| 1 | Waxy allelic diversity in common millet(Panicum miliaceum L.) in China显示文摘A set of 132 accessions of common millet,Panicum miliaceum L.,from 12 provinces of China were assessed for endosperm starch type(waxy or non-waxy)using I_2-KI staining,amylose and amylopectin contents using the dual-wavelength colorimetric method,and genotype of Waxy genes conditioning amylose content by gene sequencing.Endosperm starch content varied from57.69%to 74.70%,while the amylose and amylopectin contents of the starch ranged from 0 to23.29%and from 41.99%to 70.24%,respectively.Sequencing two Wx genes,including Wx-L(intron 5-exon 7 and intron 8–9)and Wx-S(exon 9–intron 10)revealed several polymorphisms(S_0,S_(-15),L_C,L_F,L_Y).Marker M5-R11 linking to the Wx-S gene may be used to discriminate waxy common millet accessions from non-waxy ones.Among the 132 accessions,68 with the S_(-15)allele had waxy endosperm starch with the amylose content range 0–2.58%and 64 accessions with the S_0allele had non-waxy endosperm starch with amylose content range 3.94%–23.29%.Five genotypes including S_(-15)/L_F(45%of the accessions),S_0/L_F(25%),S_0/L_Y(12%),S_0/L_C(11%),and S_(-15)/L_Y(7%)were identified.Six new SNPs were detected at the Wx-L locus.These results will facilitate common millet breeding,especially of cultivars free of amylose. | Ruiyun Wang Haigang Wang Xiaohuan Liu Xu Ji Ling Chen Ping Lu Minxuan Liu Bin Teng Zhijun Qiao | 2018 | The Crop Journal2018,6,4: | 10 |
| 2 | Variations in leaf characteristics of three species of angiosperms with changing of altitude in Qilian Mountains and their inland high-altitude pattern显示文摘In this study,39 leaf samples of three angiosperms(Betula albo-sinensis,tree species;and Caragana jubata and Berberis diaphana,shrub species) were collected in the middle-east parts at 2300–3640 m asl of the Qilian Mountains to study the variations of leaf characteristics of angiosperms with altitude change in inland high-altitude regions of China.Five leaf indexes,viz.epidermal cell density(ED),stomatal density(SD),stomatal index(SI),leaf vein density(VD) and carbon isotopic ratio(δ13C),were analyzed in laboratory.The results show that there are significant or even very significant linear correlations between the five indexes and altitude,of which SD,SI and VD exhibit a negative correlation with altitude,while ED and δ13C exhibit a positive correlation with altitude.Such a correlation assemblage is quite different from the situation in the low-altitude humid environment.Generally,only an assemblage of positive correlations can be observed between the indexes(viz.SD,SI and δ13C,etc.) and the altitude in the low-altitude humid environment,which were caused mainly by the plants' responses to the change of atmospheric CO2 concentration(Cα).However,an assemblage of the negative and positive correlations found here may be attributed mainly to the plants' responses to the change of physiological drought caused by change of low temperature,and here it is preliminarily called the inland high-altitude pattern of plant leaf variations. | WANG XueFang LI RuiYun LI XiaoZe MA FuJun SUN BaiNian WU JingYu WANG YouKui | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4: | 8 |
| 3 | Bamboo Leaf and Pollen Fossils from the Late Miocene of Eastern Zhejiang,China and their Phytogeological Significance显示文摘Fossil bamboo leaves and pollen from Upper Miocene deposits of the Shengxian Formation in Tiantai and Ninghai counties,eastern Zhejiang,China represent a rare record in Asia.The distinctive pseudopetiole and parallel venation of the leaf blades and the clearly thickened annulus of the pollen aperture place them in the subfamily Bambusoideae.Morphological analysis supports the determination of these fossil leaves as belonging to the genus Bambusium and two new species are described.Bambusium latipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly wide pseudopetiole of 0.23 cm in width and 0.40 cm in length,several vascular bundles on parallel veins,and 5–8 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Bambusium longipseudopetiolus Q.J.Wang et B.N.Sun sp.nov.has a distinctly long pseudopetiole of 0.60 cm in length and 0.10 cm in width,several vascular bundles on the pseudopetiole,and 6 lateral veins on both sides of the midrib.Pollen grains from the same layer provide additional evidence of bamboos.They are characterized by 32.0–51.0 μm in diameter,a round pore 3.0–4.0 μm in diameter with a broad thickened annulus 2.5–3.5 μm around,and several conspicuous secondary folds on the exine surface.The morphological analysis leads to their assignment to Graminidites bambusoides Stuchlik.These fossils are important for the study of bamboo phytogeography in China.They demonstrate that there were bamboos growing in southeastern China during the Late Miocene and that bamboos in Zhejiang begin to diversify no later than the Late Miocene.In combination with bamboo fossils from other places,it seems that bamboos had a wide distribution across southern China during the Miocene,ranging from southwestern Yun'nan to southeastern Zhejiang. | WANG Qiujun MA Fujun YANG Yi DONG Junling WANG Haofei LI Ruiyun XU Xiaohui SUN Bainian | 2014 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2014,88,4: | 7 |
