stones when standard techniques fail;(4) in patients with main duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms(IPMN) POPS may be used to assess extent of tumor to assist surgicalresection;(5) in difficult pancreatic ductal stones,POPS-guided lithotripsy may be useful in fragmentation and extraction of stones; and(6) additional indications for POCPS include selective guidewire placement,unexplained hemobilia, assessing intraductal biliary ablation therapy, and extracting migrated stents. 2Analysis of genetic relationship in mutant silkworm strains of Bom-byx mori using inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers显示文摘Amplified inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR) markers were used to determine genetic relationships among mutant silkworm strains of Bombyx mori. Fifteen ISSR primers containing simple sequence repeat (SSR) motifs were used in this study. A total of 113 markers were produced among 20 mutant strains, of which 73.45% were found to be polymorphic. In selected mutant genetic stocks, the average number of observed allele was (1.7080 ± 0.4567), effective alleles (1.5194 ± 0.3950) and genetic diversity (Ht) (0.2901 ± 0.0415). The dendrogram produced using the unweighted pair group method with arithmetic means (UPGMA) and cluster analysis made using Nei’s genetic distance resulted in the formation of one major group containing 6 groups separated 20 mutant silkworm strains. Therefore, ISSR amplification is a valuable method for determining the genetic variability among mutant silkworm strains. This efficient molecular marker would be useful for characterizing a considerable number of silkworm strains maintained at the germplasm center.Dhanikachalam Velu Kangayam M. 3Accumulation of L-DOPA in various organs of faba bean and influence of drought, nitrogen stress, and processing methods on L-DOPA yield显示文摘Faba bean(Vicia faba L.)has been identified as a rich source of L-DOPA,which is used in treating Parkinson's disease.Biosynthesis and accumulation of active substances such as L-DOPA in plant tissues may interact with growing conditions and processing methods.Accumulation trends of L-DOPA in various faba bean organs and the effect of drought stress and N fertilization on L-DOPA content were studied in a field and two greenhouse experiments.The influence of various processing methods on L-DOPA content of faba bean tissues was evaluated.The highest L-DOPA content was detected in fresh leaves(22.4 mg g^(-1))followed by flowers,young pods,mature seeds,and roots.Regardless of processing method,L-DOPA concentration in faba bean tissues was significantly reduced when tissues were boiled or dried.Among various methods of processing,freezing had the lowest detrimental effect,reducing L-DOPA concentrations by 24.1%and 21.1%in leaves and seeds,respectively.Drought stress elevated L-DOPA concentration,and maximum L-DOPA(23.3 mg g^(-1)of biomass)was extracted from plants grown under severe drought stress.However,L-DOPA yield(L-DOPA concentration×biomass)was compromised,owing to the adverse influence of drought stress on dry matter production.No significant difference in L-DOPA concentration was detected among various N application rates.Fatemeh Etemadi Masoud Hashemi Reena Randhir Omid ZandVakili Ali Ebadi 2018The Crop Journal2018,6,4:2
