1Transplantation of UC-MSCs on collagen scaffold activates follicles in dormant ovaries of POF patients with long history of infertility显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a refractory disease for clinical treatment with the goal of restoring fertility. In this study,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on a collagen scaffold(collagen/UC-MSCs) can activate primordial follicles in vitro via phosphorylation of FOXO3 a and FOXO1. Transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs to the ovaries of POF patients rescued overall ovarian function, evidenced by elevated estradiol concentrations, improved follicular development, and increased number of antral follicles. Successful clinical pregnancy was achieved in women with POF after transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs or UC-MSCs. 2Highly Selective Lithium Ion Adsorbents:Polymeric Porous Microsphere with Crown Ether Groups显示文摘In this study, we prepared and applied polymeric porous microsphere adsorbents with selectivity for Li^+ extraction from aqueous solution. We synthesized the adsorbents by suspension polymerization using methacryloyoxyme-12-crown-4(M12C4) as a functional monomer, which had been synthesized from 2-hyroxymethyl-12-crown-4 and methacryloyl chloride. We verified the chemical composition by solid nuclear magnetic resonance(13C-NMR) spectroscopy and observed the porous structure by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). We conducted adsorption isothermal and kinetic tests to determine the adsorption properties. It was found that the adsorbents showed high adsorption efficiency and an adsorption equilibrium time of 200 min. In addition, since the crown ether used in this work could form a stable complex with Li^+, we observed good selectivity for Li^+ in the prepared solution compared with other ions such as Na^+, K^+, Mg^(2+), and Ca^(2+). 3Enhanced biodegradation of chlorobenzene via combined Fe^(3+) and Zn^(2+) based on rhamnolipid solubilisation显示文摘Biotrickling filters(BTFs) for hydrophobic chlorobenzene(CB) purification are limited by mass transfer and biodegradation. The CB mass transfer rate could be improved by 150 mg/L rhamnolipids. This study evaluated the combined use of Fe^(3+) and Zn^(2+) to enhance biodegradation in a BTF over 35 day. The effects of these trace elements were analysed under different inlet concentrations(250, 600, 900, and 1200 mg/L) and empty bed residence times(EBRTs;60, 45, and 32 sec). Batch experiments showed that the promoting effects of Fe^(3+)/Zn^(2+) on microbial growth and metabolism were highest for 3 mg/L Fe^(3+) and 2 mg/L Zn^(2+), followed by 2 mg/L Zn^(2+), and lowest at 3 mg/L Fe^(3+). Compared to BTF in the absence of Fe^(3+) and Zn^(2+), the average CB elimination capacity and removal efficiency in the presence of Fe^(3+) and Zn^(2+) increased from 61.54 to 65.79 g/(m 3 hr) and from 80.93% to 89.37%, respectively, at an EBRT of 60 sec. The average removal efficiency at EBRTs of 60, 45, and 32 sec increased by 2.89%, 5.63%, and 11.61%, respectively. The chemical composition(proteins(PN), polysaccharides(PS)) and functional groups of the biofilm were analysed at 60, 81, and 95 day. Fe^(3+) and Zn^(2+) significantly enhanced PN and PS secretion, which may have promoted CB adsorption and biodegradation. High-throughput sequencing revealed the promoting effect of Fe^(3+) and Zn^(2+) on bacterial populations. 17Depression,Anxiety,and Cardiovascular Disease in Chinese:A Review for a Bigger Picture显示文摘Cardiovascular disease(CVD)and depression and anxiety contribute substantially to the current disease burden worldwide as well as in China.Both depression and anxiety are highly prevalent among patients with CVD.We systematically reviewed the literature to disentangle the role of depression and anxiety disorders in the onset and prognosis of CVD with an emphasis on cohort studies conducted in the Chinese population.Despite the lack of large-scale prospective studies in China,the available evidence implies that both depression and anxiety are closely associated with the onset and prognosis of CVD,including ischemic heart disease and stroke,in Chinese adults.Putative behavioral and biological mechanisms are implicated in the link between depression/anxiety and CVD.Timely screening and diagnosis followed by proper treatment should be implemented for depression and anxiety in both the general population and patients with CVD.Current standard treatments such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and psychotherapies are recommended for CVD patients with depression,although their efficacy for reducing CVD morbidity and mortality remains uncertain.In conclusion,prospective studies on the link between depression/anxiety and the onset and prognosis of CVD are urgently needed in the Chinese population,and more efforts are warranted to examine the efficacy of depression and anxiety treatments for CVD patients,particularly the integrated care model of including psychiatrists in a multidisciplinary clinical group.Xiong-Fei Pan Ruiwei Meng Na Liu An Pan 2017Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2017,,B02:1
