1Standard triple therapy for Helicobacter pylori infection in China: A meta-analysis显示文摘AIM:To assess the efficacy and safety of standard triple therapy compared with other pre-existing and new therapies in China.METHODS:Literature searches were conducted in the following databases:PubMed,EMBASE,the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,the VIP database,the China National Knowledge Infrastructure database,and the Chinese Biomedical Database.A meta-analysis of all randomized controlled trials(RCTs)comparing standard triple therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori with pre-existing and new therapies in China was performed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 2.0.There were 49 studies that met our criteria and the qualities of these studies were assessed using the Jadad scale.The Mantel-Haenszel method was used for pooling dichotomous data.We also conducted subgroupanalyses according to age,duration of treatment and drug type.Sensitivity analyses and a cumulative metaanalysis were also performed with CMA 2.0.Publication bias was evaluated using Egger’s test,Begg’s test or a funnel plot.RESULTS:A total of 49 RCTs including 8332 patients were assessed.This meta-analysis showed that standard triple therapy with proton pump inhibitors(PPIs),amoxicillin(AMO)and clarithromycin(CLA)was inferior to sequential therapy[relative risk(RR)=0.863;95%confidence interval(CI):0.824-0.904],but was not superior to quadruple therapy(RR=1.073;95%CI:0.849-1.357)or other triple therapies(RR=1.01;95%CI:0.936-1.089).The meta-analysis also suggested that standard triple therapy is slightly more effective than dual therapy(RR=1.14;95%CI:0.99-1.31).However,the differences were not statistically significant.We removed the only trial with a regimen lasting14 d by sensitivity analysis and found that 7-d standard triple therapy was superior to 7-d dual therapy(RR=1.222;95%CI:1.021-1.461).Moreover,a sub-analysis based on the duration of quadruple therapy indicated that the 7-d and 10-d standard triple therapies were inferior to sequential therapy(RR=0.790;95%CI:0.718-0.868;RR=0.917;95%CI:0.839-1.002,respectively).Additionally,there were no significant differences in cure rate or adverse events among standard triple therapy,quadruple therapy,and other triple therapies(RR=0.940;95%CI:0.825-1.072;RR=1.081;95%CI:0.848-1.378,respectively).Standard triple therapy had a higher occurrence of side effects than sequential therapy(RR=1.283;95%CI:1.066-1.544).CONCLUSION:The eradication rates with a standard triple therapy consisting of PPI,AMO,and CLA are suboptimal in China,and new treatment agents need to be developed.Ben Wang Zhi-Fa Lv You-Hua Wang Hui Wang Xiao-Qun Liu Yong Xie Xiao-Jiang Zhou 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,40:46
2Measurement and Interpretation of Connectivity of Chinese Cities in World City Network,2010显示文摘This is an empirical paper that measures and interprets the position of Chinese cities in the world city network in 2010. Building on a specification of the world city network as a′interlocking network′in which business services firms play the crucial role in city network formation, information is gathered about the presence of global service firms in cities. This information is converted into data to provide the′service value′of a city for a firm′s provision of corporate services in a 526(cities)×175(firms) matrix. These data are then used as the input to the interlocking network model in order to measure cities′connectivity and its predominant geographical orientation. 4Effect of local wound infiltration with ropivacaine on postoperative pain relief and stress response reduction after open hepatectomy显示文摘AIM To prospectively evaluate the effect of local wound infiltration with ropivacaine on postoperative pain relief and stress response reduction after open hepatectomy.METHODS A total of 56 patients undergoing open hepatectomy were randomly divided into two groups:a ropivacaine group(wound infiltration with ropivacaine solution)and a control group(infiltration with isotonic saline solution).A visual analog scale(VAS)at rest and on movement was used to measure postoperative pain for the first 48 h after surgery.Mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),time to bowel recovery,length of hospitalization after surgery,cumulative sufentanil consumption,and incidence of nausea and vomiting were compared between the two groups.Surgical stress hormones(epinephrine,norepinephrine,and cortisol)were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and the results were compared. RESULTS VAS scores both at rest and on movement at 24 h and48 h were similar between the two groups.Significantly lower VAS scores were detected at 0,6,and 12 h in the ropivacaine group compared with the control group(P<0.05 for all).MAP was significantly lower at 6,12,and 24 h(P<0.05 for all);HR was significantly lower at 0,6,12,and 24 h(P<0.05 for all);time to bowel recovery and length of hospitalization after surgery(P<0.05 for both)were significantly shortened;and cumulative sufentanil consumption was significantly lower at 6,12,24,and 36 h(P<0.05 for all)in the ropivacaine group than in the control group,although the incidence of nausea and vomiting showed no significant difference between the two groups.The levels of epinephrine,norepinephrine,and cortisol were significantly lower in the ropivacaine group than in the control group at 24 and 48 h(P<0.01 for all). 