1Review on development of volumetric particle image velocimetry显示文摘Volumetric particle image velocimetry(PIV)is a laser technique measuring three-component velocity field in a volume.Common volumetric PIV techniques are defocusing PIV,multi-view PIV and holographic PIV.Tomographic PIV is an advanced approach of multi-view PIV,which significantly improves the spatial resolution of the measurement by using the multiplicative algebraic reconstruction technique(MART)to reconstruct the particle field.Due to the rapid progress being made in volumetric PIV measurements,this article focuses on introducing the principles of different volumetric PIV methods from aspects of particle reconstruction and velocity reconstruction.Advantages and limitations on applications are elaborated.Issues specific to volumetric PIV regarding illumination,digital imaging,depth of focus,ghost particle and spatial resolution are discussed.GAO Qi WANG HongPing SHEN GongXin 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,36:16
2Preparation and characterization of 3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane grafted montmorillonite and acid-activated montmorillonite显示文摘3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane grafted montmorillonites were synthesized with montmorillonite, acidactivated montmorillonites and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane in ethanol-water mixture. The resulting products were investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TG). XRD patterns demonstrated that silane was intercalated into the montmorillonite gallery, indicated by increasing basal spacings. These intercalated silanes probably adopt bilayer arrangement models within the montmorillonite and acid-activated montmorillonites interlayer spaces. TG and DTG curves indicate that acidification results in a decrease of the thermal stability of the resultant montmorillonites. 3Home risk factors for childhood pneumonia in Nanjing, China显示文摘Pneumonia is a major cause of childhood morbidity in China.Many studies of rural areas have found an association between pneumonia and air pollution from burning of bio-mass.The present study is of children living in urban,modern homes without burning of bio-mass.In order to investigate potential home risk factors associated with children’s pneumonia,China Child Home Health(CCHH)questionnaires were randomly distributed to parents of 6461 children in 23 kindergartens in all 11 districts of Nanjing,covering urban,suburban,and industrial areas.The 4014 valid questionnaires(response rate 65.7%)were returned and have been analyzed.The lifetime incidence of pneumonia in Nanjing children 1–8 years old is 26.7%.The incidence of croup,asthma and frequent common colds was strongly associated with pneumonia,as was a history of allergies in the family,and persons other than parents(for example grandparents or nanny)taking care of the child.Several home environmental factors,namely,dampness,lack of ventilation,using coal or natural gas(electricity as reference)for cooking,new furniture,and'modern'floor and wall covering materials were also significantly associated with pneumonia.The indoor environment typical of modern apartments in China was a risk factor for pneumonia among children.ZHENG XiaoHong QIAN Hua ZHAO YiLi SHEN HongPing ZHAO ZhuoHui SUN YueXia SUNDELL Jan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,34:3

5Extensive evolution analysis of the global chikungunya virus strains revealed the origination of CHIKV epidemics in Pakistan in 2016显示文摘Chikungunya virus(CHIKV) is a mosquito-borne virus that causes epidemics widely in the world especially in the tropical and subtropical regions. Phylogenetic analysis has found that the CHIKV lineages were associated with the spatial and temporal distributions, which were related to the virus adaption to the major mosquito species and their distributions. In this study, we reported the complete genome sequences of eight CHIKV isolates from the outbreak in Pakistan last year. Then we reviewed the evolutionary history using extensive phylogenetic analysis, analyzed lineagespecific substitutions in viral proteins, and characterized the spreading pathway of CHIKV strains including the Pakistani strains. The results showed that the Pakistani stains belonged to the ECSA.IOL sub-lineage and derived from India. The genetic properties of the Pakistani strains including the adaptive substitution to vectors were further characterized, and the potential risks from the occurrence of CHIKV infection in Pakistan were discussed. 17Concurrent validity of evaluating knee kinematics using Kinect system during rehabilitation exercise显示文摘Squats,ascending and descending stairs,and lunges are three functional movements popularly used in clinical rehabilitation.This study aimed to analyze the validity of the Kinect v2 for assessing the kinematics of three functional knee movements.An intelligent program was developed for real-time kinematic evaluation of the knee joint using the Kinect v2 system.Based on image recognition technology,images from the Kinect v2 depth camera were used to develop a kinematic evaluation program for knee joint movements.The kinematics of 30 healthy volunteers during stair ascent and descent,squatting,and lunging movements were collected synchronously with both VICON and Kinect systems.The peak knee angles in the sagittal and coronal planes were extracted and analyzed.A paired samples t-test and the relative coefficient within the groups were used for statistical analysis of the validity of the Kinect compared to the VICON.There was no significant difference(p>0.05)in bilateral knee flexion angle when lunging.No significant difference(p>0.05)was found in left knee flexion during squatting exercises.Although the Kinect generally underestimated knee flexion and valgus,it displayed excellent consistency and good to excellent agreement with the VICON motion analysis system.The results demonstrated that the Kinect based measurement tool for analyzing knee kinematics has the potential to be an effective clinical training device for maintaining knee alignment during exercise.Guojiong Hu Wenli Wang Bin Chen Hongping Zhi Yudi Li Yixin Shen Kuan Wang 2021Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2021,,3:0
