| 1 | Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite scintillators for mixed field radiation detection显示文摘Sensitive and fast detection of neutrons and gamma rays is vital for homeland security,high-energy physics, and proton therapy.Fast-neutron detectors rely on light organic scintillators,andγ-ray detectors use heavy inorganic scintillators and semiconductors.Efficient mixed-field detection using a single material is highly challenging due to their contradictory requirements. Here we report hybrid perovskites(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)that combine light organic cations and heavy inorganic skeletons at a molecular level to achieve unprecedented performance for mixed-field radiation detection.High neutron absorption due to a high density of hydrogen, strong radiative recombination within the highly confined[PbX_(6)]^(4-)layer,and sub-nanometer distance between absorption sites and radiative centers, enable a light yield of 41000 photons/MeV,detection pulse width of 2.97 ns and extraordinary linearity response toward both fast neutrons andγ-rays,outperforming commonly used fast-neutron scintillators.Neutron energy spectrum,time-of-flight based fast-neutron/γ-ray discrimination and neutron yield monitoring were all successfully achieved using(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)detectors.We further demonstrate the monitoring of reaction kinetics and total power of a nuclear fusion reaction. We envision that molecular hybridized scintillators open a new avenue for mixed-field radiation detection and imaging. | Mengling Xia Guangda Niu Linyue Liu Runlong Gao Tong Jin Pengying Wan Weicheng Pan Xianpeng Zhang Zuoxiang Xie Sam Teale Zenghua Cai Jiajun Luo Shan Zhao Haodi Wu Shiyou Chen Zhiping Zheng Qingguo Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Edward HSargent Jiang Tang | 2022 | InfoMat2022,4,9: | 2 |
| 2 | Accurate reconstruction of soft X-ray energy spectrum in detector response matrix显示文摘In this paper, we report the design of a Monte Carlo simulation for the energy spectrum measurement system based on the ladderabsorption method. Herein, the detector response matrix can be calculated using the detector responses to several monochromatic X-ray beams. A novel soft X-ray spectrum unfolding method based on the two-step reverse iteration(TSRI) algorithm is applied to acquire the primary spectrum. This paper provides examples of the use of TSRI, and the unfolded energy spectra for the soft Xray beams show excellent agreement with the references. The unfolded energy spectra obtained using the TSRI exhibit better accuracy than those obtained from the commonly used unfolding code GRAVEL. | RunLong Gao Yang Liu XiaoPing Ouyang Jing Chen Xiao Ouyang | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,12: | 2 |
| 3 | Latest developments in room-temperature semiconductor neutron detectors: Prospects and challenges显示文摘Semiconductor-based neutron-detectors are characterized by small size, high energy-resolution, good spatial resolution, and stable response(at the depletion voltage). Consequently, these neutron-detectors are important for the fields of nuclear proliferation prevention, oil exploration, monitoring neutron-scattering experiments, cancer treatments, and space radiation effect research. However, there are some well-known problems for conventional silicon-based neutron detectors: low neutron-detection efficiency and limited resistance to radiation. Therefore, critical improvements are needed to enable sufficiently effective and practical neutron detection. To address these problems, direct-conversion neutron detectors as well as wide bandgap semiconductor-based detectors have been developed and studied intensely during the past years. Significant progress with respect to detection efficiency, radiation resistance, and room temperature operation was achieved. This paper reviews the latest research highlights, remaining challenges, and emerging technologies of direct-conversion neutron detectors as well as wide-bandgap semiconductor neutron detectors. This compact review serves as a reference for researchers interested in the design and development of improved neutron detectors in the future. | Linyue Liu Xiao Ouyang Runlong Gao Pengying Wan Xiaoping Ouyang | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,3: | 0 |
| 4 | MouseVenue3D:A Markerless Three-Dimension Behavioral Tracking System for Matching Two-Photon Brain Imaging in Free-Moving Mice显示文摘Understanding the connection between brain and behavior in animals requires precise monitoring of their behaviors in three-dimensional(3-D)space.However,there is no available three-dimensional behavior capture system that focuses on rodents. Here,we present MouseVenue3D,an automated and low-cost system for the efficient capture of 3-D skeleton trajectories in markerless rodents. We improved the most time-consuming step in 3-D behavior capturing by developing an automatic calibration module. Then,we validated this process in behavior recognition tasks, and showed that 3-D behavioral data achieved higher accuracy than 2-D data.Subsequently,MouseVenue3D was combined with fast high-resolution miniature two-photon microscopy for synchronous neural recording and behavioral tracking in the freely-moving mouse. Finally,we successfully decoded spontaneous neuronal activity from the 3-D behavior of mice. Our findings reveal that subtle, spontaneous behavior modules are strongly correlated with spontaneous neuronal activity patterns. | Yaning Han Kang Huang Ke Chen Hongli Pan Furong Ju Yueyue Long Gao Gao Runlong Wu Aimin Wang Liping Wang Pengfei Wei | 2022 | Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,3: | 0 |