6Changing Connectivities of Chinese Cities in the World City Network,2010–2016显示文摘Against the backdrop of the sizable economic growth of China in recent years, this paper uses the most recent data gathering of the Globalization and World Cities(Ga WC) research network to update and supplement earlier research on the shifting global connectivity of Chinese cities. The update consists of an evaluation of the connectivity of Chinese cities in 2016, the supplement of an analysis of the changing position of Chinese cities in the world city network between 2010 and 2016. To this end, we build on a specification of the world city network as an ‘interlocking network' in which producer services firms play the crucial role in city network formation. Information about the presence of leading producer services firms in cities in 2010 and 2016 is used as the input to a bipartite network projection algorithm in order to measure cities' network connectivity. The first set of results discusses the geographies of urban connectivity in the world city network in 2016. The second set of results discusses standardized measures of change to reveal the major dimensions of the transformations between 2010 and 2016. We find that, with the exception of Hong Kong, Macao and Kaohsiung of Taiwan, all Chinese cities record connectivity gains. This wholesale rise in connectivity is nonetheless geographically uneven, with above all Beijing, Chengdu/Chongqing and Changsha/Wuhan becoming more connected. 7The China Multi-Model Ensemble Prediction System and Its Application to Flood-Season Prediction in 2018显示文摘Multi-model ensemble prediction is an effective approach for improving the prediction skill short-term climate prediction and evaluating related uncertainties. Based on a combination of localized operation outputs of Chinese climate models and imported forecast data of some international operational models, the National Climate Center of the China Meteorological Administration has established the China multi-model ensemble prediction system version 1.0 (CMMEv1.0) for monthly-seasonal prediction of primary climate variability modes and climate elements. We verified the real-time forecasts of CMMEv1.0 for the 2018 flood season (June-August) starting from March 2018 and evaluated the 1991-2016 hindcasts of CMMEv1.0. The results show that CMMEv1.0 has a significantly high prediction skill for global sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies, especially for the El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the tropical central-eastern Pacific. Additionally, its prediction skill for the North Atlantic SST triple (NAST) mode is high, but is relatively low for the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) mode. Moreover, CMMEv1.0 has high skills in predicting the western Pacific subtropical high (WPSH) and East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) in the June-July-August (JJA) season. The JJA air temperature in the CMMEv1.0 is predicted with a fairly high skill in most regions of China, while the JJA precipitation exhibits some skills only in northwestern and eastern China. For real-time forecasts in March-August 2018, CMMEv1.0 has accurately predicted the ENSO phase transition from cold to neutral in the tropical central-eastern Pacific and captures evolutions of the NAST and IOD indices in general. The system has also captured the main features of the summer WPSH and EASM indices in 2018, except that the predicted EASM is slightly weaker than the observed. 8Extracellular vesicles from human urine-derived stem cells prevent osteoporosis by transferring CTHRC1 and OPG显示文摘Osteoporosis is a debilitating bone disease affecting millions of people. Here, we used human urine-derived stem cells(USCs),which were noninvasively harvested from unlimited and easily available urine, as a 'factory' to obtain extracellular vesicles(USCEVs) and demonstrated that the systemic injection of USC-EVs effectively alleviates bone loss and maintains bone strength in osteoporotic mice by enhancing osteoblastic bone formation and suppressing osteoclastic bone resorption. More importantly, the anti-osteoporotic properties of USC-EVs are not notably disrupted by the age, gender, or health condition(with or without osteoporosis) of the USC donor. Mechanistic studies determined that collagen triple-helix repeat containing 1(CTHRC1) and osteoprotegerin(OPG) proteins are enriched in USC-EVs and required for USC-EV-induced pro-osteogenic and anti-osteoclastic effects. 