1Effect of Dy^(3+) on osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of mouse primary bone marrow stromal cells and adipocytic trans-differentiation of mouse primary osteoblasts显示文摘A series of experimental methods including 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bro-mide (MTT) test,alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity measurement,mineralized function,Oil Red O stain and measurement were employed to assess the effect of Dy3+ on the osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of mouse primary bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) and the adipogenic trans-differ-entiation of mouse primary osteoblasts (OBs). The results showed that Dy3+ had no effect on BMSC proliferation at concentrations of 1×10-8 and 1×10-5 mol/L,but inhibited BMSC proliferation at other concentrations. Dy3+ had no effect on OB proliferation at concentrations of 1×10-10 and 1×10-9 mol/L,but inhibited OB proliferation at other concentrations. Dy3+ had no effect on the osteogenic differentia-tion of BMSCs at concentrations of 1×10-9 and 1×10-7 mol/L,and promoted osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs at other concentrations at the 7th day. The osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs was inhibited by Dy3+ at concentration of 1×10-5 mol/L at the 14th day,but promoted osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs at concentrations of 1×10-9,1×10-8,1×10-7 and 1×10-6 mol/L with the maximal effect at concen-tration of 10-6 mol/L. Dy3+ promoted mineralized function of BMSCs at any concentration. Dy3+ had no effect on adipogenic differentiation of BMSCs at concentration of 1×10-7 mol/L,but inhibited adipogenic differentiation of BMSCs at other concentrations. Dy3+ inhibited adipocytic trans-differentiation of OBs at any concentration,suggesting that Dy3+ had protective effect on bone and the protective effect on bone may be mediated by modulating differentiation of BMSCs away from the adipocyte and inhibiting adipocytic trans-differentiation of OBs which may promote differentiation and mineralization of OBs. 2Photoelectrochemical performance of a sub-micron structured film with poly(3-methylthiophene) (P3MT)-modified CdTe/ZnO shell-core sub-micron tube arrays显示文摘A sub-micron structured film with a poly(3-methylthiophene) (P3MT)-modified CdTe/ZnO shell-core sub-micron tube array has been prepared by a series of electrodeposition processes, and a semiconductor-sensitized solar cell based on this structure was also fabricated. Vertically oriented ZnO sub-micron tubes were obtained on an indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate, and then CdTe nanocrystals and a thin P3MT layer were electrodeposited sequentially onto the walls of the ZnO sub-micron tubes. A suitable thickness of CdTe and P3MT could improve the photovoltaic properties of the solar cell, which was attributed to the enhancement in the light absorption and the decrease in the recombination of photogenerated carriers. In addition, a p–n heterojunction formed between the interface of CdTe and P3MT played an important part in the efficient separation and fast transport of photogenerated carriers in the sub-micron structure. 3Long-lasting impairments in rodent oxygen-induced retinopathy measured by retinal vessel density and visual function显示文摘In mild or moderate retinopathy of prematurity(ROP), retinal vessels undergo obliteration, proliferation, and regression. Despite complete regression of vessel abnormalities, a variety of visual impairments have been reported. Rodent oxygen-induced retinopathy(OIR) is widely used as a model to study ROP. However, the long-term changes of OIR model remain unclear. The aim of this study is to examine long term changes of retinal vessel and visual function in a rodent OIR model resembling human mild or moderate ROP. In this study, after subjecting the animals to 80% oxygen(O_2) for 5–7 d, the retinal vessel density at postnatal day 12(P12) was approximately 30% lower than that in the age-matched control, but this difference was not significant between the groups. Vessel abnormalities, such as vessel tortuosity, neovascular tufts, and the number of vessels protruding into the vitreous, peaked between P17 and P20. Despite the regression of many abnormalities, vessel density in the OIR group was 36% and 32% lower than that in the control animals at 6 weeks and 4 months, respectively. The visual acuity and contrast sensitivity were impaired in the OIR group when measured at 2, 3 and 4 months. Therefore, the rodent OIR model exhibited long-lasting reduction in retinal vessel density and visual impairments, similar to those observed in