| 1 | Changes in plant community diversity and aboveground biomass along with altitude within an alpine meadow on the Three-River source region显示文摘The grassland is an important component of terrestrial ecosystems and plays a significant role in biodiversity and ecosystem functions.In the present study,the changes of plant species diversity and aboveground biomass productivity were examined along with the altitude in natural alpine grassland in the source region of three rivers on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.Eleven experimental locations were selected with altitudes ranging from 3862 to 4450 m above sea level(a.s.l.).The results indicated that Kobresia pygmaea meadow,Kobresia humilis meadow and Salix cupularis shrub meadow had higher indices of diversity and aboveground biomass.The distribution of species diversity,richness and aboveground biomass showed similarly unimodal patterns across the altitude gradient with the highest indices appeared at mid-altitudes locations.The changing trend of species diversity,richness and evenness also showed significant unimodal patterns with total aboveground biomass,and the highest species diversity occurred at intermediate level of productivities.This research would provide a valuable reference for the protection of grassland biodiversity and maintaining of the grazing ecosystem function in the source region of the Three Rivers. | SA WenJun AN LiZhe SA Wei | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,27: | 10 |
| 2 | Is graphite lithiophobic or lithiophilic?显示文摘Graphite and lithium metal are two classic anode materials and their composite has shown promising performance for rechargeable batteries.However,it is generally accepted that Li metal wets graphite poorly,causing its spreading and infiltration difficult.Here we show that graphite can either appear superlithiophilic or lithiophobic,depending on the local redox potential.By comparing the wetting performance of highly ordered pyrolytic graphite,porous carbon paper(PCP),lithiated PCP and graphite powder,we demonstrate that the surface contaminants that pin the contact-line motion and cause contact-angle hysteresis have their own electrochemical-stability windows.The surface contaminants can be either removed or reinforced in a time-dependent manner,depending on whether the reducing agents(C6→Li C6)or the oxidizing agents(air,moisture)dominate in the ambient environment,leading to bifurcating dynamics of either superfast or superslow wetting.Our findings enable new fabrication technology for Li–graphite composite with a controllable Li-metal/graphite ratio and present great promise for the mass production of Li-based anodes for use in high-energy-density batteries. | Jian Duan Yuheng Zheng Wei Luo Wangyan Wu Tengrui Wang Yong Xie Sa Li Ju Li Yunhui Huang | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,7: | 8 |
| 3 | Review of Chinese atmospheric science research over the past 70 years: Synoptic meteorology显示文摘Synoptic meteorology is a branch of meteorology that uses synoptic weather observations and charts for the diagnosis,study,and forecasting of weather.Weather refers to the specific state of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface during a short period of time.The spatial distribution of meteorological elements in the atmosphere can be represented by a variety of transient weather phenomena,which are caused by weather systems of different spatial and temporal scales.Weather is closely related to people’s life,and its development and evolution have always been the focus of atmospheric scientific research and operation.The development of synoptic meteorology is closely related to the development of observation systems,dynamical theories and numerical models.In China,observation networks have been built since the early 1950 s.Up to now,a comprehensive meteorological observation systembased on ground,air and space has been established.In particular,the development of a new generation of dense radar networks,the development of the Fengyun satellite series and the implementation of a series of large field experiments have brought our understanding of weather from large-scale environment to thermal dynamics,cloud microphysical structure and evolution characteristics of meso and micro-scale weather systems.The development of observation has also promoted the development of theory,numerical model and simulation.In the early days,China mainly used foreign numerical models.Lately,China has developed numerical model systems with independent intellectual property rights.Based on the results of high-resolution numerical simulations,in-depth understanding of the initiation and evolution mechanism and predictability of weather at different scales has been obtained.Synoptic meteorology has gradually changed from an initially