9Prediction of Primary Climate Variability Modes at the Beijing Climate Center显示文摘Climate variability modes, usually known as primary climate phenomena, are well recognized as the most important predictability sources in subseasonal–interannual climate prediction. This paper begins by reviewing the research and development carried out, and the recent progress made, at the Beijing Climate Center(BCC) in predicting some primary climate variability modes. These include the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO), Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO), and Arctic Oscillation(AO), on global scales, as well as the sea surface temperature(SST) modes in the Indian Ocean and North Atlantic, western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH), and the East Asian winter and summer monsoons(EAWM and EASM, respectively), on regional scales. Based on its latest climate and statistical models, the BCC has established a climate phenomenon prediction system(CPPS) and completed a hindcast experiment for the period 1991–2014. The performance of the CPPS in predicting such climate variability modes is systematically evaluated. The results show that skillful predictions have been made for ENSO, MJO, the Indian Ocean basin mode, the WPSH, and partly for the EASM, whereas less skillful predictions were made for the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD) and North Atlantic SST Tripole, and no clear skill at all for the AO, subtropical IOD, and EAWM. 11Rapid detection of multiple class pharmaceuticals in both municipal wastewater and sludge with ultra high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry显示文摘This work described the development,optimization and validation of an analytical method for rapid detection of multiple-class pharmaceuticals in both municipal wastewater and sludge samples based on ultrasonic solvent extraction,solid-phase extraction,and ultra high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry quantification.The results indicated that the developed method could effectively extract all the target pharmaceuticals(25)in a single process and analyze them within 24 min.The recoveries of the target pharmaceuticals were in the range of 69%–131%for wastewater and 54%–130%for sludge at different spiked concentration levels.The method quantification limits in wastewater and sludge ranged from 0.02 to 0.73 ng/L and from 0.02 to 1.00μg/kg,respectively.Subsequently,this method was validated and applied for residual pharmaceutical analysis in a wastewater treatment plant located in Beijing,China.All the target pharmaceuticals were detected in the influent samples with concentrations varying from0.09 ng/L(tiamulin)to 15.24μg/L(caffeine);meanwhile,up to 23 pharmaceuticals were detected in sludge samples with concentrations varying from 60 ng/kg(sulfamethizole)to8.55 mg/kg(ofloxacin).The developed method demonstrated its selectivity,sensitivity,and reliability for detecting multiple-class pharmaceuticals in complex matrices such as municipal wastewater and sludge.Xiangjuan Yuan Zhimin Qiang Weiwei Ben Bing Zhu Junxin Liu 2014Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,9:12
12Biogeographic distribution patterns of algal community in different urban lakes in China: Insights into the dynamics and co-existence显示文摘Urban lake ecosystems are significant for social development,but currently we know little about the geographical distribution of algal community in urban lakes at a large-scale.In this study,we investigated the algal community structure in different areas of urban lakes in China and evaluated the influence of water quality parameters and geographical location on the algal community.The results showed that obvious differences in water quality and algal communities were observed among urban lakes in different geographical areas.Chlorophyta was the dominant phylum,followed by cyanobacteria in all areas.The network analysis indicated that algal community composition in urban lakes of the western and southern area showed more variations than the eastern and northern areas,respectively.Redundancy analysis and structural equation model revealed that nutrients and p H were dominant environmental factors that affected the algal community,and they showed higher influence than that of iron,manganese and COD Mn concentration.Importantly,algal community and density exhibited longitude and latitude relationship.In general,these results provided an ecological insight into large-scale geographical distributions of algal community in urban lakes,thereby having potential applications for management of the lakes.Haihan Zhang Rongrong Zong Huiyan He Kaiwen Liu Miaomiao Yan Yutian Miao Ben Ma Xin Huang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2:9

14MicroRNA155 is induced in activated CD4^+ T cells of TNBS-induced colitis in mice显示文摘AIM:To investigate the expression of microRNA155(miRNA155)in trinitrobenzene sulphonic acid(TNBS)induced colitis and the relationship between miRNA155 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)expressions.METHODS:In TNBS colitis mice,miRNA155 and TNF mRNA expressions were measured in colons and CD4 + T cells of draining lymph nodes(LNs).CD4 + T cells were cultured in vitro with or without anti-CD3/CD28 antibody,and the expressions of miRNA155 and TNF mRNA in cells and TNF concentration in culture media were examined.RESULTS:miRNA155 and TNF mRNA expressions in colons and in cells of LNs were significantly increased in TNBS colitis compared with controls.In TNBS colitis,miRNA155 and TNF mRNA expressions in CD4 + T cells of LNs and TNF concentration in CD4 + T cells culture media increased compared with controls.When cultured with anti-CD3/CD28 antibody,miRNA155 and TNF mRNA expressions in CD4 + T cells and TNF concentration in the CD4 + T cells culture media were significantly higher than those cultured without anti-CD3/CD28 antibody.Following analysis using the Pearson's correlation coefficient,miRNA155 expression had a significant positive correlation with either TNF mRNA expression in CD4 + T cells(r=0.860,P<0.05)or TNF concentration in CD4 + T cells culture media(r=0.892,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:miRNA155 is induced in colons and activated CD4 + T cells in TNBS colitis,and the levels of miRNA155 and TNF expressions have a significant positive correlation.Chen, Da-Fan Gong, Bang-Dong Xie, Qing Ben, Qi-Wen Liu, Jun Yuan, Yao-Zong 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,7:8