| 4 | New Schizolepis Fossils from the Early Cretaceous in Inner Mongolia, China and its Phylogenetic Position显示文摘Three Schizolepis species collected from the Lower Cretaceous layer of the Huolinhe Basin,Inner Mongolia,China are described.These fossils are Schizolepis longipetiolus Xu XH et Sun BN sp.nov.,which is a new species,Schizolepis cf.heilongjiangensis Zheng et Zhang,and Schizolepis neimengensis Deng.The new species is a well-preserved female cone,slender and cylindrical in shape.The seed–scale complexes have long petioles and are arranged on the cone axis loosely and helically.The seed scales are divided into two lobes from the base.Each lobe is semicircular or elongate ligulate in shape,widest at the middle or the lower middle part,with an obtuse or bluntly pointed apex.The inner margin is almost straight and the outer margin is strongly arched.On the surface of the lobe,there are longitudinal and somewhat radial striations from the base to the margin.The seed is borne on the adaxial surface at the base or middle of each lobe.Schizolepis was established in 1847,and,although more than twenty species have been discovered and reported,its phylogenetic position is controversial because of the imperfection of fossils.Most authors have considered there to be a close evolutionary relationship between Schizolepis and extant Pinaceae.Here,we analyze characteristics and compare Schizolepis with Picea crassifolia Kom,which is morphologically most similar to Schizolepis.The results indicate that the genus probably has a distant evolutionary relationship with extant Pinaceae.A detailed statistical analysis of the global paleogeographic distribution of Schizolepis showed that all the fossils of this genus appeared in strata ranging from the Upper Triassic to the Lower Cretaceous in the North Hemisphere,being rare in the Upper Triassic and Lower Jurassic,but being very common from the Middle Jurassic to the Lower Cretaceous,and particularly abundant in the Lower Cretaceous.According to the statistical results,we speculate that the genus originated in Europe in the Late Triassic then spread from Europe to Asia between the Late Triassic and the Late Jurassic.In the Early Cretaceous most species existed in China's three northeastern Provinces and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and adjacent areas.Combining the paleogeographic distribution of the genus with ancient climatic factors,we deduced that Schizolepis began to decline and became extinct in the Early Cretaceous,and the reason for its extinction is closely related to the icehouse climate during the Early Cretaceous. | XU Xiaohui LI Ruiyun DONG Chong WANG Qiujun JIN Peihong SUN Bainian | 2013 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,5: | 5 |
| 5 | Efficient lung cancer-targeted drug delivery via a nanoparticle/MSC system显示文摘Low targeting efficiency limits the applications of nanoparticles in cancer therapy. The fact that mesenchymal stem cells(MSC) trapped in the lung after systemic infusion is a disadvantage for cell therapy purposes. Here, we utilized MSC as lung cancer-targeted drug delivery vehicles by loading nanoparticles(NP)with anti-cancer drug. MSC showed a higher drug intake capacity than fibroblasts. In addition, MSC showed predominant lung trapping in both rabbit and monkey. IR-780 dye, a fluorescent probe used to represent docetaxel(DTX) in NP, delivered via MSC accumulated in the lung. Both in vitro MSC/A549 cell experiments and in vivo MSC/lung cancer experiments validated the intercellular transportation of NP between MSC and cancer cells. In vivo assays showed that the MSC/NP/DTX drug delivery system exerted primary tumor inhibition efficiency similar to that of a NP/DTX drug system. | 6 | Fossil Liverworts from the Lower Cretaceous Huolinhe Formation in Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘A new genus and species, Rebouliothallus huolinhensis sp. nov., and two uncertain species, Ricciopsis sp. and Hepaticites sp., are described. The fossils were collected from the Lower Cretaceous Huolinhe Formation of Huolinhe Basin, northeastern China. The new genus Rebouliothallus was established in the Aytoniaceae family of Marchantiales. Rebouliothallus huolinhensis appears to be quite similar to species of the extant genus Reboulia Raddi. The species is characterized by the relatively large ventral scales. Ventral scales are large, imbricate and arranged in two rows on the ventral surface. Rhizoids are either pegged or smooth. Ricciopsis sp. is characterized by the rosetteforming thallus. Hepaticites sp. shows