mild or moderate human ROP. 4Decreasing intraocular pressure significantly improves retinal vessel density,cytoarchitecture and visual function in rodent oxygen induced retinopathy显示文摘We attempted to explore a noninvasive,easily applicable and economically affordable therapy for retinopathy of prematurity(ROP).Rat pups were raised in 80%oxygen from postnatal day 7 to P12,and returned to room air.Travoprost eye drops were administered twice a day for 7 days,to reduce intraocular pressure(IOP)by about 20%.Immunohistochemical staining was performed to visualize vessel endothelial cells,to analyze retinal neurons and cytoarchitecture.Behavioral experiments were carried out to test visual acuity and contrast sensitivity.At the end of the 7-day treatment,the number of vessels extending to the vitreous body was significantly reduced and retinal vessel density increased.This improvement was maintained to the end of the12 th week.In the central retina of the model group,the horizontal cells were completely wiped out,the outer plexiform layer was undetectable,and the rod bipolar cell dendrites sprouted into the outer nuclear layer.The treatment partially reverted these architectural changes.Most importantly,behavioral experiments revealed significantly improved visual acuity and contrast sensitivity in the treated group.Therefore,reducing IOP could potentially serve as a safe and economical measure to treat ROP.Rui Du Xu Wang Ke Shen Shigang He 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,2:2

11Investigation on step overcharge to self-heating behavior and mechanism analysis of lithium ion batteries显示文摘To obtain intrinsic overcharge boundary and investigate overcharge mechanism,here we propose an innovative method,the step overcharge test,to reduce the thermal crossover and distinguish the overcharge thermal behavior,including 5%state of charge(SOC)with small current overcharge and resting until the temperature equilibrium under adiabatic conditions.The intrinsic thermal response and the self-excitation behaviour are analysed through temperature and voltage changes during the step overcharge period.Experimental results show that the deintercalated state of the cathode is highly correlated to self-heating parasitic reactions.Before reaching the upper limit of Negative/Positive(N/P)ratio,the temperature changes little,the heat generation is significantly induced by the reversible heat(endothermic)and ohmic heat,which could balance each other.Following that the lithium metal is gradually deposited on the surface of the anode and reacts with electrolyte upon overcharge,inducing selfheating side reaction.However,this spontaneous thermal reaction could be“self-extinguished”.When the lithium in cathode is completely deintercalated,the boundary point of overcharge is about 4.7 V(~148%SOC,>40℃),and from this point,the self-heating behaviour could be continuously triggered until thermal runaway(TR)without additional overcharge.The whole static and spontaneous process lasts for 115 h and the side reaction heat is beyond 320,000 J.The continuous self-excitation behavior inside the battery is attributed to the interaction between the highly oxidized cathode and the solvent,which leads to the dissolution of metal ions.The dissolved metal ions destroy the SEI(solid electrolyte interphase)film on the surface of the deposited Li of anode,which induces the thermal reaction between lithium metal and the solvent.The interaction between cathode,the deposited Li of anode,and solvent promotes the temperature of the battery to rise slowly.When the temperature of the battery reaches more than 60℃,the reaction between lithium metal and solvent is accelerated.After the temperature rises rapidly to the melting point of the separator,it triggers the thermal runaway of the battery due to the short circuit of the battery.Fengling Yun Shiyang Liu Min Gao Xuanxuan Bi Weijia Zhao Zenghua Chang Minjuan Yuan Jingjing Li Xueling Shen Xiaopeng Qi Ling Tang Yi Cui Yanyan Fang Lihao Guo Shangqian Zhao Xiangjun Zhang Shigang Lu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
12PROPERTIES AND IMMUNOACTIVITY OF MODIFIED IMMUNOGLOBULING BY METHOXYPOLYETHYLENE GLYCOL显示文摘Methoxypolyethylene glycols of 5000 dalton(PEG) have been attached covalentlyto human serum immunoglobulin G using 2,4,6-trichloro-s-triazine as coupling agent. The modi-fied IgG showed substantial changes in properties as compared with the unmodified IgG. The mod-ified IgG showed increase in molecular weight, increase of tolerance to temperature and PH, de-crease of immunogenicity and retaining most of its immunoactivity. The CD spectra showed no ap-parent changes in its main structure.
