| 1 | Immunogenicity analysis following human immunodeficiency virus recombinant DNA and recombinant vaccinia virus Tian Tan prime-boost immunization显示文摘This study assessed and compared the immunogenicity of various immunization strategies in mice using combinations of recombinant DNA(pCCMp24) and recombinant attenuated vaccinia virus Tian Tan(rddVTT-CCMp24).Intramuscular immunization was performed on days 0(prime) and 21(boost).The immunogenicity of the vaccine schedules was determined by measuring human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-specific binding antibody levels and cytokine(interleukin-2 and interleukin-4) concentrations in peripheral blood,analyzing lymphocyte proliferation capacity against HIV epitopes and CD4 + /CD8 + cell ratio,and monitoring interferon-gamma levels at different times post-immunization.The results showed that pCCMp24,rddVTT-CCMp24 and their prime-boost immunization induced humoral and cellular immune responses.The pCCMp24/rddVTT-CCMp24 immunization strategy increased CD8 + T cells and induced more IFN-γ-secreting cells compared with single-shot rDNA.The prime-boost immunization strategy also induced the generation of cellular immunological memory to HIV epitope peptides.These results demonstrated that prime-boost immunization with rDNA and rddVTT-CCMp24 had a tendency to induce greater cellular immune response than single-shot vaccinations,especially IFN-γ response,providing a basis for further studies. | LIU CunXia DU ShouWen LI Chang WANG YuHang WANG MaoPeng LI Yi YIN RongLan LI Xiao REN DaYong QIN YanQing REN JingQiang JIN NingYi | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,6: | 7 |

| 11 | Coupled modeling of rainfall-induced floods and sediment transport at the catchment scale显示文摘Rainfall-induced floods may trigger intense sediment transport on erodible catchments, especially on the Loess Plateau in China, which in turn modifies the floods. However, the role of sediment transport in modifying floods has to date remained poorly understood. Concurrently, traditional hydrodynamic models for rainfall-induced floods typically ignore sediment transport, which may lead to inaccurate results for highly erodible catchments. Here, a two-dimensional(2 D) coupled shallow water hydro-sedimentmorphodynamic(SHSM) model, based on the Finite Volume Method on unstructured meshes and parallel computing, is proposed and applied to simulate rainfall-induced floods in the Zhidan catchment on the Loess Plateau, Shaanxi Province, China. For six historical floods of return periods up to 2 years, the numerical results compare well with observations of discharge hydrographs at the catchment outlet. The computed runoff-sediment yield relation is quantitatively reasonable as compared with other catchments under similar geographical conditions. It is revealed that neglecting sediment transport leads to underestimation of peak discharge of the flood by 14%-45%, whilst its effect on the timing of the peak discharge varies for different flood events. For 18 design floods with return periods of 10-500 years, sediment transport may lead to higher peak discharge by around 9%-15%. The temporal pattern of concentrated rainfall in a short period may lead to a larger exponent value of the power function for the runoff-sediment yield relation. The current finding leads us to propose that incorporating sediment transport in rainfallinduced flood modeling is warranted. | 12 | Meteoroid and Space Debris Risk Assessment for Satellites Orbiting the Earth/Moon显示文摘Interplanetary meteoroids and space debris can impact satellites orbiting the Earth or spacecraft traveling to the Moon.Targeting China Space Station(CSS),7 satellites selected from the constellation of Beidou Navigation Satellite System Phase III(BDS-3),and 3 spacecraft orbiting the Moon,we have adopted in the paper the Meteoroid Engineering Model 3,Divine-Staubach meteoroid environment model,and Jenniskens-McBride meteoroid steam model to analyze the meteoroid environment with the mass range of 10–6~10 g.Orbital Debris Engineering Model 3.1 space debris model is used to analyze the orbital debris environment faced by these satellites.The flux of space debris with a size larger than 100μm is compared with that of the meteoroids.The results show that the space debris flux encountered by China Space Station is much higher than that of the meteoroids with sizes in the above range.And quite the opposite,the meteoroids flux impacting the 7 satellites from the BDS-3 is higher.Upon adopting the double-layer Whipple protection measure,the catastrophic collision flux of these satellites encountering meteoroids is about 10–6 times of that without protection,or even less,implying that the Whipple protection effectively guarantees the safety of the satellites in orbit.Besides,it is also found that the flux of the high-density meteoroid population encountered by each satellite is greater than that of the low-density population,whereas the impact velocity is lower for each satellite.These results can aid the orbit selection and the protection design for satellites and spacecraft. | FENG Shuai WANG Ronglan | 2023 | 空间科学学报2023,43,4: | 0 |
