| 1 | A Strigolactone Biosynthesis Gene Contributed to the Green Revolution in Rice显示文摘Plant architecture is a complex agronomic trait and a major factor of crop yield,which is affected by several important hormones.Strigolactones(SLs)are identified as a new class hormoneinhibiting branching in many plant species and have been shown to be involved in various developmental processes.Genetical and chemical modulation of the SL pathway is recognized as a promising approach to modify plant architecture.However,whether and how the genes involved in the SL pathway could be utilized in breeding still remain elusive.Here,we demonstrate that a partial loss-of-function allele of the SL biosynthesis gene,HIGH TILLERING AND DWARF 1/DWARF17(HTD1/D17),which encodes CAROTENOID CLEAVAGE DIOXYGENASE 7(CCD7),increases tiller number and improves grain yield in rice.We found that the HTD1 gene had been widely utilized and co-selected with Semidwarf 1(SD1),both contributing to the improvement of plant architecture in modern rice varieties since the Green Revolution in the 1960s.Understanding how phytohormone pathway genes regulate plant architecture and how they have been utilized and selected in breeding will lay the foundation for developing the rational approaches toward improving crop yield. | Yuexing Wang Lianguang Shang Hong Yu Longjun Zeng Jiang Hu Shen Ni Yuchun Rao Sanfeng Li Jinfang Chu Xiangbing Meng Lei Wang Ping Hu Jijun Yan Shujing Kang Minghao Qu Hai Lin Tao Wang Quan Wang Xingming Hu Hongqi Chen Bing Wang Zhenyu Gao Longbiao Guo Dali Zeng Xudong Zhu Guosheng Xiong Jiayang Li Qian Qian | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,6: | 23 |
| 2 | Porous Si/C composite as anode materials for high-performance rechargeable lithium-ion battery显示文摘A novel porous silicon was synthesized through a magnesiothermic reduction method of molecular sieve for the first time, Si/C composite was synthesized by using pitch as carbon source. The porous Si/C composite shows a high initial specific capacity of 2018.5 mAh/g with current density of 0.1 A/g. When the current density increases to 2 A/g, it still exhibits high average specific capacity of 640.3 mAh/g. The porous structure can remit the Si particle pulverization during the lithiation/delithiation process. | 4 | Experimental Investigation for Co-Combustion Characteristics of Semi-Coke and Bituminous Coal in a 3 MWth Tangential Combustion Facility显示文摘An experimental investigation was conducted in a 3 MW pilot-scale tangential combustion facility to explore the co-combustion characteristics of bituminous coal mixed with semi-coke.The thermal gravimetric analyzer(TGA)was used to obtained fuel thermal analysis.The results presented effects of semi-coke blending ratio(BR)on average furnace temperature,ignition temperature,NO emission and combustion efficiency.The excess air coefficient in main combustion sections and outlet were fixed at 0.85 and 1.2 while BR increased from 0%to 50 wt.%.The temperature profiles of combustion decreases along the height of furnace while average furnace temperature fluctuates slightly with an increasing BR.The concentration of NO has an increasing tendency with the increasing of BR.The ignition temperature obtained from TGA measurement agreed well with experiment result.In addition,combustion efficiency was not sensitive to BR and decreased slightly with the increasing BR. | GUAN Jingyu YU Qiang SUN Rui SHEN Tao WANG Minghao YAN Yanfei SONG Xin | 2020 | Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,6: | 2 |

| 6 | A generic high-throughput microstructure classification and quantification method for regular SEM images of complex steel microstructures combining EBSD labeling and deep learning显示文摘We present an electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)-trained deep learning(DL)method integrating traditional material characterization informatics and artificial intelligence for a more accurate classification and quantification of complex microstructures using only regular scanning electron microscope(SEM)images.In this method,EBSD analysis is applied to produce accurate ground truth data for guiding the DL model training.An U-Net architecture is used to establish the correlation between SEM input images and EBSD ground truth data using only small experimental datasets.The proposed method is successfully applied to two engineering steels with complex microstructures,i.e.,a dual-phase(DP)steel and a quenching and partitioning(Q&P)steel,to segment different phases and quantify phase content and grain size.Alternatively,once properly trained the method can also produce quasi-EBSD maps by inputting regular SEM images.The good generality of the trained models is demonstrated by using DP and Q&P steels not associated with the model training.Finally,the method is applied to SEM images with various states,i.e.,different imaging modes,image qualities and magnifications,demonstrating its good robustness and strong application ability.Furthermore,the visualization of feature maps during the segmenting process is utilised to explain the mechanism of this method’s good performance. | Chunguang Shen Chenchong Wang Minghao Huang Ning Xu Sybrand van der Zwaag Wei Xu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,34: | 0 |
| 7 | Growing curly graphene layer boosts hard carbon with superior sodium-ion storage显示文摘Benefiting from the distinctive ordering degree and local microstructure characteristics,hard carbon(HC)is considered as the most promising anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Unfortunately,the low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)and limited reversible capacity severely impede its extensive application.Here,a homogeneous curly graphene(CG)layer with a micropore structure on HC is designed and executed by a simple chemical vapor deposition method(without catalysts).CG not only improves the electronic/ionic conductivity of the hard carbon but also effectively shields its surface defects,enhancing its ICE.In particular,due to the spontaneous curling structural characteristics of CG sheets(CGs),the micropores(≤2 nm)formed provide additional active sites,increasing its capacity.When used as a sodium-ion battery anode,the HC-CG composite anode displayed an outstanding reversible capacity of 358 mAh·g^(-1),superior ICE of 88.6%,remarkable rate performance of 145.8 mAh·g^(-1)at 5 A·g^(-1),and long cycling life after 1000 cycles with 88.6%at 1 A·g^(-1).This work provides a simple defect/microstructure turning strategy for hard carbon anodes and deepens the understanding of Na+storage behavior in the plateau region,especially on the pore-filling mechanism by forming quasi-metallic clusters. | Minghao Song Qiang Song Tao Zhang Xiaomei Huo Zezhou Lin Zhaowen Hu Lei Dong Ting Jin Chao Shen Keyu Xie | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
| 8 | Enhancing photodynamic inactivation via tunning spatial constraint on photosensitizer显示文摘The critical factor of spatial constraint,provided by the external confinement(e.g.,matrix),is often overlooked during photodynamic inactivation,despite playing a crucial role in determining the molecular photophysical process and subsequent antipathogen performance.Here,as a proof-of-concept model,we employed two types of polymers with varying interaction energies with dopants to investigate the intrinsic relationship between spatial constraint and the essential excited-state behaviors of doped photosensitizer(4-(2-(5-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)thiophen-2-yl)ethyl)-1-methylquinolin-1-ium iodine,TPP).Through experimental investigation and theoretical calculations,we found that TPP tends to remain in the excited state for a shorter dwell time under weaker spatial constraints due to less restricted molecular motion in polyurethane(PU) nanofibers.Consequently,the singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2)) generated from doped-TPP shows a 9.23-fold enhancement in PU than in the polyvinylchloride(PVC) matrix.Under light irradiation,the PU@TPP nanofiber can efficiently eliminate the coronavirus MHV-A59(≥99.9997%) at a 220,000-fold higher concentration than the infected space.Its antibacterial efficacy has also been demonstrated,with a killing rate of ≥99%. | Chong Li Minghao Han Ji Gao Shuxian Wang Song-Bo Lu Yaxi Li Zhao Liu Chen Zhang Zhaojin Wang Fangliang Wang Yuang Sun Chun Loong Ho Kai Wang Yun Shen Kai Li | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,2: | 0 |
