| 1 | Spatial and temporal variations and controlling factors of potential evapotranspiration in China:1956-2000显示文摘Based on the climatic data of 580 stations in China during 1956 and 2000, potential evapotranspiration are calculated using the Penman-Monteith Method recommended by FAO. The spatial and temporal distributions of the potential evapotranspiration over China and the temporal trends of the regional means for 10 major river basins and whole China are analyzed. Through a partial correlation analysis, the major climate factors which affect the temporal change of the potential evapotranspiration are analyzed. Major results are drawn as follows: 1) The seasonal and annual potential evapotranspiration for China as a whole and for most basins show decline tendencies during the past 45 years; for the Songhua River Basin there appears a slightly increasing trend. 2) Consequently, the annual potential evapotranspirations averaged over 1980-2000 are lower than those for the first water resources assessment (1956-1979) in most parts of China. Exceptions are found in some areas of Shandong Peninsula, western and middle basins of the rivers in Southwest China, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region as well as the source regions of the Yangtze and Yellow rivers, which may have brought about disadvantages to the exploration and utilization of water resources. 3) Generally, sunshine duration, wind speed and relative humidity have greater impact on the potential evapotranspiration than temperature. | 2 | Study on Anti-infection Effect of Polysaccharide from Agaricus blazei Murrill on Mice显示文摘In order to study the anti-infection effect of phoshporylated Agaricus blazei polysaccharide on mice,mice were drenched phoshporylated A. blazei polysaccharide for 14 d,and an A. blazei polysaccharide control group and a blank control group were also set. The mice in all the three groups were infected with Escherichia coli on the 15^(th)day and the 29^(th)day of the experiment,the body weight of the mice in each group was recorded,as well as the spleen index on the 29^(th)day of infection and the 36^(th)day of the experiment,and the anti-E. coli titer in serum was also detected. The results showed that phoshporylated A. blazei polysaccharide could promote and maintain the development of spleen,and improve the immune response of organisms,thereby resisting bacterial infection. | 4 | Light-triggered NO-releasing nanoparticles for treating mice with liver fibrosis显示文摘Liver fibrosis, resulting from chronic liver damage and characterized by the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, is a characteristic of most types of chronic liver diseases. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) is considered an essential pathological hallmark in liver fibrosis. Although nitric oxide (NO) can effectively induce HSC apoptosis, the systemic administration of NO is ineffective and may cause severe complications such as hypotension. To overcome this limitation, nanoparticles were designed to target HSCs and release NO locally under the exposure of near infrared light (NIR). To achieve this, upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP) cores were enveloped in mesoporous silica shells (UCNP@mSiO2), which were modified with hyaluronic acid (HA-UCNP@mSiO2) and Roussin’s black salt (RBS). HA molecules recognize and bind to CD44 proteins, which are overexpressed on activated HSCs. Under exposure to a 980-nm NIR laser, the UCNP cores convert the 980-nm wavelength into ultraviolet (UV) light, which then energizes the RBS (NO donors), resulting in an efficient release of NO inside of the HSCs. Once released, NO triggers HSC apoptosis and reverses the liver fibrosis. | 8 | Study on Anti-infection Effect of Polysaccharide from Agaricus blazei Murrill on Chickens显示文摘In order to study the anti-bacterial infection effect of polysaccharide from Agaricus blazei Murrill on chickens,the experimental groups were orally administrated A. blazei polysaccharide at low dose and high dose,respectively,for 14 d continuously,and then,the chickens in various groups were infected with Escherichia coli or Pasteurella pneumotropica,so as to observe the clinical symptoms of chickens and record the change in body weight. Anatomy was performed 14 d later,and the organ indices were determined,so as to study the anti-bacterial infection effect of A. blazei polysaccharide on chickens. The results showed that after bacterial infection,the high-dose A. blazei polysaccharide group was significantly differed from other groups in changes of body weight and organ indices.
