| 1 | Review on active thermal protection and its heat transfer for airbreathing hypersonic vehicles显示文摘Hypersonic vehicles with turbojet, ramjet, and scramjet engines are expected to be widely applied to future transportation systems. Due to high-speed flight in the atmosphere, body outer surfaces suffer strong aerodynamic heating, and on the other hand, combustion chamber inter walls are under extremely high temperature and heat flux. Therefore, more efficient and stable active cooling technologies are required in hypersonic vehicles, such as regenerative cooling, film cooling, and transpiration cooling, as well as their combinations. | 2 | Pore-scale visualization on a depressurization-induced CO2 exsolution显示文摘The pore-scale behavior of the exsolved CO_2 phase during the depressurization process in CO_2 geological storage was investigated.The reservoir pressure decreases when the injection stops or when a leaking event or fluid extraction occurs.The exsolution characteristics of CO_2 affect the migration and fate of CO_2 in the storage site significantly.Here,a micromodel experimental system that can accommodate a large pressure variation provides a physical model with homogeneous porous media to dynamically visualize the nucleation and growth of exsolved CO_2 bubbles.The pressure decreased from 9.85 to 3.95 MPa at different temperatures and depressurization rates,and the behavior of CO_2 bubbles was recorded.At the pore-scale,the nuclei became observable when the CO_2 phase density was significantly reduced,and the pressure corresponding to this observation was slightly lower than that of the severe expansion pressure region.The lower temperature and faster depressurization rate produced more CO_2 nuclei.The exsolved CO_2 bubble preferentially grew into the pore body instead of the throat.The progress of smaller CO_2 bubbles merging into a larger CO_2 bubble was first captured,which validated the existence of the Ostwald ripening mechanism.The dispersed CO_2 phase after exsolution shows similarity with the residually trapped CO_2.This observation is consistent with the low mobility and high residual trapping ratio of exsolved CO_2 measured in the core-scale measurement,which is considered to be a self-sealing mechanism during depressurization process in CO_2 geological storage. | Ruina Xu Rong Li Feng Huang Peixue Jiang | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,11: | 10 |

| 4 | Effect of reactive surface area of minerals on mineralization trapping of CO_2 in saline aquifers显示文摘The reactive surface area, an important parameter controlling mineral reactions, affects the amount of mineralization trapping of CO2 which affects the long-term CO2 storage. The effect of the reactive surface area on the mineralization trapping of CO2 was numerically simulated for CO2 storage in saline aquifers. Three kinds of minerals, including anorthite, calcite and kaolinite, are involved in the mineral reactions. This paper models the relationship between the specific surface area and the grain diameter of anorthite based on experimental data from literature (Brantley and Mellott, 2000). When the reactive surface areas of anorthite and calcite decrease from 838 to 83.8 m2/m3, the percentage of mineralization trapping of CO2 after 500 years decreases from 11.8% to 0.65%. The amount of dissolved anorthite and the amounts of precipitated kaolinite and calcite decrease significantly when the reactive surface areas of anorthite and calcite decrease from 838 to 83.8 m2/m3. Calcite is initially dissolved in the brine and then precipitates during the geochemical reactions between CO2-H2O and the minerals. Different reactive surface areas of anorthite and calcite lead to different times from dissolution to precipitation. The pH of the brine decreases with decreasing reactive surface areas of anorthite and calcite which influences the acidity of the saline aquifer. The gas saturation between the upper and lower parts of the saline aquifer increases with decreasing reactive surface areas of anorthite and calcite. | 5 | Internal heat transfer coefficients in microporous media with rarefaction effects显示文摘The internal heat transfer of different gases in microporous media was investigated experimentally and numerically.The experimental test section had a sintered bronze porous media with average particle diameters from 11 μm to 225 μm.The Knudsen numbers at the average inlet and outlet pressures of each test section varied from 0.0006 to 0.13 with porosities from 0.16 to 0.38.The particle-to-fluid heat transfer coefficients of air,CO 2 and helium in the microporous media were determined experimentally.The results show that the Nusselt numbers for the internal heat transfer in the microporous media decrease with decreasing the particle diameter,d p,and increasing Knudsen number for the same Reynolds number.For Kn>0.01,the rarefaction affects the internal heat transfer in the microporous media.A Nusselt number correlation was developed that includes the influence of rarefaction.The computational fluid dynamics(CFD) numerical simulation was carried out to do the pore scale simulation of internal heat transfer in the microporous media considering the rarefaction effect.Pore scale three-dimensional numerical simulations were also used to predict the particle-to-fluid heat transfer coefficients.The numerical results without slip-flow and temperature jump effects for Kn<0.01 corresponded well with the experimental data.The numerical results with slip-flow and temperature jump effects for 0.01 | XU RuiNa HUANG YuLi JIANG PeiXue WANG BuXuan | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,10: | 4 |