some similarities to liverworts. Of the forty-nine Early Cretaceous floras of China, only two floras, one from the Huolinhe basin, Inner Mongolia and the other from the Jixi Basin, Heilongjiang Province, contain fossil liverworts. | 15 | A novel microcurrent dressing for wound healing in a rat skin defect model显示文摘Background:The exogenous application of low-intensity electric stimulation(ES)may mimic a natural endogenous bioelectric current and accelerate the repair process of skin wounds.This study designed a novel microcurrent dressing(MCD)and evaluated its potential effects on wound healing in a rat skin defect model.Methods:First,wireless ES was integrated into a medical cotton cushion to fabricate the MCD,and its electrical property was examined by using a universal power meter.Then,animal experiments were conducted to evaluate the MCD’s effect.Forty-five rats were randomized into control(Con)group,Vaseline gauze(VG)group and MCD group.A full-thickness round skin incision 1.5 cm in diameter was made on the back of each animal.Apart from routine disinfection,the Con rats were untreated,whereas the other two groups were treated with VG or MCD.On days 3,7 and 14 post injury,the wound areas were observed and measured using image analysis software following photography,and the skin samples were harvested from wound tissue.Then,histopathological morphology was observed routinely by hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining;tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α)and interleukin(IL)-1βexpression were detected by Western blotting.Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and epidermal growth factor(EGF)expression were detected with immunohistochemistry.Results:The MCD generated a sf electric potential greater than 0.95 V.Animal experiments showed that the woundhealing rate in the MCD group was significantly increased compared with the Con and VG groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Histopathological observation revealed an alleviated inflammatory response,induced vascular proliferation and accelerated epithelization in the MCD group.Moreover,samples from the MCD group expressed reduced TNF-αand IL-1βlevels and increased VEGF and EGF levels compared with those of the other two groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).However,no significant difference was noted between the Con and VG groups at each time point.Conclusions:The MCD generates a stable and lasting ES and significantly promotes wound healing by reducing inflammation duration and increasing growth factors expression.Thus,MCD may act as a promising biomaterial device for skin wound healing. | Chao Yu Zhi-Xiu Xu Yan-Hui Hao Ya-Bing Gao Bin-Wei Yao Jing Zhang Bing Wang Zong-Qian Hu RuiYun Peng | 2020 | Military Medical Research2020,7,2: | 0 |

| 17 | Study on the distribution characteristics of faults and their control over petroliferous basins in the China seas and its adjacent areas显示文摘As one of the main controlling factors of oil and gas accumulation,faults are closely related to the distribution of oil and gas reservoirs.Studying how faults control petroliferous basins is particularly important.In this work,we investigated the plane positions of major faults in the China seas and its adjacent areas using the normalized vertical derivative of the total horizontal derivative(NVDR-THDR)of the Bouguer gravity anomaly,the fusion results of gravity and magnetic anomalies,and the residual Bouguer gravity anomaly.The apparent depths of major faults in the China seas and its adjacent areas were inverted using the Tilt-Euler method based on the Bouguer gravity anomaly.The results show that the strikes of the faults in the China seas and its adjacent areas are mainly NE and NW,followed by EW,and near-SN.Among them,the lengths of most ultra-crustal faults are in the range of 1000–3000 km,and their apparent depths lie between 10 km and 40 km.The lengths of crustal faults lie between 300 km and 1000 km,and their apparent depths are between 0 km and 20 km.According to the plane positions and apparent depths of the faults,we put forward the concept of fault influence factor for the first time.Based on this factor,the key areas for oil and gas exploration were found as follows:the east of South North China Basin in the intracontinental rift basins;the southeast region of East China Sea Shelf Basin,the Taixinan and Qiongdongnan basins in the continental margin rift basins;Zhongjiannan Basin in the strike-slip pull-apart basins;the Liyue,Beikang,and the Nanweixi basins in the rifted continental basins.This work provides valuable insights into oil and gas exploration,mineral resource exploration,and deep geological structure research in the China seas and its adjacent areas. | Xin’gang Luo Wanyin Wang Ying Chen Zhizhao Bai Dingding Wang Tao He Yimi Zhang Ruiyun Ma | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,3: | 0 |
