| 14 | Integration of molecular testing for the personalized management of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma显示文摘Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)and follicular lymphoma(FL)are the most common forms of aggressive and indolent lymphoma,respectively.The majority of patients are cured by standard R-CHOP immunochemotherapy,but 30%–40%of DLBCL and 20%of FL patients relapse or are refractory(R/R).DLBCL and FL are phenotypically and genetically hereterogenous B-cell neoplasms.To date,the diagnosis of DLBCL and FL has been based on morphology,immunophenotyping and cytogenetics.However,next-generation sequencing(NGS)is widening our understanding of the genetic basis of the B-cell lymphomas.In this review we will discuss how integrating the NGS-based characterization of somatic gene mutations with diagnostic or prognostic value in DLBCL and FL could help refine B-cell lymphoma classification as part of a multidisciplinary pathology work-up.We will also discuss how molecular testing can identify candidates for clinical trials with targeted therapies and help predict therapeutic outcome to currently available treatments,including chimeric antigen receptor T-cell,as well as explore the application of circulating cell-free DNA,a non-invasive method for patient monitoring.We conclude that molecular analyses can drive improvements in patient outcomes due to an increased understanding of the different pathogenic pathways affected by each DLBCL subtype and indolent FL vs R/R FL. | Ruth Stuckey Hugo Luzardo Henríquez Haridian de la Nuez Melian JoséCarlos Rivero Vera Cristina Bilbao-Sieyro María Teresa Gómez-Casares | 2023 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2023，14，4： | 0 |
| 15 | Incorporation of SCBA in Red Ceramics and Sintering in Microwave Oven显示文摘The present study investigated the incorporation of sugarcane bagasse ash(SCBA)in red ceramics,sintered in conventional oven and microwave oven,aiming to provide an alternative product,and a sintering process with higher energy efficiency in the production of red ceramics.The raw materials were characterized by XRF,XRD,thermogravimetry,particle size distribution and specific mass analyses.The specimens were shaped by extrusion in two different compositions,red clay and red clay with addition of 20%SCBA and sintered at temperatures from 700 to 1100℃.The conventional sintering occurred for 60 min with heating rate of 10℃/min.In the microwave oven the sintering occurred in a hybrid way,with heating rate of 50℃/min for 5,10 and 15 mins.After sintering the tests of linear shrinkage,compressive strength,water absorption,apparent porosity and apparent specific mass were performed.The addition of SCBA causes an increase in the values of water absorption and decreases the compressive strength and specific mass of the red ceramic.This occurs due to the creation of pores inside the material from the volatilization of organic matter present in the ashes.The sintering in microwave oven,when compared to conventional sintering,promotes an increase in the values of compressive strength and specific mass and reduction of water absorption values of ceramics,probably due to the refinement of the microstructure and the higher densification.Thus the incorporation of ashes can be partially compensated by a more efficient sintering.The use of SCBA and the sintering in microwave oven,showed to be viable alternatives in the development of a more sustainable and light material,promoting the management of waste,reduction in the consumption of raw materials and energy saving. | Gabriela Pitolli Lyra Valdemir Santos Eliria Maria de Jesus Agnolon Pallone Ruth Herta Goldschmidt Aliaga Kiminami Bruno Carlos De Santis João Adriano Rossignolo | 2021 | Non-Metallic Material Science2021，3，2： | 0 |
| 16 | CT colonography:Friend or foe of practicing endoscopists显示文摘AIM:To investigate the perceived impact of computed tomographic colonography(CTC) on endoscopists' current and future practice.METHODS:A 21-question survey was mailed to 1570 randomly chosen American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy(ASGE) members.Participants reported socio-demographics,colonoscopy volume,percentage of colonoscopies performed for screening,and likelihood of integration of CTC into their practice.RESULTS:A total of 367 ASGE members(23%) returned the questionnaire.Respondents were predominantly male(> 90%) and white(83%) with an average age of 49 years.Most respondents(58%) had no plans to incorporate CTC into daily practice and only 7% had already incorporated CTC into daily practice.Private practice respondents were the least likely to incorporate this modality into their daily practice(P=0.047).Forty-three percent of participants were willing to take courses on CTC reading,particularly those with the highest volume of colonoscopy(P=0.049).Forty percent of participants were unsure of CTC's impact on future colonoscopy volume while 21% and 18% projected a decreased and increased volume,respectively.The estimated impact of CTC volume varied significantly by age(P=0.002).Respondents > 60 years felt that CTC would increase colonoscopy,whereas those < 40 years thought CTC would ultimately decrease colonoscopy.CONCLUSION:Practicing endoscopists are not enthusiastic about the incorporation of CTC into their daily practice and are unsure of its future impact on their practice. | Stacy B Menees Ruth Carlos James Scheiman Grace H Elta A Mark Fendrick | 2009 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy2009，1，1： | 0 |