| 6 | Gene expression dynamics during the gonocyte to spermatogonia transition and spermatogenesis in the domestic yak显示文摘Background:Spermatogenesis is a cellular differentiation process that includes three major events:mitosis of spermatogonia,meiosis of spermatocytes and spermiogenesis.Steady-state spermatogenesis relies on functions of spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs).Establishing and maintaining a foundational SSC pool is essential for continued spermatogenesis in mammals.Currently,our knowledge about SSC and spermatogenesis is severely limited in domestic animals.Results:In the present study,we examined transcriptomes of testes from domestic yaks at four different stages(3,5,8 and 24 months of age)and attempted to identify genes that are associated with key developmental events of spermatogenesis.Histological analyses showed that the most advanced germ cells within seminiferous tubules of testes from 3,5,8 and 24 months old yaks were gonocytes,spermatogonia,spermatocytes and elongated spermatids,respectively.RNA-sequencing(RNA-seq)analyses revealed that 11904,4381 and 2459 genes were differentially expressed during the gonocyte to spermatogonia transition,the mitosis to meiosis transition and the meiosis to post-meiosis transition.Further analyses identified a list of candidate genes than may regulate these important cellular processes.CXCR4,a previously identified SSC niche factor in mouse,was one of the up-regulated genes in the 5 months old yak testis.Results of immunohistochemical staining confirmed that CXCR4 was exclusively expressed in gonocytes and a subpopulation of spermatogonia in the yak testis.Conclusions:Together,these findings demonstrated histological changes of postnatal testis development in the domestic yak.During development of spermatogonial lineage,meiotic and haploid germ cells are supported by dynamic transcriptional regulation of gene expression.Our transcriptomic analyses provided a list of candidate genes that potentially play crucial roles in directing the establishment of SSC and spermatogenesis in yak. | Guowen Wang Yongchang Li Qilin Yang Shangrong Xu Shike Ma Rongge Yan Ruina Zhang Gongxue Jia Deqiang Ai Qi’en Yang | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,4: | 3 |

| 11 | Multi-objective Optimization of Geothermal Extraction from the Enhanced Geothermal System in Qiabuqia Geothermal Field, Gonghe Basin显示文摘A geothermal demonstration exploitation area will be established in the Enhanced Geothermal System of the Qiabuqia field, Gonghe Basin, Qinghai–Xizang Plateau in China. Selection of operational parameters for geothermal field extraction is thus of great significance to realize the best production performance. A novel integrated method of finite element and multi-objective optimization has been employed to obtain the optimal scheme for thermal extraction from the Gonghe Basin. A thermal-hydraulic-mechanical coupling model(THM) is established to analyze the thermal performance. From this it has been found that there exists a contraction among different heat extraction indexes. Parametric study indicates that injection mass rate(Q_(in)) is the most sensitive parameter to the heat extraction, followed by well spacing(WS) and injection temperature(T_(in)). The least sensitive parameter is production pressure(p_(out)). The optimal combination of operational parameters acquired is such that(T_(in), p_(out), Q_(in), WS) equals(72.72°C, 30.56 MPa, 18.32 kg/s, 327.82 m). Results indicate that the maximum electrical power is 1.41 MW for the optimal case over 20 years. The thermal break has been relieved and the pressure difference reduced by 8 MPa compared with the base case. | 17 | Analysis of Electromagnetic Performance of Modulated Coaxial Magnetic Gears Used in Semi-Direct Drive Wind Turbines显示文摘Wind turbine is a key device to realize the utilization of wind energy,and it has been highly valued by all countries.But the mechanical gear transmission of the existing wind power device has the disadvantages of high vibration and noise,high failure rate,and short service time.Magneticfield modulation electromagnetic gear transmission is a new non-contact transmission method.However,the conventional modulation magnetic gear has low torque density and torque defects with largefluctuations.In order to overcome the gear transmis-sion problems of the existing semi-direct drive wind power generation machinery and improve the electromag-netic performance of the traditional magnetic gear transmission,this paper proposes a new transmission scheme of a non-contact semi-direct drive wind generator with a surface mount Halbach array modulated mag-netic gear method,and considers the electromagnetic properties of the semi-direct drive modulation magnetic gear of the wind turbine.Thefinite element software is used to construct the model of the surface-mounted Halbach array magnetic gear and the conventional gear,analyzed the distribution of magneticfield lines of the two magnetic gears,calculated the air gap magneticflux density of the inner and outer air gap,and obtained the main harmonics of the inner and outer air gap magnetic density;calculated the static torque and steady-state operating torque of the inner and outer rotors in the model,compared the air gapflux density,harmonics and torque of the magnetic gears.The simulation results show that the magneticfield modulation type mag-netic gear of the surface mount Halbach array magnetic gear method improves the magnetic induction wave-form of the inner and outer air gap,reduces the pulse torquefluctuation,and has a 60%higher static torque.Applying it to semi-direct drive wind power generation equipment not only overcomes the shortcomings of mechanical gears,but also has higher electromagnetic performance.Therefore,the surface-mounted Halbach array modulated magnetic gear can be used to replace the mechanical gearbox in the semi-direct drive wind power generation equipment. | Jungang Wang Liqun Qian Shuairui Xu Ruina Mo | 2021 | Energy Engineering2021,118,2: | 1 |