15Mechanism of acupuncture regulating visceral sensation and mobility显示文摘Chinese ancient medical scientists have long focused on the internal and external contacts between acupoints on the surface of the body and the viscera.The Miraculous Pivot(it is one of the earliest medical classics in China)stated,“Twelve regular channels belong to the zang-fu organs internally,and connect to the extremities and joints externally.”Traditional Chinese medicine considers acupoints as defined areas where the Qi of viscera and meridians are transfused.These include the reaction points of visceral diseases on the body surface as well as the acupuncture trigger points that promote the flow of Qi and blood,and regulate visceral function.Chinese ancient medical scientists classified the specificity of the main acupoints in the body based on the meridian doctrine,which has been instructing clinical application for about 2000 years.Laws on the domino effect of acupoints have mainly focused on conclusions to clinical experiences.Indications of some acupoints exceed the practical paradigm since the excessive extension occurred during theory derivation.The current research direction on acupuncture focuses on three aspects:the effectiveness of acupuncture and moxibustion;the relevances and associations between meridians and viscera;and the physical and chemical properties and relevant physical basis of acupoints.The relevance between meridians and viscera is the central theory in the meridian doctrine,and acupoints are regarded as an important link in the relationship between meridians and viscera.Specific relationships between acupoints and target organs exist.Stimulating different acupoints on the body surface can help deal with different diseases,especially visceral diseases.In addition,acupoints have a dual function of reflecting and treating visceral diseases.There is no systemic research available on acupoint specificity,despite current knowledge and clinical experiences,which results in a weak foundation for acupuncture theory.This study focuses on the relevance and associations between meridians and viscera.A summary of the mechanisms of acupuncture regulating visceral sensation and mobility and the specific relationships between acupoints and their target organs are presented in this review.Peijing Rong Bing Zhu Yuqing Li Xinyan Gao Hui Ben Yanhua Li Liang Li Wei He Rupeng Liu Lingling Yu 2011Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,2:8
16Vertically Aligned Silicon Carbide Nanowires/Boron Nitride Cellulose Aerogel Networks Enhanced Thermal Conductivity and Electromagnetic Absorbing of Epoxy Composites显示文摘With the innovation of microelectronics technology, the heat dissipation problem inside the device will face a severe test. In this work, cellulose aerogel(CA) with highly enhanced thermal conductivity(TC) in vertical planes was successfully obtained by constructing a vertically aligned silicon carbide nanowires(SiC NWs)/boron nitride(BN) network via the ice template-assisted strategy. The unique network structure of SiC NWs connected to BN ensures that the TC of the composite in the vertical direction reaches 2.21 W m^(-1) K^(-1) at a low hybrid filler loading of 16.69 wt%, which was increased by 890% compared to pure epoxy(EP). In addition, relying on unique porous network structure of CA, EP-based composite also showed higher TC than other comparative samples in the horizontal direction. Meanwhile, the composite exhibits good electrically insulating with a volume electrical resistivity about 2.35 × 10^(11) Ω cm and displays excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss of-21.5 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth(<-10 dB) from 8.8 to 11.6 GHz. 17A Hybrid Deep Sea Navigation System of LBL/DR Integration Based on UKF and PSO-SVM显示文摘In order to improve the navigation accuracy of human occupied vehicle(HOV)precisely and efficiently,an innovative hybrid approach based on unscented Kalman filter(UKF)and support vector machine(SVM)is proposed to fuse integrated navigation data.HOV is generally equipped with long baseline(LBL)acoustic positioning system and dead reckoning(DR)as an integrated navigation system.UKF is adopted to estimate the state of the dynamic model because of its good performance in filtering nonlinear problems.An accurate and stable filtering result can be obtained when both LBL and DR are online.At the same time,SVM is utilized to train DR information with the result when LBL outrages,and the particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is employed for SVM parameters optimization.Therefore,the integrated navigation system can maintain a good performance when the LBL is off-line.Simulation results with the real navigation data of Jiaolong HOV show that the methodology proposed here is able to meet the needs of HOV application.LIU Ben LIU Kaizhou WANG Yanyan ZHAO Yang CUI Shengguo WANG Xiaohui 2015机器人2015,37,5:7