independent development to a multidisciplinary approach,and the interaction between weather and the change of climate and environment has become a hot and frontier topic in atmospheric science.This paper reviews the important scientific and technological achievements made in China over the past 70 years in the fields of synoptic meteorology based on the literatures in China and abroad,from six aspects respectively including atmospheric dynamics,synoptic-scale weather,typhoon and tropical weather,severe convective weather,numerical weather prediction and data assimilation,weather and climate,atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment. | Zhiyong MENG Fuqing ZHANG Dehai LUO Zhemin TAN Juan FANG Jianhua SUN Xueshun SHEN Yunji ZHANG Shuguang WANG Wei HAN Kun ZHAO Lei ZHU Yongyun HU Huiwen XUE Yaping MA Lijuan ZHANG Ji NIE Ruilin ZHOU Sa LI Hongjun LIU Yuning ZHU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 7 |

| 5 | Enhancing hydrogen evolution of MoS_(2) basal planes by combining single-boron catalyst and compressive strain显示文摘M0 S2 is a promising candidate for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),while its active sites are mainly distributed on the edge sites rather than the basal plane sites.Herein,a strategy to overcome the inertness of the M0 S2 basal surface and achieve high HER activity by combining single-boron catalyst and compressive strain was reported through density functional theory(DFT)computations.The ab initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)simulation on B@MoS2 suggests high thermodynamic and kinetic stability.We found that the rather strong adsorption of hydrogen by B@MoS2 can be alleviated by stress engineering.The optimal stress of -7%can achieve a nearly zero value of △Gh(〜-0.084 eV),which is close to that of the ideal Pt-SACs for HER.The novel HER activity is attributed to(i)the Bdoping brings the active site to the basal plane of M0 S2 and reduces the band-gap,thereby increasing the conductivity;(ii)the compressive stress regulates the number of charge transfer between(H)-(B)-(MoS2),weakening the adsorption energy of hydrogen on B@MoS2.Moreover,we constructed a SiN/B@MoS2 heterojunction,which introduces an 8.6%compressive stress for B@MoS2 and yields an ideal AGh-This work provides an effective means to achieve high intrinsic HER activity for M0 S2. | Zhitao Cui Wei Du Chengwei Xiao Qiaohong Li Rongjian Sa Chenghua Sun Zuju Ma | 2020 | Frontiers of physics2020,15,6: | 4 |
| 6 | 3D uniform nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton for ultra-stable sodium metal anode显示文摘Sodium metal batteries are arousing extensive interest owing to their high energy density,low cost and wide resource.However,the practical development of sodium metal batteries is inherently plagued by the severe volume expansion and the dendrite growth of sodium metal anode during long cycles under high current density.Herein,a simple electrospinning method is applied to construct the uniformly nitrogen-doped porous carbon fiber skeleton and used as three-dimensional(3D)current collector for sodium metal anode,which has high specific surface area(1,098 m^2/g)and strong binding to sodium metal.As a result,nitrogen-doped carbon fiber current collector shows a low sodium deposition overpotential and a highly stable cyclability for 3,500 h with a high coulombic effciency of 99.9%at 2 mA/cm^2 and 2 mAh/cm^2.Moreover,the full cells using carbon coated sodium vanadium phosphate as cathode and sodium pre-plated nitrogen-doped carbon fiber skeleton as hybrid anode can stably cycle for 300 times.These results illustrate an effective strategy to construct a 3D uniformly nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton based sodium metal hybrid anode without the formation of dendrites,which provide a prospect for further development and research of high performance sodium metal batteries. | Ben Liu Danni Lei Jin Wang Qingfei Zhang Yinggan Zhang Wei He Hongfei Zheng Baisheng Sa Qingshui Xie Dong-Liang Peng Baihua Qu | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,8: | 3 |

The bonding nature for ordering orthorhombic Ti_(2)AlNb was revealed quantitatively through the electronic structure analyzing. The external pressures play limited roles in the elastic anisotropy of the alloy due to the outstanding dynamical and mechanical stabilities under pressure. However, the shear modulus of O phase manifests anisotropic, where {010} shear planes are the easiest planes to cleave among the principal planes under all pressures.The heat capacities, volume expansions and thermal expansion coefficients were calculated using the quasi-harmonic approximation model based on the phonon dispersion curves. Meanwhile, the bulk modulus, Young’s modulus,shear modulus and the hardness are promptly enhanced under pressure.