18An Overview of Mineral Dust Modeling over East Asia显示文摘East Asian dust(EAD) exerts considerable impacts on the energy balance and climate/climate change of the earth system through its influence on solar and terrestrial radiation, cloud properties, and precipitation efficiency. Providing an accurate description of the life cycle and climate effects of EAD is therefore critical to better understanding of climate change and socioeconomic development in East Asia and even worldwide. Dust modeling has undergone substantial development since the late 1990 s, associated with improved understanding of the role of EAD in the earth system. Here, we review the achievements and progress made in recent decades in terms of dust modeling research,including dust emissions, long-range transport, radiative forcing(RF), and climate effects of dust particles over East Asia. Numerous efforts in dust/EAD modeling have been directed towards furnishing more sophisticated physical and chemical processes into the models on higher spatial resolutions. Meanwhile, more systematic observations and more advanced retrieval methods for instruments that address EAD related science issues have made it possible to evaluate model results and quantify the role of EAD in the earth system, and to further reduce the uncertainties in EAD simulations. Though much progress has been made, large discrepancies and knowledge gaps still exist among EAD simulations. 19Flame-retardant concentrated electrolyte enabling a Li F-rich solid electrolyte interface to improve cycle performance of wide-temperature lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium–sulfur batteries have been regarded as the most promising high-energy electrochemical energy storage device owing to the high energy density, low cost and environmental friendliness. However, traditional lithium–sulfur batteries using ether-based electrolytes often suffer from severe safety risks(i.e. combustion). Herein, we demonstrated a novel kind of flame-retardant concentrated electrolyte(6.5 M lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulphonyl)imide/fluoroethylene carbonate) for highly-safe and widetemperature lithium–sulfur batteries. It was found that such concentrated electrolyte showed superior flame retardancy, high lithium-ion transference number(0.69) and steady lithium plating/stripping behavior(2.5 m Ah cm^(-2) over 3000 h). Moreover, lithium–sulfur batteries using this flame-retardant concentrated electrolyte delivered outstanding cycle performance in a wide range of temperatures(-10 °C, 25 °C and 90 °C). This superior battery performance is mainly attributed to the LiF-rich solid electrolyte interphase formed on lithium metal anode, which can effectively suppress the continuous growth of lithium dendrites. 20One-step approach for full-thickness skin defect reconstruction in rats using minced split-thickness skin grafts with Pelnac overlay显示文摘Background:Split-thickness skin grafting is the current gold standard for the treatment of traumatic skin loss.However,for patients with extensive burns,split-thickness skin grafting is limited by donor skin availability.Grafting split-thickness skin minced into micrografts increases the expansion ratio but may reduce wound repair quality.Dermal substitutes such as Pelnac can enhance the healing of full-thickness skin wounds,but their application currently requires two surgeries.The present study investigated whether it is possible to repair full-thickness skin defects and improve wound healing quality in a single surgery using Pelnac as an overlay of minced split-thickness skin grafts in a rat model.Methods:A full-thickness skin defect model was established using male Sprague-Dawley rats of 10 weeks old.The animals were randomly divided into control and experimental groups in which Vaseline gauze and Pelnac,respectively,were overlaid on minced split-thickness skin grafts to repair the defects.Wound healing rate and quality were compared between the two groups.For better illustration of the quality of wound healing,some results were compared with those obtained for normal skin of rats.Results:We found that using Pelnac as an overlay for minced split-thickness skin grafts accelerated wound closure and stimulated cell proliferation and tissue angiogenesis.In addition,this approach enhanced collagen synthesis and increased the formation of basement membrane and dermis as well as the expression of growth factors related to wound healing while reducing scar formation.Conclusions:Using minced split-thickness skin grafts overlaid with Pelnac enables the reconstruction of fullthickness skin defects in a single step and can increase the healing rate while improving the quality of wound healing.Tong Liu Chao Qiu Chi Ben Haihang Li Shihui Zhu 2019Burns & Trauma2019,7,1:7
